Everything was so easy. Went to the 8 AM time and it was perfect. There was no crowd. The tickets were downloaded on my phone, so it was super simple

Great way to get in the Acropolis without a tour

Great way to get into the Acropolis without a tour guide and to skip the long lines. It was a self-guided timed entry ticket and you could get in 15 min early.

Booking through Viator was a waste

The Acropolis was spectacular, the only drawback was difficulty in obtaining the actual tickets with the QR code for entry. We were emailed a voucher but that was not accepted as the entry. Trying to find the actual ticket with the QR code was a challenge; we were directed to go to the email sent by Viator but it kept opening the voucher in the app, not the actual ticket QR code needed for entry. We wasted a lot of time trying to find it and figure out which line we needed to be in. The tickets should be readily available on the app, we should not have to hunt through emails trying to find the actual tickets, not the voucher. Also, the entry for the Acropolis during the summer is $15 euros pp, I stupidly paid $30 euros, there was no real benefit for purchasing in advance through Viator. Purchase the tickets in advance directly from the Acropolis and you will save $ and frustration

Be prepared

Everything was breathtaking. The views, the ruins, and the intricate sculptures. But be advised, the terrain is extremely uneven and slick. Couple that with excessive heat and sunshine, huge crowds, and not being able to take in any kind of food or beverage other than unopened water into the park was a bit offputting.

Acropolis Day

We spent a few hours at the Acropolis. The views were great, as were the Ancient monuments. Aeropagus Hill was right next to the Acropolis too.

Easy

Excellent access, great to have skip the line tickets! And really? I have to use 100 characters for this?

Disappointed

We were very disappointed in Viator. All the instructions said the e-tickets with a QR code would be sent via email. We never received an email and were denied entry. Viator chose not to provide us with the refund.

Easy to follow, helpful to skip the line

Directions were easy, very helpful to skip the line. The audio tour knew exactly where we were to play the right audio. Only thing they didn’t send our tickets until u messaged them to remind, but that was easy and worth it.

Must see.... THE ACROPOLIS !!!

Leisurely self tour with great instant audio. Amazing history in an idyllic place. Awesome 360 views of beautiful Athens. Bring water.... wear a hat !!! 😌😌😌

Great attractions but …,

We had issues finding and downloading our tickets with barcodes. We received numerous emails with proof of purchase, but struggled to find the link and get the barcode tickets downloaded the day of our visit. The attractions were amazing! Well worth the visit. The audio guide was not always corresponding with the specific attraction.

Buy this to skip the queue

Do yourself a favor by pre purchasing this ticket in advance, and skip the long lines. The audio tour that comes with it works well, provided you visit the spots in the given sequence and start from the main entrance. We arrive by HOHO busses and enter from the other end, the audio guide turn out to be a mess. But when we restart from main entrance, it went well.

Very confusing, thought...

Very confusing, thought was meet up with a person . Didn’t explain had to get in line or in the Q . And wait till are time . Didn’t realize that had to use data to pull up audio .But the Acropolis was great . But wouldn’t recommend using the app. Just get own tickets and go.

Poor service from Viator.

We bought tickets through Viator for May 14th at 10:00 am. However when we received notice the tickets were available they were not downloadable. I received an email on May 15th telling me the hour for which I purchased tickets was not available and that tickets for 11 am on May 14th were available. However this was one day after they were scheduled. Viator refuses to issue a refund. Buy your tickets somewhere else. I’ve deleted the App and won’t be using it again.

Worth every penny to prevent 2 Qs

Worth every penny , just head to the turnstile … use the one near the main bus change over as quieter and get there early!

Could have bought my own tickets

The sight itself is incredible and there are many signs with explanations. The audio for English was terrible. The person's accent was so thick that you had to concentrate to hard to listen and understand. Turned it off after 10 minutes. Figuring out the whole set up was confusing. Should be clearer.

Amazing!

It was absolutely amazing and very hard to comprehend how talented they were so long ago with out all the machinery we have today.

Too crowded couldn’t get in and no refund possible

Something was wrong, hundreds of people with timed tickets waiting, huge queues. No one being let in. We missed our time slot and ended up not going at all because there were over 300 people in front of us, no one with information or guides. Lines got really messy. I think a case of overtourism and poor crowd control perhaps combined with a strike?

Should have booked ticket direct

Tour of Acropolis was great but could have just booked entrance tickets direct and paid to download the online tour separately and saved a lot of money (doubling the entrance cost to supply the app wasn’t value for money)

Waste of time pre booking tickets

The queue, the ignorant queue jumpers, nil signage and waiting an hour for a pre booked tour. Once at the top however absolutely spectacular despite the crowds and idiots.

Acropolis Self guided tour

Just to see these amazing ruins was amazing! What an incredible achievement of construction! The guided tour added so much information to our tour. It was worth the climb just for the view. Highly recommended for more independent travelers.

Exceeds expectations.

The Parthenon is incredible and the history of the site is fascinating. Go to the Acropolis Museum first to really appreciate what you see at the Acropolis.

Great to see it again after 13 years

Easy to access tickets Gi early. UT gets very crowded in the afternoon. Spring Temps are not hot. Last time we here in August and it was very hot.

Your operator changed time

Booked 9am 5 weeks in advance. Day prior, sent tickets for 1pm!! Not acceptable as was attending a conference in afternoon. No refund offered.

We could not get in with...

We could not get in with the tickets you sent, we had to call the local tour company to get the tickets sent to us directly. This was not a good experience and not not worth the price.

Viator Voucher not accepted, had to pay extra to get in

Received the voucher from Viator for the entry tickets but was not accepted by the Acropolis ticket people. Had to buy two more entrance tickets to get in. Would have paid for an actual guide if it was going to cost that much anyway:(

Beautiful

The walk up to the parthenon was incredible, make sure to wear shoes with traction the walk was a bit slippery on the rocks. Bring wireless headphones possibly AirPods to share for best results with audio guide to listen but also walk around.

Acropolis did not accept voucher

The acropolis itself was amazing but I was sent a voucher that the ticket office did not accept and was told I needed to contact the company. I bought a ticket on the spot for 20 euros, I was charged $35 on Viator for the convenience of ordering online and it didn’t even work. The self-guided tour I downloaded was fine

It was an amazing experience!

It was once in a life time experience! The place was really part of history and there were less people too so this season is a good time to go.

Great sight seeing

Having the tickets and just going in. Even thought it says meeting place , it’s not because we already had the tickets . You just go to the entrence and scan your ticket. We call customer service and they answer the phone right away and explain.

TERRIBLE!

Rating should be MINUS TEN! The ticket links to our tickets did not work. We emailed the provider, which did not respond. The officials at the venue tried to get the tickets to load on my phone but could not. We had to buy two more tickets to save our day from being completely wasted. And then Viator REFUSES A REFUND. Travel friends, look elsewhere.

Great experience!

We enjoyed the Acropolis immensely! Trip of a lifetime! I wish the ticket process was easier. Waiting for the tickets AFTER receiving the voucher is confusing and too much correspondence. It would be better and more efficient to receive the tickets after payment is received!

Athens Graffiti Capitol

Acropolis was interesting and way too many people. Too hard for handicapped customers. Really sad to see graffiti everywhere in Athens - no one seems to care. Really sad

Changed my time

When I selected a time I selected 10 am - after I purchased the tickets came in for11. I needed the earlier time. So I didn’t get to spend much time there! I was on a schedule - I should have been told my time wasn’t available before it charged me. First time I’ve ever had trouble with Viator!

Must see and amazing site!

It a must to see the Parthenon while in Athens. It's an amazing acient ruins and incredible site! We enjoyed the our trip there. Beautiful area too!

We had a great experience and a good time getting there early to avoid the crowd. It was magnificent experience.

Highly recommend - a must when in Athens

I was in Athens for business and had a few hours before my flight. I got there for 8am and it was like I had the place to myself! Tickets were emailed 24 hours in advance and were scanned on my phone at the entrance. You probably need a good hour or so to walk round. If you get the opportunity, I also would recommend the Acropolis Museum at the bottom (which is €10 entry) and a walk around Plaka (the old town) which is very pretty.

Independent travelers

Very easy-to-use ...we set our own pace. Really enjoyed our time there. Liked that we could pick our time and stay as long as we wanted.

Recommend

Acropolis & Parthenon was on my list to see. Really enjoyed it when I saw it in person - absolutely stunning. However, we took the wrong turn and went out to the exit, We weren't allowed back in unless we bought another ticket. We missed seeing the Theatre of Dionysus.

It was an amazing experience

Wow, just had the most amazing Greek food tour with Tassous! 🇬🇷🍽️ The guy knows his stuff! We chowed down on some seriously authentic Greek eats while Tassous spun tales that brought the country's history and culture to life. It was like eating our way through a delicious history book! Highly recommend this tour – it's like a flavor-packed crash course in all things Greek. Tassous, you rock! 🌟👍 #GreekFoodAdventure

Self help tour

The only advantage from booking this tour is a skip the line entry. However, being there on the first day, one has to sort out what to expect from the tour operator as one could get confused at the entry point. No one is on site to help you but to give a call to the operator. Acropolis is a must when you visit Athens or you have not been really there if you didn’t. Great sights.

Tour of the Acropolis and the Parthenon

We enjoyed having the tickets ahead of time, but no information was provided, I thought we might have at lest a written English guide as to what we were seeing. We did appreciate them letting us use the elevator to the top since we were all over 70 and infirmed in one way or another.

Viator very difficult to...

Viator very difficult to find and tour on cellphone useless (numbers did not match, made no sense). Waste of money.

Will not refund

I was on a cruise and our ship did not stop, therefore I was not able to visit. The reason I'm upset is because I called the local provider to notify them that we did not stop because of weather conditions and I was asking for a refund or to get credit to another tour in another stop. I was told that I needed to send an email to request refund that it was not possible to do it over the phone. I send the email and received no responds. While another person booked with another company the same tour, they were able to get a refund when they called. So I would go some where else because you wont get your money back.

Time and no line up for tickets

Everything about it was awesome Wear very good shoes The audio part was good and up to date Make sure you choose your time of entry as they are strict about letting you in Hope you can find good internet as tickets only sent one day in advance

If you want a real guide, you're out of luck

It might have helped us skip the line for tickets, but I did not realize that the tour was downloaded walking tour to my phone, for which I did NOT have a headphone input line. Maybe it was my bad, I was arranging stuff at the last minute (another long story). I would not do one again that is only a downloaded tour.

No Refund

Nothing good about it. Our ship was canceled for coming into port that day. The company wouldn't refund me at all !!!!!

Iconic site, ruined

Iconic location, but too bad you’ll never see it through the throngs of people and scaffolding. Literally mobs of cruise ship people descend upon the monument starting as soon as it opens and only taper off in the late afternoon when it’s scorching hot out. Make sure to stay out of the way of narcissistic social media “influencer” photo shoots or they will surely let you hear about it. Overall, a magical and iconic world heritage site that has been ruined.

Acropolis and slopes

Easier to enter via the Acropolis museum side and exit the main ticket office entrance. Take water and hat with walking shoes.

Unable to Use

The tickets I purchased would not load, so I could not use them. I had to purchase tickets AGAIN at the Acropolis. Viator would not offer a refund. The Acropolis is gorgeous, but save your money and don’t book through Viator!
