From Abu Dhabi: Grand Mosque, Qasr Al Watan Palace & Etihad Tower

Didn’t get to go as the weather meant the trip was cancelled. I ended up sitting in my hotel lobby for over an hour before I found out. Communication with customers needs to be improved!

The Etihad Tower observation deck was amazing, Palace was amazing and the Mosque was beautiful (I would suggest you go any day other than Friday as it was very busy

Excellent guide and trip

Mariana our tour guide was excellent and it was really interesting to see the Grand Palace and the Mosque as this is certainly not something you would ever get the chance to see in the west. Overall it’s was excellent value for money and we were picked up on time and the communication beforehand was excellent.

Fabulous tour

Fabulous trip. Very well organised, great guide who explained everything perfectly for us & chatted to us. Great guy. The mosque and Palace were breathtaking. Magnificent buildings. Not to be missed if you are in Abu Dhabi.

Awesomeness in Abu Dhabi

Jahan was an awesome guide! From pickup to drop off, everything was fantastic. The Grand Mosque, Ethiad Towers, and the presidential palace were incredible. Lunch at the mall and a bit of shopping was perfect 🙂 20/10! A++++

Sights interesting, organization marginal

The tour "Abu Dhabi City Tour" is generally recommended. We visited everything according to the program. The mosque and the Qasr Al Watan Palace are really worth seeing and a highlight in Abu Dhabi. The Etihad Towers are not that spectacular if you have been on the 148th floor of the Burj Khalifa before, but the view of Abu Dhabi is worth it. We have already spent 3 hours of the planned 5.5 hours in the mosque due to long waiting times, which meant that we only had little time at Qasr Al Watan Palace (there was also a longer waiting time at the cash desk and at the shuttle bus ). Organizationally, this tour was marginal. At first we were scheduled for a full day tour even though we had booked the half day tour. We came across it by accident during the preliminary communication after several chats and ended up in the right tour. According to booking, we should be picked up at 9 a.m. or up to 45 minutes earlier. The pick up time was at 9:50 a.m. Instead of in maximum 15 participants, there were 25 people in the tour group. The tour lasted 6.5 hours due to the long waiting times, which are also known. The whole thing wouldn't be so bad if you hadn't had to be back on board at a defined time, which was communicated to the tour guide "Gigi" at the beginning of the tour. We were back in cruise port 20 minutes after the official latest boarding time.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and explained a lot to us on the tour about the different sites. He kept us engaged with small conversations and questions along the way

Abu Djabi sight seeing

Had a great sight into the Mosque and Palace. The architecture is beautiful. Zaid our guide has a wealth of knowledge.

Driver never showed up!

Driver never showed up! I arrived on the MSC Europa Cruise Ship. I waited for over two hours in the terminal lobby which is easy to find as the cruise ship is over 1,000 feet long and 21 stories high. It can be seen for miles. I lost all my money and two hours of time. Use a different tour company!

Grand Mosque tour not to be missed

This tour you don't want to miss if you are in Abu Dhabi, lots to learn about the Emirates. Tour guide very informative and looking after everyone in the group.

Great experience

The Grand Mosque and Palace were amazing to see. The information that our tour guide Haseeb gave us was very interesting. Haseeb was friendly & knowledgable and we feel lucky to have him as our guide.

A must do trip

The Grand Mosque and Presidential Palace are very opulent and impressive. There were only four of us on our trip which was brilliant. Our guide was excellent at all times and very knowledgable. Highly recommend doing.

If you havent much time, definitely pick a tour. This was the only day we managed to visit 4 places during our UAE visit

Well organised tour, it's the only day during our 9-day trip that we visited so many places, indeed on a faster than I would prefer pace, but still. At the end of the tour we had the time to visit the Louvre on our own too. So we did 4 things in one day. Otherwise, you could do all those things on your own too, but with the tour will be faster. We barely did 3 things in a day otherwise. We stayed only 2 days in Abu Dhabi, that is way we took it. The second day we went to Yas circuit and Warner Bros theme park. We didn't visit Emirates Palace, maybe that's the other major place to see, and it is quite close to the last attraction...

A wonderful tour of Abu Dhabi's highlights!

Had a great experience on this tour. Adith is a friendly, informative guide who was able to share a lot of information about Abu Dhabi and gave us plenty of time at each location. I recommend this tour as a good way to spend an afternoon and see some of the city's most important locations!

Great guide and fun trip

Our guide was great, she was so knowledgeable and super interactive. She made sure everyone was included, answered any questions we had, and gave us ample time at each stop. Lunch was great as well! Thanks, Sarah for a great day!

Good way to see Abu Dhabi, inside and out!

Well structured tour, with lots of time to go inside main attractions. The presidential palace was stunning, and the view from the Ethiad tower was captivating. The highlight was the mosque. Mohammed was a great guide, and allowed us plenty of time to explore. Never felt rushed! Excellent value and highly recommended.

Unforgettable trip to AEU

Very good itinerary and our tour guide - I qualify is one of the best. He is not only knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but caring and responsible. Seeing that we were not feeling well, we specially rented two wheelchairs so that we could visit the mosque smoothly. He also helped us all take pictures to make precious memories. Booking Viator travel was the right choice for us and will continue in the future

Over the top

Overwhelming magnitude and beauty of both the palace and grand mosque. A nice addition was the trip ti the top of a nearby Hilton hotel for the view from above.

GREAT GUIDE BUT HIS COMPANY MISLEAD US

The reason I didn’t give 5 star is Nto because of our guide. He was very knowledgeable and gave information not usually found in descriptions of the tour. It was his employer who was at fault for misleading us about tour time and number of people on the tour. They said 9 am pickup and less than 17 people. There were 28 of us which was not a problem but was a surprise. Several of us wasted 1 hour going from the NCL port to the MSC port only to have the bus return to the NCL port to pick up additional people. Again, Not our guide’s fault but the tour company you used.

The guide was excelent, he told me more information, than he need officialy to say! He made the tour as a VIP tour.

Unique experience.

The tour was very nice and our guide Zar was really a wonderful guy who knew well his job and gave a lot of explanations to us. Even though we could not visit the Presidential Palace due to an official visit there, the company replaced it with a visit to Louvre Abu Dhabi which was very interesting. We were a small group which mader it much easier to handle it and move around. All in all I would say that it is a must tour people should do while in Abu Dhabi.

Grand Mosque experience

The Mosque was beautiful and breath taking. The chandeliers was gorgeous. It was nice to see the Mosque that is open to all.

Great tour and tour guide! Picked it because included the Presidential Palace which is worth visiting.

Very good but..

The tour itself was good, the places we visited and the organization. The lady who was the guide was also good, but sometimes she seemed a little bit in a rush. We had this rush feeling. Everything was very tight, especially the first visit at Al Watan palace, where we had 35 minutes since we arrived to visit everything, take pics and buy souvenirs. The Etihad Tower was ok and also the Grand Mosque. She was willing to take pics for everyone.

Grandiose

I was awed with the grandeur of Qasr Al Watan. With it's variety of geometrical designs. It reminds me of Alhambra.

An amazing tour!

It was a perfect tour from start to finish. Our tour guide, Adith, was the best ever. He was knowledgeable, friendly and fun to be with. We have been all over the world, but the beauty that we saw today was the most amazing we have ever seen. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Wow!

Too many to mention a spectacular day. A day trip of a lifetime. I took so many wonderful photos too. Our guide Norr was excellent too, thank you Norr.

Must do tour

Was totally amazed and our guide Mohammad was very knowledgeable and friendly. Stopped for lunch and we ate traditional foods even enjoyed Camel meat for the first time. Overall well done and not rushed thanks

Must see to be believed - half day not to be forgotten

It was difficult to decide which wast the most amazing the Grand Mosque or the Presidential Palace but it was made more special by our guide for the day Muhammed Iqbal- who gave us fantastic facts, details and guidance throughout the day. Also excellent in takings photos.

Amazing Abu Dhabi tour

Best of Abu Dhabi in 1 day!

I truly enjoyed this tour of Abu Dhabi. In one day they covered the best areas this city has to offer. First stop is the Mosque, an absolute must see. I honestly wonder why it is not in the modern 7 wonders of the world. Second stop, observation deck at 300. Beautiful view of the best area of Abu Dhabi Third and last stop, Qasr al Watan. This is something really unique in the world. When we were approaching it the guide said he us no words to describe it. I thought he was exaggerating, but no, now that I have seen it too, I agree I would not know how to describe such magnificence. The guide was very kind and approachable. He answered many questions and provided us useful informations

Exceptional, Well Crafted Tour...

In summary, a short crisp tour of Abu Dhabi. Our tour guide, Iqbal, pioneered to make the most of the time we had in hand (Despite a sandstorm on the day and visibility near zero). The flexibility to push Etihad Towers visit to later part of the day to enable good views was much appreciated. The visit to Presidential Palace, with its ornate interiors and white granite and limestone exteriors including a dome atop ‘The Great Hall’ (adorned with exquisite crystal chandeliers) was the jewel of the crown for our tour.

Very pleasing experience

We just finished a private tour of Abu Dhabi with Mr Ziad from OAT.The service was very pleasent right from begining to end.OAT was very helpful in customizing my tour request and was very prompt in contacting me.Mr Ziad our tour guide was very informative and kind to us. He was also very patient with our kids who had tons of questions for him.I would definetly recommend OAT and their tours.

Awesome sights!

We enjoyed our tour very much. Our guide, Mr Haseeb is very knowledgeable, personal, friendly and helpful. He gave a very good and detail coverage of the history of the places we visited. One can sense Haseeb’s pride for UAE and his craft as a guide. His photography and video skill is awesome. He will volunteer to take for each one of us at key photo points. We went away from the trip with not only memorable visual intakes of the Grand Mosque, Presidential Palace etc, but photographs and videos of the places. A trip not to be missed! The places are breath-taking!

Our guide Shakeel was very knowledgable, pleasant and easy going. He gave us plenty of time to take in the atmosphere of the attractions. A lunch break of atleast 15 mins should be included about 12ish at the palace would be great.

Great highlight tour of Abu Dhabi

Great tour to see a lot of the sites in Abu Dhabi. Our guide Imran was great as well as funny. The royal Mosque is truely amazing as is the Presidential Palace and with a view from 300 metre in the Emirates towers the day flew past really quickly. Would highly recommend this tour if you are short of time in Abu Dhabi as you see a lot

Just came away from the tour - Imran from OceanAir is an absolute delight, and nothing was too much trouble. From local gossip over history to practical tips, it was such fun, that it was way past noon the first time I checked my watch!

Nice experience. We had plenty time to see all sightseens, souqs, mosques, etc... Shakil knows a lot about the history of the Arab Emirates, always very detailed in his answers. It is a "must do" tour if you want to learn more about the emirates.
