Fantastic tour for both football and cricket fans. This oval has so much history, Craig our guide was fantastic. A beautiful old stadium with heaps of new aspects. Loved the original scoreboard, well done Adelaide oval.

Tour worth every penny

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the cricket over all the years. We were lucky enough to see Adelaide football club training prior to the Richmond v Adelaide match. Even better Richmond had a win. Great tour worth every penny spent. I would recommend this tour to any one that is staying in Adelaide.

Scoreboard was the best part. Tour guide spent too much time in the football dressing rooms, not enough time on the cricket section .

Autumn Break

The history aspect of Adelaide oval and the inside story of the old score board and how it works. This oval is probably the last of the traditional stadiums left in Australia. Whole trip enjoyable and informative.

Behind the scenes at Adelaide Oval

Was great to go behind the scenes at this iconic oval but as a cricket lover was a bit too much football ball oriented. The heritage listed scoreboard was amazing to see the internal workings. Our tour guide Ralph was very knowledgeable and loved his stories. Would love to have seen all the cricket memorabilia that used to be in the Old Chappell Bar. Still great value for money and very enjoyable morning.

If you love cricket and football you will love this tour

The history was great as was the guide. I am a local who thought this was fantastic. Time of 90 mins is good for this tour. A must in Adelaide to do. !

A comprehensive tour well worth the time and effort (it's along walk)

The ice baths and the crowd roar in the tunnel. I'm not a sports fan, I had no idea of what goes on behind the sceens. I would never have gone but for visiting English cousins who dragged me along.

A nice walk through history

A great visit for any cricket (and presumably footie) fan. The stadium is extremely well managed, and the guide does a great job taking you through time and reliving some of the pivotal moments in the two sports. The heritage scoreboard was a highlight of the trip!

We had a fabulous tour...

We had a fabulous tour guide in Peter. He was a very passionate Adelaide Oval supporter. It was all great, however I particularly loved the old scoreboard.

Listening to the history of the stadium and how beautiful the place was. The knowledge of the guides were great and the tour was not to hard to walk around for the 90 minute time limit.

Lovely modern stadium to walk around, not what I would call a soulless bowl like today's stadia, this place was oozing with tradition and history which includes a museum dedicated to Don Bradman Our guide was very knowledgeable, was done at a casual pace Well worth a visit

Another Historic Ground.

It was great to visit another historic ground and to see the Old Scoreboard and all the history and seeing how all the mechanisms worked. It is also good to see how the new has blended so well with the new. Brian was a genial guide and the lady on reception was welcoming and friendly

Fantastic behind the scenes tour

We loved this tour - I'm not even into footy or cricket but I found it so interesting seeing all of the behind the scenes workings of the stadium. My favourite parts were seeing how the score board worked, and the experience of walking out into the stadium with the recorded roar of the crowd. The guide was excellent - so knowledgeable and full of interesting stories.

A really good tour. Gives you another perspective of the Oval and the history of both cricket and South Australian Football. The inside of the old scoreboard was amazing a great historical piece of the oval.

Fabulous experience.

Absolutely one of the best tours I’ve been on. It was so interesting , thanks to our guide Ian. We were taken all over the inside areas that no one gets it see. The most exciting part of the tour was actually going inside the old scoreboard. It is a must when visiting Adelaide.

Informative and fun

This tour is quite well paced, informative and interesting. It goes for 90 minutes and there is a balance of coverage of cricket and AFL information so if you like one and not the other don't despair! You get to see a lot of behind the scenes stuff - dressing rooms, corporate areas and get inside the heritage listed scoreboard. There are stairs to climb but if your fitness isn't great you still aren't likely to have any dramas. You can pick up souvenirs from the concierge desk and it is a chance to check out the Bradman Collection housed at Adelaide Oval as well.
