What a Viator let down!

Waiting in line Thanks Viator. It would have been great to get the dates of closure straight. Lots of fun wasting our time.

Don’t get scammed!

Headout Skip the Line is a scam. Their website will totally confuse you. It will ask you to retry, which you will do but with little success. Then later you will get an email saying you have tickets, and in my case two pairs of tickets. Unfortunately the email came after my wife and I bought tickets at the door. Contacted Headout, and they told me they had a nonrefundable policy on all tickets. So we were stuck with these tickets. Also the tickets at the door were cheaper with little or no line, and audio guide was free. Good Luck

The skip the line ticket is a good option, it's not a Viator issue but the skip the line entry is not clearly signed and difficult to find

Beautiful Museum

The museum is modern, well planned and laid out. Everything is beautiful and well described. The museum pieces are in great condition and depicts a lot of the magic that Ancient Greece had to offer The only negative I have is the lack of interactivity for kids, there was only 1 small section for this. The other is a huge missed opportunity for an amphitheater type setup (or 3D room) with video of the history of Greece through the ages.

Must see in Athens

Very interesting place. If you’re into ancient history you’ll love this place. We did. I was expecting to see dinosaur bones though and was disappointed there weren’t any. (Just kidding. Or am I?)

Acropolis Museum skip line tickets

Viator was absolutely terrific with our tickets to the Acropolis Museum. I highly recommend using this method as the entrance can get clogged with people. This allowed us to gain entrance with total ease My thanks

Acropolis-super

The Acropolis Museum is amazing. And right by the Plaka. Now I am adding more because viator basically is demanding it.

Fabulous museum—they have so many original pieces from the Parthenon. Vast collection of Kore and Athena statues along with many other gods and goddesses. Beautiful place with large cafe and two gift shops. Don’t miss this if you are interested in Greek mythology!

Definitely sign up for skipping the line here, so that you may enter one if the best museums the world has to offer!! Easy to navigate & so interesting!! Athens has many museums, though this one is by far, a must-visit one!!

Worth Your Time and Money

This Museum is definitely worth your time. It has lots of cool things from the past and very historical.

Breathtaking

The museum was so large and full of incredible information on the historical site. No backpacks unless you are willing to check them with a holder. The ticket is also valid to see the ruins under the museum that were discovered when building the site. Breathtaking history.

Worse experience I have used in any online purchase. The site made no mention you couldn't buy same day tickets , and when we tried to change date the system didn't allow it. This was all done whilst on phone with help centre. No help at all . To make matters worse, we paid 4.50 euro premium for 4 persons , not to get . Keep the 79.50 euro as a donation, I will never use your service again and will be telling family.ily and friends

Loved this place. Skip the line was great, did not need it as we went early, but would be a required if went later in the day when the line was so long

Worth seeing before going up to the Acropolis

Definitely enriches your experience before you go up to the acropolis!!! The design that mimics the acropolis is brilliant! Never before seen items and displayed beautifully!!! The cafe was a nice break with an amazing view. I do wish the British museum would return the missing muse… only seems right! And don’t forget to view the underground archeological dig site! So glad we went… ps the skip the line ticket was perfect!

Disappointed and no Refund

I was not able to pull up my tickets and neither was the information desk at the museum. All we could pull up was This Is Not Your Tickets. The phone number to call was invalid. My husband ended up purchasing cheaper tickets at the Museum. By the time tickets were send via email and text we were gone

Human Thinking at its best

The staff where amazingly helpful in a Tripadvisor muck up with my ticket. Thankyou. Of course this is an incredible museum with well spaced, curated and informed exhibits. The space accommodated the huge crowds.

A must see in Athens - the excavation of the city underneath the museum is incredible. So many artifacts to look at.

Very nice museum

A lot of history in this museum. Can go through it at your own pace. You can look at the ruins that were found below the building and then go into the museum yourself. Has a cafeteria on the second floor where you can get coffee, drinks, and some food.

Very Stress to get eTickets

In the end I received the eTickets, but it was very stressful to obtain the eTickets. I was promised the eTickets would be sent by 1 June by the provider, but the never came. I had to reach out to the provider on 9 June the day before I needed to use the eTickets at 0900 hours. After not receiving a response from the vendor, I reached out to Viator, your communication options made it hard to reach Viator. I.was using a eSim data only and couldn’t call the support line. It would have been nice to chat with Viator through your application!! Viator did work with the vendor to get the eTicketsb but initially the urgency was not recognized. Thankfully we received the eTickets in time. Thanks to all!

Got my tickets 3 hours...

Got my tickets 3 hours late and could therefore not use them! Do not recommend this company for traveling.

Awful experience--museum e-tickets never arrived; had to buy actual tickets at museum!

Awful experience! Ordered and paid for museum tickets weeks before the intended visit, yet no e-tickets ever arrived! Just kept getting repeated emails stating "This is your voucher. These are not the tickets". Upon arrival at museum, had to pay in cash for actual tickets. Then, AFTER the visit, e-tickets arrived in email. I requested complete refund of previous payment to Viator and received the response "No refund can be given"! I will be appealing this, and if still no refund, asking my credit card company to retract the payment.

Great tour

We had a great guide who had a lot off experience and did a great tour. What a pleasure was Alexia as a guide, showing us and telling us a lot in the museum and on the way and on the top of the Akropolis. It was reAlly a pleasure

Morning tour

What a view of history! Amazing reconstruction of missing pieces, one could tell because of the different color and materials. Must say, out door signs of skip the line, pre purchased group ticket, and purchase tickets would be helpful. Special school days and or times for children would also help. As some elderly people can’t handle the noise and rush. Cafe sandwich was just enough for hubby and I to share.

More time to explore instead of waiting in line for tickets

Skip the line is always the best especially in such a crowded attraction. We were able to go right in and start exploring!

A great addition to visiting the Acropolis

The history of the period was presented really clearly, and the exhibition items were well spaced - not over crowded.

Get an e ticket, it’s worth it.

Walked straight into the museum with no hassles. Left backpack for free in the cloakroom. Museum on one level but floor made of glass so could see the excavation underneath- really cool. Then walked around the excavation - jam-packed with history!

Beware--never received the tickets, no communication from company!

This was unfortunately my one bad experience during a 2-week stay in Greece. I bought these "skip the line" tickets to save time and streamline my visit--but it had the opposite effect. I never received the tickets. I tried to contact the tour company, since they said I should specify my desired start time. They did not respond to direct messaging. When I arrived in Greece, I also called--but they do not pick up. I finally just went to the museum, and the staff there also had no record. But thanks to the wonderful ticketing manager on duty--she actually called the company, and also got no response. After some back and forth, the museum finally comped me the tickets and said they would take it up with the company. But it was frustrating and time consuming, and only saved by the great museum staff. Don't buy through this provider!

Absolute Must Buy

A visit to the museum is an absolute must and as the queues to buy tickets are so long it's a no-brainer to buy this "skip the line" ticket - it was only 2 euros more than the nomal entrance price of 10 Euros

Must send QR code

The 3rd party must email the QR code, not just a ticket to the customer. The customer will not be allowed into the museum without it. With no line, it took nearly 40 minutes at the counter to get this issue resolved.

Not really a Skip The Line Ticket

When I buy a Skip the Line that gives you a printable ticket (did this in Vatican City and Rome at various attractions), I am expecting a special entrance with own security line, show the ticket, and get in. This is not that kind of skip the line. This does not really skip any line. You still need to stay in the long common Security line, then stay in the long Tickets line to exchange the printed ticket with a new ticket, and then stay in the Museum Entry line to finally get into the museum. Thus 3 lines not skipped.

Would you believe no line?

Anyone with an interest in Ancient Greece must prioritize the Acropolis Museum. It is thoughtfully laid out, with room to move through the exhibits (and people). The exposed excavations below the floor level really bring history to life.

Do not buy, do not cut the line and the ticket does not work at the entrance to the Museum

We do not recommend these tickets. We arrived at the Museum, our skip-the-line electronic ticket gave us absolutely nothing, we had to queue. In addition, at the entrance, our ticket did not work, it was not recognized by the machines. A little more and we had to buy a ticket on the spot. Luckily, the lady at the entrance was empathetic to our cause and eventually let us in. We paid a lot (more than $40 per person) for a ticket that doesn't work. We would have been better off doing the tour with the Athens Walking Agency from whom we purchased the Acropolis tour the next day. For the same price, they offer a tour of the Museum with the guide.

Apesar dos pontos acima, vale a pena a visitação.

Faça no mesmo dia do templo de Acrópole, pois um complementa o outro. Demora cerca de 2h nesta local, não mais do que isso. Em alguns espaços não podemos entrar, pois não permitem carrinho de bebê e está informação não foi repassada na portaria e nem na compra do ingresso. Contudo, vale a pena para conhecer a história.

Great museum, the process of sending the tickets in advance was extremely annoying.

The museum itself is fantastic, and everything worked out on site. But it's pretty complicated beforehand. You keep getting messages from Tripadvisor telling you to download your ticket, but the PDF always just says "This is not an admission ticket". The actual ticket is supposed to be sent by email about 2 days before booking, but unfortunately that didn't work for us. It worked using a link hidden well in the email. Unfortunately, the ticket still said "10 a.m." as the time slot, even though I had previously specified a different time. As I said, everything worked smoothly on site, but it took a lot of effort beforehand.

Flott og informativt museum

Jeg og min mann kjøpte skip-the-line billetter til museet. Vi gikk rett inn forbi køen. Museet er vakkert, informativt og et flott sted der du lærer om historien. Utgravningene under museet var spesielle og utrolige å se på nært hold.

El museo es imprescindible para completar la visita hecha a la Acrópolis, y trasladarte con la imaginación aquellos tiempos. Fácil para hacerlo en el mismo día pues no está a mucha distancia de esta. Con viator fue fácil conseguir las entradas lo que recomiendo si se quiere evitar largas colas. Si eres de los que te gusta ver las cosas con tranquilidad y te llevará toda la mañana visitar ambas cosas.

Prix plus élevé que celui officiel et ticket reçu en retard. Nous avons du en racheter. Impossible de prendre contact avec l’agence. Téléphone et mail sans réponse
