Tourist Visa

If you have more than 20 Visa Applications then take an appointment with VFS prior to submit them.

Original passport having at least 6 months of validity with minimum 2 blank visa pages, a photocopy of the passport's data page and the photo page. For multiple-visa application, the validity of the passports should be more than the validity of visa plus the duration of stay. For example, if applying for a visa with 6 months validity, multiple entries, and 30 days of each stay, then validity of the passport should be minimum 7 months.

One complete Visa Application Form. Fill an Online Application Form from the linkhttp://www.visaforchina.org/DEL_EN/System/270963.shtml, print it out and sign it. In case, if the applicant is a person is having limited capacity for civil conduct, it should be signed by his / her guardian on his / her behalf. If the form is filled by any reliable travel / visa agent, the applicant's signature and the stamp of the agent are essential.

One recent colored passport size photo (48 x 33 mm) (no cap or glass) against a plain background.

A cover letter from the applicant stating his reason to visit along with his name, contact number and address

A certification from applicant’s current company with his income statement 

Original copy of recent 6-months bank statement of the applicant

Ordinary passport holders have to submit applications to the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre (CVASC)

The applicant from a third country has to provide a valid Indian visa or valid Residence Permit in India along with its copy. If the applicant from a third country is living in India with a short-term visa, a note (with details like his name, passport number, occupation, purpose to visit China & duration of stay) by the Embassy or Consulate-General of his own country is asked.

Proof of a hotel reservation or a letter of invitation for tourists issued by a relevant entity or individual in China

If applicant repetitively applies for tourist visa to China, the following information will be asked in the personal statement: reasons to revisit, the places that the applicant wants to visit and already visited before.

If the applicants travel to China on a group basis, a letter should be issued by the travel agency.

The letter of invitation may be in the form of fax, photocopy or computer printout, but the consular officer may ask the applicant for submitting the original of the invitation letter. Invitation letter issuer from China should also provide a copy of his/her Chinese ID.

A personal interview with the applicant may be asked by a consular officer and only he can decide on the issue of the visa and its validity 

Its processing time can take 4 working days

Urgent visa can be processed within 2 working days

Visa fees and Service fee has to be paid when collecting the passport from VFS Center.

This Visa is issued to those who are invited for commercial and trade activities.

Child from Chinese descent born either in China or in India applying for a Chinese visa for the first time has to produce a Birth Certificate with his / her parents' names on it. Also submit the original certificate for denial of Chinese nationality and its copy, and the statement written by his / her parents or guardian is required.

Transit Visa

This Visa is issued to those who are going through China to another country

Seamen Visa

X1 Visa is issued to those who have to study in China for more than 180 days.

X2 Visa is issued to those who have to study in China for up to 180 days.
