We can not recommend Heart of the Reef Car Rentals highly enough. From our first phone call, until our last day, Russell went out of his way to be accommodating and helpful. This is not just a car rental company, this is a company which cares. We had organised for a substantial amount of seafood to be ready for pick up at Fishis when we arrived, as well as a pre-order at Coles of the basics. Rather than having the "Heart of the Reef Shuttle" bus take us to our resort, for us to then find a way back in to town to get the car, Russell organised for the Shuttle to meet him at the Coles Car park for us to collect the car. This made our arrival, collection at Coles of our order and our drive to our resort much easier for us. As often happens, our flight ran over an hour late, meaning we were going to miss our seafood collection at Fishis which closed at 5:00 pm. During our updates with Russell on the flight running late, he told us not to worry about the seafood, as he would go and collect it for us and then meet us in the car park at Coles with the car and seafood. Thanks to Russell of "Heart Of The Reef Car Rentals", that stress was entirely removed. We were flying out on Wed afternoon, and had agreed to meet Russell in town on Tuesday night to hand the car back, and we would catch a taxi back to the resort. Russell called us on Tuesday and said not to worry about that agreement, as he would get a lift out to our resort early Wed morning and collect the car, saving us a taxi fair and inconvenience of getting a lift back to the resort on Tuesday evening. Once again, an extra step which made our lives easier. Besides all of the above, the car was spotless, ran well and the pricing was more than reasonable compared to other quotes. In addition, as we booked the car hire and Bus shuttle through Heart of the Reef, we received a discount on both. This is not a standard Car rental company. This is a company which cares about its clients, their holiday and their experience. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The simple extra step of offering a drop off and pick up service alone, makes the experience much easier, especially when you are arriving in an area you don't know. Congratulations Russell on your business. With your attitude, you deserve to do well. Will definitely use your services again when we return to Airlie Beach.

Fantastic service!

Fantastic shuttle service. Bailey kept us entertained and well informed about the local activities and places to visit. I cannot recommend this company enough as I have also hired a car with them and service was amazing! Russel was there for all my questions and the car was like new!

Great airport transfer

Awesome service

Awesome service, they are ready when you arrive and speedy drive to your resort. Special shout out the the driver who after we were dropped off and we went into town for groceries, stopped us on the way home up a steep hill and asked, would you like a lift! It couldn't have come at a better time as we were exhausted from our walk. Thanks!

Airport transfer

Our pick up driver from the airport to hotel was great. Friendly and efficient The return to airport driver was ok but literally the bags were thrown on top of each other and then thrown out on the pavement at the airport. Very different treatment. Not friendly.

Very Professional and Helpful

Very professional and helpful. I somehow booked the shuttle for the day AFTER we arrived! I only realised when I got to the counter. Luckily they had spaces in the bus and they changed the booking with no charge or hassle. I then called to change my pickup point for my return trip. Again, no dramas at all. Thoroughly recommend.

Great place to visit

Bumpy road. Pickup a bit of a disorganised. Could not find my name and they did when I produced my printed copy. Getting back to the airport was fantastic . 10 minutes behind time but still enough time to board the plane.

Don’t book via Viator website

Service was average with booking via Viator but beware they charge in us and aus dollars it’s not clear on their website at time of booking after paying I Discovered I was charged in US dollars which is a lot higher than aus I used their online chat they do not listen properly to your questions so futher explaining is needed and it takes twice as long to get the info out of them. Will not be booking via Viator again but direct through the actual transfer company themselves

Heart of the Whitsundays shuttle bus to Airlie beach.

Helpful staff and drivers, they have a kiosk amongst hire car companies at the airport and will show you where the Shuttle buses are. Not the cheapest but will drop you close to your accommodation or within 40m. We’ll worth a few dollars more at $42 return. Others can be more expensive.

Really easy shuttle. The stand is so obvious to see in the bag pickup area, and they dropped us off and picked us up right outside our hotel. I thought they left little time at the airport but it’s such a small airport, we got through bag check in and security in 5 mins. Very good all round.
