What an amazing experience, I had a wonderful day experiencing all that Amritsar has to offer with Rishi. The tour of the Golden Temple was more than I could image and the retreat ceremony at the Wagah border was sensational. Rishi was an excellent guide I had a great time meeting him and getting his insights on his home town.

Outstanding! I'm Glad We Went

Outstanding! Rishi, our guide, met us (me and my college-age son) at our hotel -- Golden Temple first, including walking through the food preparation and dining areas. Then, walk to Jaillianwala Bagh massacre site. Finally, for part one, to Partition Museum. Rishi engaged and answered questions. Wholly professional. Part two was after a lunch and nap break -- drive with Rishi to Wagah/Attari border crossing flag-lowering ceremony. I have seen YouTube videos, but wow, the real thing is an experience not to be missed. I'm glad we went.

We had a private tour with our Amritsar Guide, Rishi. The tour bookings, coordination, and planning was nicely done. We had all the information a day before through the App and Email about our Guide, Vehicle, Tour Expectations. Our tour guide Rishi was a local and helped us learn many things about the places we visited, it’s history, cultural aspects, and tips to enjoy and make our experience memorable. Rishi was courteous, polite, friendly, and mingled with our pace very well. We enjoyed our day visiting Golden Temple, Community Kitchen, Jallianwala Bagh, Partition Museum, Lunch at Kulcha Land (one of the best local food experience Rishi suggested), Attari Railway Station, Wagah Border Flag Down Ceremony, and Pul Kanji Sarovar. Great time in Amritsar

We had a nice time with Globe Trek Tours in Amritsar. Our guide, Shamsher was very friendly and personable. He helped organize our transportation and explained the sights each place. We even got to help volunteer in the Langar in the Golden Temple, which was a special experience. The Wagah Border ceremony was fascinating, as well. Highly recommend!

Great Tour

We had booked this tour through Viator and it was the best thing we did. Ravish (our guide) ensured we had the best experience, he of course explained the history behind the places we visited, he took great care of us taking us to the best restaurants, shops and for the first time we all wore a pagdi, the way he guided us through and through was just amazing. We a family of four (including a 6yr old) completely enjoyed the tour. If you are planning for a tour in Amritsar, don’t look further just book them.

Cultural Highlight

Had a really fantastic tour with Ravish - a knowledgeable guide who shows his passion for the beautiful city of Amritsar, its people and its history. The Golden Temple absolutely speaks for itself and was breathtakingly beautiful. Ravish also took you to parts of the complex that visitors wouldn’t normally be able to go to as we toured the communal kitchens as well and got some amazing views of the temple. The Partition museum was very interesting and told the story of the devastating impact of partition on the Punjab. After a short break, we went to the border ceremony - Ravish guided you right to the VIP queue for the border stadium and waited patiently till it ended. Overall, fabulous tour and I was very well looked after from start to finish, with clear communication in the days prior to my arrival in Amritsar.

Memorable trip!

Guided tour was amazing! My guide (shamser) did an awesome job in exprlaining every aspect of golden temple, jalianwala bagh and partition museum. He also took me to wagah border which was a great sight & was able to get me there at right time to see the whole function. Both the guide (shamser) and the driver (paramjeet) were awesome throughout the trip. Both were courteous, kind and accomodative to all the requests. I would highly recommend to hire them if you want to tour amritsar and wagah border.

How to have an unforgettable day in Amritsar!

This trip was memorable in so many good ways. First, to see the Golden Temple, the holiest site for Sikhs, was a gift. The building itself is stunningly beautiful. However, just being there, soaking up the atmosphere, simply watching and listening, made it particularly memorable. Having a chance to see the kitchen in the temple area, which serves hot meals to anyone 24/7 was also fascinating. There is no way I would’ve seen what I did without my guide. Going to the India/Pakistan border ceremony was also a true highlight. Being part of the enthusiastic Indian crowd, the sights and the sounds, is something definitely something to be experienced Finally, what made the day particularly worthwhile was my incredible guide, Rishi. He was informative, kind, and patient, just what you want in a guide. If you are going to Amritsar, I would very highly recommend this tour and guide.

Excellent tour

excellent tour - Ravish, our guide, was super informative and interesting and we covered so much during the day. We saw things we just wouldn’t have been able to find or navigate ourselves and having the explanations at the various sites really helped contextualise what we were seeing. Overall, a brilliant day and would highly recommend this tour.

Great experience, destinations, and Tour Guide

Our guide was Shamsher Singh, who was fantastic. He made the trip very easy and informative. We were collected from our hotel near the airport and returned in a timely manner. Attending the Wagah border was an amazing experience and will be a memory I do not forget! Shamsher was able to switch between English and Panjabi which was very helpful for me (who is mainly an English speaker) and my Grandmother (who is a Panjabi speaker). We were able to take many photos on the way and at the border - we had an easy time getting in. Would 100% recommend.

Golden Temple Amritsar 2 day tour

It was one of the best tours we had the joy to experience with Globe Trek tours & all because of our guide Ravish who made it so seamless & navigated us through this 2 day tour. The border ceremony is a must – see: where else can you watch heavily armed soldiers have a dance-off while a Bollywood flash mob cheers them on? Be sure to bring your passport as a foreigner, as it will help you get the really good seats. Shamsher was a top notch guide, treated me as a friend and not just a customer. Competent and engaging, very smooth experience…even taught me some Punjabi words! Highly recommend.

I travel a fair bit and don’t usually take a guide, but I’m so glad I did. I was on a tight schedule and got to see everything I wanted to and had some experiences that I wouldn’t have otherwise had. Deepak was very knowledgeable and a great companion for the day, he ensured the day went smoothly and went above and beyond to ensure my trip to Amritsar was a good one. We had a wonderful tour with our guide Amrik Singh. He was so knowledgeable, and took great care to explain everything. He showed us all parts of the Golden Temple, even where the langar is prepared, we were able to help roll rotis! Amazing experience in one day city tour

I booked this guided tour that covers most of the places I wanted to visit during my solo trip to Amritsar. The tour itself was fantastic. I could see the pre and post part of langar within the Golden Temple, which is a unique experience. It was an amazing experience at the Wagah border especially on Republic Day. It was over crowded but the guide made sure that we reached on time and departed on time without getting stuck in crowd. Globe Trek Tours operator were very prompt with their response and communication. The tour guide, Amrik Singh is one of the best. He ensures to take care of your comfort, manages the timings and walks you through the history as part of his story telling. Tip: It is an exhausting day trip, so ensure to have enough rest a day prior.

Ajit tour me and my father on a fastastic day tour of Amritsar. As a Sikh he is very proud of his city and his religion and to learn from him was an amazing experience. Terrific tour

I had one day to visit Amritsar, and decided to book this tour as it covered what I wanted to see, which was the Golden Temple and Wagah Border Ceremony. Walking around the Golden Temple was incredible, and I wasn't sure what the border ceremony would be like, but it was full of energy by all in attendance, making it a memorable experience. Amrik Singh was my tour guide and driver, and being a local to Amritsar, he was quite knowledgeable about the city and sites we were seeing. I certainly recommend trying to get Amrik as a tour guide for this tour.

We had an incredible day exploring Amritsar! Ravish was a superb guide and very knowledgeable about Sikhism and the culture and history of the people and city. We learned so much! We also enjoyed the pace of the tour. Ravish went slow enough so that we could enjoy the energy and atmosphere of the places we visited. We spent most of the morning at the golden temple. Then went to Jallianwala Bagh, which was very moving. It was nice to have a few hours to rest in the afternoon before Ravish picked us up to drive to the border for the ceremony. A super tour that I highly recommend.

Great tour to see Amritsar

We had an incredible day on this tour of Amritsar. Ravish was a superb guide. We enjoyed how knowledgeable he was of Sikhism and the culture and history of the city and its people. Amrik Ji is the best!!!

Amrik ji (our tour guide) was literally the best! He is extremely respectful, attentive to detail, and goes above and beyond to provide us the best experience. Everything went smoothly throughout the day. He showed us everything Amritsar has to offer, taught us so much about the culture and history, and treated us like his own family. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We would not have had this experience with any other tour guide or if we decided to see the city on our own. We had multiple tour guides seeing as we traveled to multiple places across India, but he was by far the best.

Truly Fantastic

The tour was truly fantastic, exceeding expectations. Our guide, Mr. Ravish, was exceptionally kind, providing detailed explanations as he guided us through the Golden Temple. The visit to the kitchen was particularly impressive. Despite the dense fog that day, thanks to Mr. Ravish's thoughtfulness, he rearranged the tour sequence, allowing us to clear the mist and finally behold the Golden Temple. We were also ushered to VIP seats at Wagah Border, offering a close-up view of the border security forces' performance. Absolutely recommended!

Ajit is Amazing!

We met our guide Ajit in our hotel lobby. He arrived 15 minutes early which was a great start. He was super friendly with us and the children and communicated in excellent English. The tour of the golden temple was absolutely amazing. He took us to areas which we had been we seen before despite having visited many times. We also had a brief tour of the Jallianwallah Bahg and then we went to the Wagah border which was a fantastic experience. All in all a really good experience.

Amazing Day to spend in Amritsar

Perfect day with Prarit. He was a wonderful guide who taught us so much about Amritsar. The tour started at the Ranjit Singh Statue where you learn some history of the city. You then visit the Jallianwala Bagh followed by an option Lassi drink (I recommend getting a small one, it’s delicious and cheap). The Golden Temple stop is next where you’ll get an amazing behind the scene look at how the Langer makes all the food. Prarit is also great at taking pictures at the best spots. You won’t eat at the Langer, but that’s ok, you should request to go to Kulcha Land to eat some of the best food you’ll have in India. Finally the last stop is the Wagah Border which does not disappoint. It’s an amazing spectacle that, if you bring your foreign passports with you, will allow you some prime seating. At the Wagah there are vendors that will hand you food or drink, it is not free, decline it if you don’t want it.

Must do tour!

1) the guide, Ravish, was exceptionally good. Very knowledgeable and nice. English was very good. 2) the tour itself was great - the Golden Temple was amazing and the guard ceremony was fun. 3) while driving in India is hectic the Ravish did a great job and the food was wonderful.
