Whitsunday Crocodile Safari from Airlie Beach including Lunch

Want to see Crocodiles then definitely do this tour.

A wonderful adventure. Very professionally run. Saw lots of crocs. We were fed very well. Highly recommended to go on this tour.

Crocodile fun

Stu was an amazing tour guide during our fantastic crocodile safari. We got to see many crocs during our 2 hour boat ride down including some larger 3 meter ones and many cute little hatchlings. The bbq lunch was an amazing touch.

Great little safari and BBQ with Damper and Tea

Have done a few Croc tours in my time, and this time was one of the best. Stu and Steve did a great job overall. Stu on the boat trip have lots of info and saw a few big crocs and lots of babies. Steve did the BBQ and it was bloody great. Lots in offer. The wagon tour was just to fill time and maybe some more commentary would have been better. Stu then did the Billy tea and Damper, delicious again!!! Keep an eye out for the security in the toilet . Definitely 1 of a kind system in place! Would recommend this tour for sure.

Great day out

We had a great time on this tour! Our guides Steve and Stu really looked after us all. The BBQ lunch was sensational. We saw plenty of crocs, including two large ones. The tractor tour was fun too. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a well-organised day out and a genuine Aussie experience.

Whitsundays croc safari is a must-do around Whitsundays

Steve great tour ! professionally run. We saw baby crocs , not big ones. Nonetheless, that’s nature and it presents itself at its pace and time. We enjoyed it and recommend it highly

Unfortunately we didn’t...

Unfortunately we didn’t see any big crocodiles because it was mating season so they were on the bottom of the river. I believe they were down there as we saw half a dozen really small crocodiles - 12-24” long. It was a very slow pace and got boring. Had we seen a big crocodile it would have been a different story! Food was good.

Great safari

We were picked up from our hotel and dropped off at the safari, where we spent the morning on a boat searching for crocs. Great experience! Lunch was great, as was the traditionally-made damper and tea. In the afternoon we had a tractor train tour through the surrounding grounds where we saw some great wildlife. Highly recommend!

Awesome!

The crocodile tour for the first part was so much fun and interesting, lunch was even better! The only thing we weren’t as interested in was the plant tour in the afternoon. The three men running it were really nice and knowledgeable.

Great day out watching crocodiles in the wild

The crocodile tour was great! It was a nice break from the beach and gave us the opportunity to see a different side of the area. It was clear that Steve really knows a lot and cares about the area. Unfortunately we weren't lucky enough to see any big crocodiles but we saw loads of small ones. The barbeque was amazing as was the afternoon tea afterwards. Everyone ensured that we were given their full attention and we were very well looked after.

Great experience

Brilliant experience, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and told us a lot about the history of the area! We got to see a few baby crocs in their natural habitat

Great food, more Crocs required.

This would have been a good trip if we seen some larger crocs. Unfortunately to no fault of the tour guide we only seen 3 small baby crocs around 2/3 ft in length due to high tide. The food was definitely great, along with the damper and Billy tea before heading on the tractor tour. The tractor tour was just a time filler to wait for the tide and you get to see ducks, cows and some native birds, I would have definitely preferred more time on the river than the tractor ride provided. They do organise pick up and drop off at your preferred locations which is great however cannot guarantee seeing any crocs due the nature of working with wildlife!

Great experience

It was nice experience. We have not seen any croc though. Not the fault of this company. It was a high tide day and the river was full. So you may have to check the river conditions before book. Country ride was good. Pick up drop off and food was really good. Well organised and happy to recommend

Family fun for everyone.

Family fun for everyone. Well organised by the staff at Crocodile Safari. Transport ro and from venue was quick and easy. Freindly and knowledgeable guides.

Aussie adventure

Great adventure that took us 6 hours. We saw plenty of hatchlings but no grown up crocs as they were hiding under the water. Nevertheless, the journey was pure fun. Thank you!

Great day on the river

The team were outstanding. Professional, knowledgeable and so thoughtful in their food preparation and caring for our needs . Unfortunately we only saw 2 adult crocs in the water and a few baby ones on the bank, but overall a pleasant day . My teens stil enjoyed the experience .

Very nice tour and great educational activity for the kids

Excellent tour, very knowledgeable and engaged team. Nice lunch and snack. Not just a crocodile tour but a flora and fauna tour.

Croc tour

I was really disappointed with the trip. Firstly the driver arrived 20 minutes late and then he forgot people in airlie so we had to go back to collect them. We then went on the boat tour and only saw small crocs. I know this can’t be helped but it was extremely disappointing. The guide was very nice but he did talk for the whole trip about old stories of huge crocs and trees which really didn’t add to seeing no big crocs. The bbq was really nice. The flora and fauna tour was extremely boring and honestly a waste of time. We drove around in a field for an hour and he told us all about the plants and flowers it really was boring. Afterwards we had afternoon tea which was very nice. The trip really isn’t suited for younger people. Honestly considering how nice airlie beach is this is not worth wasting a full day for. It’s also not worth the money I think it’s really overpriced for what you get.

More For Bird Enthusiasts over 5!

Lucky to see one crocodile, and a few babies. The tour guide was a wealth of local flora and fauna knowledge and very entertaining especially when throwing meat to the hawks ( black kites) who were obviously used to the scraps. He was very interesting. A very long hot day made better by the lovely bbq lunch and damper afternoon tea. Not for kids- especially those under 5!!

Best way to see crocodiles up close! 🐊

Very organised and well coordinated tour, Whitsunday Crocodile Safari made every effort to ensure we were able to see crocodiles with commentary about the area and it's flora and fauna. Probably the cleanest outdoor camp site area I've ever seen! I would recommend this tour.

Great day!

We had a great day with the Steve’s and Stuart. They were funny and provided us with lots of information about Crocodiles and everything in the surrounding habitat. The Aussie BBQ was delicious and they catered for my dietary requirements which was appreciated. We didn’t see many big crocs because of the time of year but still lots of little hatchlings to see. My favourite part of the trip was the tractor ride around the wetlands learning about the different aboriginal uses of trees. Would recommend this trip for all ages!

The right way to see crocs

The tour was amazing! The crocs were so beautiful and obviously very comfortable and familiar with the presence of the tour boat on their river. The guides know the bigger ones by name and demonstrate a very cool relationship with these reptiles. Also so cool to try some traditional Aussie damper and tea, like they made way back when! The guides were very knowledgeable and the experience highlighted ethics and the value of environmental conservation so that we can continue to enjoy and benefit from these natural landscapes and amazing animals. No altering of croc behaviour (with food or pestering), very respectful, a truly incredible life moment.

Real Crocodile Experience

There were Crocs! Not a good time for viewing as this is beginning of mating season and they spend more time in the water, but still saw about 10 adults and as many juveniles. The trail ride was a little bogan but was needed to make a day of the excursion. Not a Disneyland type of attraction but good to see crocodiles in their natural environment and learn a little about their habits.

Seen lots of crocs off all sizes, in their natural environment. Got quite close to to some very large ones. We were provided wonderful food and information. I Highly recommend this tour

A wonderful experience

We had an awesome day. Tom and Ian were lovely. The billy tea damper and lunch were yum. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Amazing! Food delicious and a lot of it

Amazing experience. Initially I was a bit worried I wouldn’t get my moneys worth as for the first 45 mins we saw only a few very small crocodiles (up to 30cm long). However, after completing the safari we managed to get to see a few over 4m long crocodiles and even got super close to Lenny (a whopping 5m long crocodile). The guides were also super kind and great. What I was very impressed with was the food provided, there was hot fish and meat and buns and salad served for lunch, and for tea we had traditional cake and tea. There was an abundance of it and the quality was great too.

A great day out for the Croc Safari! Whist we didn’t see a huge amount of crocs, due to the time of year, it was still a great day out, with plenty of laughs and insights from Steve. The bbq lunch was absolutely amazing! The tractor trail ride was a bit underwhelming, but still some good insights - completely understand why it’s needed with tides etc.

Great day out to see the saltys

Excellent day out to see the crics on Proserpine River with the guys. We managed to see a few large males and somw females. The guides knowledge was very good and he kept us all amused. Ozzy BBQ was tasty and plentiful, tea from a billy was great

Snap this one up

Great trip out with the family, our guide Tom was very knowledgeable and really navigated the river with ease turning it around in circles so everyone could get a picture of the crocs we seen. BBQ lunch was great- chicken was good (kids even told me it was better then mine 😜) Tractor tour was knowledgeable of the area, our son tried an ant and said it wasn’t bad. I had the possum poo damper- was pretty good. My kids weren’t a fan of the billy tea so I had more then my fill. All in all was a great experience whilst we were up here on holidays. Thanks guys!

Incredibly memorable day

Absolutely loved this tour! It was organised, the guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Food was delicious and facilities were great. Everyone got a chance to get close to a croc and have equal experiences. Highly recommended!

Absolutely recommend

This tour exceeded our expectations and more. We saw a large number of crocs and Tom was an excellent guide. We were lucky enough to witness two male crocodiles fighting just as we were returning. The size and strength of these animals is incredible- plus who knew crocs hissed and grunted, we couldn’t wait until the end of the fight but fingers crossed boofhead was the victor. Amazing lunch as well. I would give the tour 10 stars if I could. Highly recommended!!!

All day very well planed seen everything I came for. From getting there to going on a boat seeing crocoldiles coming back having a great lunch to getting on a tractor ride and having afternoon tea was a great day will be coming back with other people

Amazing Croc Safari

We had a family day out and did the croc safari. It exceeded all expectations - SO many crocs and the guides were brilliant. We were peppered with really interesting facts, fed really well, and Tom particularly had a great manner and sense of humour. I would absolutely recommend this! Peta

Wholesome day of adventuring

The whole trip was well-organized and seamless! You will be picked up by bus near your accommodation, taken to the “campsite” base and from there, go on a 2 hour excursion on the water getting closeup views of the crocodiles. Lunch was delicious, followed by a tractor ride through the outback with lots of fun facts from the tour guide. The Billy tea and damper at the end was definitely a highlight and a perfect sendoff before being taken back to town! The tour guides are so friendly and well-oiled machines at what they do. It was a wholesome day!

We could see lots of crocodiles up close!

Fantastically organised trip, great food and most importantly, I saw lots of crocodiles. I was picked up near my accommodation. We then had a wagon ride near a waterhole (which was a bit underwhelming). Breakfast tea was served, which was great. We then went on a 2h boat tour and saw lots of crocodiles and could get really close. I was able to take many really good pictures and the tour was definitely worthwhile! I would recommend this tour and it's also very suited for families.

Enjoyment for all- a great experience.

Great value for money- a must do experience for the family. Excellent hosts, very informative. The bbq lunch was fabulous and to finish off the day with some freshly baked damper and a billy tea was tops.

Great opportunity to see crocodiles in the habitat.

Despite the weather not being good for the experience because of the rain and cold, we were lucky to see many crocodiles. Great opportunity to see animals in their habitat without any human interaction! Lunch was good and they were able to cater my vegetarian needs. In the morning we had breakfast with damper and tea. I wish the tour guide Steve voice was louder or the microphone volume adjusted.

Crocs for sure, plus a whole lot more! Well done!!

Easily a highlight not to be missed. Tom (our naturalist for the day) clearly loves the bush and how man learned to live easily in it. And it’s not all about the crocs, though they are big and plentiful. From foam tree leaves used to stun fish to licking the lime green bum of weaver ants to get a taste of lemon (no different than honey from bees, btw), you can see there is so much to see and learn. Plus, lunc by Ian! Brilliant!!!!

Amazing day seeing crocs!

We saw so many crocodiles and Tom made sure everyone got a chance to get a good view. He was very informative and funny and incredibly knowledgeable and definitely had experience. He and Ian made delicious BBQ and tea and damper.

Crocodile Safari is a must do while visiting Airlie Beach. Super relaxed and easy day out with pickup from your accommodation's front door. Generous BBQ lunch and afternoon tea with damper. Well organised by knowledgeable hosts. Best of all, up close encounters with salt water crocodiles in their natural environment. Highly recommended!

Great value and experience

Excellent exposure to the big lizards in their natural environment, the staff were very accommodating and well informed. Excellent value for all of our group.

Well organised knowledgeable crew seeing the crocodiles so close was amazing, and the BBQ was awesome but wait there's more damper and Billy tea excellent couldn't wish for a better day
