01. Kapaleeswarar Temple

This holy place is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Karpagambal. The Dravidian style architecture in the shrine is highly impressive that also includes wood carvings, decorated pillars, stone carvings and Gopuram at the doorway. Here, prayers are done 6 times a day.

Opening Time: 5:30-12:00 pm and 5:00-9:00 PM (Except Monday)

02. Parthasarathy Temple

It is one of the famous temples in Chennai that is dedicated to Lord Krishna. Here, all the avatars of Lord Vishnu are worshipped with a great zeal. Also, the shrine has numerous sculptures, inscriptions, and murals that symbolize the battle of Kurukshetra.

03. Sri Vadapalani Andavar Temple

This temple is also renowned as Vadapalani Murugan Temple and is dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is one of the major attractions of Chennai that is built by Annaswami Nayakar. Here, religious ceremonies and marriages also take place to seek the blessings for good health and prosperity.

04. Kalikambal Temple

This spiritual place is located in the heart of Chennai and is dedicated to Goddess Kamakshi and God Kamateswarar including other devatas as well. According to the sources, the shrine was originally constructed close to the sea shore and later on it was relocated to its present location. The famous Marina beach and other shopping markets are just a mile away from here.

Opening Time: 5:00-12:00 PM and 4:00-9:00 PM.

05. Thirumala Thirupathi Devasthanam Temple

This peaceful place is visited by Lord Balaji’s worshippers. The temple is almost crowded on every day but people get full satisfaction when they do darshan in the temple. The shrine remains closed in the afternoon and is very close to Pondy Bazar.

06. Shree Chandraprabhu Jain Naya Mandir

It is a home to many Jains in Chennai that is dedicated to Chnadraprabhu Swami.
The architecture of the shrine is that of Dilwara Temple of Rajasthan and it is made very beautifully. Head to this temple in Chennai to attain utmost peace.

07. Mangadu Kamakshi Amman Temple

It is a Hindu temple in Mangadu dedicated to Goddess Tapas Kamakshi. There is a big story behind the construction of this temple that you will get to know once visited this place. You will get pooja thali outside the temple that you can buy to worship the Goddess.

08. Arulmigu Ramanatheswarar Temple

It is one of the oldest Hindu temples where Lord Rama found Shiva linga during the search of his wife Sita. It is made in the Chozha temple architectural style that will surely adore you. Visit this place to explore the history behind the temple.

09. Anjaneyaswami Temple

It is must visit temple in Chennai where a 32 feet statue of Anjaneya is worshipped by lots of devotees. People can worship from far away as the statue is so large in size. Head to this spiritual place for a peaceful feeling and positive vibes.

10. Kandha Kottam

This is another exquisite temple of Lord Murugan in Chennai that is sprawled over a large piece of land. Here, Jothi Darshanam is shown every Thursday and Arutperunjothi Agaval is sung by the priests. The temple is mostly crowded on weekends.
