Highlight of Uluru experience!

Amazing experience learning the stories of the land and people whilst being at the foot of Uluru. Hannah made the experience even better with her animated story telling and knowledge. Her friendly nature made the small group experience even more enjoyable.

Beauty and wonder at the rock

I'd had no idea that around the base of the rock there were so many stories to tell. My highlight was the moment when our guide invited us to be silent at one of the rockpools to take in the richness of where we were.

Uluru base tour

The tour guides were really knowledge and were really friendly. Uluru is stunning, however there is not enough time to take it all in. You are walking at a really fast pace between the stops for the story telling. So if you're not fit, please consider another tour.

An incredible experience!

Hailey was a fantastic tour guide who was knowledgeable and engaging. The walk is fairly fast paced - it wasn't an issue for my husband and I, but if you have trouble walking at a fast pace then one of the Uluru highlights tours might be a better option for you. It is incredible to see Uluru up close and definitely a must-do!

Wauw!!!!

I reckon most people have seen pictures of Uluru on several occasions, however being there and actually seeing (and from a few spots actually touching) "the rock" it something very different. Most amazing experience, which I for sure will never forget. The tour guide Hayley was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to, and since this was a small group tour, many questions could be asked and answered. I loved the morning breakfast and all in all very well organised trip.

Illuminating Base Walk around Uluru

Really enjoyed the walk around the base of Uluru, despite the very early start .. tho it does get so hot later, you definitely need to start early. Pete was a very knowledgeable, informative and fun guide, and knew a lot about the aboriginal culture & beliefs.

Best Tour Guide Ever!!

We travelled to Uluru from Canberra and strongly recommend SEIT Tours if you are wanting to explore the area. The groups are much smaller than other tour companies which makes for a smoother and more intimate experience that gives you the opportunity to meet / get to know the people you are travelling with. We did the Uluru Trek and Kata Tjuṯa Trek with our tour guide Pete and to say he was incredible would be an understatement! Pete is so friendly, genuine, and very respectful of the Aṉangu People, their culture and their land. Pete also holds a lot of geographical knowledge of these sacred and magical locations. Thank you Pete, you really made our trip one to remember! ☺️

SEIT Base Trek Tour 100% recommended

What a spectacular way to get up close and personal with Uluru in a way that, in my opinion, no bus trip can match. Our group of 9 were led by Ryan and Em, and we headed out pre-sunrise, stocked with snacks and water. Make no mistake, especially in summer it's not a gentle stroll, it's around 12km trek, but there's shade, there's water and rest, and the knowledge of the guides really help to bring the rock and its history to life. If you want to learn traditional landowner stories and get under the skin of the rock (so to speak) this is the tour for you. The care and expertise of Ryan and Em was fantastic, couldn't recommend higher.

We had an awesome time. Our guide's Oxie & Ben were very engaging and informative. The hike was super enjoyable but challenging. We loved it!

Very good tour

Had a wonderful walk around the rock. Our guide who's name escapes me, she was very informative and considerate of others setting pace of walk to suit the slower walkers. Tha walk it self was easy and we had plenty of time to look and explore the rock.

Awesome trip!

Michael was an awesome tour guide!! Very knowledgeable, engaging and a great story teller!! The walk was very early, long and hot but well worth it! The views and the commentary about Uluru was so interesting. Make sure to wear big nets-the flies are numerous!!

Unique experience

The small group was ideal for this tour. The guide Ryan was extremely good and gave a lot of information and stories about the Aborigines. Overall an inspiring experience.

Incomplete tour

Nice tour, but incomplete in my opinion. The tour is focused mostly on the aboriginal part of Uluru. Not enough explanation and in depth information about the geological part of the rock formation. There is ample of time to talk about geology as the walk takes several hours with lots/long parts without comments

Memorable experience. The tour happens at the perfect timing, before the hot gets impossible. Jim, our tour guide, has been great in providing all the information. Nice breakfast middle time.

Uluru full base walk a wonderful learning and awe-inspiring experience

The full base walk of Uluru was a wonderful experience. It was a relaxed walk with lots of time to focus on the varied views on the 12km trek. Our SEIT guide Bea was very knowledgeable, told great stories of the history, geology and beliefs of the indigenous explaining how they viewed the monolith and what it meant in their lives. It wasn't just a walk but a learning experience and great way to appreciate Uluru.

Inspiring guide created an in-depth Experience of Uluru

We did two tours with SEIT and while they were both good our guide on this walk around Uluru made it a far superior experience. Uluru is unbelievable by itself but this tour added so much more, allowing us to feel like we were really able experience it. While it seemed a little weird having a guide who was Italian, Andreas was brilliant. His knowledge, respect and passion for the landscape, the history and culture surrounding Uluru was inspiring. He went above and beyond and it was a fantastic day.

Uluṟu Morning base walk with Seit

We had a beautiful morning walking around the base of Uluru. Our guide was Andre’ he was fantastic, full of local Aṉangu knowledge, respectful and a great personality. We learnt much from our time with him. Thoroughly recommend this activity!

Full base walk is a must at Uluru

To truly experience Uluru, full base walk to stop and smell the roses is a must thing to do. Take in the views, plants and wildlife at a good pace. It’s an easy 12.5km flat hike. In the hotter months do it before it gets too hot during the day.

Trek around Uluru - worth it...

I went with my husband and we both thought it was fabulous. Apart from the beautiful sunrise, the knowledge passed on by our guide Andrea was wonderful. He answered all our questions about the formation of Uluru, the Aboriginal art on the rock and plants we passed on our walk. He also fed us a hearty breakfast which was much appreciated as we needed fuel :)

Uluru morning walk

Beautiful early morning walk. You will see the other side of Uluru and raising sun in the desert. Our guide Georgia was very nice and very knowledgeable.

A poor walk around a spectacular rock

The rock is spectacular and worth visiting. The walk is about 10 km and very easy. There are flies, so bring a fly net for your face. For 1 person 1.5l of water are sufficient if you start in the early morning. The pick up by SEIT was on time. The sunrise at the rock was unspectacular. The guide ran around the rock as if he wanted to establish a new record. He permanently preached not to take fotos as these were sacred sites. I do respect aboriginal culture, I undertook the effort to travel around half of the globe to come here and I paid hundreds of dollars to visit the place. So I was quite disappointed. There was not even time to look at the caves and different erosion structures. Also there are only very few benches and tables where you can put a backpack to put something in or take something out. There is just nothing but the dessert. The breakfast (some hot water, juice, cookies, milk, fruit) were handed out in a bag that you have to carry. The thing was just a nuisance constantly banging against my thigh. When we arrived at the sites where fotos are allowed they were already very crowded with people. It would have been much smarter to go clockwise to beat the crowds. Overall I would highly recommend to do the tour on your own. People went at their own pace taking fotos where they liked. It can easily be done without getting lost our injured. It is certainly the better, more enjoyable and cheaper way to see the rock.

Our guide Mark was outstanding. He was knowledgeable and passionate. The toilet facilities were poor and third world. Only one about a third of the way around. The breakfast could have been better. The walk was amazing.

Magical Uluru

This was an excellent tour - definitely the best way to experience the magic of Uluru - and we were very fortunate to have a brilliant guide, Chaffey (Mark), who was entertaining, passionate and very knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour. We couldn't recommend him higher.

A wonderful way to see Uluru

A wonderful way to experience Uluru - our tour guides Bee and Sylvia were friendly and knowledgeable, and the pace of the walk was perfect for both myself and my 69 year old mother. Can highly recommend.

A Spiritual Experience

My wife & I were picked up from Sails in the Desert at 6am and arrived at Uluru when light had yet to touch the horizon. Luckily, we took a small torch to sort through our breakfast snacks, which we carried with us on the walk. Our 9 fellow trekkers included a family from England, which encompassed 3 generations, including a 4yr old and a 'not quite' 2yr old. Yes, you can probably imagine the challenges presented to their parents, grand parent and also the tour guide on our 12km walk. The main reason for writing this review is to commend our tour guide, Mel, for her calmness, patience, kindness and her depth of knowledge on both the physical and spiritual aspects of Uluru. She has a deep affinity to the land and also the Anangu people. We were not expecting a spiritual experience, but Mel allowed us to link our spirits to those of the Anangu in such a special way that when we touched the rock of Uluru tears welled up in our eyes. An experience that we will never forget. Thanks.

Exceptional tours with amazing tour guides

We did two tours with Seit Outback on two consecutive days. The Kata Tjuta Domes and the Uluru Base Trek at sunrise. We are a family with two very young children, and these tours could have been a hard slog for them. However, the extremely professional guides Matt and Mel we had on our tours were amazing with the children and were extremely accommodating to our needs. Our first tour was at Kata Tjuta with the fabulous Matt, whose knowledge and humour were second to none. Our second tour was the Uluru base trek at sunrise with the absolutely amazing Mel. With two young tired children who did exceptionally well and the youngest children she had taken all the way around the base, she was flexible, accommodating, and went above and beyond. Unfortunately I was unwell and became quite sick during the tour. Mel could not have done more for me, and arranged for someone to take me back to the resort when I realised my body couldn't take me any further. She made sure my health was priority and I cannot thank Mel or the young lad who transferred me back to the resort enough for their genuine care. I'd also just like to give a mention to Karyn who was amazing at booking and re-booking our tours after we had to cancel in 2020. All the staff that we have had the pleasure of dealing with at Seit Outback have been incredible and we want to thank you for making our Uluru experience amazing!

I loved the tour. Our guide Bee was good fun, very knowledgable, and really made the whole tour a success. I really appreciated the stories and information on aboriginal culture. The walk was very good and I loved that we could see the whole of Uluru. Breakfast was okay. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Great morning with “Queen B” as our guide. Her storytelling was our favourite part. She brought lots of energy and was willing to share and provide tips to us on our other adventures for Uluṟu and it’s surrounds.

Mon, our Seit guide for the base walk tour was wonderful, caring and so attentive. On top of that, she was great in story telling. The kids loved the experience and have asked me repeatedly to leave a great review. We highly recommend adding this experience to your itinerary.

Uluru, absolutely beautiful.

Incredible experience, a must do for everyone who visits Uluru. Bea was an incredible host with a lot of knowledge of Uluru and the traditional owners, including sharing stories of the traditional owners, the Anangu. What I loved even more was that I didn't have to watch people walk on top of such a sacred site. Overall a spiritual experience that should be ticked if you have a bucket list but as our host says, when you are meant to be there you will be there and my time had come.

Incredible experience!

Our family loved the sunrise trip to Uluru. The experience of watching the sun rise as we walked was amazing. The group was small, the people were friendly and the guide was great! The breakfast was basic, but filling and enough for a snack later as well! I enjoyed the slower pace and chance to learn about the culture and geology of Uluru.

A small group tour that is hugely rewarding.

I went on this tour with a friend and we both enjoyed it very much. The two guides were very knowledgeable and friendly and because the group was only large enough to fit into a mini-bus there was a more personal aspect which we found more rewarding. The breakfast food, snacks, fruit drink and water that was supplied were more than adequate for our needs. I highly recommend this tour to anyone considering visiting Uluru.

Beautiful piece of Australia

B was a great tour guide who was very well informed about all aspects of the tour. The breaky pack was very well put together and yummy. The only down side was watching out for puddles the whole walk instead of looking at the wonderful surroundings but no one can be blamed for that.

Breathtaking sunrise walk at Uluru.

The sunrise walk with breakfast were a great experience. Our guide (Michael) was very competent, engaged, and paying attention to everyone's welbeing during the walk. Experiencing sunrise was breathtaking, later the breakfast was a wonderful treat after around 1 hour of walk. Michael shared lots of information on geology and on indigenous background with us. At the end of the tour, we could have just repeated the walk!

Not a walking race!

We did this tour on 25th May. The organisation of the tour was very good. The breakfast bag was excellent and Uluru was spectacular. I would recommend people do this tour but not with this guide. I have given this a 3 star rating simply because of Uluru itself. The guide we had set a pace that was impossible for myself and another lady to keep up with (we are both short therefore our strides are much smaller than hers). She also did not seem to care that two of the clients were being left behind and could, at one point, have missed the track in the dark. When advised by some of the other participants that we were getting left behind, her response was “ well, they need to keep up, this is a trek”. Nowhere in the descriptions is this tour referred to as a “trek”. She didn’t seem to have any care about the people on the tour enjoying the experience. Even the people who kept up with her were disappointed in being rushed and not able to simply slow down and take it all in. In no way can a “walk” be interpreted to be an Olympic walking race! She advised everyone that we had to be back at the bus by 11.20am. We were back at the bus before 11am (including the stragglers)! On occasion when we caught up to the group because she had stopped to explain something, she would immediately take off again, giving us no chance to hear what she had said or get a little rest from the pace she set. The other disappointment, was that even though we were at Uluru before dawn, we were not on the right to sit, have breakfast and enjoy the changing light on the rock as the sun rose and take photos of this spectacle.

Outstanding!

The highlight of our trip was the full base walk around Uluru with SEIT at sunrise! I highly recommend this experience and SEIT did it so well. We left in the dark and starting walking just before first light. It was perfectly timed as the first part of the walk you can’t take any photos so it was good to walk and be moving as it was a cold start (8o). The sun rise was beautiful, and the direction of the walk meant that we walked with the sun on our side and not in our faces. Our guide Connie was incredible. She was very knowledgeable and we loved hearing the traditional stories that Uluru holds. Breakfast toilet stop x2 and water refills were times well and I didn’t feel rushed at any point. The walk was a steady pace with enough time to take it all in. Breakfast was great. Muesli or cereal biscuits and each of us were given a great little thermos for tea or hot chocolate. The gluten free option I had were delicious. The advantage of goi by wit SEIT is the small group of about 10-11 we had a great group of people on our tour and could chat to each of them as we walked around and our guide could spend time with each of us and answer and questions we had too. Excellent day! Loved every minute. Thanks SEIT 🙌🏼
