Awesome guided tour

Our tour was excellent thanks to our guide, Lydia. Her extensive knowledge about the site enriched our experience, and she skillfully kept everyone engaged, from the youngest at 9 to the oldest at 84. Lydia was always mindful of our comfort, ensuring we stayed hydrated and found shade whenever possible. She also proactively took pictures of our group at the best spots, capturing wonderful memories. Highly recommend this tour for an insightful and enjoyable exploration of the Acropolis!

Malfunctioning Equipment

The equipment kept failing during our tour since the beginning. This was true for the almost everyone on the our. We had to try to get close to the tour guide but with 20 people on the tour and multiple groups nearby this was not very possible. We didn't get to hear as much history as we hope due to the malfunction.

Amazing Tour!

Our tour guide Demos was funny, extremely knowledgeable, and personable. The tour started on time and provided us with an up close and personal experience of the Acropolis. An unforgettable once in a lifetime experience.

Very insightful tour, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and found the whole tour very interesting. Make sure to take an early morning tour as it gets to hot after 11

Great day in Athens

Amazing guide ! Very informative !! Lots of fun and the information was amazing . Would highly reccomend this tour to get some history on this amazing place.

Awesome Tour

We went at the 530 pm tour. Our tour guide was so sweet and always took time to rest in the shade and hydrate. Thankfully it was a much cooler day, but this was perfect. The kids did as good as they could and we were able to complete the tour without much complaint!

Prefect length of tour!

We had an excellent guide! She was extremely knowledgeable and considerate and always made sure our entire group was together!

The guide was so informative!! and making sure everyone was at a pace and taking time in the shade as it was sooo hot!!

Excellent tour guide, seamless audio connection

Our guide, Doreena, was excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Greek ancient history and had an engaging way of weaving in fun facts to keep the teenagers interested.

Not for us but nice guide.

This tour was not for us. As much as the history was interesting it was too hot to stand around and when the lovely guide was taking pictures of everyone we handed in our headsets and took of on our own. I guess we're not patient people but the group had 23 people and kids and we wanted to just bolt up the hill and see everything and read on our own. Nothing bad to say about the organization or your guide she was gracious when we told her our plans but not worth it for us and we learned we don't like group tours especially outside in 32 degree weather ha!

Acropolis tour extraordinaire

There’s just so much to see in Athens! Obviously, the Acropolis/Parthenon was at the top of our list with a few days we were there. Really appreciated our guide, Anna, who managed to keep our group together despite some challenging members. Lots of interesting information without adding too much extraneous stuff (as guides sometimes do) so that we could really see and appreciate all the things. And I will forever remember how to say “thank you!” in Greek thanks to her memory trick 🫣

Not skip the line, earlier than quoted. Good tour.

Finding the place was easy down by maps, and close to the acropolis. The “skip-the-line” only skips the ticket purchasing line, that line however was not long atleast in the morning. If you do not purchase the tickets through Viator you can do so through this company they will give you a link to purchase the tickets directly from the acropolis 20€ per person for the acropolis or 35€ per person for the acropolis and museum. We booked the 9am slot, however, 2 days before the event we were messaged saying we needed to be there by 8am-8:30am, if not they would leave. We were done the acropolis (before the museum) by 9:50am. Overall good tour and kept us in the shade a lot.

Awesome people

It was amazing. They gave us a baby carrier for the time and the staff were awesome. Highly recommend. Anna was superb 🙌🏾

Acropolis and Parthenon guide tour

Excellent guide who was very considerate of the extreme heat (the Acropolis was closed due to temperature earlier in the day) stopping in the shade and giving us a sit down rest half way up. Really interesting talk on the historical context, Athens impact on the western world and the history of the city and its acropolis.

Excellent guide and views

The tour was great. Views amazing. Tour guide was amazing. Very knowledgeable and fun. Would recommend this to everyone.

Acropolis tour

Very well organised tour. Pleasant guide! Highly recommend to book early hours during summer time. Booing Acropolis museum is must too.

Slower than necessary

Tour could have probably been half the amount of time. The guide walked incredibly slowly, leaving us standing in the heat/sun for longer than necessary. An audio tour at your own pace would probably be a better option.

Hike

True guy had a good history of acropolis and Athens and Greece. We found it very educational and made the hike up the Acropolis much more enjoyable.

Easy location to find, well organized tour that provided lots of information. The whisper guides were essential with so many tours going on at once around us!

Tour was very organized. Margaret was an awesome tour guide. She had a pleasant voice and we enjoyed the pace of the tour. I would definitely recommend.

Terrible guide

The guide was not good. Just rambled on and on. Over half the people left she was that bad! Worst guide we ever had at the Acropolis

Seeing the Parthenon and...

Seeing the Parthenon and walking though while seeing this amazing site. Our tour guide Marguerite was extremely knowledgeable. However, the headphones did not work well at all. They were constantly going in and out. Big bummer not being able to hear all she had to share

Best way to tour the acropolis

Fabulous tour with Anna. Strongly recommend this tour as a means of getting admission in the morning before the heat becomes unbearable. Enough information imparted to be interesting but not boring.

Very informative, and a fun first day in this beautiful little city. It was a very hot day be sure to have water.

A must see

Our tour guide was extremely informative and entertaining. Of course Athens in June is a bit overwhelming. Lots of crowds and the heat! However, this can’t be avoided and we knew what we were getting ourselves into. We have done so many tours with Viator and this was one of the best

Wonderful Tour!

We went during a heat wave, but our guide Anna made sure to find us shade and keep us entertained enough we didn’t notice as much. It was a great experience and my group had a great time! It’s not everyday we get to see such a beautiful piece of history, and we’re very lucky we had an excited and knowledgeable guide like Anna to walk us through it all.

Perfect visit despite the heat

It was a million degrees out, but somehow our amazing guide (Lydia) kept finding little patches of shade for us as we ascended. She shared just the right amount of info to keep us engaged without boring the kids. She got us to the top as the breeze started to kick in and the sun moved in such a way that we were able to enjoy our time spent in a wholly unshaded area. She stopped in the best photo points and offered to take photos for everyone who wanted (and wow!!! Her photos turned out amazing!!! Give that woman a raise!!)

Hot but Lydia made the afternoon!

Hot as could be out but Lydia was fantastic! She had us stop in the shady spots, reminded everyone to drink water often. So knowledgeable and friendly! Even kind enough to take family photos! She’s the best!

Angeliki Sourdi was our tour guide and she was fantastic! Funny, energetic, warm, and brilliant. We learned a great deal about Greek history and culture and she was very conscientious about trying to keep up out of the blazing sun. Highly recommend!

Don’t miss this tour

Acropolis and Parthenon are not to be missed. Great guide with loads of historical and present day info. Grueling climb on hot days; lots of crowds. But guide is very effective at measuring abilities and finding shade. Certainly crowning 3 hour tour at the end of our 19 day trip.

Acropolis now

Great tour with interesting commentary by a knowledgeable guide Effi (Happy). Very efficient group formation at beginning of tour. It was a hot day and Effi always made sure we had shade when we stopped which made all the difference.

My wife and I went on this great Acropolis tour. Anastasia was our guide. She was very knowledgeable and took us back to the days in history like we were all there. I'd highly recommend this tour.

The guide was really engaging and kept everyone's attention throughout the tour. Despite the crowds she was able to help us navigate the sites.

Great tour

I am uncertain about the value of the tour ($60 for tour vs going it alone for approx. $22) but the guide, Katerina, was wonderful. She provided so much historical information and was mindful of our pace given the heat and age range of our group of 18. I highly recommend taking a small, lightweight umbrella as well as water.

Hard to understand guide and just average information

I found our tour guide difficult to understand in English and she had a stronger accent than anyone else we met in Athens including taxi drivers, waiters, etc. I found myself listening to information other tour guides standing nearby were telling their groups as it was more interesting.
