We arrived in Cairns 11.00pm on a Friday night. Service was excellent. Sam our driver went beyond the call of duty as we had issues finding lockbox for accommodation. He wasnt going anywhere until we were sorted.

Very efficient service provider was waiting at the airport. Informative drive to accommodation and made us feel welcome to the Cairns district. Would certainly use this service again. No problems and no disappointments, and apart from the unusual weather conditions ( very strong SSE winds), we managed to enjoy the region from Port Douglas to Cairns city. There are plenty of tourist attractions to visit and enjoy and the entire region is a playground for the younger generation. The food outlets are exceptional and we managed to dine at most. a thoroughly enjoyable week.

Airport transfer

Friendly and courteous driver met us at the designated spot outside Cairns airport after our late arrival. Dropped is at our accomodation in Palm cove safely.

Very slow- arrived at airport at 11am and didn’t get to palm cove till 1pm. Worth paying for the upgrade

Fabulous Service

Our driver Fred picked us up at Port Douglas. He was on time & friendly & happy even with our several bags 🙄 Transfer to Palm Cove… He made the effort to drop us exactly at Belle property in Triton street where we had to pick up our keys for our apartment. I left my brand-new hat under my seat on the bus. Rang and spoke to the friendly girl at Exemplar and Fred kindly return my hat to reception where we were staying a couple of hours later! On time, professional service.

Exemplar know what they are doing! Very professional - absolutely recommended as a reliable (and caring) transfer service. We booked Cairns Airport to Palm Cove Shuttle and return. On arrival at Cairns, we had that horrible experience of waiting at the baggage carousel and being there to see the last pickup but not seeing our luggage come through. Exemplar were great - Idris waited for us to complete the lost luggage and reassured us that it would be arrive on the next flight (which it did). Great service, friendly, local team - thank you.

Excellent Service

Exemplar Coaches took us from Cairns Railway Station to Palm Cove on Saturday Night 6th August 2022 and on 9th August 2022, Tuesday morning from Palm Cove to Cairns Airport. In the morning after the transfer to Palm Cove,shock, Horror, no Sunglasess', bought them in Japan in 2017 and had a huge emotional attachment. Wayne, the driver on the airport run, when asked, said that they often had stuff like that left and took my phone details. True to hus word, back in Adelaide, a photo came, four pair number 1-4 arrived, with great delight, I saw #2 were my wayward glasses. A post pack was sent to Exemplar Coaches; I then got daily updates until my beloved glasses appeared in the post. Can't speak highly enough of Wayne and Exemplar Coaches, thank you so much

Great transfer service

We were met upon arrival at Cairns Airport near the baggage claim and advised where to meet the bus outside terminal, bus was on time and the whole process on the day was easy. The only suggestion I would make is to call Exemplar directly to make the booking as the website is a bit hard to navigate.

Has booked and paid for a taxi. It was for 11pm at Cairns airport however the taxi did not turn up. . Phoned the emergency contact number but it went to answerphone. In the end had to queue at the taxi rank and pay for another taxi

Unhappy

Shuttle was 35 mins late ! No apology . Used his mobile phone while driving !!!! Made it to airport 1 hr before flight . Not happy .

Shuttle bus arrived late

We got told there will be a exemplar representative waiting for us at 12:00. 15 minutes went past i called up the office, they said someone will be there soon. 45 minutes later they finally appeared. I understand that sometimes there are delays due to unforeseen circumstances. I would have appreciated a phone call/text/email notifying me they were arriving later than scheduled.

Incredibly helpful driver

I’m on crutches and arrived in an airport wheelchair. Driver was SO helpful as he wheeled me to the shuttle bus. Organised my luggage and then took wheelchair back

Disappointing experience

My partner and I arrived at the airport and we were not on the driver’s list, despite our booking and confirmation. I approached the driver and enquired but he said we were not with him. I ended up speaking to a coordinator from his company who told him to take us. The driver was not interested in resolving the issue. We could have easily already left via Uber at this point had I not persevered and spoken to his colleague. We were taken to a mini bus that was full of passengers that had been waiting for an hour by the time we arrived. They were understandably unimpressed but behaving properly. Despite being packed in like sardines, no one was wearing a mask except me and my partner. After waiting about 15 minutes the driver announced that we were waiting on another couple. Understandably, some other passengers questioned this with the driver given they had already been on the bus for an hour and not moved anywhere. The driver handled the situation poorly from a customer service perspective. While I get that none of the delay was his fault, his management of the unrest was lacking. He mentioned leaving his previous job due to customer abuse (no one had abused him - he was asked reasonable questions by frustrated passengers); and he threatened to kick everyone off the bus and leave us there. I found his approach unacceptable. He then asked everyone to put masks on before we finally left. I don’t see the point of having everyone packed into a small space for an hour without masks, then being told that masks are necessary (my partner and I were wearing our masks regardless). He should have instructed people to wear masks before they entered the bus. WHS responsibilities were not managed correctly on this occasion. Overall I was very disappointed with the experience. I’ll be getting an Uber next time.

Below average wouldn’t recommend

We waited an hour for the driver to arrive only to be told that we weren’t on the manifest. The driver wouldn’t let us on board even though we were showing him our valid tickets. After calling the after hours number multiple times with no answer the driver got hold of the night manager and allowed us to board.

REFUND CAME THROUGH OK

This company initially got our booking details incorrect. We wanted to go to Palm Cove ( correct details on form) ;they put in Port Douglas and charged us accordingly. Double correct price. After a delay, the refund has come through ok. Our resort had recommended. Very good service in the coach.

Bus didn't show. No communication from Company

I confirmed the day before and was told the time of pick up was 7.20 am at Peppers Palm Cover. My flight was at 9.10 am. I waited ten minutes and the SHUTTLE DIDN'T arrive. I tried to ring but the office was closed. I then went to hotel reception where I was staying. They rang and spoke to the duty manager who said they would follow up. Ten minutes later no word. I asked hotel reception to ring again and they were informed the bus driver had not shown up. We were advised a taxi would be ordered but none arrived by 7.55. Luckily some other people were travelling by hire car to the airport. I, and another couple, who were waiting for the bus transfer asked them for a lift. They very generously let us come with them. I made the baggage check in with a few minutes to spare. I am not sure if the other couple made the flight. I received NO communication from the company at any time through this. When I rang to make a verbal complaint I was told to send an email which I did. Still NO COMMUNICATION from the company. I rang again three days later and at last someone listened to my complaint and is following up.
