We had a great time discovering delicious street food, bustling markets, learning how to use public transportation and meeting fellow travelers..with a really wonderful guide Wolfie. A terrific experience!

Food Tour

Maria Elena was a wonderful guide. On her tour were several stops each offering wonderful local tastes. Whatever you do, skip breakfast and especially enjoy the goulash.

A FANTASTIC WAY TO SEE VIENNA!!

Such a pleasant surprise!!! Our guide, Maria, was EXCELLENT!!! We had a group of 10 (all family) and she was so good and knowledgeable. We had a GREAT tour! We toured the 10th District and the largest food market (the amount of fresh food available was quite impressive), had a bite to eat and a spritzer at a local's favorite hangout, then proceeded to the highlight of the trip...Thomas...and his goulash, horse radish, sausage, and cold beer! We then had our main lunch at a fine restaurant and finished it off with a wonderful coffee! The whole family thoroughly enjoyed it...I would highly recommend.

The best of local food in Vienna

What a great day! Wolfy took us to places that are favorites of the locals and only they would know about. The food was amazing and the people were fantastic. Don’t miss this one if you have time to explore Vienna!

Come Hungry!

Had a fantastic time with Christoph on this tour. We went to 5 different places and had such a wide variety of sweet and savory meals. We were stuffed by the end of the tour and well into the evening. Definitely bring your appetite!

Excellent experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time on this tour. Maria was an excellent host - full of interesting info, with a very pleasant manner - she took us to a wide variety of authentic Vienna eateries - delicious food and nice company with the others on the tour. Tip: arrive as hungry as you can!

Highly recommend

This is one of the best food tours my husband and I have ever been on. Our guide, Marianne, was lovely and informative, and we really enjoyed all of the stops on the tour. We especially enjoyed the trip to the Viktor-Adler Markt in the 10th district, and the visit to the other market with the food truck selling the sausage and goulash. We also appreciated that Marianne sent us photos of the tour, and recommendations for restaurants and coffee-houses after the tour was over. As other reviewers have said, there is a lot of food - don't eat before the tour and pace yourself!

The day was well coordinated by our guide, Maria, who is from Italy but knows Austria very well! Food was great and the history was very enlightening. The cafes and vendors who we visited knew her well and treated us so nice. Very laid back, not rushed at all. And the public market in District 10..... like you see in the movies! Fantastic! Would highly recommend.

Best tour ever - do not miss this

My wife and I are going to miss Peter, our tour guide, more than missing Vienna. On top of a delicious food tour, Peter gave us a city tour and provided alot of information about the city history and culture. Peter created the personal bond minutes after meeting us and led us into the best experience we could possibly imagine. We highly recommend this.

An amazing and informative food tour that should NOT be missed on your visit to Vienna.

My wife and I are fortunate to travel a great deal and almost always book a food tour on day 1 or 2 of visiting a new place. This food tour was one of the best. Our guide, Peter, was extraordinary. The tour was intended to be from 9:30AM-2:30PM , but Peter asked if anyone had a hard stop first thing in the morning as he warned we might go later than 2:30. He wanted to not only give us a fabulous food experience, which it was, but also to share the history of Vienna. His knowledge of the city and country was amazing and the tour flew by. If you are wondering what tour to take, stop wondering and join Peter for one of the best tours of your life. Oh and BTW the food was spectacular, local and plentiful.

Lots of food and fun!

Had an amazing time traveling through different spots in Vienna and trying great food! Maria was an awesome tour guide and offered great recommendations and advice on how to maximize the rest of our stay in Vienna. Highly recommend!

Excellent way to orientate yourself to the city. And lots of food!

Highly recommend. We had Peter who was lovely and there was nothing he didn’t know about Vienna. He was a very knowledgeable man and his love for the city is clear to see. We got to know a little bit about him over the space of the tour and we learnt a lot about Viennese history. I have done one walking food tour before, in Budapest, so I knew I’d enjoy it but this one was even better, especially as we opted for the private tour so we could ask all the questions we wanted. We had to cancel our dinner reservations as were too full by the end! Recommend doing this the on the first full morning of your holiday because you really get a feel for the city once you’ve done it. We travelled by tram and underground as well as on foot of course. Don’t hesitate to book, I’m so glad we did, it was one of the highlights of our long weekend.

What a fun experience! Wolfy was a great guide, knowledgeable, friendly and took us to some great spots. The group were also great. Really delicious food & drinks…so many standouts…melange coffee, schnitzel, hazelnut ice cream and my favourite a great food market with truly amazing goulash, pork belly & sausages…who knew grated horseradish could be so tasty too!

What a Food Tour Should be!

We love food tours, but this was the best we’ve experienced in our years of traveling. Maria was a terrific guide sharing her passion for and knowledge of the many gastronomical gems to find in Vienna. The amount of food and the variations that we got to sample was amazing. We used public transportation and went to several districts somewhat off the beaten track. We loved that most about this tour. Instead of going to typical tourist trap locations we sampled and dined in areas where we were the only tourists in sight. A special shout-out to Thomas in his 16th district food cart (Würstelstand Vienna). He was exuberant and proud of the many dishes he prepared for us. This is a tour well-done and a fabulous way to spend a day in Vienna absorbing the food culture and more!

A must do on your 1st day in Vienna!

Great food tour with Christoph - absolutely highly recommend it, especially on your first day in Vienna. Just be aware: lots of food!!! Don't eat breakfast before this tour, you will be fed plenty. One thing that we liked besides the great food was that we got to learn how to use the public transportation system. In order to visit the many unique restaurants we had to use the subway, surface train, and the bus - we really appreciate the fact that the guide showed us and explained to us how things work. 5 stars all the way!!

This tour exceeded all my expectations! The variety of neighborhoods, the efficiency with which we were whisked around the city, the delights of both high and 'low' cuisines, the wonderful unique flavor combinations, and the charm and knowledge of our guid3 Chistophe, were the perfect Viennese melange!

Great Experience!

Our guide Christoph was wonderful! He was so full of knowledge on all aspects of Viennese culture. We ate sooo much food, but it was hard to turn anything down because it was all so good. Definitely recommend this tour for any type of group.

Breakfast, Dinner and Tea Viennese style

A delightful day out! Maria was a friendly and knowledgeable guide to the districts of Vienna, and the food was wonderful. A special mention to Thomas, who entertained us to delicious goulash (own recipe), and sausages, all washed down with local beer. I can't believe how much we ate, but somehow we found room for it.

Maria was great! The tour was delicious and entertaining. Loved visiting the markets and learning about all the different kinds of food in Vienna. Also loved using the public transport and also learning about the other people on our tour!

A brilliant way to spend a day in Vienna

A lovely day spent around different parts of Vienna tasting the local dishes. Maria was an excellent guide nothing was to much trouble for her. She took us for street food as well as restaurant. All were lovely couldn’t pick a favourite. Although Thomas stood out as the most passionate about the food he was serving

Best tour in Vienna.

The guide Maria was fabulous. She took us to places the locals go. We saw places we would never have found like the market in the tenth district. The street vendor who served us Vienna Goulash which was so tasty and three other dishes. He was a character. He could have had his own cooking show. He loved what he did and shared his culinary talents with zeal. This tour with Maria was by far, our favorite experience in Vienna.

Great experience

If you only do one thing when you come to Vienna, I couldn’t recommend this tour more. Christoph, our tour guide, was knowledgeable, entertaining, and answered any question big or small. DO NOT eat breakfast before coming on the tour, you will be more than well fed. 10/10.

Great Introduction to Viennese food.

Maria was a fabulous tour guide. We had Viennese coffee to begin the day and headed off into different districts to try out the local fare at a pub, food vendor, bakery and restaurant. It was a great introduction to the city of Vienna, the culture and food culture. Maria was delightful, gracious and knowledgeable.

Taste and sip Vienna!

Such a wonderful evening! Wolfgang showed us his Vienna and I cannot recommend this enough! We had an amazing tour with Wolfy. Charcuterie boards, wine, best dessert in all Vienna, more food and fancy cocktails in a really hip bar. Wolfy shared his love for his city and showed us how to see Vienna from a locals perspective. Book this tour, you will not be disappointed!

Great experience

Maria was our guide on a cool, rainy day. Don’t let that stop you, as you’re not in the elements much. She was a wonderful guide. Knowledgeable about the city and the food. Come to this tour hungry & plan on walking it off afterwards because you’ll be stuffed. It was a great experience for our family. Would definitely recommend taking this tour, even if you’re not a foodie.

Awesome food tour and cultural experience

This four tour was awesome …………lead by a Viennese citizen so very authentic. Lots of food , history , and cultural enlightenment. Our family of 4 throughly enjoyed it and every bit of the food and drink was awesome !

Best food tour in Vienna!!!

We have been on several food tours in several cities worldwide - this was simply the best! Lots of food, plenty to drink and even several laughs! Chrisoff was a terrific guide…he was very friendly and very accommodating to help meet the groups dietary limits/issues! The bonus of the day was to get a better understanding of the cities layout and how to maneuver around the city! Thank you Wolfy and Christoff for great and amazing day! My last piece of advice - come hungry!!! 😉

The guide can make the tour a home run and Maria hit it out of the park! Wonderful breadth of food and location experiences, just the right amount of time at each. Knowledgeable and helpful on topics other than the tour, just an enjoyable experience all around. Highly recommend if you're thinking about a food tour.

Great food tour

Very good food tour with our guide Christoph who explained about the Viennese history as well as the food. You will be taken to places where the locals go both inside the central area and outside. Highlights were the schnitzel, ice cream at Tichy’s, and save room for the tasty goulash at the last stop at the food market. Do go hungry and even then you will be full at the end. A very enjoyable food your. They were able to cater for the one vegetarian in our group.

Taste of Vienna

We had an absolutely amazing time with Wolfy's Adventures. We visited Vienna for the first time and booked a food tour with Wolfy's as they came highly recommended and I can see why. Whatever you do, DO NOT eat before you go on this tour! Christophe was our guide and he was brilliant. He was friendly, informative and more than eager to answer questions you had about Vienna and Viennese culture. He led us from a Viennese breakfast to pre-lunch to dessert to lunch and drinks and street food. The Kaiserschmarrn is now a particular favourite of mine. 😍 Also particular shout out to Thomas for making sure we ended the tour on a high. I can honestly say that you will not regret booking this tour, especially if you are lucky enough to have Christophe as your guide. I cannot recommend this enough! Thank you for giving us a taste of Vienna.

Absolutely recommend. We loved the food, sightseeing, and that the groups remained small and intimate. Christoph made the tour what it was. He was an incredible guide - knowledgeable, entertaining, and gave us information outside of the food realm.

Exceptionally well run tour

We have gone on food tours in Paris and Madrid. This one in Vienna tops those by a landslide. It wasn't particularly the food that was better. It was the different areas that we traveled to that allowed us to experience food and culture from various districts. Christoph was an excellent guide who entertained us with stories, history, and taught us about the food and navigating the city. Highly recommended.

Wonderful tour with delicious food

We had a wonderful food tour with Peter. The food was so delicious. Our favorite food was apple strudel, poppy seed/raspberry and hazelnut/apricot ice cream, and paprika sausage. In addition, spicy mixed horse meat and pork was also delicious (even it sounds strange). Peter took us different parts of Vienna, out of the tourist areas. Peter also gave us history of Vienna and explained how the locals lived. It was a balance between walking and stops during 5-hour tour. We took pubic transportation, which was very convenient and brought us straight to where we wanted to go. I really enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the open market. We took lots of pictures. We will definitely have Peter again if we are back to Vienna.

Maria was an excellent guide and was very informative and friendly. We ate delicious food (including doughnuts with apricot filling, goulash and tafelspitz) and went to areas that we otherwise wouldn't have known about. It was a great way to spend the morning.
