Driver was nice

Our driver communicated with us and was on time. The one compliant was that he used the what’s up app, which luckily I had from a previous trip. I never use that app but had it.

No Car, No Driver

Car and driver "no show" . We arrived at the airport on time perused the arrival hall and location for over an hour. Where o' where is the car and driver? there was no way to contact the operator or company to inquire. We've used Viator on several previous occasions for travel tours with no problems. However, on this occasion for airport transportation, the service was well below expectations, in fact non-existent.

Very late

The driver was very late showing up at the airport, which caused a lot of anxiety. The driver seemed like a nice young man and a good driver, however, I would never sign up for the service again or recommended to anybody, especially for the price.

Chris took the time to show us around the neighborhood and point out the best places for pastry. He is knowledgeable as well as personable. I would request him if we were ever in Athens again

Our driver was professional, courteous and very kind. He was an excellent driver and had a wonderful personality. I appreciate the help with our luggage both at the airport pick up and at our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend use of Trip Advisor/Viator to our friends and family.

Missed driver but he was very good about trying to contact us. I forgot to turn on my phone and missed the contact

Missed flight

Our flight to Istanbul was 5 hours late, causing us to miss our flight to athens. We had no way to contact driver. So we did not arrive for pick up.

Chris did try to communicate via text, but I wasn't able to use that ....but evenually ...WHATSAPP....worked great. I had to meet outside as apposed to exit of baggage area.

Entire experience was hassle free. We were met at the airport arrivals hall and brought to our hotel safely and efficiently.

They never showed up. We waited over an hour. Tried to reach them. No answer. Viator support could not reach them either. What a disappointment.

Our private Driver, Dimitris was wonderful, engaging, sweet, professional, chivalrous, knowledgeable, prompt, and just awesome. He was on time for our pickup from Athens Airport. He was our driver for all of our transfers throughout our stay. He was friendly and made us feel very comfortable in his presence. He gave us lots of tips on places we can go to shop, dine, and tour. I highly recommend using this company and specifically asking for Dimitris. We will definitely visit Athens and use his services again.

A few mistakes but great customer services

Our flight was late so I was worried they would have forgotten about us. With that said, they called me while we were picking up our luggage which was a huge relief. We were told to go to exit 1 and call (maybe took 5 minutes). I did that but no reply. I called numerous times to no answer. Then called the main line. Somewhere between luggage claim and getting outside the driver was told to pick up someone else. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes and a different driver picked us up. He was very nice. Based on that mix-up I'd have rated the experience a 1 or 2 but the company issues us a full refund. That's great customer service and I'll book them again. The messed up, owned the mess up, and fixed it. Have my business for life.

Awful experience please stay away and safe ur money

Worst driver ever!! He wasn’t waiting for us and he made us wait 10 minutes in the heat saying that he’s only seconds away!! When he finally showed up he had an attitude.. Shortly after taking off towards the hotel he received a phone call put him on loud speaker ans started chatting loudly with laughters non stop until I asked 10 minutes later to stop as I couldn’t take it anymore!! Never again

We were collected by Dimitri from the airport he greeted us straight from arrivals, helped us with are luggage and was warm and friendly. He droves us to our hotel in the centre of Athens and had us laughing all the way! He gave us great advice of the local area and where the best places were to eat! Very pleasant experience

Our driver tracked our flight which arrived over an hour early and met us in as we left baggage claim. Dimitris was very nice and courteous. As far as matching the description of this service, different vehicle, not offered any water nor wifi. Not sure how this could be verified prior to arrival. We are very grateful for to our safe travels.

Best way to travel to and or from the Athens airport

Great and timely service at an excellent price. Very good communication ahead of service. Our ride was at 5:15 am and driver showed up even a little earlier. He was very polite and accommodating.

Book a car! Best decision we made starting our vacation off right!!

Absolutely a great decision to book a car! Our driver was waiting for us after our long flight. Helped with our luggage. Right to our hotel. So friendly and helpful. We were exhausted and the service was such a welcomed treat! No waiting, no looking for rides or figuring out the metro . Would book again in a heartbeat!

Knowledge and informative driver

Michael was waiting for us as holding a sign with our name. Our flight was 1 hour earlier but he checked the flight arrival to make sure he was there before we were. He handled all of our bags with no issues. He gave us a “tour” talk and suggested things we must see and do. A great way to start a vacation in an unknown place!

An hour late...

We booked this service so that, after a 15-hour flight into a strange airport, someone would be waiting (with a sign with our name on it), to help us with our luggage and take us to our hotel with a minimum of hassle. That didn't happen. We landed, collected our bags, went through customs, and nobody was waiting for us. There were lots of drivers, with lots of signs with names...just not our names. After a half an hour of looking in vain for our driver, I managed to figure out the Greek phone system, and called the number on our reservation. Somebody answered the call, and acknowledged our reservation. However, they said that "the driver is on his way", and that we should wait for a while and then go out a certain exit. We did. No driver. I called again. "He's getting close". Then they texted me the make of car and license plate of the car, and told me "to look for it". Imagine trying to look for a license plate at a busy airport. Finally--an hour after we had come out of customs--a guy pulls up in a TAXI with the plates we are supposed to be looking for. We get in the car, and register our complaint about being an hour late. He seems irritated and defensive, and makes some phone calls (speaking Greek). After a while, the driver admits that there had been bad communications (on their part), and sort of apologizes--"it wasn't your fault" he says. No kidding! Don't use this airport pick-up service! Just jump into one of the hundreds of taxis already waiting in line.

Reliable

Driver was exactly where he said he would be, on time, and friendly. Would definitely use again. Reasonably priced.

Mislead

We were really looking forward to this. Our flight was cancelled and although we gave them all of our flight information to check and were told we could change the time. We were redirected through Munich and called to reschedule immediately. The driver didn’t receive any updates and “ waited 2 hours” for us. Not sure why since I had let them know our flight was canceled and rescheduled. They were very unsympathetic and did not offer a solution. We were charged the full price.

A great ride!

Our driver, Demetris, was friendly and informative through or drive from the airport to our hotel. He efficiently and safely navigated us through the crazy Athens traffic to get us to our destination. He is truly an asset to the Viator staff an would look forward to our next ride if he were our driver.

What a great experience! It was a great was to travel to the hotel. Our driver was friendly and helpful! He provided great historical information as well as great food choices. We were very lucky to have him!

Totally dissatisfied

Terrible service, we arranged for a pickup for 4 adults with luggage. Told a luxury Mercedes limo with free wifi, snacks and drinks would pick us up. PAID 113.20 and was given a normal taxi, not enough room 4 people with luggage, no wifi, no snacks no drinks AND we had to pay for another taxi.

Great introduction to Athens!!!

Great way to start our honeymoon! Our driver (I believe his name was Dimitris) was waiting there and helped us with our luggage. He was very knowledgeable and gave us several tips for things to do in Athens. He took us up one of the hills there and took one of our first pictures in Greece. This little tour greatly filled in some time since our hotel room would not be ready until later in the day. Booking was stress free and the experience was unforgettable. I would highly recommend this driver and company for your airport transfer. It was a wonderful starting to a once in a lifetime journey.

Best ride ever. Dimitri was there patiently waiting even though we arrived about 30 mins late. His English was great which allowed us to have a very engaging conversation on the way to the hotel. He graciously offered recommendations of things to do, places to eat and food selections to try. Car was immaculate and his driving was excellent. Could not have had a better experience.
