Disappointing

Best to buy ticket on site lots of availability . Don’t go in the hour as precook starts then. Audio codes didn’t work ! Buy on site know what you’re getting!

Easy Eticket

The eticket was very easy to use. We arrived at 7:35 for the 8am entry and were 50-60 people deep. The audio was okay. If you’re offline the pictures will not show and it lags at different points.

Even though we purchased tickets in advance, the museum staff was not helpful to direct us to the audio which was included with the tour.

Tickets cancelled without explanation

We booked an 8am self-guided audio tour with admission tickets, however 20 minutes before the tour, I received an email stating our tickets had been cancelled with no explanation as to why. Especially with it being a self-guided tour, we were confused and frustrated as we had very little time and were already on our way to the site, where there were no more available tickets.

Great audio for a self guided tour

We booked the self guided Audio tour. We were dubious about the audio as it didn’t work on another tour. This one was great. We set our own pace, and weren’t restricted by a tour group. It was a hot day, so I’m glad we just had our AirPods and off we went. It was very informative!

Fantastic site but no audio guide.

Unbelievable views. We went at 8.15 am and walked straight in the side gait. Easy. We bought an acropolis/parthenon ticket with audio but the audio download on our ticket was for a guide to plaka and not acropolis/pathenon so had to go round the acroplis without a guide.

Don’t bother with the audio guide

The audio guide wasn’t great… the geolocation didn’t work very well and the audio content was a bit thin.

Acropolis

Walking up to the acropolis. It was so beautiful. I thought it was a great place to go and ticket was easy to get into.

Easy way to get into the Acropolis

We really did skip the queues at the ticket office. It was a really easy way to get in at a specific time and look around. We went at 9 when it was cooler and not quite so busy but there were already coaches from the cruise liners there. The initial entry point was busy but once you got up the stairs it was fine. We didn’t use the audio guide as we did not have headphones with us. However the signage was very informative and at frequent places around the site. There are lots of English speaking guides taking groups round so it is easy to pick up extra information from them.

you should of informed us that everything closed at 3:30. are tickets where for 2 pm. No chance to see multiple venues. i would like a partial refund for services not delivered

Don’t be fooled.

Don’t be fooled. The trip says audio for Acropolis & Parthenon. It only had audio for the area around it. We had to purchase additional audio for the Acropolis & Parthenon. We were told at the Parthenon it was 3rd party so they could not help. One of the few times aviator has disappointed and they refused to refund any of our cost. No Audio for Acropolis & Parthenon.

Easy to download and informative,without it you will feel you are just looking at a load of ancient ruins.I give it 10/10***

You will feel the spirits around you

What can I say? The place it self speaks for it… well I purchased my ticket online (just make sure of your admission time), and just a quick hint… if you have enough time in Athens dont do the Acropolis and the museum in the same day… make sure to have them separate, the museum first then the Acropolis… and when you do the Acropolis, make sure to have your audio guide with you, it will help you a lot. I did it in almost 3 hours, but to be honest, it needs a whole day (minimum 8 hours) to completely enjoy it.

Worth Purchasing in Advance

These "Skip the Line" tickets worked perfectly. I highly recommend buying these tickets in advance, especially now the the number of tourists to the Acropolis has been limited to a certain number each day.

Monumental experience

I was a little on edge because of what I read about the long lines, but with this pass was a 10 minute wait, no problems at all.

One of the best UNESCO sites in the world!

You will be wise to book this visit. The trek on the Acropolis & up to the Parthenon & other temples, is a must-do, when you are in Athens! It is absolutely incredible to see the remnants of history, right before your eyes! Amazing🇬🇷

Buy on spot or buy 10am time slot

Nobody tell us that the ticket's Barcode will only activate the time of your slot, if you arrive earlier, the barcode will not show of entering approval. Therefore you basically have to take the chance of waiting in line. Buying the tickets on the spot is not as bad as people think.

Ticketing, beware no wifi, print your ticket

The Acropolus was great yo view, however I recomend you have your tickets printed, you can not get onto the wifi, hundereds of people trying to download their tickets, staff are very unhelpful, we were told to walk back doen to a cafe and print or download our tickets, we dud this , when we got back to the entrance we were told we had mussed our 11am slot, we had a big argument with them and finally thet let us through, because we bought our tickets through tripadvisor and not direct, they were very unhelpful

Audio tour had nothing to do with acropolis

Tour was a waste of time it had nothing to do with acropolis so found a free one online just stick to buying your entry ticket

Wear good shoes

For seniors, and maybe others, I recommend sturdy hiking boots while on top of the Acropolis. I wore good walking shoes but my feet were very sore for two days afterward. The outcrop has many small imbedded boulders and one has to pay attention to maintain one's balance - and watch out for hundreds of other tourists.

A hot day tour at the Acropolis and the Parthenon.

The place is very busy with lots of visitors when we came. The weather was extremely hot too. We’re glad to see some renovations to upkeep the structures. We bought the skip the line ticket but it did not put to good use. There’s no one assisting those visitors with that skip the line option. With the many people visits everyday, there should be enough manpower to assist all the visitors.

Did not work for us

I have to rate this so poorly because we unable to use them and had to buy new tickets while we were there. In addition, they did not refund any of our money. I was unable to pull up the code they needed to see. I don't know if it was me or the system. I was able to get codes for other places. I contacted them multiple times but never got it to work.

Not Value for Money

Audio guide didn't work, despite downloading the file and granting permission for the app to access my location. All it showed was a blank, blue screen. The WiFi in the Acropolis didn't work either (said the router needed to be reset). I've basically paid £28.70 for an entry ticket. Very disappointing.

Acropolis

Great view, but extremely hot and crowded. Unusually hot temperatures. Very glad we went though. The view and history is worth it.

Great value for self managed visit.

Great value for both these audio guides which makes for a leisurely walk through the Acropolis and Plaka with 1 entry ticket. I bought 1 extra ticket as well.

Must do in Athens

Very crowded but it is the season, it should specify in the description that this ticket skeeps the line to buy enrty tickets not to enter the acropolis, some people were trying to cut in line

Skip the line for tickets is pointless, the huge queues are to get in after buying a ticket

Skip the line ticket purchase is pointless. I saw barely any queues for tickets mid morning, but the queue to get in through security was horrendous. 1 and half hours in the sun. No point what so ever of buying the tickets on line. Not sure if it is always like this, but when we came out about 2pm, the entrance queue was gone, so next time I would definitely try later in the day. Well worth the visit though. Online audio we struggled with. Could not see our phone screens properly in the bright sunlight, even on full brightness in order to manage navigation of the audio, so we gave up.

Great venue couldn't get audio

The actual place was well worth a visit but once we got there we still had to queue to get in and were told we could get the audio once in but that was not the case. We therefore did the tour on our own without the audio so could have just bought a normal ticket. I couldn't find any instructions which we may have missed?

Acropolis yes but don’t forget the Areopogas!

Majestic experience. Late in the afternoon, however, the crowds were still about. Hot. Walked down tthe other side to Agora and on to flea markets for last H-O-H-O bus. The magic of the evening was to recognize that the Acropolis & temple of Athena looks down to the Aeropogas (mars Hill) where the apostle paul (Acts 17:24) proclaimed to the philosophers of Athens that the God who created the world does not need to dwell in a temple or need humans to serve him. I’m sure the gods looked down on the tiny man on the tiny hill and thought, “nah, Christianity will never catch on” amazing juxtaposition to look for when you visit the big A and look down on the little A (and have Acts 17 screenshot at the ready).

Waste os money

Completely unnecessary to by this “skip the line”. There is no real line to by yockets. The line is really to enter the Acropolis. It took us 1.2 hours to get in!

Very disappointed

Be very careful As This vendors tickets are NOT IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE… i made the mistake of purchasing tickets here and couldn’t download tickets because the fine print said 3 days later tickets will be available…. I’m absolutely disappointed! Furthermore… there’s no refund. Completely unfair. I had to purchase new tickets at the Acropolis that day.

Skip the line tickets not worth it as you still have to que

The actual experience of the Acropolis once you enter the complex is amazing However the ques to get in are something else. Having skip the line tickets only means skip the ticket queue. You then have to join the main entrance queue to get in. So not saving any time at all. Very few signs to tell you either so you rely on fellow travellers or walk up to the entrance and then retrace your steps. The idea of skip the line is an amomly and just a way to get you to pay more.

Good but not perfect

The guide was clear and useful, but not so easy at first. You must download an app to start, and in the area the connection comes and goes. It has a GPS function that lets the audio start when you reach every spot. It can be good, but sometimes really annoying. Except that really good!

No "skip the line" option upon actually arriving at Acropolis, and no place to access audio tour. Tickets gained us entry to thousand-person line

Was very busy due to peak season, it may have been better to go in winter months, very overwhelming with the heat Also there was still loads of ques That being said you must go see when in athens

Outstanding

Late afternoon was a great time to visit in full sun, blue skies and no queue. Beautiful to look at and from. Our highlight of Athens. The pathways and information are clear, the walk is not too steep and we lucked in with an orchestra rehearsal in the amphitheater on Sunday

Worth the cost.

Avoided a huge queue. Went straight through and the audio kicked in for the tour. Each time we passed a specific point to audio cut in and continued to play with the relevant information

Just buy directly at the location. 50% upcharge on every ticket and you get nothing for it…

There was no place to pick up audio and no one to help. Just buy a ticket there and you’ll save money and your ticket will be honored.

Only skip the ticket line

You only get to skip the queue for buying tickets. We still had to stand in line to enter the site. We chose to go explore other sites and returned after 3pm and walked straight in. As the queue for tickets aren’t significant I wouldn’t bother with skip the line tickets for this place.

Falling in love with Athens.

Easy to use, I checked to see the best time to visit. I was able to walk directly to the entrance, scan my ticket and walk around listening to my audio guide. It does need better signage, but the is not the problem of the tour operators. An absolute Must see when you are in Athens!

This was really busy. There are 2 lines, one to purchase tickets and the second is the line to get in. It took us over 1.5 hours in the 2nd line just to get to the entrance. Even the skip the line tours had to wait in the second line. You have very few chances to take pictures going up because the amount of people is like a herd that has to keep moving. Once you get to the first site it thins out and you can take time for pictures and exploring. It was worth the wait.

Needs better signage

Everyone was confused as to where to get in line. Didn’t see anyone to ask or any signs indicated where to go to Skip the Line. Be aware that tour guides will hold up their signs and walk their group past you in line. Don’t let them

Day Trip in Athens

The Acropolis and Parthenon were absolutely beautiful. There was room to explore on your own and also read about each of the buildings. The line to get up into the Acropolis was long and moved kind of slow (it was brutal on a hot day) but there isn't much that can be done about it. Have patience, sunscreen and water. We spent about 1.5 to 2 hrs with the line and exploring.

Definitely buy tickets ahead!!

We were so happy we decided to use the app and get our skip the line tickets!! I literally purchased them a few hours before we arrived at the Acropolis , and it enabled us to go right thru .

Many people have a ticket like that do suspect to que all the way up. But its worth it. Akropolis area snd the Parthemon is fantastic.

Nice for Skip the Line, Average Audio

The translation for the audio tour wasn't the best, and the app didn't work the greatest. We found the signs with information more beneficial than the audio tour itself. Nice being able to skip the line but since we went for 8:30am there was no line anyway.

Highly recommended

Skip the line saves you time! Great option especially during hot days! The audio guide was very good and full of useful information about the history of this great monument! Highly recommended!

Don’t Bother

Buying the ticket online avoids the line at the ticket counter but it does not avoid the much longer line at the entrance gate. The audio guide would not play. I was able to down load it and display the text version but it could not get the audio version to play. The text version was pretty lame with little information and in poor English. We had been to the Acropolis Museum the day before and learned enough about the Parthenon to guide ourselves. For us the audio guide was a waste of money.
