It was an amazing experience as Kunal was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife we’ve seen and super friendly! You can really tell that the whole approach is about offering incredible quality and money is less than an afterthought. Chambal River Safari - A Mesmerising experience

We got a chance to cruise around the Cursed Chambal River with none other than Kunal Jain from Travel With! It was a mesmerising experience and we were elated to find so many species of birds along with a few of the reptiles like the Gharials as well even on a Foggy Day with almost 0 chances of viewing. Thanks to Kunal and his third eye, we could see so much of life inside the Chambal. He was so informative and a perfect story teller! We listened and enjoyed the beautiful ride over his amazing and knowledgable tales. I truly recommend going on a safari with him. His knowledge is Par Excellence.

Wonderful off-the-beaten track eco-adventure

Travelling with our wonderful naturalist Kunal Jain, was an excellent first experience of doing a tour "off the beaten track". We learnt about the fauna and the history of civilization around the Chambal river (and what makes it a unique eco-system). He shares the professional pics of animals that we saw and just adds to a lovely memory of enjoying nature in the wild. We had also a fantastic "Indiana Jones" moment touring the Bateshwar temple complex ruins in Morena with him. Kunal arranged a seamless end to end tour experience from Delhi-Agra-Sariska-Delhi, including glamping and tiger spotting days. This was a remarkable family adventure!

Spectacular day on Chambal River.

We had an amazing day on the Chambal River and at Bateshswar Temples with Kunal from Travel With. His enthusiasm and love for the natural surroundings was infectious. We saw over 30 varieties of wildlife including the much anticipated and critically endangered Gharial. His knowledge and professionalism was 1st class. We learned so much! It was a perfect blue, clear day. Totally magical!

We had a wonderful time with Kunal. He knew a lot, not just about the ghariyals, crocs, turtles and birds of the region, but also the history and mythology of the Chambal river and region. Chambal River Safari

I loved getting outside the busy cities and tourist attractions to see unique animals, vegetation, and landscapes. It was astonishingly quiet and peaceful on the river. We saw many crocodiles, turtles, a desert fox, a dolphin, and many different kinds of birds throughout the entire trip. Kunal was a great guide with a strong passion for wildlife and a keen eye. The provided binoculars were a great touch and allowed you to get see just how amazing the animals in their natural habitat are. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves to immerse themselves in nature.

Awesome trip

Was part of the "Beyond Taj"trip, which was planned by Kunal. Amazing trip covering Bhateswar temples, Chausath Yogini Temple, Mitaoli, Garhi Padhavali, Holipura havellis, Heritage walk through the gallis of Agra, and not to forget the Water safari - boat ride through the cursed river of Chambal valley. People always think, Agra is all about Taj and some more monuments, but I am sure if you plan for this trip, your viewpoint will change forever. Having Kunal as our guide was an added bonus as he shared his insights and experiences, and much more during this trip. Thank you Kunal for arranging our stay at Awatar Mansion, another gem from this trip. Arranging the locals like Arun uncle, Shantanu to take us through the history of these places. Thank you again for such a lovely trip Kunal!!. Looking forward to many more such trips.

Great fun

The "Agra Beyond the Taj trip" covering the Holipura Havelis, temples at Morena, Chambal river safari and lesser known aspects of Agra was wonderful. We saw lots of wildlife on the Chambal and it was fascinating to learn about the lesser known parts of Agra city and the surrounding region. Kunal is friendly, knowledgeable and hospitable which made the trip very enjoyable. Shantanu, who took us on a guided tour of the lesser known aspects of Agra, is a fountain of historical knowledge and enthusiasm. We had enough time to visit the Taj during the day and night, as well as the "Baby Taj" ourselves which was wonderful. It would be nice if a couple of the traditionally popular Agra monuments can be added as they are always a treat to visit and explore more in-depth and learn more about their history, even if you have seen them before.

Once in a lifetime experience

The experience was like never before. This safari is way apart from usual jungle safari, but even more thrilling. Mr Kunal nicely briefed us about chambal river and the wildlife in it, especially different types of turtle, gharial and crocodiles. We had no idea before about so many types of turtle and crocs. In the safari we saw many gharials, crocodile and three types of turtle ( hard shell and two types of soft shell ). We were able to take good photos of them also. I am a bird enthusiast and was very happy to spot Indian skimmer and black bellied tern, both of them are endangered species. Kunal also showed us a desert fox, which we could spot after many efforts, but he shares his photos of the trip, which is really another big plus point. Many other varieties of birds were also there. Mr Kunal shared his experience about how he started this exceptional type of safari which is really impressive. The last thing that we want to mention - it was sad to see a lot of plastic packets and other things polluting the area. Also, a lot of construction works are going on in the particular place. It is threatening to the animals and we fear that the wildlife will be deprived of their natural habitat. Authorities should be aware about this

A trip to Chambal river with Kunal

A tour to Chambal river was one of the best moments of our trip to Agra! Kunal was very knowledgeable about the wildlife there , as well as about the history of that place. He also new the best spots for watching wild animals and took amazing professional pictures that he later shared with us. Kunal also arranged very nice and knowledgeable guides in other sights we visited, like Taj Mahal, “Baby Taj”, “Agra fort” etc. If I happen to visit Agra again I will definitely ask Kunal’s help with organising our trip.

Great tour of the temples and river safari

Kunal organized a tour guide for Agra and the Taj Mahal for us and then he took us on the Chambal River. It was lots of fun and Kunal's enthusiasm and knowledge of the birds and wildlife made for a great outing. Get away from the crowds and enjoy some peace and quiet on the beautiful river. Kunal also organized our trip to other parts of India and at each place he arranged a great guide and helpful tips on restaurants and places to see.

Perfect tour to Tempels and River safari

We booked Kunal for one day as we had plenty of time in Agra. He took us to the temples of Morena and to Chambal river. Particular at the river safari we saw crocodiles and birds all over the place. Both were exciting trips were Kunal showed as knowledgeable and easy going guide. It proved true that Agra has much more to offer than just the Taj. We highly recommend him.

The Unheard part of Chambal River

My Family & I just returned from a fabulous Chambal River Safari experience with Naturalist Kunal Jain. What a refreshing little trip. Much needed R & R with the incredibly passionate Kunal about the river creatures and the area in general. Pleasant hour drive through lush mustard fields from central Agra to the serene Chambal with its breathtaking topography of ravines and fields. Throughout the drive, Kunal passionately gave us information on why he does what he does with keen sense of the connect to the history behind the river. The river safari was definitely above our expectations and the abundant life in it and around it was a pleasant experience. Thank You Kunal for a worthwhile trip and looking forward to more such across India.

Chambal Safari with Kunal

I was a bit sceptical about taking this safari but went along. Soon realised I was very glad I took the Safari. Kunal was very knowledgable and it was quite apparent this work was very close to his heart. He explained the details of the wild life we expected to see on our journey to the starting point of safari. The Safari was in the boat which was in prime condition and safe for the nine of us to go together. Saw many Ghariyals and crocodiles along with various types of turtles in their natural habitat. We also saw many type of birds and were given detailed information for each by our very keen and knowledgeable guide Kunal. The Safari time just flew away and we came back much wiser after a very enjoyable trip. I would strongly recommend it for all.

Amazing River Safari

The entire river safari was amazing with multiple sightings of rare species, birds, and crocodilians. Kunal was a very well informed tour guide and ensured we had a fun, educational and awe-inspiring safari! He was a pleasure to interact with. Wonderful River Safari on Chambal River

The river Safari was an amazing experience. Kunal is a great guide, but he is much more than that. His passion for nature and especcially for the turtle species, diffferent crocodiles and other animals in and in the surroundings of Chambal River made this safari very special. I learned a lot from him during this afternoon and I’m so grateful for that. If you want to see a lot of water wildlife you really must do this safari with Kunal and his kind colleges on the boat. Besides that he is an awfully nice person, his English is perfect and his working experience in several countries in the world make him a wonderful companion.

Once in a Lifetime exerience! A Must do when in AGRA!

This tour was for sure a "once in a lifetime tour". The Chambal river is an almost untouched ecosystem as it just opened up for tourism. We went there late October with my parents (78-80 years) and kids (7-11) and were not disappointed. Getting into the boat was a bit challenging for my parents as both of them are not so mobile anymore but the team assisted us perfectly. The tour itself was easy peasy and we saw much more than we expected. The area was so full of wildlife, that we didn’t know where to look as the wildlife was all around us. Peacocks greeted us when we got off the car, once at the boat there was a little crocodile already.. One the boat tour we saw Gharials, Dolphins, jumping fish, all kind of turtles and birds and at the end an amazing sunset. Unbelievable, and truly a lifetime experience. Glad Kunal made good pictures so we will always remember this great day! Thanks Kunal & Team

Wonderful chambal safari.

Wanted to photograph Gharial, Got it from a close view. Got crocodile, 2 varieties of Turtle, Pratinkole, Tern, Thick Knee, Plover. It's a wonderful day trip from Agra. Credit goes to our tour operator and guide Kunalji, energetic wildlife expert.

My wife, daughter (13) and I had a wonderful excursion on the Chambal River Safari with Kunal this past weekend. It was a fun and educational diversion from the typical sightseeing in Agra. Kunal is an excellent guide and shared some really interesting facts and stories about the river, wildlife and region as a whole. We were able to spot (and photograph) some unusual species. In addition to his work as a guide, Kunal takes excellent photos as well, so you can sit back and enjoy if you prefer! He also helped arrange for our transport from Delhi and our excellent guide to the Taj Mahal and other sites in Agra. Overall a great experience, and we look forward to touring with him and his company soon.

Awesome Nature River Trip down the Chambal.

My son and I went on Kunal's Chambal River Safari and definitely want to take the rest of family back to experience it. Not only did we get to see a wide variety of animals, we were able to learn about the history of the region and all about the wide variety of birds, both native and migratory from Kunal. If you are looking to get in a nature add on to your trip to the Taj I would highly recommend going.

Big crocodiles at the foot of beautiful hills

Relatively close to Agra, about an hour's drive away, the cherished Shambal River flows, surprisingly enough, but with clean water, and full of living creatures. There is no industry near it, only a few villages in the distance. Around the river are high hills overgrown with bushes, dotted with labyrinths of ravines. Until relatively recently, numerous gangs of gangsters who lived in symbiosis with villages hid in the ravines, in general, this is a very strange place, quite suitable for Conan Doyle's novels. Some time ago, the bandits were dispersed, and a Kunal enthusiast-naturalist appeared on the river, who began organizing river safaris. After the Taj Mahal, Agra and high culture, why don't you touch the wild? We decided to touch. In the river there are crocodiles, gavials, i.e., also crocodiles, only others, five species of turtles, unique river dolphins, and countless birds. Fish, of course, is also there. Since we arrived in the midst of the Dashehra festival, sometimes statues of goddesses Durga, Devi, Shakti, Parvati and other female characters from the numerous Hindu pantheon floated along the river, but there were fewer of them than crocodiles. We found the first crocodile five minutes after the start of the journey, he was basking on the ruins of a flooded temple. Pilgrims from nearby villages washed in the river nearby, and children and other careless bathers simply splashed in the shallow water. bathers were not at all embarrassed by the presence of huge reptiles in the river. The guide said that crocodiles devour someone from the locals every year, but this does not happen very often, the villagers treat it philosophically. Karma, samsara, this life will end, another one will begin, what's the difference? Well, now, don't go swimming or something? About two hours, almost before sunset, we swam along the river, watching crocodiles and birds. It's a very impressive journey. Thank you, Kunal. I recommend taking binoculars with you to view the animals in detail. I attach some photos from the walk.

Excellent trip with Kunal's Chambal River Safari

Kunal's Chambal River Safari is a must do if you are visiting Agra. It was a fantastic complement to visiting the Taj and the fort. Being out on the river was so peaceful despite it being a busy holiday weekend and we saw crocodiles, including some baby gharials, a turtle and so many types of birds. Kunal was a wealth of information on the history of the area and the wildlife. Kunal made the whole thing easy in terms of logistics and he even provided great recommendations on hotels and restaurants for our Agra stay. Definitely looking forward to future trips with Kunal at other parks in India.

This unique river safari via boat is unique and memorable. Kunal is knowledgeable and makes sure everyone on the boat is involved and informed. The safari well organized with safety of all in mind.

Exciting Safari. Wonderful Experience.

We were an entourage of 3 families (10 adults + 1 infant) who endertook the Chambal River Safari. Kunal, the Safari organizer, is a young, passionate and enthusiastic naturalist, and an avid photographer who knows both fauna and flora like the back of his hand! He helped us spot several species of migratory bids (some from far away Siberia), Gangetic dolphins who periodically bobbed up, many species of tortoise, and also a jungle cat surveying the banks of ravines. Ofcourse we saw Ghariyals (Crocodiles) of several shapes and sizes (i.e. age) . However, the pièce de résistance was the sight of a full-grown Gharial (must be about 10 feet long) who emerge near the bank to protected his territory by keeping a watchful eye while we disembarked from our motorboat. And then, silently submerged back seeing no threat from us. Thank you Kunal for a memorable Safari!

Weekending at Chambal safari lodge

Located just 40 mins away from Agra , this place is truly no brainer relaxation point for you with your loved ones. Nestled amidst the green forests and next to the first heritage site in Uttar Pradesh , the village Holipura, it was an extension to the comfort of being at home combined with the thrill of being at a safari lodge. Greeted by a very warm welcome with garlands and dhols followed by a welcome drink, The place has 6 independent cottages , harbouring a modern bathroom and outdoor garden seating . The food was excellent and we were well taken care of by the owner personally. The staff went ahead for decorating the garden area in order for us to host a Birthday program and a dandiya night . Though they could improve on the service by installing telecoms in each cottage as it becomes difficult to communicate to the staff at times incase you need something. And train the staff to make them a bit more efficient. While staying there , going on to the Chambal river safari is a must. The heritage walk in the village holipura and the visit to the famous bhateshwar Nath temple on the banks of Yamuna by the owner himself were some of the highlights . All in all it was a great trip , offering and catering to the needs of individual of every age group!!!

River Safari at Chambal

- A very different experience, had not expected Chambal to be so beautiful - Saw plenty of birds , animals and amphibians - it was so exciting to see a very large crocodile literally trailing our boat A wonderful experience at a not very touristy place. Thanks to Kunal for organizing this for us.

Chambal river safari

Wishing to share what we found to be indeed a great holiday trip, in a Natural Environment.  We went for one of the best 'River Safaris' in our life in our home land, India with Kunal Jain an aspiring naturalist. It was none other than on the famous Chambal river that flows through the ravines, being in the past, home of the dacoits.  Did not imagine we will get to see so many of Nature's creations in one trip. The timing & season for the trip, was indeed planned by Kunal for us. On the 23rd of February 2021, in the Afternoon. One can spend the whole day there without getting bored ever. We sighted          a) 5/6 varieties of fresh water turtles.ll          b) Gharials (males & females)          c) Fresh water Crocodiles           d) Some 15 / 20 species birds including the migratory ones. Had a great time. Thanks Kunal!

Best safari yet!

Our family did the Chambal River Safari with Kunal February 2021. It was an amazing adventure and fantastic for our kids. Never a dull moment! We saw countless crocodiles and so many birds. We even saw a Kingfisher take a dive for fish along the edge of the river. It was a magnificent experience and Kunal was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable of the river and local wildlife. We learned so much. There really is so much more "beyond the Taj"!

Memorable

Kunal made the Chambal River Safari a memorable experience. For someone who loves wildlife and has an interest in bird watching, it was a pleasure to be in the company of someone like Kunal who is extremely knowledgeable about the geography and wildlife in the area. The river is beautiful and clean with a vibrant blue colour that makes it very easy to spot crocodiles along with turtles and dolphins.

Perfect day trip from Agra

I and a group of friends were in Agra over a weekend with no particular agenda in mind when we decided to give the river safari over the Chambal a try. We contacted Kunal, who was kind enough to take us along despite the extremely sudden notice and arranged for everything within an hour. The safari itself was an amazing experience. We spotted plenty of gharials, tortoises and migratory birds. The pristine Chambal River and the surrounding ravines provided for an idyllic setting. Best of all however was Kunal's in depth knowledge and passion about the Agra-Chambal region, its history, people, wildlife and cultural heritage. After our safari, Kunal recommended a couple of relatively unknown places for us to see in Agra, which we later checked out and thoroughly liked. I plan on visiting Agra and the surrounding region sometime again just to visit the other places Kunal told us about. I would highly recommend getting in touch with Kunal for anyone who's interested in offbeat, sustainable and experience based travel.

Enchanting Chambal

Kunal is very professional and made my impromptu Chambal safari decision a boon. This is a lesser known destination and very little information is available about the spot. I found out about Travelwith online and this was organised in less than 24 hours. Fabulous turnaround. The trip came packed in with knowledge, an amazing experience, a pair of binoculars for up close views and excellent clicks by Kunal. Chambal safari is gorgeous and for sure a bucket list item. Mine is done.

A hidden Gem!!

Great experience!! A hidden gem!! Seeing the crocs and ghariyal resting on the small island and riverside was awesome. And must say Kunal was a great guide!! Thanks Kunal for showing me and my 5yrs old daughter this bright side of Chambal!!

The most important safari to include in your bucket list

We had been waiting to do this safari for many years and finally we made it to the river. The stretch of water where most of the reptiles are visible is about 2 kms. It's amazing to see ghariyals and crocodiles in their natural habitat. Majestic animals just waiting to photographed. Rare turtles and migratory birds make this a must do safari. It's a must do without any doubt. The icing on the cake is doing the safari with my (now) friend kunal. He is passionate and knowledge able about the area and absolutely makes the safari that much more exciting and fun. We were lucky to have him with us. Would recommend to all travelers you must have a good and professional naturalist with you to do this safari. And Kunal fits the bill. Also whatever we can contribute to the conservation of this river eco system through awareness and word of mouth would go a long way to preserve this stretch of fragile eco system before we lose it forever. Keep up the good work Kunal and team.

Not just another trip

The trip that we had reminds me of a poem I read is school by Robert Frost… The Road Not Taken. Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could… … Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. Most tourist limit their Agra trips to the magnificent Taj Mahal and Agra Fort and miss out on lesser known other attractions like the Keetham Lake, Bharat Bird Century and the Chambal Safari. These places take the visitors closer to nature and provide them an experience that they would remember for a very long time. As always, I was in my hometown Agra for Diwali celebrations in November this year. As this year i had taken a longer leave than usual, so we planned for a day trip to visit the Chambal Safari in Bah. We were lucky to find Mr. Kunal Jain who not only guided us throughout the trip, but also provided the children an insight on the lives of the bandits who once occupied the area but also how much important it was to preserve the ecosystem around the Chambal river. The Chambal Safari is about an hour drive from Agra city. Kunal had made all arrangements on our behalf and we were on the motor boats without any delay. We were able to see Marsh crocodile, Gharial (male and female), Indian tent turtle, Indian Softshell turtle and various species of birds. The Chambal River unlike other rivers was relatively clean to support the wildlife and had plenty of fishes. We were not able to see the Dolphins but hope to see them next time. We left Agra for the trip around 11am and were back around 6pm. Kunal had also made arrangements for Lunch in a resort nearby. So next time, you plan for a visit to Agra, add a day and visit the Chambal Safari. You would not regret it. Also dont forget to engage with a guide who is as enthusiastic and knowledgeable like Mr. Kunal Jain. Family of three had a blast.

Our Family took he Chambal River Safari along with a trip to the Taj Majal and Agra. It was a great addition of local nature to the otherwise history/architecture focussed trip. Our guide Kunal was knowledgeable, personable, and all around a great guide. He struck the right balance between science and kid fun!

A Memorable River Safari

National Chambal Safari, is a tri-state Safari with access from three states- Agra in Uttar Pradesh, Morena in Madhya Pradesh and Dhaulpur in Rajasthan. We set out for the safari from Dhaulpur, Rajasthan. The National Chambal Ghariyal Sanctuary was established to protect critically endangered Gharials, a long nosed crocodile, endemic to Indian Rivers. Along with Gharials, The National Chambal Sanctuary is home to the Marsh Crocodiles, Turtles, Dolphins, Black Bellied Tern, Bar Headed Geese, Rudy Shelduck, Purple Heron and Indian Skimmers. The boat safari offers you an opportunity to observe the avifaunal biodiversity and enjoy unique landscape from various angles. With Naturalist Kunal Jain and his local guides, Chambal River Safari was a great experience. Kunal is a knowledgeable person and made extra efforts to show us other water bodies as well.

Great River Cruise

We done this River Cruise as part of our holiday package! It was fabulous and very informative! Unfortunately did not see any hippopotamuses but did see plenty of crocodiles and alligators. Definitely, recommend this activity!

Great experience

This experience was thw highlight of our trip to India so far! Kunal is knowledgeable and super passionate about nature. We even shared some photography tips. The experience itself is mind blowing and the Chambal river is magical and full of animals we never saw before. Highly recommended! if you are in Agra for more than 1 day, build in some timw for this: it'll make your trip so much more interesting!

Safari@Chambal River

My family & I have done many Jungle Safari in the past, though this was our first river safari and we were looking forward to it. It took about an hour and a half from Agra to reach the safari spot. The river was sparkling clean. Safari was upriver for an hour following the river bank on one side and followed the other while returning. Amazing experience! Came across highly diverse and rich fauna... Gharial, Crocodile, Turtle, Dessert Fox, Owlet and Birds (Ruddy Shelducks, Bar Headed Geese, Indian Skimmer, Purple Heron). We were extremely lucky to have multiple sightings of 2 Indian River Dolphins. Kunal@totravelwith was knowledgeable, patient and ensured that we thoroughly enjoy the unspolit nature. Worth spending a day more in Agra just for this safari. Highly recommended.

An experience not to be missed

This was my first ever river safari ever. To be frank I did not know what to expect. Even the Internet does not have much information on the same. However, considering I love exploring the outdoors I decided to go ahead. When we reached for the river safari, the river was covered in a thick blanket. It was even hard to spot where the river was, but as the veil of fog lifted, the vast expanse of the Chambal was right in front of us. The Chambal river is truly one of most pristine and pollution free rivers in India. As you go on the river, on the safari, you are literally transported back in time. The area once home to dacoits gives you an idea why this was their preferred area of operation. Infact the ravines cut by the Chambal River add a certain amount of romanticism to entire ambience. The best thing about the river safari is however, the varied wildlife that you witness, that too from close quarters, that this ecosystem supports. The pearls of wisdom provided by Mr Kunal Jain only makes the experience all the more memorable. Truly this is one river safari, in India, not to be missed.

Amazing River Safari

This was truly a unique and incredible experience! Kunal has amazing knowledge of the Chambal River, the wildlife, and history. Kunal is an expert at spotting wildlife, has a great pair of binoculars you can use, and even shared his pictures with me at the end. Kunal is a natural conversationalist and made me feel comfortable as a solo traveler. The communication regarding the whole trip was phenomenal. Would 100% recommend this as a once in a lifetime experience when visiting Agra.

Amazing wildlife tour !

Firstly one doesn't know much about wildlife in Kota, Rajasthan. So a big thanks to Kunal Jain for choosing such an offbeat location with so many wildlife places to explore ! The entire tour was an enthralling one. The early boat ride on Chambal river was one of a kind experience,we heard a distress call from a langoor and following it further we spotted a leopard ! Euphoria ! Birds perched on the canyon rocks on their nests was the best slice of winged wildlife here. Peregrine falcons,brown fish owl,Indian eagle owl to name a few. And not to forget the stay at Sukdham koti. A very pleasant stay with great food 👌
