Amritsar Wagah Border Flag Ceremony.

An incredible spectacle!

This is an amazing event and if you are staying in Amritsar well worth a visit, even though it's a fair distance outside the city. The Indian and Pakistan troops march on their own sides of the border. I was on the Indian side and the troops really whipped the crowd up into a frenzy of flag waving and cheering! It's very noisy and colourful and lasts about 30 mins. There are special seats for foreigners and VIPs. Foreigners will need their passports.

We visited Attari Border with Ravish. He was very cooperative and helpful. He had done the booking in advance which saved us a lot of time. He also made sure we got good seats. Visit to Pul kanjari was also a good experience.

Great experience, destinations, tour guide

Our guide was Shamsher Singh, who was fantastic. He made the trip very easy and informative. We were collected from our hotel near the airport and returned in a timely manner. Attending the Wagah border was an amazing experience and will be a memory I do not forget! Shamsher was able to switch between English and Panjabi which was very helpful for me (who is mainly an English speaker) and my Grandmother (who is a Panjabi speaker). We were able to take many photos on the way and at the border - we had an easy time getting in. Would 100% recommend.

An Amazing Experience at the Border.

Our guide's name was Ravish. He was an excellent guide who told my wife and I about the area, about Amritsar and about the Wagah Border flag ceremony. On the way, he also gave advice on seating and what to look for. My advise is to seat as close to the front as possible and as close to the border gates as possible and to avoid the concrete pillars of the stadium. The Wagah border flag ceremony is a worthwhile experience that is not to be missed. The pomp and pageantry is fabulous!

Excellent guide and unique experience

This was a great trip. Ravish was a great guide and excellent company. He's very knowledgeable and was happy to talk about a range of things while we were driving to the border. The ceremony itself is well worth a visit, a very unique experience I would say. I'm very happy to have gone and would recommend this tour to everyone!

Best Tour Guide for Border Ceremony

Our tour guide Ravish was excellent.. Pointed out things on route.. Took us to a Barrista coffee shop.. When we arrived at the border, he escorted us to the farest point that he could go.. Explained at what point in the ceremony was best to start to leave before the crowds.. Was waiting for us when we came out.. EXCELLENT guide.. Would recommend.. Very knowledgeable.. Really helpful guide

Amrik Singh is a fantastic guide! He is really helpful and knowledgeable. I truly recommend using this tour than taking taxis, because he told us very important tips of visiting the ceremony. The car was very clean too.

A memorable experience

It was a memorable experience for me to visit the India-Pakistan Atari Wagah border to witness the beating retreat parade. The travel to and back and the entry into the pavilion was quite easy and smooth, thanks to my guide Mr Rakesh Mehra and his tips. The atmosphere there was charged and the crowds on both sides enthusiastic; it was a humbling experience to see ordinary citizens on both sides cheering their flags and countries. If you wish to make this trip, I would strongly recommend this tour agency and guide.

Great trip

Provided a great trip. Car was on time and made it to the border in good time. Also provided great advice on entry and leaving, and helped me secure the foreigner seating. Great visit! Would definitely recommend his service.

Hugely overpriced and very poor value for money

While the guide and driver were both very good and did their best to make it a good experience, the trip is hugely over priced. They’re charging more than 3000₹ per person . So we actually paid more than 9000₹ for 3 persons. Since the Waga border event itself is free we basically paid this amount for transportation. If we had hired a car on our own for the 3 of us, we’d have paid a max of ₹3000 . We definitely felt like we have been completely cheated

Very good tour experience

Very friendly and helpful guide. Very clear communication. Everything was very straightforward and easy to transact. Guide offered to take us to a restaurant and wait for us to finish and then drop to our hotel, even though it was not part of our package. Though we had to rush to the hotel, I believe it was a Sweet gesture from Ravish, the tour guide. Will recommend to anyone.

This is the way

Amrik was considerate, respectful, knowledgeable and saw the day trip through even after the ceremony with the difficult return traffic to hotel due to major holiday. He even had a calm but still effective driving style I had yet to see in this country.

Our guide Ravish was excellent he new everything about the Amritsar area and the border. Highly recommended you go to the border its an amazing experience we had the best seats as we got to the border early. Take some shade hats sunglasses if you go in the summer.

It is a once in a lifetime experience, every indian should see that. Guide Ravish was with us throughout wagah border ceremony tour, and was very knowledgeable, humble and took care of us so nicely. He was very patient and explained to us everything about ceremony ,Punjabi culture and people, which was very enlightening. He made us in the right spot of the stadium from where we are able to see the best view.

Professional and best travel companion.

Great experience and travel companionshio with my guide ravish ,he was way too professional and forecast everything while we were on tour such as the crowd , best place to park the car or best place to sit for the tourists . It was nice to witness a parade there in the evening. I'm sure it will activate your goosebumps. During the parade, both entrance gates were left open for an hour as scouts from the two nations teased one another and the crowd competed to shout louder against the adjoining nation. The BSF officers have good manners and are helpful to senior folks and women.

Hum hai Hindustani! Change of guard is worth experiencing the culture the atmosphere is so electric. It charges one and. Must visit once in a lifetime.

Fantastic arrangement by Ravish.We really enjoyed the event at wagah border. The stories explained by guide was really interesting and on an hour drive to border we were filled with giggles and laughter by the guide. The Border Ceramony.

One of the best sights to see. We were at tye closing of the Border gates Ceramony. This was amazing, the Border security force of India & Pakistan try to outdo each other with marching, high kicking & saluting ,dont miss this event if you visit Amrista.

The Wagah Border is an incredible and beautiful experience that no one should miss on their trip to Amrista. Far better than watching on YouTube

Watching this on YouTube does not do justice to the experience. It was a week day so the stadium was not full but WOW!!!!!!!! what an experience to be there in person and see the two sides in action with the lowering of their respective flags at 6.30pm. You get caught up in the atmosphere and the two sides trying to out chant each other...... A fun and entertaining, but very patriotic for both sides, event. And for me the touching part, that you have to watch for carefully right at the end, just before the gates are shut - the two officers shaking hands - there is hope for peace........ Well worth the drive to the border. One of my friends had not been there for 20 years and said it was so different and he was amazed what the ceremony had become.

Professional government guide...

Mr. Ravish is an amazing guide. He possesses a deep knowledge of the history of Punjab and Amritsar History. He is a professional government guide you would see in Amritsar. Calm and patient personality. Pretty punctual. He starts the tour by 2PM to avoid Traffic jam , The way he has prepared the itinerary for half day tour of Amritsar Wagah Border makes me intrigued to research more about Punjab.

Every Tourist should go there at least once. At this location, the energy was palpable. You will be proud to call yourself an Indian. There are no admission fees. You can bring snacks and a water bottle with you. In my case my guide pre-arranged everything snacks , beverages , flags , caps etc. The location was fantastic. I recommended Globe Trek without any second thought.

It is, after all, a boundary that separates India and Pakistan. You can attend closing ceremonies at the Wagah border. There are many people who are overly excited about their countries, whether it is India or Pakistan. We all know where it can be happier, though. However, just a heads up, it's quite busy and noisy. I extend my thanks to Globe Trek to provide a wonderful guide, who helped us escape from long que and made us reach before time to get a best seat and wonderful view of the stadium. This tour company is highly recommended to future visitors in Amritsar .

Presentation spoken only in the local language. Not worth it for foreigners! Far away , a waste of time to see a small military performance . With so much cultural and spiritual richness in Punjab, I don't advise wasting time. For Indians it has a lot of value, but only for them!
