The Athens at Night Tour is a Scam. You do not get to see anything at night the tour ends at 9pm

This was the worse tour I have ever purchased. If you book the night tour and expect to see Athens at night it’s a lie. Expect to get driven around in traffic and see absolutely nothing at night. The tour ends at 8:45 pm it does not get dark until 9:15

George was excellent, knowledgeable and well versed in the local history. Excellent customised tour including the ports, Glyfada, Olympiacos stadium and the CWG memorial garden near Piraeus. Excellent restaurant recommendation too. Very pleased, a wonderful evening. Nothing too much trouble.

Excellent private tour with very knowledgeable and friendly George. Some customisation to which George was very accommodating; Olympiacos stadium, Athens port, Piraeus front and down to the Glyfada beach resort. Fantastic stop off at the Phaleron CWG Greece memorial to the allied fallen. Meal location perfect too. Thanks George!

Great Tour and Service

Our friend who wanted to see the acropolis had broken her ankle and we wanted to acquire if this tour was even possible for someone to participate in a boot. Within minutes we had a response and were accommodating to even provide us with a wheelchair so she could use the elevator to go up to the acropolis level . She was super grateful and happy. Our guide Tony was super knowledgable and welcoming to our group of 6. He later took us to a delicious restaurant on the port that had the best seafood dishes ( per our request for good seafood).

this trip was part of a business meeting. the plan was to see the highlights in a few hours in comfort and it certainly did that. Great communication prior the tour to make seamless start, a super comfy Mercedes bus, and the highlight: Giannis. Excellent English, great sense of humor and great delivery of the stories. and most importantly also a fabulous driver. Enjoyed it so much, that would not mind to take the same tour again if I return.

The Best Way to Tour Athens

Prior to the tour the communication and follow-up was excellent. Pick up time and the place (at the port) was not an issue. Our guide Stefanos customized the entire three hours to meet our requests. He made us comfortable from the start and showed us his credentials. Stefanos is highly enthusiastic,extremely knowledgeable, and very likeable. Personalized the tour by sharing some of his own experiences and opinions with us. Highly recommend that you book this tour to see the City of Athens light up.

Worth every cent!!!!

For us, this was a 4 hour photography tour which exceeded all of our expectations. Our guide, Manos, was a photographer, understand our goals, knew all the correct spots and could assist with some difficult compositions. He was polite, courteous and very professional. He must be their best guide as I cannot imagine anyone being any better. So incredibly competent with a thought knowledge of the history of the city.

The guide was polite, courteous and very professional. A photographer, he instantly understood our expectations, knew all the rights spots and offered some intuitive insight when it came to unique compositions. The four hours went quickly, there was no wasted time and I feel this was an amazing value to travel with such a talented and knowledgeable guide. In addition to the photography, he also knew all the history so when we were traveling from site to site, he provided a thorough understanding of the city and it changes throughout history. Manos must be their best guide as I cannot imagine anyone could be any better.

A must do in Athens

Everything was fun & informative. My driver was an out of the box thinker and took us to local establishments where we dined with excellent service& foods.

Acropolis at Night

Our tour guide, Kyriakos (Sunday), was professional and personable. He picked us up on time. He reviewed with us the things we wanted to see and also offered additional suggestions/options. His knowledge of Athens, past and present, enhanced our experience. His suggestion for our request to dine near the Acropolis exceeded our expectations. We sat on the restaurant's outdoor terrace which overlooked the beautiful city of Athens with the Acropolis in the background....glowing in light. What a memory! The tour was well worth the money

A magical evening

Seeing Athens at night is to see this city in all its glory. From the Acropolis lit up, to a changing of the guard at the barracks, we experienced a magical evening. Our host Andreas, was perfect: funny, friendly, sensitive to Our physical limitations and just downright wonderful. We saw little neighborhoods, the city highlights and learned so much about this beautiful old city. We ended the evening with a delicious dinner at Arcadia. This is a great tour if you are short on time and a marvelous way to see Athens.

Definitely recommend this specific private nighttime tour of Athens

Andreas gave us a fun, informative, lovely evening tour of Athens. We primarily booked to see the Acropolis at night. We got that and much more. As a local, Andreas knew about all the right places (neighborhoods, spots to see a city overview or the picturesque Parthenon, or the changing of the guards.) We found him to be flexible to whatever we wanted to do (including an impromptu stop at a street fair or a stop for coffee or a snack.) We really enjoyed the changing of the guards (no crowd!) and learned a lot from Andreas’s commentary. We would DEFINITELY recommend this tour, company and guide. (I’d like to add that Demitra in Olive Seas’ office was also great to work with. We had a couple of glitches -all on my side - and she was quick, friendly, and responsive in getting things smoothed out. Thanks, Demitra!)

One Night Wonder!

Stefanos took us around Athens and showed us everything! The tour was everything we needed with only one night in Athens. It was a great way to see alot in one tour. We saw so much, got alot of history, and walked/drove. We really grew a appreciation for all Athens had to offer! Cant recommend enough!

Athens by tail lights

Although our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, and personable, the only lights we saw at night in Athens were AUTOMOBILE TAIL LIGHTS. For atleast half of the tour we sat in traffic. We were only offered water AFTER we purchased our own. Nit at all a good value for the money. I would nit recommend this tour.

Private Athens Tour At Night

We booked this because we were not able to get tickets to the Acropolis otherwise. 100% the best decision. Our guide Terry picked us up early at our hotel and hit all the highlights, was super informative, patient and kind. We made it up to the Acropolis, saw the changing of the guard at parliament, the Olympic Stadium, the Pier and many other important monuments in Athens. The van was comfortable, clean and air conditioned. Overall a terrific experience. We beat the heat, beat the crowds and Terry answered the many questions we had. He even gave us a great restaurant recommendation close to our hotel which turned out to be spot on! Thrush is the best way to see Athens!

Great tour!

Our tour guide was Babis. He was wonderful. Spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable and an excellent driver. We chose to skip dinner so we could see more sights. Even got to see the changing of the guards at the Presidential palace. Would highly recommend this tour and ask for Babis! Get to see a lot in 5 hours.

Great tour in a 5 hours

We had a wonderful evening tour. Our tour guide was Babis and he was absolutely the best. Very friendly and told us up front we are the boss. Gave us a choice between eating dinner and seeing more. We chose seeing more! Babis spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable and an excellent driver. Even got to see the changing of the guards at the Presidential palace!

One Of The Best Nights Of Our Lives!!!

I couldn't think of one thing I could have wished for that "Sunday" didn't thoroughly explain or show us!!! From the moment he picked us up, he had us engrossed in the history, scenery, and beauty of Athens. Our only regret was that it was getting late and we didn't have time to see and learn more

Lovely evening enjoying the daughter and views of Athens

We spent a lovely few hours being driven around Athens. I was travelling with my elderly mother and so we have some mobility issues to deal with, added to which we were both quite tired from getting up at the crack of dawn for a visit to the Acropolis. We explained what we needed And our driver took it completely on board and drove as close as possible to the relevant sites. He entertained us throughout the entire journey, and made sure that we enjoyed a great spot to watch the changing of the guard (including photos with the guardsmen) and some other great photo opportunities. he certainly had an inside track, having driven around the Foo Fighters whilst they were visiting Athens and we ended up having dinner in a lovely spot, pointed out by him. A really warm and engaging person and I would have no hesitation in taking another tool with him, or recommending the experience to others. All in all it was a lovely way to end our visit in Athens, he took some lovely photos of us and could not have been more pleasant. Thank you very much and all the best to you!

A different perspective

Knowledgeable driver/guide. Accommodated our site requests. Showed us some additional sites off beaten path. Plenty of time for pics. Didn’t realize entrance fee for most sites and not included in your cost.

Great tour, less crowds in the evening

We had a great experience with our driver, we were able to see most of the major sights our first evening in town, and decided to visit the Acropolis museum the next day

Unfortunately, not great tour guide

We are an extended family of 17 in Athens for 2 days before a Greek Island Cruise. We wanted a private tour of Athens with commentary. Unfortunately it was under rated. Out of all 10 days in Greece with tours this was our least favorite :( Excellent communication from Olive Sea from the beginning with details etc. (They even made us a dinner reservation at a cool rooftop bar/restaurant). and I thought fair pricing. Van was comfortable and new with good A/C. We were there when there was excessive heat so we could not visit the Parthenon instead they made arrangements for the Parthenon Museum. Our guide was very average. So average in fact - no one can remember his name for this review :( We had to ask questions to get him to relay information about Athens. He didn't have great skills to keep anyone interested. Thus lots of side conversations when he did speak. We didn't learn very much. To top it off after the museum he told us our tour was over (at 7 p.m.) I then got out my email that said our tour was until 8:30 p.m. and there were attractions we hadn't seen. He then continued the tour until 8:30 p.m., I'm sure he was annoyed that I caught this! I wish I could give a better review but unfortunately cannot recommend. I was disappointed.

Night tour with Terry

This was the best way to see and hear the history of Athens & Greece. Out of the hot summer sun, Terry guided us on a personalized tour where we were able to see so much. On our own we probably would not have noticed/booked as much so we were very grateful for this experience since we were only in Athens for 48 hours.

Athens by Night a Hit!

Having dinner on Lycabettus hill at Green Tent restaurant watching sunset was a definite highlight as was the changing of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Terry was a wonderful guide… so knowledgeable!

When In Greece

Nasos was a splendid tour guide! Our flight was delayed multiple times, not a problem for Nasos. Nasos, was patiently waiting and offered us a bespoke version of the tour to fit our time constraints. He was incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic and passionate about sharing the culture and history of Greece. We highly recommend Nasos and will certainly look for him next time we visit. We wouldn’t want any other guide for a driving tour. We feel like we are part of his family!

Best way to see Athens

Opted to beat the heat and crowds by touring Athens in the evening. Mannos was super knowledgeable about everything Athens has to offer! Took us to all the key places and even more! He was the best and most fun driver/guide we’ve ever had! Wouldn’t have done it any other way!! Amazing experience!

Perfect tour of Athens

Skip this one and find better ways to enjoy Athens at night.

Too many hours, very few experiences, but very nice van. The tour started at around 6pm with a non guided visit of the Acropolis for a little over one hour, a quick stop at the modern olympic stadium, the change of the guard at the home of the Prime Minister, and a 2 minute stop on a hill to get a view of Athens, and then a drive to a marina to have dinner. More than half of the tour are activities that you can do on your own. Spending 1:30 hours having dinner as part of the tour is a waste of time and money. Not worth it.

Excellent guide

Nasos our guide around Athens was excellent. He took us to the Acropolis and showed us some off the beaten path sites before dropping us off in a beautiful restaurant on the water. He was warm, friendly and accommodating!

Getting to know Athens in 4 hours

Our guide arrived right on time and made us feel very comfortable. He was knowledgeable and entertaining. We enjoyed getting to know Athens historical sights and background. The tour was flexible allowing us to spend time in the places we wanted to explore a little more. Our guide George was excellent.

Perfect evening in Athens with all the highlights.

We were only staying in Athens for an evening and this tour could not have been more perfect. Olive Sea and our driver, Andreos, communicated perfectly and tailored the evening to help us enjoy the city in a brief time. Andreos was so much fun - giving great historical details and making us laugh! He took us around the city and we stopped at the Olympic Stadium. Afterwards, he took us to a beautiful hilltop that overlooked the Acropolis. We were so mesmerized by the views that we opted to spend time having a delicious Greek dinner at the charming Green Tent. If you are considering this tour, do not hesitate. Our group is my husband, our children, thier signifcant others and myself - all agreed that we could not have imagined a better evening. DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR - horrible experience

Really bad experience. Would not recommend this tour to anybody!!!! And…it wasn’t even a tour!!! It was literally a driver who asked us.. “what do you want to see? I’ll drive you around”…I mean it was my husband’s and I first time in Athens (during our honeymoon, nonetheless).. no idea apart from the Parthenon what’s to see…they guy didn’t emphasize on different archeological sites such us The prison on Socrates (which we learned after the fact when we were back in the hotel), he took us to a lounge beach area that it was ok and he even said some really weird and inappropriate comments….really terrible experience for what we paid for. It was basically having an Uber but X10 times more expensive for no reason.
