Amazing experience!

Absolutely amazing experience with Kadek. Made 2 rings and a necklace pendant in the silver jewellery making class. It was a great experience first designing the jewellery itself, then to cutting, moulding, soldering and polishing our jewellery. Kadew was an amazing teacher, incredibly patient and really helpful. His family were very welcoming, with his wife giving us drinks and snacks! All of us were really pleased with our jewellery. Thanks for an amazing time.

What an AMAZING experience. Kadek and his family were so kind and welcoming. The workshop is held in their family compound, so you also get a glimpse into Balinese family life. Kadek is a wonderful instructor, who is incredibly kind and patient, and he introduced us to the techniques of the art of traditional Balinese jewelry making. With his expert guidance, we were each able to design our very own unique creations. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend this workshop. In fact, we will definitely be returning on our next trip to Bali. Honestly, we would have paid far more than we did, because it was well worth it. Book this experience now, because you definitely won't regret it.

Super interesting silver making class

This was a lovely trip. I got to meet the family, had some fruit snacks and drink on arrival. He talked me through the process of making the jewellery from melting the silver to polishing. Showed me examples of what I could make from pendants, keyring, rings etc. He explained that he was taught by his Dad who I got to meet. The whole process was really fun, he showed me what to do at each stage and guided me through. I wanted to make a keyring and would cost a little more than the 10grm allowance as I w acted it a little thicker he made sure I was aware of the small additional cost by weighting once I had made the initial shape. The cost for the additional silver is really good and I can see the quality of the silver in the finished keyring I made a few mistakes and he easily corrected these I’m so happy with what I made that I commissioned him to make a similar one for my Dad. It was exceptional and he sent sample images for me to approved and believed it the next day. I am so happy with this class and would recommend to small groups or solo travellers

Choose this class. It’s a real class where you will learn something.

I have experience and wanted to learn the Balinese techniques and tools. This class was brilliant. Small groups which is great. Plenty of explanations and help when you needed it, and I was enabled to create my own design and use the tools myself as needed. Both brothers have a lot of experience and skills, learnt from their father. I would recommend this class if you want to make jewellery while in Bali. I love the ring I created and the chance to use their interesting soldering system. Thank you. 🙏

Amazing experience making our own silver jewellery pieces! The private class meant we had lots of explanation and help! The family took lots of photos during the class. Super friendly teacher and it was lots of fun :) Our taxi man got lost and the family helped us find him haha. Definitely recommend!

Great jewellery making with a beautiful family

This was an amazing experience made all the more special by also meeting the whole family and kitten. We were not sure what to expect from the lesson but the vehicle experience was fun and informative. We were able create two wonderful silver rings and had a lot of fun doing it!! I would highly recommend this small family business and hope that their venture is successful.

Amazing Experience

My daughter and I had an amazing time. Greeted with warm smiles as we arrived for our private class with Rajata at his home in Ubud. We both made a silver ring each and were encouraged to participate in all the steps of the process. Highly recommended day out and a private class with Rajata added to the experience!

Unique Bali Experience

I’ve been to Bali several times before but this is the first time I’ve seen a class on offer like this. The silver workshop is based outside their family home. The instructor was very patient and supportive. You have the freedom to design a ring, bracelet or pendant etc… we both chose earrings. I added pearl drops to mine. I was very happy with the product I created and have much more appreciation for the process now. Highly recommend you give it a go. We will be back to create more unique pieces.

recently had a one-on-one session with Rajata in jewelry making. Despite having no prior knowledge in this craft, he displayed patience and extensive expertise. I came for this ring making experience with two friends in September and we had a great experience. We were greeted by the family who provided drinks and snacks throughout the experience. The family were very knowledgeable on jewellery making and had great tools to make a number of different designs. We absolutely loved our experience and would recommend using this local business.

Amazing experience

The class started by explaining the process and then continued with figuring out what I wanted to make. My design was not very complicated, but it required some delicate actions for parts of it where I let the host take over because I have shaky hands. Always showing me first how to do things and then letting me do the rest.

Making a special memory to wear home

Kadekarik was an amazing instructor. He explained everything and made it easy to make a beautiful ring. He had all the materials needed, was very skilled, and showed patience and encouragement. Meeting his mom and dad in their home where the workshop is located made the experience even more memorable.

We were a little hesitant first in participating, firstly because of the few reviews, but also because we thought our skills would not produce a very nice end result. We couldn’t have been more wrong, this was one of the highlights of our holiday in Bali! Such a warm and welcoming feeling and we felt the teaching along the process was spot on! In the end through the guidance we had, we were able to produce silver earrings that are a beautiful and treasured memory. Something that we can wear with pride and a smile on our face. Just do it!!

We are in Ubud and booked the particular jewelry making class because even though it didn't have many reviews, the ones it did have were very good. It was about a 40 minute drive to the location instead of the closer one that was literally 4 minutes from our villa. When we arrived Arik was waiting for us outside and welcomed us in. He explained a little silver history and what we would be doing for the day. His workshop was functional and organized so it was easy to work in. Arik and his family were very friendly and patient and ultimately we produced some very nice pieces of jewelry. I would def recommend the class, it was a lot of fun.

Amazing souvenir and new skill unlocked!

I came in knowing a bit how jewelry and smelting was done from YouTube videos but being guided and helped by a professional makes you truly appreciate the process and the ingenuity in the techniques he employed. Next time in Bali, I’ll bring along more people with me.

The Best ring making in bali. 10/10 expirence! Must try!!

We wanted to make our own silver rings and tried Rajata silver class recommended by our hotel. This was the best experience of our time in bali, we couldn't have asked for anything more. The host was extremely knowledgeable and talented yet let us do each step ourselves and was very patient, making us feel comfortable and the whole experience was just perfect. He made so this was something we will remember forever. If your looking to make your own rings this is the only place to go!!! We are from England and one thing to note was that the hosts english was very good as a result we felt very at home during the experience. Thank you rajata silver and the rajata family for having us!!!!

We learned how to make rings, take about 3 hours, so nice to make myself a ring. Definitely recommend this class.

Learnt how to make a number of jewellery items with a skilful and patient teacher

I did a number of classes at Rajata Silver Class, I made a ring, a pendant and some earrings, Aric my teacher was skilful, patient and inspiring, I kept going back for more… I tried a couple of others whilst in Bali but one was for me, couldn’t recommend it enough!

It was a great morning. We were given a very warm welcome and felt very comfortable. We were given a lot of help making the jewelry and had a lot of laughs along the way. We would choose this course again and again!

Silversmithing at Arik

Arik welcomed me very warmly. I was given a wonderful introduction to the craft of silversmithing and was taught it. My self-designed ring turned out magnificent. I am so happy! A visit to him is definitely a must on any trip to Bali.
