Great Experience!

This was our last tour after a 10 day trip, we were tired and with low expectations; however, when we arrived at the temples it was something out of this planet. Malek and Bhavani (guide and driver), they make sure that we had a great time and a great lunch. Fully recommend destination.

Pleasant, efficient trip to historical sites in Gujarat

I was looking for a safe, quick way to visit Rani Ki Vav since this was first time visiting India for me. This tour is the most reliable one I could find online. Transportation was efficient, and the guide was great. Taking public transit is an alternative option, but it would take 3 days instead of 1. I don't have unlimited vacation time, so this was perfect for me. I recommend this tour to people who wants to save time.

A wonderful experience to these treasures of Gujarat!

Malek was very well versed about the history of the places we visited. We had interesting discussions while driving to these sights and learned a lot about the life of Gujarat. The step well and sun temple were amazing! Fascinating sites! The Patan Patola heritage sari weaving studio was interesting too. My wife visited it in 1999 and wanted to be sure it was on this itinerary for me to see. We were surprised to see her entry and note on the regisry from 1999 which made the experience even more enjoyable with so many memories! The family that runs this studio was very sweet and showed us how important it is to preserve their old culture in making these exquisite saris. This all day tour was worth doing! Highly recommend!

Amazing tour from Ahmedabad!

This was a wonderful tour that was door to door. They picked me up from my hotel and returned me back. Traveling solo made this very important to me for safety reasons. My guide was Sanket and was very informative and answered all of my questions. We had very interesting conversations on the drive out of the city. The Sun Temple was amazing and I learned about the history of the structure as well as the identity of many of the statues on it. He took beautiful photos for me with my phone and knew the right places to take the best shots. The Stepwell was mind blowing in size and Sanket walked me through the levels and explained the purpose of them. The last stop was Patola where I learned the process to make the most detailed sarees that involves dyeing each silk thread individually for the horizontal and vertical prior to weaving them together to form the most precise and gorgeous patterns. Only one family knows this process. Overall an amazing tour! Thanks so much for all I was able to see and learn.

Fascinating and Informative

This tour was arranged impeccably at rather short notice, and has been the highlight of my trip! The drive from Ahmedabad to the historic sites is an experience in of itself, as you get to look at slices of life outside of the city as the world passes by your window. As for the visits themselves - the architecture is stunning, almost overwhelming in its detail and artistry. The crowds are minimal, making these great stops off of the beaten track. Our guide, Anant Bhavsar, was a fountain of knowledge - providing not just the historical context of each location, but also diving into all the fascinating tales that the carvings represent. The experience was excellent. Storytelling and history lesson combined in a way that I couldn’t have enjoyed more. Cap it off with some lovely tea breaks, and an excellent lunch - if you are in the area this can’t be missed!

Brilliant trip

This trip was amazing, really informative and the driver was lovely. The company were very understanding and supported with changing of dates at last minute. It was a brilliant trip, with lots of good sights to see and explore.

I learned so much!

This was a brilliant full day excursion to experience some incredible historical sites outside of Ahmedabad. Collection by the guide and driver was very smooth, with the guide (Bhupen) answering all of my questions in detail all day long. The sun temple and step well were both stunning. And the sari museum was an amazing stop off and I'm in awe of the skill and technique used by the family. All in all, an excellent 10 hours spent.

A great Gujarat historical and cultural experience with Girish

It was absolutely the best tour experience that we had in India so far! If you have the possibility to ask for a particular guide - ask for Girish! I mean it! Not only is he knowledgeable, tactful and full of little anecdotes that get into you and stay with you long after the tour. He can also literally bring the visited places and monuments to life by going into details about their construction, mythological and cultural background, etc. The Sun Temple and the Stepwell were amazing sites in their own capacity but the guiding experience delivered by Girish made them a truly unforgettable experience! Highly recommended!

Best guide, fantastic sights

My guide Buhpen was on time for pickup, the driver did a great job to haul us around. The overall experience was exquisite, lunch was fantastic, the day full of breathtaking sights. Buhpen was full of information, stories, anecdotes (if I can retain half of it, I’m happy). He was kind, open and super amicable. Without him, I would have missed 90% of the experience. Thank you.

The Best Tour of Our Lives: Quality, Value, In-Depth, Inspiring, Personalized.

Amdavad (Ahmedabad) can feel intimidating and foreign to western, nonmuslim travelers. But after an intimate and quality guided tour with Girish and 5 Senses Tours, my husband and I feel connected with the people of Amdavad all the way to people of Patan that our tour covered. We are both amazed by the quality and value of the tour. It was the best guided tour we've ever had. The back office is great with communication. The tour itinerary is perfect covering hard to reach yet meaningful destinations (sun temple, patan patola, rani ki vav). In addition to interesting architectural heritage at sun temple and rani ki vav, the experience at patan patola was interesting because it showed the human cultural heritage side. Driving through the towns with Girish was fun discussing whatever we see on the road: different crops, funeral, pilgrims, cows, camels, the full water bottle temple, etc. The conversations became more and more interesting as we learned how much India has changed in the last 40+ years. As part of the planned tour, we stopped at a wonderful local restaurant where we could try Indian food to Indo-Chinese & "Indo-Italian" food. Eating with Girish was fun because we could ask about Indian food and home cooking. I was gifted with a little bag of mouth fresher because I was fascinated by it. We were given access to clean restrooms to use during the all day tour. As a result of a conversation, we made an impromptu stop at a chai place to experience ginger chai in clay cups. Even that stop was not just any tea place but a place with historic significance. Girish is a master level tour guide bridging foreign travelers and the people of India. He's been providing tours for 27 years before Indian tourism was well established. With years of experience and love for his country and profession, he has perfected his craft of guided tours. He understands travelers and does a great job facilitating travelers to enjoy India safely and deeply. He provides instant & constructive feedback to locals to better their business with travelers. We could see how Girish repairs and strengthens his community and industry WHILE providing excellent personalized tour. The best tour guide! I had a great time visited these places. Bhupendra was very knowledgeable, he was also a good photographer. He knows the best angle and places to take good pictures. The driver was also very good; safe driving and also there on time to pick us up.

memorable day out

What an incredible day. We visited 2 outstanding monuments. The Sun temple and Queen's stepwell were magnificent. A comfortable car and an affable and knowledgeable guide picked us on time. The lunch was a local spread and equality memorable Our last stop was weaving of intricate designs on silk fabric. A higjly enjoyable tour, hughly recommended.

The drive was long but the views were stupendous and definitely worth the 2 to 3-hour long drives (each way). Furthermore, my excellent tour guide, Bhupendra Oza, kept me entertained with his stories and lectures on Indian culture and architecture.

Incredible architecture

Memorable tour. Highly recommended. The driver and guide were on time and very professional. The places had amazing architecture and mesmerizing. I was lucky to have visited the sun T egg mole when there was a rehearsal and singing for an upcoming dignitaries. It was very interesting to witness it and imagine how the place would have been during its hay days.

Awesome time in Ahmedabad

Was in Ahmedabad for a last minute work trip and would like to visit some places in the city. Came across 5 senses tour on TripAdvisor and was really pleased by the excellent service, guide & driver. I got in touch with Narayanan and the response were prompt. He is accommodating to my itinerary request and it was a smooth arrangement. I visited the Sun temple, Queen’s well (Rani Ki Vav) & Swaminarayan Akshardham temple. All of them were spectacular and worth making a trip to. Our guide Kavi is knowledgeable and patient and our driver Mr Singh kept us safe throughout the journey. It is definitely a trip to remember and whenever if you are in India, please book your tour with 5 senses. Highly recommended.

Throughout the trip, we never felt short of excitement and joy due to the immense amounts of facts and information thrown at us by our guide. The tour started on schedule with an early pickup from the hotel, with regular chai stops along the way and lastly being awed by the amazing architecture built with the technology of the past.

I signed up for the day tour from Ahmedabad to modhera sun temple, step well and patola silk weaving tour. It was an amazing day. The world heritage site of Rani ki van was incredible. It had 5 storeys and was a marvel of ancient engineering. The Sun temple of modhera was another beauty. The design again was divine. We also got to meet silk weavers jn Patan and it was mesmerizing to see the weaving of Patola sprees. Five Senses Tours did an excellent job with a lovely guide and a comfortable and clean car which picked us from lobby of our hotel on time. This tour is highly recommended for anyone coming to Ahmedabad.

Unforgettable Day tour near Ahmedabad

I took the day tour from Ahmedabad to Modhera sun temple and Patan. It was an amazing day with Vipul. He first took us to a magnificent Step well. It was multistoried and have never seen anything like this. Fittingly its a world heritage site. The next destination was an incredible temple for Sun God. The design is so immaculate that the sun rays light it up on summer solstice. The end of the tour was at Patan where we saw skilled weavers making Patola sarees. An unforgettable experience

Beyond expectations

A perfect day! I took this private tour and was satisfied with everything. They followed every point I requested with great professionalism, taking into account the times (I had a late afternoon flight). The suggestions on how much time I could spend on the last point of the tour so as not to be late but without causing haste or anxiety were very helpful. It's really hard to find people like that! They showed up at the hotel on time, even though I was alone I never felt "assaulted" but I think my guide was called Param and he behaved very professionally. I had a bit of fear about my next stop but he reassured me a lot, he made himself available for anything which I found really nice. I felt like a friend, not a customer. You can see he puts his heart into what he does. I really recommend to everyone! And thanks for your availability and also help with the photos since I was alone and I wouldn't have even had one for memory other than the ones with just the monuments.
