Great day trip!!!

It was a very nice day trip with Mr. D who came on time to our hotel to pick us up and greeted us with a friendly big smile. Although the weather was not the best that day but reasonable, and the trip went very smoothly. Mr. D was very considerate with time and the crowd that he tried his best for us to enjoy each site with less people and enough time. It was a very tight schedule due to visiting 3 major tourist towns in a day, but we managed to enjoy enough in each town even with the limited time frame. I think Mr. D gave us little extra time at Salzburg :) Mr. D's driving skill was very good that we all feel so comfortable as well. I suggest to spend more time at Hallstatt if you like scenery. This is such a beautiful town. This day trip is the must if you have less time but want to see all those 3 beautiful towns and I highly recommend Mr. D as your travel guide and a driver. Thank you Mr. D for the wonderful trip!

Memories to cherish

An amazing tour with gorgeous sightseeings. Breathtaking lakes beautifully bedded in the middle of high mountains, grasslands and forest. Special shout-out to our driver Darko who kept us entertained during long drives through the destinations and shared valuable key information needed for such a dense tour. I felt totally safe with his driving; very caring and patient with our kids. I would definitely return to Salzburg for couple more days; beautiful city deserving thorough exploring.

Great too but makes for a pretty long day..

We enjoyed this tour but it is too much to do in one day. Milk, and Hallstatt stops were wonderful but traveling on to Salzburg was too much given buy the time you spent just a few hours their it was along drive back to Vienna arriving late in the night. So my recommendation is to do Salzburg overnight.

Excellent Trip experience with Darko - our tour guide

The trip experience was really excellent specially because of our trip guide Darko. It is because of him we enjoyed the trip more. His hospitality, knowledge and experience was definitely praise worthy. We booked the trip before reaching Vienna. We on our way to hotel took another van and went around Vienna in that and was offered lower price than the price we booked for the trip next day to Melk, Hallstat and Salzburg. But we took the trip that we booked earlier with higher price only with a thought that we will get proper guidance of our trip and Darko didn't deserted us. We found more worthy to have a person like Darko in our trip rather than the price.

Beautiful Trip To The Mountains, Lakes, and Smaller Towns of Austria

My mom and I loved our trip with Davor. "D" was very knowledgable, personable, and friendly. The itinerary was well thought out, and D gave us many helpful tips and frequently pointed out sights along the way. The trip added so much depth to our visit to Austria, which we would not have had staying in Vienna the whole time. Hallstatt was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed looking at the mountains, lake, and town there. We rode the cable car to a skywalk viewpoint and ate at a comfortable restaurant at the top. We hiked back down the mountain, which was a very memorable experience. In Salzburg, we saw the sights from the Sound of Music and wandered through the small, interwoven streets, visiting shops and the cathedral. The abbey in Melk was beautiful and a wonderful start to our day. Thank you D for taking us on this adventure!

Great day trip from...

Great day trip from Vienna to get a sense of the Austrian countryside and of course beautiful Salzburg. Easy pickup at hotel. Safe, courteous driver provided a little information about each stop - and then allowed plenty of time to explore.

Sisters in Salzburg

We had a phenomenal time with Darko. We made a sisters trip to Salzburg with a few stops in between that was customizable. Darko showed us a place for local desserts at Melk and satiated our appetite for anything related to “The Sound of Music”!

Great Tour- Great Guide!

The skywalk at Hallstatt. The lakes around Salzburg and the terrific views at each. Our guide was Darko and he was fantastic. His insights were from his experiences as a tourist. If you go you must ask for him as your guide. Made the entire experience more memorable.

Hallstatt and Salzburg from Vienna.

Our driver, Darco, was outstanding. He was early for pickup, and made sure we saw everything we had planned. We visited the Melk Abbey, Hallstatt, and Salzburg. Hallstatt was absolutely enchanting. If I were to do it again I would bypass the abbey and spend more time in Hallstatt and Salzburg. Our driver was great about stopping for photos and restroom breaks. We were a group of 6 and when he dropped us off we felt like we had made a friend.

Funn day in real Austria

Me and my friends took this trip becous it is one off best rated in Viator. It was a quick decision but worth ever penny. Drive D great guy funny and knowledgeable now what is doing. The places we sow amazing , especially Hallsttat the lakes mountains and all around natural beauty ( AMAZING ) . Salzburg also great and completely different from Vienna . Recommend this trip to every that want to see moor off reall Austria and have just a day for it . Definitely worth it Big thanks to our friend D 👋

Absolute MUST day trip!!

Amazing day trip to Hallstatt and Salzburg! Our family really enjoyed this day trip. The scenary was absolutely beautiful! Hallstatt is everything we expected and better. Salzburg and all the sights like Mirabell Gardens and the old town with all its shops. Cafes and Restaurants was perfect! Our driver Romano was very prompt, informative and flexible. He made our trip very enjoyable! Thank you Romano and your team! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Day Trip with Darko (7 May 24)

Superb tour with Darko as our guide / driver. Throughout the journey, he was very engaging and accommodating to all of us. Been to many day tours and this is by far the best tour I’ve ever had :). Strongly recommend anyone in the private day tour to request Darko as their guide! Would rate this tour 10/10 💪🏻

Amazing! A must tour if you're in Austria.

I knew it was going to be a spectacular day but Melk/Hallstatt and Salzburg DID NOT disappoint. First of all Romano - made this tour so much more enjoyable and informative. He was punctual. The car was top notch and his driving seamless. His knowledge of everything we asked of him was spot on and then some. There's a lot of history to cover but he covered enough to make this tour so enjoyable and informative without bombarding us with too much info. It's a long day but honestly we got to see so much. The church at Melk is breathtaking. The views fr the Hallstatt skywalk again breathtaking. And of course we could have spent more than 3 hours in Salzburg but we truly enjoyed our lunch and walk around the town.

An Unforgettable Experience with an Unforgettable Tour Aficionado

The most memorable part of this trip will always be Darko. From the moment he picked us up from our hotel at precisely 7:30 am, we knew were in professional hands. He had planned out the perfect day for us and kept us on schedule so that we could see and experience the best of Melk, Hallstatt and Salzburg, along with some additional stops of interest. He was very knowledgeable and shared his expertise with us generously. He had a relaxed way of communication and filled us with so many interesting stories. There can be no denying that our stops were beautiful, and although we travelled in his comfortable van for a number of hours, Darko made the time fly by. The following day, Darko also followed up on a number of questions we had, going above and beyond the call of duty. He will be forever welcomed in my home, should he and his family ever come my way.

Reasonable & memorable way to see Austria’s best

Had a wonderful day with Ivan to the countryside. Ivan was great in giving us time to look around and flexible with our schedule. The time in Hallstadd was the BEST! It’s such a beautiful town. I would say right after you do the sky walk, head down to old town and get your meal/coffee by the beautiful lake. Melk is okay. Salzberg is cute and small enough to get lost in and have fun. But definitely Hallstatt and the surrounding area is breathtaking. This is a great tour company to take! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful day, perfect timing and organisation. Romano is a fantastic driver and knows all the history of locations we visited. Really friendly and helpful as well as keen to stop in the best views. The three stops are wonderful, worth the time in the van. Van really comfortable.would totally recommend

Just ok

Car was kind of run down, driver pleased us on going to only Hallstätter and Salzburg, but, no tour no nothing, he answered to us any questions we had, told us where to go, nothing more, we basically paid for a driver, that was it!

Best scenery ever

Wooow! Not even in my wildest dreams could i have dreamed of such beauty. All three places were amazing, but Hallstatt... out of this world. Just wooow! Great and informative guide, big mercedes van for whole family. We stopped on few different places, for a few shots. Every olace better then previous. Im so happy i have done and saw something like this. Definitely worth every cent.

Amazing beautiful tour!

Darko was the BEST driver ever! He stopped at places that were sooo beautiful for us to take pics besides what was on the planned tour visits! We really enjoyed his enthusiasm and friendliness! He really accomodated our needs with 2 elders walking alow and frequest stops for bathroom breaks! My hubby was happy to hear that Darko was a huge fan of the Houston Texans!! The view from the walkway at Hallstat was amazing. I loved that I was able to visit where one scene from The Sound of Music was filmed!

Gorgeous views

Super nice day, great places to visit. Melk abbey was real surprise for us, but hallstatt and all other stops on way were gorgeous. Driver was knowledgeable and informative, gave us all possible tipps how to spend day in tour and back in vienna as well. All together, i will recommend everyone to take this tour.

Birthday present

Amazing birthday day surprise. My husband pick this trip because we are huge sound of music fans. But seeing Hallstatt was even more amazing. Such a beautiful place. Even our driver gave us a chocolate present. Thank you a lot. A lot of picturesque places on trip. Gilgen was beautiful as well. Definitely worth doing again.

Perfect Austria day

Perfect Austria day , long beautiful day , great scenic drive in comfortable mercedes car .all 3 pleaces are beautiful and have ther own charm but Hallstatt was magical place we all fall in love. Trip is greatly organized and enough tieme to see everything on your own pace . Will definitely come back

Safe and comfortable journey to Hallstatt and Salzburg

Ivan was great driver, we had a safe and comfortable journey to Hallstatt and Salzburg, he advised about the time we should spend in order to see everything we wanted within the 13 hours, and that worked great! He even stopped to a spot for photos that was not on plan, but was a “must see” place. Thanks Ivan from Cyprus and Ukraine! :)

Great day trip to the true Austria

We had such a fantastic day. Davor was the perfect guide, pointing out significant sights and entertaining us with his stories and his humor. The skywalk in Hallstatt is a must. Would definitely recommend if you are in Vienna and only have one day to get to the mountains.

Indeed a Grand tour!

Was a very pleasant experience. Romano was very friendly and kind. He also as per our request stopped enroute for us to get coffee and again to take pictures nearby. It’s good for those who’d like to cover all 3 places in short time. If you have time it would be good to do in over two days because every stop is very beautiful and you just feel like staying there and enjoying the views. The car was very clean and drive was super smooth!

We had a great day in Hallstatt, magical place on the lake , amazing and highlight off the trip. Salzburg beautiful old town great food ansmal local shops. Our driver D was very helpful and did our day great , also very funny person , thank you D and definitely a recommendation for this trip

A Truly Special Birthday Tour!

Romano was our tour guide. He arrived promptly at our hotel in a Mercedes 7 seater vehicle. It was clean, comfortable and we were also provided bottles of water for the journey. Romano was extremely knowledgeable about Vienna and all the places on our tour and told us about the history and significance of each in turn. He also knew lots about Austria and the surrounding countries. He made the journey enjoyable and time passed quickly. We were allowed time on our own at each place. Halstatt was definitely a highlight and we would not have visited had it not been on the tour. It was a beautiful and picturesque village where we were given 1.5hrs. Unfortunately we were unable to take the Skywalk as there were unprecedented numbers of guests at Easter. However a walk through the village to a panoramic view point was equally satisfying! We had over 3hrs in Salzburg and managed to complete most of the highlights. If your aim is to see all the Sound of Music sights I would suggest a different tour focussing on this. However this tour allowed us time to see Mirabelle Palace Gardens, the Nonnberg Monastery, Salzburg cathedral and walk down the central street of shops. We were out from 0730 until 2130. The tour was a really great and convenient way to see all these places in 1 day, during our short city break in Vienna! Romano made my birthday a very memorable and special one! Thank you so much! We would highly recommend this tour!

Customized day tour of three Austrian centres

Our driver Ivan was very informative and attended to our customized needs. The only thing that I wished we knew about earlier was that I didn't know the Fortress Hohensalzburg on top of the hill could be toured. If I had known that, I would have asked for our driver to drive us up there and find the best way of getting a tour inside. Also, I would have preferred to have been dropped off at the Hotel Sacher (closer to old town Salzburg) instead of parking and walking about 1/2 mile. Again, I didn't know that. Other than that, the Melk and Halstatt guidance was excellent.

Fun day!

What an amazing day!!! It was a long day, but totally worth i!! Ivan our driver was pleasant and a safe driver. The things we got to see were breath taking. I would totally recommend this tour.

Not worth the money tour.

We did not have a guide, we had a driver. Good respectful driver with very little knowledge. Asked questions and did not know a lot of answers. Drop us off at different locations pointing where are different places to visit.

Fun day with D

D our driver was fantastic. My wife and we’re so glad we did this outing in short amount of time in Austria. We saw so much in a day. Highly recommend if you’re short on time and trying to cover a lot of ground. D if you ever come to Kentucky we will be the tour guides on the bourbon trail.

Best day in vienna

What a wonderful day, our guide Romano made sure we have enough time in every stop. We started off on time at our hotel then to Melk. The car is very comfortable and we had great time visiting all spots in the itinerary. Highly recommend this trip for couples or small family.

Incredible cities equally matched with our tour guide!

We had the best day trip with Our guide Romero. He was very accommodating to my elderly parents and gracious with sharing his knowledge and with time. We went to Meltz, Hallstatt and Salzburg. Drop off points were easy to access and we felt safe with his driving through mountains. Highly recommend!

A relaxed day of visiting 3 beautiful sites

This is a beautiful and comprehensive day trip of 3 wonderful sites. Everything was timed to perfection so you get the most out of each place. We felt completely comfortable and well taken care of by D and we all became fast friends. He is a great driver, the vehicle was very comfortable and we could just sit back and relax and know that we were in great hands with D. Although he is not a "tour guide" per se, D still helped us navigate through each place and pointed out places of interest to help us navigate out time efficiently. It really makes a big difference when you have someone with expertise getting you from place to place so that you can focus on the location itself. Communication before and during the trip was excellent. Highly recommended to go with this tour company. They are reliable and made the day most enjoyable.
