Abu Dhabi: Morning Desert Safari with Camels and Sandboarding

Lots of ruff and tumble fun

Loved riding over the sand dunes and the boarding down the hill. Great pick up and communication about timing. Shemeer was a great driver and tour guide.

Fun experience

We got to feed some camels, sandboarding, camel riding and and dune bashing. It was very fun. !!! The tour started on time and our guide was very friendly.

Great tour with Biju

A fun, smooth morning trip from Abu Dhabi. Our tour guide Biju was very professional, timely in picking everyone up, and easy to get along with. It's very cool to get to drift on the sand dunes. But def follow instructions to not eat beforehand... even without eating in the morning, I got carsick eventually from the dune bashing (still worth doing once though).

Especially the duna bashing was a lot of fun! Also the driver Shameerka was friendly, nice and we had a great time.

Bijou the best guide

The experience was great, bijou, my guide, was excellent. He was the best possible guide and was really helpful! I would recommend tours with him for sure! There were other guides that were mean, but overall bijou made the experience inolvidable

The trip was awesome! Dune bashing was exciting and fun! our driver Hamsu was very professional and knew how to give a thrilling ride. The camels were cool, and fun to interact with and ride. Definitely worth going!

Desert Extravaganza

Was definitely worth the visit. Would highly recommend if you visit Abu Dhabi. Our Guide Biju was incredibly welcoming and accommodating (he takes great photos as well). If you’ve never been to the desert it’s a incredible experience.

When it goes wrong

When it goes wrong is the real test! Despite me sending them to the wrong hotel!!! - They rearranged within minutes and got us to the site only 15 minutes after originally planned. Great day out friendly helpful drivers and good fun too!

Splendid experience!

Excellent guide. Real fun! Driver very nice and competent in rallying through the dunes. Would recommend early trip due to high temperatures later during the day. Go for it!

An incredible trip and great value for money!!!

This was one of the best trips we have had on our holiday in the UAE! The dune bashing was simply incredible and our driver Yusef was one of the best drivers I have encountered. The track through the dunes was incredibly challenging, Yusef instilled an air of calm in the vehicle while he put the Land Cruiser through its paces at angles I would not have thought possible. A consummate professional!! The sand boarding and camel ride were enjoyable but the dune bashing was something else! This has to be one of the best value for money activities in Abu Dhabi! Five Stars….

Fantastic day for adults and young kids alike

Really enjoyable morning. The majority of the trip is taken up with the dune bashing, which was super fun. Young kids (6 and 3yrs) absolutely loved it, could not stop laughing as we bounced and slid over the dunes. Not uncomfortable - sort of like a rollercoaster - but people who get car sick might find it a bit tricky. Sand boarding really good fun, and also suitable for young kids who feel brave enough. The camel ride is very short, more of a photo op really, but we expected that from the other reviews so were quite satisfied. Our driver was excellent. Constantly checking the kids were ok, offering us water, taking photos for us and helping the little ones in and out of cars etc. Views out in the desert are stunning. Just as you would imagine it. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable trip.

Go for it!

If you’ve never been to the desert before, and have little time in Abu Dhabi, go for it. You’ll have unforgettable memories. Our girls loved it. The activities are great fun (not for the faint-hearted though) the crew are informal, funny, helpful and very flexible. Our driver Kevin C. Was very attentive, told us a lot of facts about the UAE and the main sightseeing spots and dropped us off at a different location. He was the cherry on the tart. Thank you!

Great dessert experience in the morning hours. Highly recommendable!

The tour was perfectly organized. From pick up to the end. The tour guide was very friendly and excellent in doing his job. The tour included all you expect from a dessert tour ranging from jeep driving through the dessert, sand boarding and camel riding.

Day transfer

Short stop over between transfers so thought I’d go on a desert 4x4 tour. Awesome! Roosal our driver/guide was ace. Go for it!

Only if you’ve never been to the desert

I was in desert many times riding camels and etc. We went bc it was the first time for my kid. In general all is ok but camel riding takes only 2 min. Many people were disappointed and me too. I expected as it was before in other countries (nearly 15 min) and in a desert but not near parking. So if you’ve never had such experience you can try. But I don’t recommend it for experienced travellers.

Outstanding Desert Safari 🏜

Munjab was a fantastic tour guide and fabulous photographer. The dune driving was such fun and so exhilarating. Lots of squeals from our jeep. The sandblasting even had a cheeky glimpse of knickers and the camels were hilarious. Overall a brilliant and memorable tour !! 6 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Best adventure in Abu Dhabi

The desert safari is quite a thrill and a must do activity if you love adventure. Our guide Sanu is one of the best you can have. He not only displayed his pro-driving capability but remained engaged with 5 of us in a car to ensure we're ok. The camel ride was the best and my 7yr old kid had best time during his Abu Dhabi tour. Sanu was also very accomodative and managed to bring us back to hotel in time for our other afternoon tour. I highly recommend this trip.

Dune Bashing, sand boarding, and camel riding fun

It was so fun! People are great to work with and kind! Amazing views and experiences! It gets hot so wear sunscreen but water was provided and the cars had AC.

Asis was an amazing tour guide. He went above and beyond to make the tour memorable. The tour guides do an amazing job at taking pictures and videos of you during the trip. It was amazing and I would definitely do it again.

Amazing tour guide and safari journey

Sudhi was my guide today and was amazing. Punctual when picking me up and gave us an amazing time every step along the journey. The safari was well planned out too and even gave us the option of quad biking which was great.

Amazing safari ride

This was a very adventurous safari ride with many things to do. I especially enjoyed the dune bashing as I was sitting in the passenger seat so had the best view

Very fun experience all round

We were guided by Azeez during the whole safari. Easy communication for pickup, safe and skilled driver, checks throughout the dune bashing. It was a very fun experience and certainly worthwhile giving it a try! (Both as solo traveler which I am as well as in group)

One of the highlights of my visit

Has been one of the highlights of my stay in the UAE! The tour started on time and they really followed the highlights on the tour, especially the duration of the dune bashing (side note to really not eat before the tour because it may make some people feel sick). Views were amazing. Our guide Hamza was fantastic. He was accommodating and took the best pictures.

Morning Dessert Safari Tour

Our guide Sudhi provided us clear information on pick up time and was on the dot. During the ride, he constantly checked in on us to make sure that we are feeling fine. Great Experience

A very fun experience, First time in the UAE and I’d never tried any of the things in the activity before so it was a lot ticked off the bucket list!

An amazing experience of the desert and camels! Must try for all visitors.

We were picked up right at our hotel and shared the ride with another couple with a child. Our driver Azeez was excellent at going through the itinerary with us clearly and explaining how we could have a good time. First, he took us to see some camels, we got to touch the camels and see the area where they are kept. Then we went on an extremely fun and thrilling desert safari, where we strapped ourselves in our car seats and then drove through the dunes, up and down, fast and slow. The kids and adults both found it exciting! It was a lot like a roller coaster. After that, we did some sandboarding, fun for all ages! After we went on a short camel ride, which was also fun, but short. We had the option of also adding on quad riding which we did not avail but it would have been really fun to check it out. Definitely a good experience, we highly recommend it.

Hamza was the best driver. He was perfect in time to pick us up and made many photos for us. Hamza drove very carefully and explained us a lot.

Awesome Experience worth your time!

This tour was awesome! Our tour guide Aziz was Excellent. I got a confirmation text advising me what time the tour guide and driver would arrive. Aziz was on time and we drove out to start the tour. We first went to see camels and feed them. Aziz then took us to the dunes and turned on the music and we had a blast driving up and down the dunes, he made it a memorable experience. The skills of his driving made it worth the trip. We had a great time driving all over the dunes. Next he took us sand boarding where we spent some time sand boarding hatch was great. He then made sure all of us had pictures and video of our experiences. We then went to ride the camels which was a blast. I paid a little more and rode the 4 wheelers which was also great. He made sure we all had breaks and drinks. He then took us all back to our hotels. This tour was AWESOME! Aziz made it special and personalized. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a very affordable very fun experience when visiting Abu Dhabi.

Had a great time out on the sand dunes with biju who was our driver, he also talk you through the day and he can take some good photos for you aswell with us always good!! So glad we did this
