2 nights Nile cruise includes tours from Aswan to luxor

Great experience on the Nile I would definitely recommend!

We had a very good time during the Nile cruise! The service was quick and friendly, the days trips were offered in small groups and different languages, the sunsets from the view deck were amazing, the buffet was good (salads, main dishes, soups) and everything was always on time. Our guide Ahmed was very considerate and answered all of our questions. He is really an expert in egyptian history! There only thing to be “criticized” was that the card for the room door didn’t work properly, I think the door had a lose connection… All in all a great experience, especially if you want to see many things/temples in a short time.

Excellent trip - well organised

A great way to see a lot of sites in a short period. Our guide Ahmed was excellent. Really informative and got us around efficiently without missing anything. Really well organised and would recommend.

Quick way to cover all the key spots

Tour guide was exceptional. Got to cover most of the key places within three days. The food was bit bland and not too tasty. The rooms were not done up since the 1990s and the towels were dirty. Overall the exposure and the experience is great.

Spectacular

The best part of the cruise was the guided tours. Owf Naggar is an amazing tour guide. His attention to detail is exceptional. He has amazing knowledge of ancient and current history. You will not be disappointed with him as a tour guide .

a very good trip with a great guide

We did the shortest cruise owing to time constraints, arriving Aswan by overnight train from Cairo on Tuesday, and cruising until Thursday. It was a fabulous way to see the Nile and the key pharaonic sites, if a little mass produced. We were lucky our cruise boat was good - if a bit shabby looking. The twin room was great, the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and most of all our tour guide Mohammed Shakour was fabulous: he was ahead of the game about how to approach the sites to optimise the visit (ie being ahead of the queue early morning), and he lead us into world of Egyptian pharaohs and gods magnificently, as we stood in 40 degrees looking at the sites. A good guide makes the hieroglyphs and the world in which they were written come alive. What would have helped - and I did ask Viator before hand but received no reply - is to know the exact itinerary (as they print it on the boat) a few days beforehand so you have a chance to prepare for the trip more and know what you will be doing and how the site visits are organised. There are many many cruise boats mooring beside you, and we felt lucky to have a good guide and a reasonable boat to make it work well. Viator should allow you to choose the company organising the trip so the guests can be in direct contact with that company from the start, and look at the reviews for that specific company. Ours was Cupid EgypTravel and they did a good job, contacting us by WhatsApp just before the trip. But being able to contact them directly at the time of booking would have been useful. Viator is just the gateway.

Cruise exceeded all my expections. Amazing, awesome experience.

More than met my expectations, the cruise was amazing. Big modern and very comfortable room. Meals were amazing, especially the sweets. All the staff went out of their to make the cruise enjoyable. My guide Ahmed was always on hand to arrange things, setting up meeting times and places, and advising of the days itinery. Never had to worry about anything, Ahmed was always in control of events .It could be a bit chaotic when leaving the boat for tours, but Ahmed always managed to keep it simple. Then had his knowledge to share when visiting the temples. Pick up and drop off to hotels was included.

The Nile cruise exceeded my expections. The room was modern and very comfortable. The meals were outstanding. All the cruise staff went out of their way to make the cruise awesome. Ahmed my guide, was great to have along. Organised everything so well. Gave daily updates on what was happening, and what stops for tours. Always kept me upto date. Times to be ready and where to meet. Then had his knowledge for the temple tours.

Amazing experience

I was a bit anxious about this tour because we didn't get the name of the ship beforehand and the reviews are mixed. We were on the Sapphire and it was fine. Outdated, but clean and very friendly staff. The food was surprisingly good. We spent three days with the same guide, Mohamed, and he took great care of us. The sights are amazing. The only thing I don't understand is the horse and carriage ride to Edfu. In my opinion that shouldn't be the default option, those poor animals.

Bring way more cash than you ever thought you might need

I’m definitely going to be honest here because I read the reviews myself before deciding to book this trip. The ship was definitely less than desirable. Most things in my room did not work so don’t expect much. The hairdryer didn’t work and was taped together. The fridge had mildew in it and did not work. I struggled to get any sleep at all due to the super thin walls, and the windows rattled the entire time. I might’ve gotten three hours sleep in one night at best. The food was average at best. The tours were very very rushed, and I can’t even explain how unorganized everything was. The tour said to plan on a certain amount of US dollars but trust me I needed three times that just for entry fees. If I was to make one recommendation, the entry fees should’ve been included. The tour guide was always willing to take us to ATM because we always needed more money. The tipping is insane. Everyone And every horse carriage driver, everything everyone wanted to tip in the tour guide made us feel guilty if we didn’t tip. I felt like I was constantly dishing out money and cash. No one wanted credit cards of course, for the entry fees. The tour guide again made us feel awkward if we didn’t have the cash to give him so that we as a group didn’t need to stay in lines or wait for others. It’s a great way to see a lot fast, but if you have a problem with waking up at three or four in the morning to start your day and being gone for 12 to 14 hours and this is not your trip.

Ahmed has also been a professional with all matters related with the whole trip in all senses in every moment allowing us three relaxing days Furthermore, very kind and 😀smiley.

The boat itself is good....

The boat itself is good. The room is nice, the food is good and the staff is friendly. The thing we didn't like (and expected) was the mass-tourism. Obviously we knew a cruise would bring a lot of people at the same spot at the same time, but what we didn't expect was that the boat is part of a parade of cruise ships (about 25-30 ships) that all dock at the same ports/sights. That was a little bit too much. However the tours and our guide were great, so it still scores a 4/5.

Amazing Nile Cruise

Ahmed was my tour guide and he really knows his stuff. I was impressed with the amount of detail provided on each site visit. The cruise itself was absolutely breathtaking. The rooms are very nice and modern. I especially loved the shower! When I had some food that made me ill, Ahmed showed up immediately with meds to help me get back to normal. This cruise was phenomenal! I would absolutely book this trip again.

The best way to visit the most in Egypt

The sites around Egypt are spread out, in different small towns along the Nile. The cruise is the BEST way to do a trip through Egypt (spend a night or 2 in Cairo as well). - sites: you see some incredible sites! All the sites were incredible, and if you do it with a guide, they arrange the individual taxis/transportation to get to each site once the boat docks. I didn't go to Abu Simbel, but to me, a temple is a temple after a while, and it's a far drive. - tour guide: this is the most important. You gotta do it with Mohammed Shakour. I read about him in some other reviews, and I'm glad I got him as my tour guide. Incredibly knowledgeable. Yeah, many tour guides are, but you can really see Mohammed's passion for his country and history, and he'll give you more information/answer your questions if you want (more than the other tour guides around me). He's also someone you can TRUST. In this country, I've had other tour guides who literally work with camel scammers, and they pressure their own clients into these traps. Mohammed is an honest guy with taxi prices, tourist advice. And he's got a great pace when touring the sites. Detailed, but manages to finish the sites with plenty of time for us to still enjoy before getting back to the boat. - the boat: it's "5 stars" Egyptian standard (not American standard) but it's not as bad as some reviews say. Comfortable and clean beds. AC doesn't always work, but it works enough. Clean showers. A nice sun deck. The food is hot and tasty. It does the job!

Best way to visit Egyptian sites w Mohammed Shakour

Truly the best way to see Egypt's incredible sites, and I think the best cruise option. My mom and I are frequent backpackers through different countries around the world, and I loved this cruise because: (1) pacing. You get to see SO many places. Stunned that the description on Viator actually undersells the package when you get the tours included. Philae island, Komumbo, Edfu, Luxor temple, Karnak temple, and Valley of the Kings. For my mom and I, this was the right balance - we want to see the main sites but don't need to see every single one. Visiting all of these sites in 3 days can be tiring at points, but at the same time, my mom and I didn't want to be on the boat for much longer (food starts to get the same, temples start blending together, diminishing returns). (2) our guide Mohammed Shakour was FANTASTIC, and I believe made the experience the best. He's got all the traits you would expect from a good tour guide: good English, friendly w us, knowledgeable in the history and facts. Shakour separates himself from other tour guides in that he loves to share his knowledge more than any other tour guide. At some temples, he would take us to parts that I noticed other guides were not taking them, and he was explaining individual hieroglyphics and Egyptian stories also unlike other tour guides I saw there. His knowledge base is expansive and he is enthusiastic to share. He also rearranged part of our itinerary to help my mom and I. He was also very honest when it came to tourist advice (ie. I would ask him about where to buy certain souvenirs, who to avoid, never putting pressure on us to buy things in the shops that the tours are sorta required to take you to). If i did a tour through Egypt again, i would ask for Mohammed Shakour again. (3) the boat is nice enough. It's not an American 5 star boat. But the accommodations have the necessities - clean bathroom, comfortable bed, refrigerator. The food I found simple but tasty. DO bring your own water. I brought ~9 liters of water onto the boat which lasted my mom and I for the entire trip. They sell water on the boat but it's rather expensive. (4) finally, I'll say going from Aswan to Luxor was great. Since you're going w the Nile River current, i thought the boat was very smooth. Also, i think the sites get better from Aswan towards Luxor (this, the excitement builds each day)

Breathtaking trip

This trip just kept blowing my mind each moment. The cruise itself was great - comfortable room, delicious food, and very friendly and helpful staff - but the outings with our guide Mohamed were phenomenal. We didn't have to think about a single detail and still got to see almost every major sight in Aswan and Luxor. This trip was a once in a lifetime experience thanks to Mohamed.

An Egyptian must-do

Very comfortable cabins with attentive staff and well organised tours. Loved the balloon ride over Valley of the Kings and relaxing by the pool as we sailed down the Nile.

My friend and I book this 2 Night Nile river cruise from Aswan to Luxor. We had a great time! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The boat was well maintained and comfortable. We are from the US..we often are spoiled with great cruise ships so you cant compare apples and oranges. Some people expect 5 stars as US standards, that's not the case here..but it is 5 stars for Egypt standards. For what we paid and for what was included:food, tours, room and board it was a fantastic deal for the accommodation we got. We were really happy with our arrangement and time on this Nile Cruise and would do it again. This is a good transport hub if you're going to Luxor or vice versa to Aswan. You'll probably pay the same hiring a private car to take you there...why not do it on this cruise where you're pampered with a nice cabin, spectacular views, and 3 meals a day? The food is really good and has great variety. It's a win win! This company made everything very easy..from communication to after the cruise to ensure we were having a great time and if we needed assistance for after the cruise activities. Don't waste your time & money!!

Communication is terrible with this company. No one informed me that I would have a guide so I booked my own. Wasted money. The rep tried to make it right by offering me a free boat ride ...well he never responded to confirm that ! So I wasn't able to go. The ship docks early for one of the temples. They don't inform you that if you don't leave early you will miss it because it's a 30 min horse ride away. The staff was very friendly. This tour was a waste of $400+

Definitely not 5 star

We booked this tour based on the reviews, photos and the fact that this is a TripAdvisor company. We were extremely disappointed. Our guide Mohammed was excellent, hence the 2 stars, but that is where it ends. If it wasn't for him we would have jumped ship on day 1. Our boat, The Lady Mary, was anything but 'luxury'. It is stated as 5 star and it most certainly is not. The cabins are a good size, but they are old. The bedding had been used way too many times and the sheets were pilly. The doona is not a doona or a blanket. I think it was some kind of foam. The bed was old and saggy. The pillows lumpy. The bathroom was tiny with a triangular shaped shower in the corner. I do not know how half the people on the boat even fit into it. There are no amenities except for a liquid soap dispenser on the wall. No one ever mentioned you need to provide your own shampoo. The 'air-conditioning' was not air-conditioning. After enquiring as to why we were just getting very cold air regardless of what setting we used, we were told it does not produce cool air or warm air, it simply blows in air from outside, which in March is very cold, especially at night. I would hate to be in that claustrophobic box in summer! The photos we saw showed cabins with Juliette balconies or windows that opened. This was not the case. Our window was solid, it did not open. When you were not sailing, which is a lot of the time, the boat docks side be side with other boats. They line up like dominoes and connect and you have to walk through each one to get off. Sometimes they were 5 boats deep. What this means is your window is right up against the window of the cabin on the boat next to you. Like you are standing in someone else's cabin and they in yours. There is no light and definitely no view. On the second night, when we were docked between two other boats, our cabin kept rattling and vibrating really loudly. It was extremely annoying and difficult to sleep. There is a small television that does not actually work (nor did the telephone) so you will need your own entertainment or you are just sitting there in silence the whole time. We listened to music on an iphone. Most (not all) staff wore masks much of the time, but none of the passengers did. My husband and I wore them constantly and people looked at us like we were crazy. This was a small, enclosed space with a lot of people but despite the signs, nobody enforced any kind of mask wearing. There were some hand sanitisers on the wall, but when I tried to use one, it broke off the wall. Social distancing was certainly not enforced and it was very crowded during meal times, and nobody ever checked our temperature. These things were supposed to happen according to the information we were given. I will say there was more than enough food and the staff in the restaurant, where there is always a buffet (covid safe??) were very friendly. It was not necessarily to my liking, but I guess that is a personal thing. What there was, there was plenty of. But drinks are not included, and that includes water, which is 10 times what you can buy it for off the boat. Then there are acholic drinks on a drink menu, but they do not actually have them, so be prepared to stick to extremely expensive wine and beer. The things you see on the land tours are amazing, but they belong to Egypt, not the Nile cruise and you can access them from anywhere. Many of the tours happen either very early in the morning or at dusk, which is a bit annoying. Entrance fees and tipping (which there is a lot of) are not included, and this is stated, but it would be good to know ahead of time how much all of these cost because they certainly add up and it would be good to be able to plan for them. Even the pick-up time on the first day was not as stated. We had been given an choice for pick-up, only to be told the night before that pick-up would be 4 hours earlier unless we wanted to miss the entire first day's sights. This is not at all my idea of a 5 star Nile cruise. If I were to do this again I would fork out the money to go on a better cruise.

Amazing guide, bit rushed through Luxor

Highly recommend this tour with Ahmed who did an amazing job as a guide! You get to see plenty of sites with detailed information, have good food on the boat and some time to relax on the sun deck in between the visits. Be prepared to get up very early at least one of the days, and some visits can be quite rushed (we kinda ran through Karnak and Luxor temple)! Over all a real well organized tour, reliable and flexible in adding experiences such as a hot air balloon ride in Luxor. Tour price excludes entrance fees (approx. $100 pp), drinks (on the pricey side) and tips.

Nile cruise

Well planned by Viator and including a very good guide (Ahmed), the trip delivered everything promised. The food on the boat was good and very hygienic.. (as well as abundant). If I rate the trip at only 3 stars it is because we are indépendant travellers and this type of excursion is not our style. On the upside we loved the cruising. On the downside, sleeping in a boat parking dock (motors idling and a tad smelly) was not to our liking.

Fantastic trip and great tour guide

We had a fantastic time on the Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor - the views from the sun deck on the Lady Mary were stunning! The staff were exceptional and the rooms were comfortable and clean. A wide variety of food was available during meal times and drinks were available at an extra charge. A tour guide was included on the cruise and we visited a number of Ancient Egyptian sights. Our tour guide Mohamed Wafa was very knowledgeable, offered excellent hospitality, and made the experience very smooth. Be aware that entry fees to the various ancient sites are not included and do mount up. We thoroughly recommend the hot air balloon ride which can be easily arranged through the tour guide!

Our trip of a lifetime

My expectations were exceeded by this Nile cruise. The ship was indeed 5 stars- the accommodations were very nice, comfortable and clean. The staff was very welcoming and the food was really good. The only thing that wasn’t included were the entrance fees to the Temples. Our guide, Ismael was by far the best tour guide we had throughout our entire Egypt trip. He is very knowledgeable and made our vacation an enriching and pleasurable experience. Thanks Daddy!

Great experience

Was a great experience, I felt like I was on a 5 star cruise even though it was very cheap and affordable. I also have to mention our Tour Guide Ahmed, he was very informative, kind and answered any of our question in the temples, a great guy in general.

What a delightful way to...

What a delightful way to experience Aswan and Luxor. The riverboat, Beau Rivage II, is nice and clean although it needed an upgrade. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The guide, Ahmed, made sure that all my requests were met. His knowledge of the ancient sites were very detailed and he saw to it that we remembered a lot of the info and stories he told us about ancient Egyptians. He also gave me a lot of suggestions for the next part of my trip in Luxor. Overall, I'm a very satisfied customer and will gladly recommend this cruise and tour.

So much fun

If you only have a short amount of time in egypt then I recommend this is the tour to go on! Ahmed Elsayed is a very knowledgeable Tour Guide and Egyptologist an answered our questions that we all had. He is very good and highlights key points so it was easy to understand and remember and whenever we needed some thing he helped us get it. I would go on the tour again only if I can get Ahmed as a tour guide. The temples were beautiful to look at and the cruise was amazing! Much better than I expected or anticipated. This was a jampacked schedule but there was still time for relaxation.

Ramzy best Egyptologist

This was a great overall experience. We were able to see multiple key sites and travel up the Nile river. Our Guide, Ramzy, was excellent. He was very knowledge about the history and Egypt in general. He always made sure we were taken care of such as picking us at the airport and answering all our questions.

Local Luxor

Forget Giza. The real sights are in Upper Egypt. The boat is well furnished and the food is excellent. My guide (Hany Soliman) was a lifetime local who can even point out his family home from the Luxor temple. He draws out explainations on the stone floor with a near by pebble and will point out an ancient calendar, a room with perfume recipies, and even a dentist prescription along the temple walls. He also will give you free time at the end of the tour to take pics or be alone with the statues and is open to a change of plans if you have a specific site in mind.

Nile Cruise

Mohammed Albasha was our tour guide and he was fantastic! He was well informed & even helped me when I was sick getting something to help with my stomach. The cruise was nice, but we were surprised that water was not included in the price & it did not say anywhere.

Nile trip

Best value in all of Egypt and great way to spend a few days relaxing from the chaos. Seeing the temples of Sobek and Horace a definite bonus. Our Guide Ramzy was outstanding and made The trip for us that much more Special. The boat staff and food was also great. Absolutely recommend

Exceptional Tour by an Exceptional Guide

Ramzy was amazing! He worked diligently on our behalf. I have been to 54 countries and 50 US States. He is at the very top of guides. I had an issue with one of the vendors. Ramzy resolved the issue immediately with grace. In addition his knowledge of history was insightful and helpful. He made the stories come to life. Also he is a great guy with a smile that is contagious, family man and a gentleman. Interestingly enough I have very high standards as as business owner. I would hire him for my business!

Short but excellent Nile cruise

I haven't had so much time, that's why I chose only a short cruise. The ship was a bit old but still nice. Food onboard was amazing and the staff so friendly, always smiling. There was also entertainment in the evening, with local music. I am glad I made this experience in Egypt!

Honest Opinion

To get right into the meat and potatoes, the cruise was fantastic. I booked last minute not knowing what to expect. My guide for the first day picked me up at the airport at 8:30am. Toured high dam, Philae and a spice shop before heading to the boat. Upon arriving to the boat I was greeted by Ramsey, my tour guide for the next 3 days. He was able to add me to the Hot Air Balloon ride in Luxor for Friday morning ($90USD). Lunch was served and in the evening we visited Kom Ombo temple followed by dinner which consisted of koushary and assorted Egyptian delicacies. Next day we had visited Esna Temple, Luxor temple and Karnak. On the last day we had the hot air balloon ride at sunrise which I highly recommend. After checkout we continued our tour to the valley of the kings and Hatshepsut temple. Things to consider: entrance fees are not included so have at least 1500 Egyptian Pounds on you ($150USD) for tips, entrance fees and souvenirs. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions, Ramsey does an amazing job explaining the history and involving you with the tour. Great value, rooms are clean, staff is friendly and great for self travelers or in a group.

Nice trip over the beautiful nile River. Amazing scenery and temples. Our guide Mona was great covering all the amazing temples with knowledge and a lot of smiles. Highly recommended 👍🏼👍🏼

Average experience

positives first..... We left the cruise with mixed emotions. The tour guide Mr. Ramsey ( sorry not sure of spelling) was extremely pleasant and good. Although he didnt really solve our issues but he always provided a listening ear. He gave us good information on the sights we visited. Now to the negatives, the booking process does not give you a clear view of the kind of cruise ship your booking into. So when we landed on the ship we were quite shocked to begin with. Moreover a couple of days before the start of our trip we were told to increase the stay by a night because of sailing date issues for which we have to pay extra too!!!!. Given that one is trying to wind up work before a 10 day tour we were forced to agree to their suggestions. A bit annoying when you have finalised your itinerary months before the holidays. well long story short.... we heard from another co - passenger too that he was talked into increasing his one night stay to 2 nights...........interesting...... Once on board there was no way we were going to stay the extra night especially with a 6 year child. At this point we were truly relieved that Viator cooperated with us and did not haggle. The reception on the Nile Admiral ship is below average All in all I would not recommend the Nile cruise.
