Unforgettable Camping

I am so glad we decided to do the camp over night trip. Going up was a harder hike than I thought it was going to be, but our guide was very patient. Going back down was a lot easier. It was so worth it, the sun rise in the morning from our tent was spectacular.

Mt. Batur Camping Tour

Very well organized and taken care of down to the last detail. Had good food. The nice thing is that you don't walk up together with hundreds of others. In the afternoon you walk up almost alone. And at night you are almost alone on the mountain. By the time you wake up, there are still masses of other tourists on the mountain. The sun shelter is also definitely worth it.

This one was more than prefect. We were alone on top of the batur at night. Our guide Gede was amazing. He took great pictures of us and gave us all the time in the world to explore everything. Do it!

Spectacular

Absolutely amazing experience, I had such a brilliant time! Even though there wasn’t really a sunset due to clouds, cooking eggs in volcano steam and the dinner the boys made us was incredible! We then drank Arak, beer and played cards until late. Really good relaxed atmosphere and being there before tourists arrived for sunrise with coffee in hand was great!

An All Inclusive Journey to Mount Batur

such a nice tour we did. Funny guide and the whole team was so helpful and supportive. Thanks for all the services provided. Spend the night in a tent under the milky way with million of stars. Take the tour with overnight makes such a difference to the hundred of people coming up early in the morning. Would do it again!

Adventure for the whole family

We did the camping tour with our children (4-9y). The guide was so patient with us and helped the kids when the trail was a little bit tricky. On the top, we got warm drinkings and a delicious meal. We woke up at 5.30am, with tea and breakfast and a stunning sunrise. We really enjoyed it. Sleeping in a tent, on a vulcano was definitely an unforgettable adventure for the whole family.

While I recently enjoyed a sunset tour of Mount Batur, I believe overnight camping is the ideal way to fully appreciate both the sunset and sunrise. It's definitely worth including in your Bali itinerary! I'm already planning to do overnight camping on my next trip to Bali in nine months.

10/10 experience

We loved it very much!!! We were with the 2 of us and 1 guide, gEDE. The trek was not easy but after 2 hours we got at the top and boiled some eggs in de vulcano and got some snacks and a warm drink. The food was really good and the sunrise was breathtaking. Would really recommend 10/10 experience

Mount Batur Camping

Our guide Gede, was very good! Tents, sleeping bag, post-hike snack, dinner and breakfast were provided as well as headlights and water. It was a good decision climb up in the afternoon (3-5pm) then camp overnight and wake up (5am) for the sunrise instead of hike up Mount Batur in the wee hours of the morning.

Sunset And Sunrise

The guide was very nice! The effort is worth it for both the sunset and the sunrise, we were a bit unlucky that it was quite cloudy and we managed to take a few photos but perhaps even more impressive to glimpse the sun in the clouds. Absolutely to do!!

The tour on the volcano was great :) From picking you up at the accommodation to the end of the tour, everything was super organized. My driver & the guide on the volcano were very nice and took really good care of me. I can therefore only recommend it. The camping and the great sunset and sunrise were an experience that I will not soon forget :)

Mount Batur Camping

We thought it was a super cool experience! Partly bcoz of our guide. Boiling eggs on the steam from the volcano is of course cool, and having a beer around the campfire in the evening with a beautiful starry sky is magical. But if you are having breakfast in the morning while watching the sunrise. And that while hundreds of people are crammed together one level higher, you feel completely special. In short, definitely recommended!

Sleeping In The Tent

Can highly recommend the camping. In the evening when we arrived some eggs were being cooked with the heat of the volcano and had it not been for too many clouds it would have been a beautiful sunset. Sleeping in the tent was better than expected. We were only a minute from the crater. In the morning you are woken up by the ascending tourists, but you can relax in the tent while the others struggle up. We enjoyed the sunrise very relaxed from the tent. Overall it was a nice new experience for us.

The tour, beginning with a smooth pick-up from our Ubud hotel by two experienced drivers, led us to the volcano's base. We hiked for two hours to the summit, set up our tents, and enjoyed dinner. Although I previously undertook a sunset tour of Mount Batur, I found that overnight camping truly captures the magic of both sunset and sunrise. A visit to this site is unquestionably worthwhile while exploring Bali!
