Tourist Visa
- The Applicant’s passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for visa.
- One duly completed and filled visa form (photocopy is allowed).
- One passport-size photograph.
- The application form should be enclosed with a covering letter from the Applicant explaining the purpose of visit. In case of cruise, covering letter from the tourist company and on other hand confirmed hotel booking or a reference in Uruguay on the covering letter.
- The Applicant should give his / her contact details with the E-mail ID.
- Confirmed onward / return air ticket.
- Onward visa (if applicable) and proof of enough funds to survive in the country.
- Photocopy of the Applicants passport and photocopies of Visas previously obtained of any country (including expired visas) should be attached with the application form.
- The Embassy reserves a right to ask for additional documents or to appear for a personal interview depending on the case.
- Visa holders should enter Uruguay within 60 days after the issuance of visa; otherwise the visa will be null and void.
- All visa applications are referred to Uruguay for approval and take about 14 days approx.
- After the visa approval comes, it can be stamped in one or two working days on the passport.
- Visa is issued free of charge.
Tourist Visa
Business Visa
- The Applicant’s passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for visa.
- One duly completed and filled visa form (photocopy is allowed).
- One passport-size photograph.
- Application should be enclosed with a covering letter from the Indian company.
- A letter of invitation from the business company in Uruguay.
- The Applicant must mention his / her contact details with the E-mail ID.
- Applicants should mention the referenced details of the business proposal or project.
- The copy of Company Registration Certificate of the company in India should be enclosed with application form.
- The visa application form should be enclosed with a Letter from the Chamber of Commerce or equivalent letter (from India).
- Confirmed onward/ return air ticket.
- Proof of funds as bank statement for past three months and income tax returns for last three years.
- Photocopy of the Applicants passport and photocopies of Visas formerly obtained of any country (including expired visas) should be attached with the visa application form.
- Visa holders should enter Uruguay within 60 days after the issuance of visa; otherwise the visa will be null and void.
- All visa applications are referred to Uruguay for approval and take about 7 to 10 working days approx.

Business Visa
Transit Visa
Applicants' doesn't need Transit Visa if they are continuing the journey by the same, or first connecting aircraft within 24 hrs, without leaving the airport and having a confirmed air ticket to the onward destination.

Seamen Visa
- The Applicant’s passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for visa.
- One duly completed and filled visa form (photocopy is allowed).
- One passport-size photograph.
- The visa application should be enclosed with a covering letter from the Shipping Company in India.
- Indian seamen traveling on duty must carry the Letter of Guarantee from the shipping company and complete seamen documents.
- A letter of invitation from the shipping company should also be attached with the application form.
- Copy of Company Registration Certificate of the company in India.
- Application form should be submitted along with a Recommendation letter from Chamber of Commerce or equivalent for company's authenticity recommending travel.
- Confirmed onward/ return air ticket.
- Onward country visa (if applicable).
- All visa applications are referred to Uruguay for approval and take about 7 to 10 working days approx.
- Visa remains valid for 90 days from the date of issue and stay is granted on arrival at Uruguay airport as per Applicants’ request.
- After the visa approval comes, it can be stamped in one or two working days on the passport.
- Visa is issued free of charge.
Seamen Visa
