The cultural history of Uluru and the geological makeup of this massive natural phenomenon was so interesting. Our guide, Yad, was very nice and informative! Our bus driver, Charlie, was kind and interesting. It was a wonderful, worthwhile day!

Our experience

Worth traveling nearly 1000 km to and fro in a single day from AS to see the iconic Uluru. Fabulous trip and both the guides were good, well informed and humorous. Sunset barbecue and views of the rock was the best part.

The rock lives up to every expectation you have . Guided tour presented cultural insights into the history of the rock you wouldn’t normally discover.

Great and informative tour with a great garbage dinner at aunaet. Tour guide Yam was truly informative. Coach was comfortable for long tract from Alice springs to UlAru.

The guided tour and the experiencing the sunset on Uluru were unforgettable. The barbecue was nice for having a chat with some other participants but not memorable as such.

Very long and very worth it

Staying overnight wasn't an option for me; this was a long, intense day but so worth it. Driver Sam was very friendly, guide Yan (?) was very knowledgeable. It was like hop-on, hop-off at a few spots around Ayer's Rock, so each walk was short and relatively flat. We saw the water hole, aboriginal drawings, kitchen cave...everything. Then we had a cookout with drinks as the sun set. Beautiful! However, one of the best highlights was our stop on the way home to stargaze at the Milky Way. Breathtaking. Definitely worth the money and the time!

Perfect trip!

Yes, the bus ride was long, but it was comfortable, the guides and drivers were great, there was plenty of time to walk around and take pictures, and it ran 100% on time. The sunset at Uluru delivered! Though pictures just don't do "the rock" justice. The site's sacredness, paintings, history, cultural significance, long views of the landscape, and pure texture of the place made it a special and memorable day -- highly recommended!

Yads great Uluṟu experience

Yad took us on an amazing tour, we were so pleased with the experience, what a magical place! He showed us all around Uluṟu and told us the history and culture and interesting Dream Time stories.

This day trip from Alice Springs was so well organised. The communication from our first enquiry all the way through was great. Lovely new coach driven by Charlie, picked us up on the allocated time at our hotel. Charlie didn’t bombard us will information, just the key elements, which was perfect for us. The tour at Uluru was led by Yad, a very knowledgeable certified tour guide. His style of information telling was very gentle and relaxed. The dinner at sunset was very generous with so many choices of food and drinks We would highly recommend Emu Run experience

Uluru trip

Good trip but unfortunately the journey to Uluru was quite long and also the front entry door sensor was faulty emitted a beeping sound half way through the journey.Tour guide was very knowledgeable and the Bus driver very professional.A lot flies around so please get a fly net.

Amazing Uluru

A very comfortable coach ride, through picturesque country, with a world of interesting people onboard, to a destination rich in history and culture…. What better way to spend a day?

Great sites

Sites were great but narration sucked. Ticket price did include Lunch, yet because of the change we did not get any money back.

Long day - worth it

This was an exceptional day, long but brilliant. Travel was comfortable on an air conditioned coach. I would have rated the day a 5, however our guide Dave was having a really bad day and unfortunately he let this affect this attitude toward some of the other guests, who he was very snappy with. It just made everything feel a bit awkward and was just a bit of a downer. I get it, people who are late and don’t listen, or follow instructions are super annoying, but that’s part of the job. To be fair, Dave had experienced a rough night with an attempted break in to his home. Lots of great knowledge shared by Dave though and sunset at Uluṟu really is something I’ll never forget. The included lunch was disgusting, soggy wraps which sat in direct sunlight in the esky with the lid open for 20 minutes before we got to them, however if I’m not mistaken, they are no longer including lunch from April onwards, and believe me this is a good thing. The day trip is a great option if you want to see the sights (Uluṟu, Kata Tjuta, and then back to Uluṟu for sunset BBQ) but don’t necessarily have the time or want to spend the $$$ staying for days.

A Great Experience

A great day seeing and experiencing the phenomenal sites. The day was finished off with a delightful bbq dinner watching The Rock in all its glory at sunset. Yad our tour guide was very knowledgeable and a great guide. Charlie our bus driver from and back to Alice Springs was an excellent driver.

Scenic tour or tour from hell

Uluru was beautiful, with Yad providing an excellent tour of the National Park. He’s hospitality was most welcome following an awful experience with the bus driver Dave. Dave had had a horrible evening before and took his frustrations out on the other travellers even screaming at a woman who asked if she could quickly run to the shop to get a drink. Whilst I really hope Dave is ok, his angry deminor had me questioning if I was actually an extra in the horror film “wolf creek” at times. I’d recommend this trip if you can guarantee you’ll get happy Dave and not angry Dave.

100% satisfaction achieved

My wife and I went on the bus in Alice Springs at 7 am. On the way to Uluru, it was boring as the scenery was the same all the way. Toilet stop was unpleasant due to loads of flies around your face. I regretted choosing the tour. But from lunch time things were getting spectacular, unforgettable and even spiritual. The tour was well organised and BBQ was an excellent experience. The driver Dave was so kind and proud. He made a special trip to our unlisted accommodation at 2 am. These guys are professionals and it is 100% worth our money. Strongly recommend it.

A Must in the Outback!

Fascinating day in every way! Dave, our bus driver from Alice, was the best! Knowledgeable, funny, considerate of his guests-if you can get Dave, you are in for a great day! Well planned/organized. Toilet on the bus was out of order but stops along the way helped the situation. Yad, our tour guide for The Olga’s and Uluru, knew the culture and shared interesting stories as we explored the area. He was completely respectful of the Aboriginal culture. Very hot, very buggy-head nets are a must! Meal at the end at sunset was the perfect ending of a must trip in the Outback.

Overall a good trip

The good - amazing scenery, good food, knowledgeable guides. The bad - the flies (get a face net!), the long drive coming home in the dark, the taste of the water they provided, the range of drink options at dinner

Excellent trip in a comfortable bus with great driver and tour guide. Tour was culturally appropriate. Food and drink during bus trip was great and the sunset BBQ and drinks was fantastic.

Anstrengend, aber lohnenswert

We were on the day tour to Uluru, starting and stopping in Alice Springs. Dave was a very entertaining and careful driver. He provided a lot of information about the Aborigines and was extremely friendly and helpful to everyone. Yad was our local guide and also provided a lot of insight into Aboriginal culture and the history of the country. The BBQ with sunset was the enchanting finale and very well organized. What could be improved: - The lunch food was poor quality. - The time at the Cultural Center was too short. We recommend that participants bring their own water. Overall a great and unforgettable experience.

Great Experience at Uluru!!!

What an amazing day. Dave our coach driver did a wonderful job sharing the culture from Alice Springs to Uluru. The ride is long but we met amazing people on the bus to visit with. Yad was very informative about the rock and aboriginal culture. The bbq at the end of the day to watch the sunset was an added bonus. Great experience!!!

Terrific day spent in Uluru

Although it was a very long day, visiting Uluru was worth every minute. Our bus driver was wonderful taking us to Uluru and back to Alice Springs. Our tour guide and second driver, Yad, was terrific. Gave us the history of the area, all the aboriginal beliefs and teachings. The BBQ ahead of sunset was great. Was a wonderful day.

Drivers were informative and Dave was great fun and talkative. The long drive made you appreciate how large the area is. Plenty of breaks Great views. Barbecue dinner very good

Great day out

Good comfortable coach on the journey up and back with plenty of comfort breaks, with added dad jokes from Dave the driver who was a constant stream of knowledge of the area. On the park driver changed and again was superb at describing the area and the creation stories. Lunch was good and the sunset barbecue was also great

A beautiful piece of art!

I thoroughly enjoyed the day from pick up to drop off. The picturesque views was just spectacular and awe inspiring. Uluru was awesome and a magnificent piece of creation. Lunch was yummy & dinner was superb. A memorable day.

Memorable and enjoyable trip of our lifetime

The trip was outstanding. Dave and Yad were fabulous informative and professional. Dave was professional and knowledgeable about the tour. He explained about Alice Springs. Extraordinary experience

This place is unique in the world. I can not compare to anything. These 2 rocks are something from the other planet. Bbq in the end finished the brilliant day. Yad told us a lot of interesting stories.

An unforgettable experience

A long day but one that was more than worth it. The guides very knowledgeable about those who lived/live near the Uluru. Having a bbq in the middle of the bush at the photo place of Uluru was unreal.. The bbq was very welcomed and delicious with refreshing cold drinks. Over all this is a well oiled machine.

Most memorable experience

It was first sight of Uluru! And of course bbq @ sunset. Firstly, we were totally impressed by the local knowledge and friendliness of both our guides. Also, being vegetarian, wraps we got make lunch were outstanding. We were looked after very well for our dietary needs at evening bbq too by chef Naman. The whole experience was quite memorable

Magical and Interesting

Uluru is a magical place that holds a special place for the indigenous communities that live there. Interesting to hear about the history and our tour guide/bus driver- Frederico was so respectful of the indigenous culture. Long day but worth the 5 1/2 drive back and forth from Alice Springs.

Ultimate Australian Outback

Uluru is an awesome sight as are the Olgas. The red centre is a fantastic setting for these rock formations, and it is all rounded off by the knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide included in this tour.

Excellent trip from start to finish.. The only down side was the shop etc at Uluru was closed on the day we were there…

A taste if local culture

Bus ride from Alice is long and toilet on bus was not operational.........should have been fixed. The long trip would have been better with a video showing some info of the area. Barbeque at end of tour was great. Guide, Yad, was very knowledgeable and did great job. As an Agrologist, I would have liked more Ag knowledge of the soil, climate, ecology, etc of the area.

Terrible

Absolutely terrible 21hrs was too much in one day, no toilet on the bus working, bus over heating, and feeling very unsafe on trip home at that time of night dodging wildlife.

The day was epic, way too...

The day was epic, way too much in one trip. Also an incredibly disturbing experience on the return trip to Alice Springs. Genuinely felt the tour operator was very unprofessional, negligent and put the passengers at risk.

Worst experience of my life

If I could give a negative amount of stars I would. Absolutely worst experience of my life. The bus driver endangered the lives of all on board when he was involved in a physical altercation with a pedestrian, he then deemed himself safe to continue driving even with a clear and visible head wounds (which he refused assessment of by medical professionals onboard). His vision was so badly impacted that he didn’t see multiple cattle on the road and only narrowly avoided hitting them. The entire tour has left our party extremely shaken. The matter has been referred to police, work safe and to the media.

Horror trip

My excitement to experience Uluru and all that surrounds her, has now turned to fear to return and never will it be on a bus!! Our driver at multiple times placed me and others on that bus in direction danger, from leaving the bus in the middle of the highway to physically engage in an altercation with an external party which was witnessed by all those on that bus. The driver's duty of care was to his passengers foremost and failed to ensure safety whilst we were in his care. I would not encourage anyone to partake on this trip in the future!

Fantastic day trip Alice Springs to Uluru and sunset barbecue

What an amazing trip. Fantastic. From the booking through to the pick up at the hotel, the trip and back. Emails were promptly responded to h bearing in mind huge time differences!). Can’t fault anything. I was staying in Alice Springs at one of the hotels which is a designated pickup location. The coach was very comfortable and air conditioned. The driver (Dave) was excellent and he chatted pointing out the flora and fauna the whole way. Plus, interesting information about the indigenous people. We had regular stops, so no need to use the on board toilet! The emu farm … the emus were shy the day we stopped… ie they saw us and then wandered off into the bush! We got to the uluru hotel/campsite where more visitors who were staying joined us, and our driver went off for a well earned rest. A new driver and guide took over. He was excellent. We had three stops around the rock where we walked along paths by the rock. And the guide told us about the significance of the places we stopped at. We were not allowed to take photos at the sacred places but plenty of photo opportunities at the other places. The sunset barbecue was brilliant. Lovely salads, excellent barbecued meats. Ad lib drinks. The sunset was amazing and great photographs were taken. Then the long drive back to Alice Springs when we slept! All in all I thoroughly recommend this trip. Much better to stay in Alice Springs and take this day trip. Not much out at Uluru except this amazing sandstone rock. We were constantly reminded to drink water whilst on the bus and whilst walking. It is hot there! There was water on the bus to top up water bottles. Not ice cold though. I’d taken a walking stick, but it wasn’t necessary as all walks are level and pretty easy. If you use neck supports on long haul flights, take them for the night drive back. I loved the trip. Thank you team for organizing it, and your drivers/guides.

Driver who got into a fight drove with head injuries

The driver was continuing to drive us after getting himself into a physical altercation with a local person, then ignoring ED nurse on board who was worried about his head and eye injuries also the driver did not call for help or notify another driver. He was then yelling at passengers this story has gone to the national media and police were involved

Bus driver negligent

Worse experience of my life!! Bus driver put our lives at risk. There should be two drivers on a bus when travelling such long distances and remoteness.

The driver got into a...

The driver got into a physical fight with another individual which would not have occurred if he had off followed protocol and not got off the bus putting myself and other passenger s in danger. He then continued to drive the bus after being hit to the head during the altercation and not driving in a safe manner in which I was fearful of him possibly crashing. He refused to have his injuries looked at by multiple medical professionals whom had offered. He became abusive to passengers on the bus. I would not recommend this trip to another person. This has gone to national media and the police were involved.

The bus driver left us vulnerable and got into a physical fight

The driver got into a physical fight with a local indigenous young man. Continued to drive with head injuries and put all 33 passengers at risk as he refused to stop driving even after being told not to by multiple medical professionals on board. He was yelling and screaming at passengers, police were notified. This has gone to the media and police are aware of the situation that happened. I really hope this driver never drives a bus again as i was scared for my life.

Our whole bus were put in danger due to our driver stopping in the middle of no where to a stranger, having a physical fight with him and once again putting our lives in danger by attempting to drive with a suspected head injury! I feared for my life on this trip and it has caused ongoing trauma
