We had a wonderful and educational day. We loved being on a private tour with just our group of six. We were able to visit much more than we could have on our own in this amount of time. The guide was nice and courteous and extremely knowledgeable. Lunch was delicious. We ate outside on a lovely street - It was obvious that this was a favorite spot for locals. A overall delightful day. We all highly recommend this tour!

Great guide!

Elias was an excellent driver. He was most informative, providing us with a great deal of historical and present day information. His picture books added to the experience. He adapted to our needs and schedule, was very respectful, and made our tour a beautiful day. He was able to adapt to our mobility needs, which are somewhat limiting. As a college professor I give him an A+.

Excellent Tour of Athens

Our tour guide Panos was friendly, informative and very accommodating. We were his first tour ever and he did a fantastic job. If you are lucky enough to have him as your driver you will be very happy indeed!

Amazing picture of Greek History and Culture

Manos and his protege Panos gave us an amazing day of the history and culture of Greece. They were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our day with them.

George was our driver and our day in Athens was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and respectable. Our lunch was a typical Greek meal and we got our baklava and coffee at a home style bakery. Yum!!!

Manos was awesome

We loved the tour and our driver. Highly recommend. Add the tour guide to the trip. The driver is amazing and knowledgeable but he can’t go in the sites.

Our driver was exceptionally wonderful and knowledgeable. We had a beautiful, relaxing six hour private tour with him. We cannot praise him enough for giving us such a memorable experience!

Efficient and very informative. Saw all the best sites in an organized, orderly way. Adonis was wonderful host. Very comfortable ride. The lunch stop was good, authentic , Greek lunch food.

Well worth the $ for this tour!

Well worth the $ for this tour! We flew into Athens a day early for our cruise, and booked a night at the King George hotel. Because of this, cruise line would not provide transport to the ship from our hotel. This tour picked us up at our hotel and allowed us a day of exploration and fun, before being dropped us off at the cruise terminal. AWESOME!

Amazing Day in Athens!

Amazing day with our very knowledgeable and professional tour guide/driver Alex. He picked us up promptly at our hotel and discussed options for the day based on our personal preferences. As this was our first visit to Athens, we relied on Alex to recommend the highlights. Off we went with much information provided during our drive to each location. While Alex did not enter the sites with us, he was very clear telling us where to go, what to see, how to contact him and where to meet again. We scheduled a lunch break during our tour (our expense) and enjoyed a most delicious and authentic meal of Greek favorites. He delivered us back to our hotel with suggestions for the next day on our own. Highly recommend experiencing Athens with Alex. Accompanying us with Alex was George, very happy to meet you both. Thank you Alex and George!

Great Day In Athens

We had a wonderful day exploring Athens with Olive Sea Travel. Our ship arrived and our guide ( who was great) met us at the pier and off we went. It was great having a private tour for just our family instead of being on a bus with 50 people and we paid less than a ships bus excursion. We had sufficient time at all the major sites and having lunch at a seaside cafe after the tour was the cherry on top!

Vasili was great and provided a fantastic overview of the city. I learned several things I didn’t know before and gained a much better perspective for the city

The best way to visit Athens

This tour was amazing. Our driver Evangelos picked us up at the port in advance. Then we started our visit with the Acropolis. We were there early enought to avoid the big crowds. The driver is not allowed to come with us on the archeological sites but it was not needed. He provided us all our tickets so we were able to avoid the queues. He provided us all the informations that we needed prior to drop us off to each site. He was very knowledgeable. We were always getting on a new site before the crowds. We finished our journey in plaka with a lunch in a perfect greek tavern recommended by Evangelos.

Great tour of the city

This was a wonderful tour of Athens seeing all the high points in a few hours. Yannis was a great source of information and took us to every spot we wanted to see. He was very informative and, although he didn't accompany us, gave us alot of info and details on what we were seeing or about to see.

All Around Athens

Our guide, Sokratis, did an excellent job of ferrying us around the different sights of ancient and modern Athens! We truly appreciated being able to buy skip the line tickets directly from him, making access to the Acropolis, the Agora, and the National Archeological Museum so easy. The private van was clean, comfortable, and filled with cool water. Two thumbs up!

Jimmy was the best! Courteous and kind. Shared so much about Athens and introduced us to a wonderful meal at a local restaurant outside of the tourist area. Thank you Jimmy!

Wonderful tour!

A great way to see Athens. Our driver, Giannis, was so knowledgeable about the city and was very personable, he made us so comfortable. He also recommended a great restaurant. The Acropolis was amazing. Especially enjoyed the drive to an area that gave us a spectacular view of Athens, great place to take photos.

Our driver was extremely informative and paid extra attention to my parents. He gave us good suggestions for meals and even late night Gelato place near our hotel.

Try a different tour.

Felt like the tour was more of a ride around to the sites. Not much information was given ...at one stop we were suppose to see 3 sites but only had time for one. Tour guide was super nice and accommodating. The tour itself was not what I expected and not worth what we paid.

AMAZING driver made tour even more enjoyable!

Petrol did a fantastic job! It's all about the driver and their personality! We had a great one! He was so accommodating and friendly and an amazing history buff, so knowledgable! The sites were obviously incredible, some dating back to 4000 BC. But they are all ruins so at some point, they all start to look the same. The majority of these places have no trees and thus, no shade. Wear a hat or take an umbrella and you must have water. You will be parched by the end. This is a must-do for first time Athens visitors. And this is a great option for a quick tour. Ask for Petrol!

Best Tour EVER

We took this tour with the guide, I must say our driver and guide were first class. Kostas, our driver, was amazing with making sure we got exactly what we wanted and needed and was always anticipating what we needed next. If we needed a water he was there before I could say anything. Eva, our guided has spoiled us for any other tour. She explained everything and had dates and facts for any question we had. I would recommend a guide, especially Eva for any tour. My family has 2 teenage boys and she got them so into the history and the entire tour for the entire day. They have been talking about how great the tour was and how it was one of their best memories. Really, how she got them into it was magic. A day none of us will forget. I RARELY write reviews, but this tour with Eva and Kostas was worth every penny and I would recommend to anyone. 20 out of 10!

This was the best tour I’ve ever taken. I’d give 10 stars if I could. Helen was the best tour guide we’ve ever had. Her knowledge and education were second to none.

Best tour you can have of Athens

Best tour of Athens ever! Take my advice and hire the guide too. We had Helen I cannot say enough nice things about her and our driver Vailias. Helen was so knowledgeable and pleasant. Very aware of her customers ages and abilities. We learned so much about history of Athens. She is a wealth of information and able to answer any questions we had. Our driver was very safe in some crazy traffic. You can’t go wrong with this tour. Thank you both for the amazing day. We loved it!

Great Day with Helen and Fotis

We did a private tour with Helen (guide) and Fotis (driver) during a cruise stop. We loved that the tour was customized to what we wanted to see and do, with as much or as a little time at each venue. The history provided with our sights by Helen was very helpful, as well as some photos that she had. The authentic Greek lunch was a special bonus, and we really enjoyed the restaurant they selected. We were a diverse group of 5 travelers and we all enjoyed it!

Amazing day in Athens

Dem was our driver and was an amazing guide to Athens. We loved the private trip vs a crowded tour bus. We saw all the sights and even had time for a coffee along the pier. We would recommend both Dem and the tour company.

Awesome

Sensational day - Panos was brilliant ! Had a great traditional Greek lunch 10 courses including wine and beer so yummy and fresh and only 10 Euro. Panos took us to all the great places, organised tickets for my kids went well and beyond and before dropping us back to ship shouted us a sensational coffee from his favourite coffee shop- Amazing ! Such a wonderful day - thank you Panos you are a legend!

Amazing Driver for 2.5 Day our of Athens

Vasillis was an amazing driver - vehicle was great, driving was safe, he got us waters after long outdoor stints, etc. But more importantly he added to our tour experience. He did a great job of entertaining our boys and added color and commentary to our tour guide (Helen - who was also great). He gave us several great recommendations on our last day together for the remainder of our trip in Greece
