Tirta experience

The Tirta water blessing was the most memorable. My tour guide Katut was well versed in the ceremony so I was well prepared. He also put in a full days worth of driving.

Memorable day out

We went early in the morning, which was the right time to go to miss the crowds. Our driver, Made Karyana, was friendly, knowledgeable, funny and helpful. I’d recommend him highly, we had a very enjoyable and special experience.

Holy experience

Highlight of my Bali trip. The line was very long, but it was worth the wait. I went in May and the water was a little cold and I was shivering the whole time, so make sure you are feeling 100% when you go!

Unforgettable and immensely spiritual

Our driver Made is an absolute GEM. He went out of his way to make our experience extra memorable. From a personal perspective, I prepared for this ceremony for month to heal from something in my past and childhood trauma. Made did not once asked why we we wanted to do the offering and needed/asked for blessings but prepared us with kindness and took beautiful pictures. He was so informative and answered all our questions from the hotel pickup until drop off. He attribution to our trip was immeasurable and we will never forget it and be forever grateful. Thank you, Made. We appreciate it so so much. Ask for Made of you are serious about learning about Bali and if this ceremony and offering is important to you.

Wonderful, spiritual experience

Wonderful trip. Well taken care of by Gekko. He advised travelling to a local temple as it was new moon and the one we wanted would be packed and traffic more than usual. Where he took us was quiet and we were able to take our time with the ritual and exploring the temple grounds. He also stopped at a local seller for us to buy sarongs and was wonderful in assisting with the sale. He is fun and friendly and we felt very safe in his care

Had the most amazing experience and im soo glad we got our guide Ketut! He helped to guide us through the whole ceremony and provided us with all the information we needed to participate. There are particular steps to follow and he provided us with all the info and was happy to repeat until we understood. Also he took amazing pictures so we could have memories of our amazing experience. Would definitely recommend, worth the price! Easy pick up and drop off too! We will be booking ketut for additional tours while on our trip, great guide!!!

Beautiful Temple, disappointing tour experience

I am BEYOND disappointed in this booking. It felt very unprofessional and not a tour at all. The “guide” was 40 minutes early, which thankfully I was ready. On the way to the Temple he stopped for gas and on the way home stopped at a Mart to get himself a drink and snack while I was in the car!! He barely spoke English, it seemed, and so barely spoke on the ride there and not at all throughout the Temple. The only reason I knew what to do in the holy water was because I was listening to a guide behind me. I did not get Tea afterwards as described. There was a shopping area at the exit I would have loved to look at but the guide power walked through it to leave, I had to yell his name so I could stop and buy myself a water at one of the stands. I came to Bali with a group but did this tour on my own and I did not feel comfortable with the ride to and from and am very disappointed in my experience as it took up majority of my day. Very unfortainte.

Once in a lifetime experience

100% recommend the tour...

100% recommend the tour by Viator. We had troubles with time, we needed to be back at the hotel early. Spoken with one member of the staff and they managed to send a person earlier. We manage to have the tour and the same time to do the purification ritual as requested. The guider was very helpful and took lots of pictures.

Amazing spiritual experience…

Amazing experience & wonderful tour guide. Def worth having a guide as it can be a bit chaotic in the temple & it saved a lot of time (and lining up!) having someone knowledgable.

Tirta Empul - a beautiful experience!

Tirta Empul was the only activity that my husband requested during our time in Bali. Our guide, Kadek, was punctual, knowledgeable, and kind, and he and my husband hit it off well. It was a very memorable experience. If Tirta Empul is on your itinerary, please ask for Kadek. You won't be disappointed!

Great time! Great guide!!

Ari was absolutely the best, had such a good time he was very knowledgeable and we had lots of laughs. He walked us through the process at the temple and took excellent pictures. Really made a great trip better, highly recommend!

Scam

Awful. Booked to be picked up from hotel. Email confirmation said pick up from hotel. I then received a message saying it would cost extra to pick up from the hotel. The pick up states it is included in the cost. They then cancelled my trip. Appalling service and certainly felt like a scam.

Magical

We had a really fun and magical time, especially with our tour guide. He told us about the way how we used to clean our spirit in this holy and magical temple. After the temple we went on the coffee trip and it was interesting, fun and delicious! A special thanks to our tour guide Kadek Bali. We had a really fun time with him!🥳

Purification ceremony

We had an amazing time with our Tour Guide Gekoo. He explained a lot about the religion, the culture and the ceremony. Because of that we had the possibility to enjoy the purification. Gekoo took a lot of time for us. You can be glad when you get him as your Guide!

Great trip

Very nice driver/tour guide Geko! Safe driving and good explanation and guidance inside the temple which allowed me to finish the purification ceremony smoothly. In the return trip he was also able to bring me to additional spots nearby which is very helpful.

Magical experience

It was a magical experience and the guide was really nice. We went in the morning so it wasn’t bizzey yet. Would defenitly regement!

Totally worth having a guide

I would totally recommend this excursion to anyone wanting to experience the Tirta Empul temple. Having a guide made an incredible add on as it provided information, tips and assistance along the way which made the day a whole lot more relaxed, flowing and closer to the traditional ceremony than you would get showing up on your own.

Highly recommend a guide for this to ensure ritual is done properly.

Seamless Spiritual Journey

From the start the process was flawless. Gekko was prompt and eased our way through entry and our sarong change. He explained each process and guided us through the whole thing. Taking away the guess work of the whole process. After the purification part, he showed us through the entire complex and explaining to us the importance of each structure. We would highly recommend him.

Our guide Wayan Suka was very professional, helpful, friendly and prompt. This tour is very nice and very informative. A beautiful Hindu place of worship.

Awesome Tour, Bucket List Worthy

The tour was awesome! I really felt a part of the ritual at the Temple and immersed in Balinese culture. Nyoman really went out of his way and made everything informative. I also really enjoyed the coffee tour and learning about Kopi Luwak, made in Bali. I told my family back home in the US and they were shocked I experienced Kopi Luwak, famous from the movie the Bucket List 😂.

Tirta Empul - great experience!

I had a wonderful trip to the Tirta Empul Temple. Moyo is a fantastic guide, he drove me there and back and took care of everything, from entry ticket to sarong hire. He took time to explain the history of the temple and rituals and also took photos and videos for me, which was great as I was solo. Highly recommend this trip and guide! Thankyou

A potent experience- very healing

Sudi was a great guide. He was very informative and flexible. His English was perfect and I really enjoyed the experience. He took some great photos and videos, something I couldn't have done on my own. The tour allowed me to really focus on my prayer and cleansing ritual. Very powerful and healing.

Great experience

What a great trip! It was very spiritual and really made you feel a part of the Balinese community. Our tour guide Kadek Nanda was amazing; insightful, happy, very informative as he answered all our thousands of questions and we never felt rushed. He also took over 100 photos of us on our phone! The Guide SUDI was fantastic, he took us through the rice fields and local areas on the way. He was very knowledgeable, spoke English very well . He explained the whole process and information about the temple thoroughly . He also took pictures and videos on our camera of our experience. Would 100% recommend.

Great guide from Moyo at the Titra Empul

We had an amazing experience thanks to Moyo. We considered going without a guide but I’m glad that we chose to go with a guide in the end. Moyo picked us up from our hotel and took us to the Titra Empul from the moment we got there he made it an easy and enjoyable experience he sorted the entry,offering sarong’s for both walking around and for the spiritual cleansing. At each stage he explained to us the history and meaning behind everything and most importantly he guided us on the proper etiquette when taking part in the spiritual cleansing. Would recommend this trip and to request Moyo if possible as your guide!

Way too crowded

For what this tour was titled and sold under I did not skip any line. Went on a Sunday where it’s understandably more busy but it was so so crowded that I really ruined the experience. Only went in the first pool because I would have been waiting for so long to do the rest. My tour guide was great and knowledgeable. But would recommend going early in the morning like 7 when it opens.

Tirta Empul Temple

It was an extraordinarily experience. Our guide, Komang Adi was such a great guide. His English was really good, so it was much easier to understand all of his knowledge. If you’re so lucky to get him, you’ll get an incredible experience.

Rejuvenating experience

What a great experience. My guide Bagus was excellent!! Had great knowledge and more than happy to share this with me. Walked me through the temple and explained the significance of the water etc. it was a fully rejuvenating experience. My guide knew I had not yet seen the famous rice fields also and stopped off there on the way back which I really appreciated

Wonderful experience

Moyo was an excellent guide. He was early and communicated ahead of the pickup. He helped me navigate the process once on-site for the tour. I really appreciate him taking the time to explain how to do the offering and prayer regarding the holy water. Definitely would recommend him as a guide.

Fantastic experience at Tirta Empul

We had such a memorable experience at Tirta Empul. Our driver Wayan was amazing, he helped with everything and made the day even more special...we definitely recommend him and doing thus tour!!!

Cleansing temple

Gusit was a brilliant driver, brought is to some local/traditional ways of making clothes and silver jewellery.He explained the temple very well to us.Took lots of photos.The temple is a very good tourist attraction and is an activity that anyone can do.

An absolute highlight

Visiting Tirta Empul was the best thing I did in Bali. I was picked up from my hotel right on time and had a lovely driver named Sudi. We drove for about 40 minutes and when we arrived at the temple he organised everything and then gave me a historical tour and answered all of my questions. Sudi explained the bathing process so I was comfortable to get in the water. Truly, an incredible experience. We visited a local coffee farm nearby and then I was returned to my hotel. Absolutely highlight and would recommend to anyone visiting Ubud.

Titra Empul Temple/Holy Water Temple

Titra Empul Temple is everything it claims to be. Beautiful environment, 3 hours does not include drive time. Hahaha my bad but worth the trip in traffic. Our tour guide was not the greatest in the beginning but relaxed over time and the entire experience was very pleasant
