• Applicant must possess a passport valid for at least six months.
• Passport in original (along with photocopy of the first and last page of the same)
• Two visa forms (back to back photocopy allowed)
• Two passport-size photographs are needed
• The applicant should give a covering letter mentioning all details including residing address in Bangladesh (with Hotel Confirmation)
• In case the applicant is getting any kind of sponsorship then foreign exchange endorsement of at least US $50 is required. The sponsorship must be on more than a 10 Taka stamp paper and must be countersigned by a first class magistrate in Bangladesh.
• All documents and addresses must be mark with the passport
• Visa is valid for 30 days with a maximum stay of 30 days allowed.
• The time period of visa processing will take 2 to 3 working days
• Visa will be offered free of charge.

• Applicant will need to submit a covering letter on behalf of his company.
• The Original letter of Invitation from the concerned Company in Bangladesh or it should be faxed directly to the High Commission. However, a copy should be attached with the visa documents. The fax invitation copy should have the fax number on top of the page OR Original invitation is required as it is a mandatory requirement for applying Business visa.
• Applicant will need to get a recommendation letter from the Indian Chamber of Commerce.
• If in any case, an invitation is sent by the Government of Bangladesh for a business approval, joint venture projects or seminars directly to the High Commission, the traveler will be exempted from the requirement of foreign exchange endorsement on his/her passport.
• A visa of six months' stay can be issued if the visiting Indian National has a joint venture or is a foreign investment participant in Bangladesh.
• Multiple entry visas are issued to bona-fide businessmen on the recommendation of the Ministry of Industries or Board of Investment, BEPZA (Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority) Dhaka and Chittagong. Multiple entry visas are usually issued for a period of five years.
• There is no visa fee
• Note: In order to apply for the multiple entry visas, the sponsoring company in Bangladesh should contact the following offices for the Recommendation letter.
• Board of Investment.
• Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority.
• Bangladesh Garments Manufacture Export Association.
• The visa will be given as per the Recommendation Letter issued for Single / Multiple Entry and for the validity declared on it

Bangladesh does not issue transit visa.

• Indian seamen traveling on duty should hold a letter of guarantee from the Shipping Company with Seamen book / Passport.
• A message / fax from the Shipping Company in Bangladesh to the High Commission should be sent, mentioning particulars of the Seamen, the date and port of joining the ship.
• Income Tax Return documents of the last 3 years.
• Updated Personal Bank statements of the last 6 months.
• The processing time will be 2 to 3 working days.
• Visa will be offered free of charge

• A copy of the agreement between both the parties (applicant and company).
• The sponsor person or company in Bangladesh need to apply for Work Permit in Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangladesh and subsequent visa can be applied with a copy of the approval

• The applicant will get an entry visa (valid for one month will be issued), however the period of stay will be specified at the time of entry into Bangladesh.
• Applicant's personal presence may be needed (to complete the formalities).
