Great guide. We skipped the line and saw everything in one day. Guide was great and full of information!!!! I would highly recommend.

Must Do While in Paris

We really enjoyed the first part of the tour about Monet. Unfortunately, by the time we got to the Versailles Palace, my food poisoning kicked in (not from this tour). What little we saw awed us tremendously. Andre was a great guide. He went out of his way to help me find a pharmacist so I could get some medicine. I can’t thank him enough!

Great tours in one day

Such a beautiful tour! Highly recommend! Our guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable. Started with Monet house and gardens. So beautiful! Then lunch at Versailles Restaurant. Then tour of Versailles and gardens. Excellent way to see both in one day.

Perfect tour guide/ Wonderful tour

We absolutely loved this tour. Chris was so insightful and the perfect guide. My mother-in-law thought we were just seeing Versailles. So visiting Giverny was a surprise and she was so excited. She could have stayed all day exploring the gardens. The lines at Versailles were insanely long so this tour was worth every penny to get to skip those lines. The vehicle was comfortable and spacious. Definitely book this tour!

Giverny & Versailles in a day

Giverny was a dream place for me and the visit did not disappoint! We went with Chris who took us to Giverny first in morning, which was best because we beat the crowds. The guided part was a little disappointing as there wasn’t very much information given, I was expecting some more insights and interesting tid bits of info, but I had to ask the questions and then get short answers in return. Going to Versailles is very busy with big crowds, so it was definitely comfortable to have a guide, in the sense of being able to get in easy & quickly to avoid the lines. He was able to give us a bit more information at Versailles than Giverny, but still felt a little rushed. Not knowing it until we got into the car, going back into our hotel.. we were getting back an hour early than what we had signed up/paid for. That was definitely a bit disappointing, because I would’ve loved to have had the extra hour to explore more of Giverny at least.

Fun and Memorable Tour of Versailles & Giverny

Our guide Isabel was wonderful! She came to pick us up on time and kept us entertained throughout the drive from Paris to Versailles. She is very knowledgeable and could answer all our questions. She also made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our tour. It was very personalized because, the itinerary was originally lunch in Giverny but since we finished the Versailles tour close to noon, she booked us a table by the window at La Flotille Café in Versailles coz I mentioned that I celebrated my birthday there 15 years ago. I highly recommend this tour coz you not only skip the lines but have to convenience of being picked up and dropped off at your hotel or residence in Paris. Do request for Isabel and I guarantee you will have an awesome time!

Great Day Trip from Paris

Our guide, CHRIS, provided a delightful day of sightseeing from beginning to end. We arrived early to Versailles (ahead of crowds) and Chris pointed out highlights as we toured the palace enriching our experience. At Giverny, he was equally versed in all things Monet. Highly recommend.

A solid tour to see two sights in one day

We had a great tour with Chris. We did wish that we had more time in Versailles to walk the gardens, but it wasn't possible due to total tour time. Otherwise, everything was great. Chris drove well and was a great guide for us in Versailles and Monet's gardens. Monet's gardens were beautiful. So, overall, a solid tour to see two sights in one day.

Top notch experience!

An amazing day spent at Giverny and Versailles. Our guide Bertrand (apologies if I have the name spelling wrong) picked us up at our hotel and drove us out Giverny to start our day. The drive was very pleasant and comfortable. Bertrand was a wonderful conversationalist and filled our drive with very interesting facts and stories about the area we were driving through. Giverny was lovely. Although it was a rainy day I enjoyed exploring the gardens and home of Claude Monet. After a delicious lunch at the on site restaurant, we headed to Versailles. We explored the grounds and gardens and then Bertrand took us on a guided tour many of the rooms which was exceptional! There is so much history to appreciate in Versailles and having a guided tour was absolutely wonderful. After our visit, we had time to take some photos and then we headed back to Paris. Thank you so much to Bertrand for making this such an unforgettable experience. Your knowledge, charisma, and top-notch customer service made this day the highlight of my trip to France!

Gardens at Giverny were magnificent! Our guide Chris was wonderful!!! Very informative and fun. Versailles was huge but Chris explained everything about it very well.

Truly WONDERFUL tour!

Michelle was an OUTSTANDING guide on our day trip out to Giverny and Versailles and we learned SO MUCH! She shared about the life and history of Monet, Versailles and King Louis XIV all the way to each location and then continued to share fascinating tidbits all throughout our personal tour. She knew exactly the places to go and in which order to maximize our time and minimize crowd exposure. She kindly held us a table at les Nympheas at Giverny so we could have a lovely lunch in a timely manner after we explored the grounds before heading to Versailles. We were so grateful for the private accommodations as we have younger children. Truth be told, this tour was a bit more for us as the adults because we love Monet but Michelle made sure that the tour catered both to our children's interests and to ours. She was very thoughtful and considerate and we'd be delighted to tour with her again! If you want to see both of these locations, I ABSOLUTELY recommend booking this tour! It was really worth it!

Perfect Day

How well Frederic (sp) orchestrated the day, his knowledge, his personality, and getting us in the tours with ease. The beauty of Giverny and Versailles is nothing to ever be forgotten. This was the perfect private tour for our 40th anniversary.

Exceptional, 6 star tour driver and guide. Roseann was fluently bi-lingual, French & English, she possessed the depth of knowledge of French culture equal to a professor of history, she began sharing her knowledge the moment my family entered the van, handled all the tickets and lines beautifully, and gave 2 days of effort in a day. Wonderful tour and guide

Had a wonderful day with family exploring Giverny and Versailles. Our guide was very personable, knowledgeable and informative. There were huge crowds at Versailles and we wouldn’t have made it through and seen the main highlights without him! And Giverny was beautiful and worth the trip out. Monet's Gardens are beautiful!

Monet's gardens were so beautiful. We actually stood on the bridge from the famous painting! Our tour guide was great. She knew what time to get us there to avoid the crowds. Our trip to Versailles was also amazing. The gardens there are also worth the trip. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history which added so much to the tour. I would highly recommend this tour.

Picked up in an AMG Mercedes from our hotel. Our guide was just a wealth of knowledge. He knew so many details about the history of France, Monet, the Versailles palace grounds, and the French Monarchy.

Excellent Day Trip

This is just what we had hoped for. Our guide Fabricio put us at ease immediately and took great care of us. He expertly guided us through Monet's house and gardens and then to the church in Giverny where Monet and his family are buried. After a lovely lunch at a creperie on the Seine in nearby Vernon, he toured us through the palace and gardens at Versailles. He knew exactly where to take to us and at just the right times, working us around the large groups and explaining the history to us all the while. Other groups were definitely jealous of our private tour! He was a careful and courteous driver in a super comfortable Mercedes. Fabricio was also so patient with us. He translated everything on the lunch menu for us and then explained all of it. He was absolutely wonderful. We highly recommend this tour and our guide!

Excellent full-day tour with Zara

Zara is a terrific tour guide. She met our group of 7 in our hotel lobby and brought us to her Mercedes van. She deftly drove us to Giverny, expertly managing the Paris traffic while pointing out landmarks in the city. She then gave us background about Monet once we were on the highway. When we reached Giverny, she asked our lunch preferences (simple sandwiches or a sit-down lunch). She then made a reservation for us, securing a beautiful table for 7 in the outdoor garden of the restaurant. We were thankful she did that upon arrival, since the restaurant was very busy after we finished touring Monet’s beautiful gardens and his house. Our table was in the best spot of the garden — very peaceful and a nice break from the more crowded interior of the restaurant. After making the lunch reservation, Zara led us to Monet's water garden and explained the route we should take. She told me later that she could not guide us through Monet's house because of the venue's restrictions, so that's why she gave us so much information about Monet during the van ride and at the entrance to the water garden. When we finished touring Monet's gardens/house and had browsed through the gift shop, we walked to the restaurant, which was just a few steps away. I was prepared to explain to the restaurant host that Zara had made a reservation for us, but there was no need. As soon as we reached the restaurant, Zara appeared and ushered us to our beautiful lunch table in the garden. We felt spoiled and enjoyed our lunch very much. Zara sat nearby at a small table with two other tour guides but was available if we had questions about the menu. After our lovely lunch (which we paid for separately from the tour price), Zara drove us to Versailles. Again, she told us background information about Versailles during the car ride. Once we arrived at the palace, she passed out audio headsets and then expertly guided us through the palace interior. She told us where to take the best group picture in the Hall of Mirrors and offered to take the picture for us. After exiting the palace, Zara brought us to the palace gardens. She showed us the route to take and where to meet her. Zara was waiting with the van when we were finished and drove us back to our hotel, continuing to answer our questions and share information all the way back to Paris. Zara is a wonderful storyteller — very knowledgeable with many years of guiding experience. We are so thankful to have had Zara as our guide and enjoyed our experience with Parismatic Tours very much.

Excellent! Five stars!

Roseann was an outstanding tour guide. She was fluently bilingual, very well informed about the geographic history of the areas we toured, as well as the details of Versailles. Roseann showed us corners of Giverney, pieces in the museum and fountains in the garden at Versailles that we would’ve not found or understood on our own, without her delightful insights. At a very busy time, her excellent hospitality made our tour relaxed and pleasant. I highly recommend Roseann for the tour of Versailles and Giverney.

A wonderful day in the country

Frederic was just terrific. He picked us up at our hotel right on time and was a good driver and an excellent tour guide -- he regaled us with the history of the life of Claude Monet on the way to Giverny, and when we got to Versailles he escorted us through the palace and explained what we were seeing in a very interesting way. We felt very fortunate to have had such a knowledgeable and pleasant guide.

The best way to see Versailles

This is definitely the way to see Versailles, and Monet's house and gardens are the perfect addition to the day! No waiting at train stations or crowding into group busses, especially on the way home when you are tired and have sore feet from walking the gardens! Our guide, RoseAnn met us at the door of our vacation rental in the center of Paris, in her clean and comfortable minivan, just for us! We drove to Giverny, for Monet's house and gardens. RoseAnn pointed out landmarks and talked about the countryside, as well as giving us an overview of Monet's life as we drove. We had an early start, so she suggested we stop for coffee in the beautiful village of Vernon. From there we drove into Giverny, and she tailored the trip to us because I wanted to walk around the church where Monet and his family are buried. At Monet's house she wasn't allowed to guide us through the house, but she took us to the water garden to make sure we knew where we were going and told us what we should look for. After our time in the house and grounds she took us to a very quaint restaurant for an included lunch. Next we drove to Versailles, where her outstanding knowledge of the Palace and grounds really helped us to understand what we were seeing. The tour was 8 hours and we enjoyed every minute. If you have the time I highly recommend this tour.
