Tourist Visa
- The Applicant must hold a valid passport (with photocopy of the identification pages).
- The Visa form should be filled online on the website: //www.rop.gov.om and the print out should be enclosed with the documents.
- One physical visa form which would be completed at the Embassy.
- Two latest passport-size photographs.
- The visa application form should be submitted along with a Covering Letter from the Applicant, mentioning the reason of travel.
- If in case, the Applicant is visiting family or relatives a Letter of Invitation from the Host is required.
- Confirmed onward / return air ticket.
- Documentary proof of Hotel Confirmation from Muscat.
- All visa applications are referred to Oman and the approval can take from 4 to 5 working days.

Business Visa
It is to be noted that the Sponsor in Oman needs apply for the visa clearance to the Immigration Department by submitting a photocopy of the passport and four passport-size photographs of the Applicant. This clearance will be sent directly to the Applicant and needs to be carried by him / her. Visa is stamped on the passport at the point of entry in Oman.
Otherwise, the Applicant may also apply to the Embassy directly by following the below mentioned guidelines and fulfilling the requirements:
- The Applicant must hold a valid passport (with photocopy of the identification pages).
- The Visa form should be filled online on the website: //www.rop.gov.om and the print out should be enclosed with the documents.
- One physical visa form which would be completed at the Embassy.
- Two latest passport-size photographs.
- The application form should be enclosed with a Covering Letter from the Indian Company, giving the purpose of the visit.
- A Letter of Invitation from the Business Associate / s in Oman with application form.
- Applications are referred to Oman and approval can take from 4 to 5 working days.
- Visa application form should be Letter from Chamber of Commerce.
- Documentary proof of Hotel confirmation.
- Once issued, the visa is valid for 3 weeks with a maximum permitted stay of 3 weeks as well.
- The visa processing time can take up to 7 days or more.
- Applicant’s presence is compulsory.

Transit Visa
- Oman doesn't issue transit visa.
Seamen Visa
- Visa is not required only if the Shipping Agent in Oman submits a Letter of Guarantee to the Immigration Authorities, prior to the arrival of the Seamen.
Work Permit Visa
- Applicant should submit the Work Experience Certificates with the visa application form.
- Medical Certificate from doctor authorized by the Embassy.
- The above documents must be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Embassy in India before sending them to the Sponsor in Oman.
- The Sponsor in Oman should apply to the Immigration Department in Oman, with the above documents and all Educational Certificates of the Applicant.
- If approved, the original visa clearance (NOC) is sent directly to the Passenger / applicant. He / she can travel with it and the visa will be stamped on arrival.
