We did the 4d3n tour from Bali to see Bromo, Tumpak Sewu, and Ijen. We had such an amazing trip with Dino and Wahyu. Dino was able to show us the best views and took great photos for us. He was so caring throughout the tour. Wahyu was such a funny guy and made our trip such a blast. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for amazing volcanoes and waterfalls. We can’t thank Dino and Wahyu enough. They really made the trip fantastic. We took so many photos, although the real view is so much better.

3 days 2 nights Ijen and Bromo with Tono and Rico

We did the 3 days 2 nights tour to climb the Ijen, see the blue fire and watch the Bromo. Everything was perfectly arranged and we had a great time with guide Tono and driver Rico. They told us a lot of information and they knew the best spots. I would recommend this to everyone!

Excellent!

We did our 3-day tour with Saiful and couldn't have imagined a better guide! The entire tour is perfectly planned and all matters are taken care of. This allowed us to fully enjoy the experiences of Madakaripura Waterfall, Mount Bromo sunrise, and Ijen. Thank you, Saiful, for the great time! Unforgettable journey with Java Adventure

We did a 3 nights 4 days tour (3N4D) with Java Adventure Trail with the Ijen - Tupak Sewu Waterfal - Bromo - Tour. All our questions and the booking was done quickly and easily via Whatsapp. Payment was also handled via a very simple online system. We were picked up on time from Bali (Ubud) and taken to the harbour. Our tour guide Yogi was already waiting for us there. The atmosphere with him was very pleasant right from the start. We met our driver Fait in Java. Everything was perfectly organised. Fait was a very good driver, he always got us from one place to another on time. With his good humour and his dance moves, even getting up at night was fun. Our tour guide Yogi was perfectly prepared for the tours (gas mask, pad to sit on, ....). He was able to answer all our questions about the culture, the country and the hikes. Yogi gave us enough time at the photo spots and viewpoints and we were able to decide how long we wanted to stay there. He also took our individual fitness levels into consideration during the hikes. We had great conversations and laughed a lot. We were also able to rest and sleep during the trips. Yogi also took perfect photos of us. As we usually started early, we were almost alone at many spots. The whole four days were so well organised and thanks to the caring nature of Yogi and Fait, we were also very sad that our tour was already over after 4 days. My friend and I can recommend the tour 1000% with the tour guide Yogi and the driver Fait. It was an unforgettable trip. Thank you very much.

Tumpak Sewu - Bromo - Ijen -> Ubud tour

We did a 3-day trip with Andrean and driver Maxi to Tumpak Sewu - Bromo - Ijen and drop off in our hotel in Ubud. The hiking to reach these locations was pretty challenging for us sometimes (easy for seasoned hikers) but it was so worth it everytime… The views are incredible! Andrean was a great guide with a lot of experience, he made us feel very comfortable and arranged everything, he also took a lot of pictures from us which turned out great. Maxi was a good driver which is necessary in some areas :). Everything was so well arranged, and also adjusted to our personal preferences sometimes. The price is very good for what you get and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to (and should) go to these locations. The homestays were nice and they arranged good rooms for us! In Ijen we got Issa as our guide, he was very helpful and funny. Big thumbs up for our guide and driver 👍🏼

Unforgettable Experience

What an amazing tour! Guide Yogi and driver Wahyu made the trip spectacular- all travel was seamless and comfortable, I learned a lot, and we shared many laughs. Yogi always made sure everything was perfect - getting all the good pictures, arranging travel to avoid crowds. Mt Ijen and Mt Bromo are some of the most spectacular sights I have ever seen. This is a must if you are visiting Indonesia!

Perfectly organized and so much fun!!!

Wonderful experience

This experience was definitely the highlight of our trip. Absolutely amazing. Bromo and Ijen are one of the most scenic places I’ve seen and Java Adventure Trail service just made everything even more enjoyable. Extraordinary trip with and Extraordinary guide

Everything was perfectly organized and stress free. From the hotel pick up, to the ferry, to the lodgings, the restaurants chosen along the way. We could not have asked for a better adventure. Will you be tired and battered after 3 days? Yes. Is it worth it? 1000% Yogi was an EXTRA-ordinary guide and our driver Hendrick made us feel safe on the chaos of the Javanese roads. In conclusion, just book it you will not regret.

Highly recommended - perfect tour!

We took the 3D2N tour from Bali via Ijen to Bromo and ended in Surabaya. The experience to hike through the night under the most wonderful starlit sky, seeing the bluefire, being humbled by the hard work of the miners and being rewarded at the end with the most amazing sunrise at both Ijen and Bromo is just amazing. The tour is very well organized and you are perfectly taken care of - from Hotel, food, water and gear - nothing to worry about. To top our experience, we had THE best guide and driver. Ari, our guide, was super knowledgeable on the area - you can ask him everything, he helps you and guides you through the hike, takes extra care of where to step, moves you out of every cloud of sulphur so you can take the perfect picture and he knows the perfect spot with the best view for your sunrise picture. Besides his expertise he is super kind, friendly and really funny - making the long car drives worth it. Hendrik, our driver, was very nice and attentive. He is a very skilled driver and got us save everywhere no matter how steep or crowded the road was. They both made our trip more than memorable! We highly recommend this tour and ask for Ari and Hendrik - it will be worth it!!

The most amazing trip with the most amazing guide and driver!!

This trip was absolutely amazing. The views of Bromo and Ijen were astonishing, but to make it even better, we had the most amazing guide, Yogi. Yogi constantly put a smile on our faces with his kind personality and warm heart. He continuously offered his help throughout the trip and was extremely selfless. Yogi is not only a tour guide, but now a new friend. Along with Yogi came our driver, Goufran. Goufran was extremely kind and always a safe driver. He made us feel welcomed in his car throughout the whole trip. We had the most amazing time with both Yogi and Goufran on this trip and I am so happy to have met these lovely men. They truly made the experience unbelievable. I hope to come back to Java soon for another trip. I recommend this tour to everyone as it truly was outstanding.

Great views!!!!!!!!!!

We left from Surabaya airport where our legendary guide Yogi and driver Faid were waiting for us. They were great and super helpful with every request we made. The views are breathtaking, although both routes are quite crowded in August. I recommend bringing at least some wind jackets because it is very cold at the top. Personally, I preferred Ijen because the summit can be reached by trekking for about an hour. Unfortunately, the blue flames were not seen because it was temporarily impossible due to government regulations. In any case super recommended!!

We visited mount Bromo, Tumpak sewu waterfall and the ijen crater. Everything was smooth from the booking till the end of the trip. Our tour guide was Arie, he was very cheerful, informative, skilled with difficult hiking trails and managed everything well. This tour was a great experience! Highly recommended!

This was a fantastic experience! Our guide Rahman was kind, informative and a true professional. Not to mention an amazing videographer and photographer! Rizky was a great driver; kind and efficient. I highly recommend this experience to anyone traveling to Indonesia who wants to try something other than beaches and tourist traps. The only criticism I have is on the website, which could give a bit more detailed information on what to expect for ignorant travelers like myself (example: awareness of heavy volcanic dust on Bromo). Overall though, one of my favorite experiences traveling in Indonesia, with amazing, otherworldly landscapes and an incredible guide!

3-Day Bromo Ijen sunrise tour

On day 1 we visited jodipan and Kampung Biru Arema in all it's colourfull glory. Afterwards we drove from Malang to Mt Bromo. Day 2 started with an early alarm clock at 2 A.M.. We climbed Mt Bromo with the jeep and saw an unforgettable sunrise. Day 3 had once again an early start (2 A.M.), we climbed Mt Ijen on foot and arrived on time for the sunrise, unfortunately it was very cloudy at the top. After a while the wind cleared the sky so we could take better pictures. We had an amazing journey with Yogi as our friendly Dutch/English speaking guide, and Risky as our happy and experienced driver.

A fantastic short tour - amazing sunrises

We had the most fantastic time on our tour. Everything was smooth and well organised. Our tour guide Rahman was brilliant - really friendly and took some amazing photos of us (he's like a professional photographer!). Fa'it, our Java driver, and Johannes, our Bali driver, were great too. We particularly appreciated the cake stop off to celebrate a birthday! The early morning get ups are tough but worth it for the stunning views of Bromo and Ijen. Rahman knew all the best sites to go and had excellent knowledge of the area. The places we stayed (we did standard option) were great. We felt very well looked after throughout and would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Amazing experience with Java Adventure Trail!

My husband and I booked the 3 days/2 nights tour of Mount Bromo/Ijen from Ubud with Java Adventure Trail and it was easily one of our favourite tours in Indonesia! Communicating and coordinating with Sofyan from the very beginning was so easy and organized. He answered all my questions and was always responsive and transparent, with updates of the blue fire (still closed when we went). Our tour guide was Faruq and our driver was Fait and we could not have asked for a better team to escort us around. The drives were very long but they both kept us very entertained (karaoke in the car and many great stories shared), it felt like we were on a road trip with friends. The driver Fait is a pro navigating the hectic roads and traffic. He even invited us to his mom's restaurant to have an authentic Indonesian lunch at their house! The also team stopped by a market to buy us snake fruit and mangosteen since we had mentioned wanted to try it earlier. Faruq was a great guide throughout our treks to Bromo and Ijen. We felt very safe with him and he always made sure we were hiking at a comfortable pace, and waited for me when I fell behind haha. He even knew of some secret lookouts to avoid the crowds and was always willing to take countless photos of us =) Thank you Sofyan, Faruq and Fait for the great memories! Definitely recommend! Overall the tour was good

Ijen and Bromo were both incredible mountains. Bali driver Yohannes was great. He had lots of information for us and took us to a nice spot for lunch. At the ferry we met Yogi, our guide, while in Java. Everything was fine with Yogi other then a couple directional and communication issues. He is fairly new to guiding so I am sure he will get better with more experience. Java driver Adi got us where we needed to go. We were disappointed Java Adventure Trail told us the day before that we couldn't do blue fire hike. Make sure regulations have changed if blue fire is something you want to see. Hotel Teras in Ijen was fantastic. Bromo lodge was in a perfect location but coukd use some tlc.

breathtaking experience

I would definitely recommend doing that trip to Java. When coming from Bali you experience a different culture, language and ofcourse the breathtaking views at Bromo and Ijen. The tour was very well organized and we felt safe all the time. Our guide faruq answered all our questions and explained us many details. he also taught us new words from his language. Especially my wife liked learning bad words …… tschantschoo and so on … Please note that the trip involves many hours of driving. But our driver Bums was really crazy and shortened the drive. Felt like fast & furious.

Amazing Experience

Our guide Ari was amazing, he gave us many interesting facts as we passed by different places and also showed us the most scenic photo spots that allowed us to capture the beautiful scenery. He was very responsible and always looked out for us, and made this trip great. Our driver Holis was really skillful in navigating the difficult traffic conditions and always made sure we reached our destination on time (or even earlier!), and was always alert even when we had to set off earlier due to potential heavy traffic. Highly recommend!

BEST trip to start with the year!

The whole experience was amazing. We booked the tour on Java adventures and Faruq and Wahyu were our local guides. They were super helpful and considerate, picked us up from the airport at Bali and took us all the way to Ijen and Bromo. Faruq also found us an awesome spot at the sunrise viewpoint at Bromo where we got the best sunrise views and photos. The accommodations they booked us were also clean and comfy and close to the hiking trail. Overall it was a very good experience travelling with Java adventures and I will definitely come again for more!

Most memorable and best-guided trip by Ari

This 3 days and 2 nights Java Adventure Trail trip to Bromo and Ijen has been the most memorable and one of our highlights for the trip and a great way to end the year 2022. We were guided by Ari, who is just excellent and attentive. He helped coordinate and prepare us by telling us what to expect, the history and culture of each location. He speaks excellent English and is very knowledgeable, reliable and provided us with valuable insights. Even though the weather was less than ideal, understandable considering it was rainy season in December, Ari guided us during our hikes up and down the volcanoes and his wealth of experience shows. Without his expert guidance, I feel that I would struggle hike up and down Mount Ijen. With his caring character, we always felt safe and confident during our hikes. We also have a superb driver who accompanies us on the trip named Holis, who navigated the roads with utmost safety and precision, and together with Ari picked all the best routes for the optimal traffic condition. As such we didn’t encounter any impediments during our 3 days trip — they also took us to eat local Nasi Padang food which was awesomely yummy. We could not have asked for more, and we are sincerely thankful to Ari’s expertise, kindness and support. We recommend anyone to take this Bromo-Ijen your with Java Adventure Trail, it is an eye-opener, and you know that you would have the best time and worry free trip if you have Ari and Holis with you. They are just more than impressive!

Adventure of a lifetime

We had such a wonderful time during our 3 day tour of Mount Bromo and Ijen from Bali. Due to rainy season, we had to make a change of itinerary and our tour guide Faruk and driver Dwi were very accommodating and flexible with that. They were also very friendly and shared a lot about Javanese/Indonesian culture and food with us during the tour. During the treks up both mountains, Faruk was very easygoing and again very flexible when we needed to take breaks. Well organized and unforgettable trip

We had such an amazing time on our 3d2n trip to Tumpak Sewu, Bromo and Ijen from Malang. Everything was well organized from the beginning and we were able to book a tour only 3 days in advance. Well planned and organized!

Went for a 3D2N trip to Bromo and Ijen with our tour guide, Farug and driver, Erfan. The trip was well planned and a good break from the hustle/bustle of urban life, where we got to see the stunning views from King Kong hill for Bromo and blue flame for Ijen. Will recommend going with Farug and Erfan as they make a good combo with good English and photography skills coupled with safe driving. 👍👍👍

One of the best adventures of my life!

I came across this tour with my brother on the recommendation of a friend. We had great expectations of the tour, and they were all exceeded, thanks to our guide Ari! We were at the best spots, had the best views of all the tour groups and also had a wonderful time. Of course, you can also do the tour alone, but with such a good guide it is much more fun. Unforgettable experience

What an amazing experience! Thank you Java Adventure Tours and our guide Ari for this beautiful trip. We did this tour in November 2022 and can highly recommend it. You have to be prepared for some long and tiring days but the rewards are definitely worth it, watching the sunrise over the volcanos, listening to and watching their natural powers is an experience unlike anything we have ever tried before. We highly recommend Java Adventure Tours, as they are very professional and organize every part of the trip from picking you up in Bali, all the transportation, hotels or home stays and taking very good care of you during these extreme experiences. Our guide Ari was wonderful and gave the tour an extra good dimension with his positive attitude, professional work and personal stories. He made us feel safe during the most extreme part of the trip, walking down the crater of Ijen to watch the blue fire at 03:00 in the morning. Also thank you to our different chauffeurs who brought us safely and comfortably all the way.

Having a guide really made our trip!

With guide Farug and driver Bams we visited Mount Ijen, Madakaripura waterfall and Mount Bromo. They picked us up from Banjuwangi and took us to all the nice spots. Although more costly than doing everything by yourself, Farug and Bams really made the trip complete. As a guide, Farug knew where the most beautiful (and less tourist-packed) spots are. He can also explain everything about the area you are visiting and Indonesian live in general. Hence, I can definitely recommend booking a tour with Farug and Bams.

Great experience! - Bromo and Ijen trip 3d 2n

We did a trip of 3d2n: Pick up from our hotel in Yogyakarta > train to Surabaya where we first met our guide and driver > Bromo > Ijen > drop off in our hotel in Bali. We had a lot of fun! Albert was our guide. He is very experienced and knowledgeable and took really good pictures for us. We felt like we were in good hands! Our driver, Orin, was also very nice and always with a smile, and we felt safe with him. Sofyan was very attentive and informative from the first time I contacted him. Bottom line - everything worked very smoothly and professionally and we had a lot of fun!!

Amazing well-organized tour with fantastic guide

My husband and I booked a 3 day 2 night tour to Mt Bromo and Ijen Crater and it was fantastic. From start to finish, everything was very well organized and seamless. As for the tour itself, even though it is a lot of traveling over a relatively short period of time, we thought it was absolutely worth it! Seeing Mt Bromo and Ijen Crater at sunrise were some of the most beautiful sights we’d ever seen. We loved our tour guide Ari and thought he did an excellent job. He was kind, knowledgeable, organized, and patient (and also spoke great English, which was helpful for us Americans). He was always willing to help and went above and beyond: for example, we both have severe food allergies and he ensured that we were safe with every meal provided on the tour. Be forewarned that the hike down into Ijen Crater is very rocky and challenging, but Ari made sure we got down and back up safely even though it was scary at times, literally holding my hand to guide me when I needed it. Our driver Fait was also great and got us to our destinations on time and safely. Thank you to the Java Adventure Trails team for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! Amazing trip with an awesome guide

We took the Mt. Bromo - Ijen crater package from Bali and it was simply amazing. Full marks to Mr. Ari and Wahnyu who were our guide and driver for throughout the journey and made sure that we are having the best java experience. Starting from taking care of our homestay to explaining the small details about the trip, Mr. Ari ensured that we are not compromising on anything. Now talking about the trip, both Mt. Bromo and Ijen crater are special in their own way. Mount Bromo is one of the most incredible volcanoes in the world. It just so happens to be surrounded by several other volcanoes in one of the most magnificent landscapes you will ever set eyes on. Kudos to our guide who knew the best sunrise point to capture stunning pictures. Trekking up to the Mount Ijen Crater Volcano is one of the most epic adventures in East Java and again, kudos to our guide Mr. Ari for ensuring all the safety measures. Excellent trip with great guide

We did the tour pick up from Surabaya - Bromo - Ijen - transfer to Bali WhatsApp communication from booking was excellent. Our guide Faruq was excellent, we were travelling as a family with our 7 year old son and Faruq was so good with him and so kind which made the trip really enjoyable. Our driver Wahyu was great too, very considerate and an excellent driver.

Java highlights

Our trip to Indonesia hasn't finished, but this sure is one of the highlights allready. It is quite an intense tour to do, but you will see amazing views and beautiful sights. Our guide Andre took some amazing photos and films of us. It is highly recommended to take this tour.
