The Ushuaia Adventure Corporation is an elite ship owner which owns the vessel Ushuaia; nevertheless it is chartered to Antarpply Expeditions. Antarpply Expeditions are a leading operator of small ship expedition cruises to Antarctica as well as the sub-Antarctic islands. The cruise line is based in Ushuaia and specializes in taking small groups and individual passengers to some of the most scenic, remote and unexplored parts of the world on board the USHUAIA.

Most of the Antarctic passenger vessels can carry over 100 passengers, however with Tucan's maximum group size of 66, you'll get more time to spend with snow underneath your boots and less time waiting in line for your turn to touch the wilderness (the International Association of Antarctic Tour Operators state a maximum of 100 people are allowed on shore at any time). Moreover, the quicker cruising speed of the "Ushuaia" means that they generally complete the crossing of the Drake Passage by the morning of day 3 (rather than the evening as on most voyages) providing almost a full extra day in the Antarctic.
The main dining room is the large area where the whole group can eat together in single sitting. Every day, three meals are served at the tables or else, occasionally as a 'help yourself' style smorgasbord.

The meals served onboard usually consist of an American breakfast with a three course lunch and dinner. A typical menu will include soup and a chicken or fish main course.

Vegetarians can also be catered if requested the same at the time of booking. The "Ushuaia" also has a BBQ on one of its most spacious decks and the crew will certainly try to serve at least one BBQ meal during the cruise. Water is purified onboard and together with tea and coffee, is supplied free of cost 24 hours a day.
