Half-Day Tour: Uluwatu Temple and Kecak Fire Dance Show

Best driver! Uluwatu temple.

Second day with our driver and now family friend Kristda. Weather was not great and we had to adjust our plans. Kristda was very flexible and knowledgeable on thing that we could do in the weather. We went to the Utuwatu temple ! Amazing ! Got som great pictures !

Nice tour von Dekwi

Our Guido‘s name is Dekwi! We are satisfied and enjoyed with him. He took us to Padang Padang Beach but my husband doesn’t like to stay there! It is very beautiful beach but too many people and humid. Then he took us to Lumbung Sari Pecatu! We could try several coffee and tea! And Luwan coffee! It was not special for us but very interesting! We thank you for Dekwi to have a beautiful experience ! Thank you indeed Dekwi^^

Top-notch. We can't rate it highly enough!

Simply excellent. From the beginning to the end. Very well organized and our tour guide - apart from his exceptional English - provided us a lot of help, making sure that we, for example, behaved the right way while confronting monkeys, who stole right in front of us smartphones, sun and prescription glasses, bags and hats from other tourists; we remained unharmed thanks to our guide - who also intervened several times to protect us. Kecak Fire Dance Show follows the same Ramayana story as everywhere in Indonesia. But don't get mistaken: the performance is unique and, even if the story is classic, you'll enjoy it a lot. If you miss this trip, you'll deeply regret it afterwards. Highly recommended. By the way, communication with the company was top-notch, too.

Beautiful experience with a great guide!

Agusto was a great guide! He was very prompt picking me up and knew where to go and be to have the most authentic, smooth afternoon. It was really nice that he gave guidance in some places but still left time for me to explore on my own in each place! I would definitely recommend this to solo travelers or groups.

Great tour guide

Benik is a wonderful tour guide. Very kind and speaks English well. We were able to understand everything he said, and he was very gracious. He even had cold towels for us after the beach. Benik picked us up and took us to a beach in Uluwatu. It was very relaxing on the big blue pillow chairs to have something to drink. However the water was pretty nasty with more trash than I’ve ever seen in the water at any beach in my life. After about an hour there, we went directly to the fire dance, which was very interesting. Overall, I would say our guide, Benik, made it excellent.

First Bali tour.

It was great to have Peter as our driver. He was very kind and helpful. The tour was difficult for my husband as he has mobility issues.

Engaging, eye opening and amazing

Dika was a fantastic tour guide, prompt and efficient and answered any and all questions we had about the tour and our questions about Balinese language and culture. The experience was amazing, would recommend to anyone.

Uluwatu trip

Wah Ko is a good driver. He took me to to Padang Beach and to the Kecak Dance at the Uluwatu Temple. He is a good guide and a good photographer. I definitely recommend him.

Great driver, fantastic company, lovely temple, interesting cultural experience

Hire Bali Driver (HBD) is a fantastic tour and taxi company in Bali. This was the second tour they helped us with: We had originally booked a similar tour with another company, but when that fell through, HBD was able to help us find a driver on the very same day to do a customized version of their Uluwatu half-day tour. And then when my husband fell ill on the way, our driver showed absolutely zero annoyance or irritation about having to drive my husband all the way back to our hotel and then take me alone back to Uluwatu for seeing the dance ceremony. Our driver’s name was Dekwi, and he was friendly, polite, open, and informative. I highly recommend this company for any driving tour or taxi ride you may want to take in Bali. You just contact them via WhatsApp, and they respond quickly and are just so helpful. We can’t say enough about how happy we’ve been with their services during our Bali holiday.

Gorgeous view from Uluwatu and fascinating fire dance with great costumes. Our guide was extremely helpful in making certain our experience was enjoyable. The monkeys are aggressive at the temple and the sun quite hot so having a guide to assist really made it enjoyable plus he knew all the shortcuts to avoid the heavy traffic. Highly recommend!

Impressive Fire Dance Show and your

Berata gave us a great tour of the Uluwatu temple area and placed us perfectly in the outdoor theater for the Kevak Fire Dance Show. We were then able to leave by a rear staircase and get our car for a rapid exit. Berata explained his culture and beliefs all the while driving expertly on the very crowded streets.

Memorable tour, view and performance

The Fire Dance theater is large but it is amazing how many people they can fit there. The dance was colorful and exotic. Luckily they provide you with a paper describing the story - you then can use the paper to fan yourself. The view of the sun setting into the ocean is beautiful. Our tour guide, Wayan Berata, did a great job with our tour. He was able to modify it to accommodate our preference of no beach. He really knows how to utilize shortcuts to get us to and from our destinations. A very pleasant and professional guide.

Highly recommend!

This was our third time driving with Winata. As usual, he was very accommodating and enthusiastic throughout the tour. We had an amazing swim at Padang Padang beach, followed by an unforgettable time at Uluwatu Temple for the kecak dance in the rain (no stress, they gave us ponchos 😂).

Fantastic Experience at Uluwatu

This tour showcases a lot of the Balinese culture which was very interesting. We loved Udi and his enthusiasm while on the tour! Udi went above and beyond by bringing us snacks while we waited for the show to start and gave us a guided tour of the temple explaining the significance of multiple areas. Udi was easy to talk to and very friendly. I hope that others have the chance to experience what we did with Udi! Thank you!

Great visit with driver Yande

Great tour of uluwatu and kecak fire dance with a nice halfway stop at the padang padang beach. Our driver, Yande, was very kind and patient with us and made sure we were always comfortable. He gave us insights about the temple and Bali. We highly recommend this tour and our tour guide Yande!

Very nice tour

Yande picked us up right on time at our hotel. He provided us with some nice insights about Bali. While yande purchased our tickets for the fire dance, we could discover the temple. Yande also had water bottles in the car, which was a nice touch in the humid weather.

Dreambeach, padang padang and Uluwatu

Made surya was perfect in all. He want to show us all the culture about Bali, you can ask whatever you want to him and he Will answer with all his love. He is very attentive, helpfull, friendly and lovely. If we can we repeat with him in the others excursions in Bali. Beaches was perfect and very beautiful. Thanks a loooooot made surya!!!

Kecak fire dance show and temples

We could fully enjoy our day visiting temples like the Tanah Lot and watching the Kecak fire dance show in the evening. Our driver Sunarta contributed a lot. He was very kind and patient. He was always waiting until we wanted to leave and told us a lot of history about the temples which was very interesting. Besides, he gave us a few secret tips, for example where to sit in the dance arena. All in all, we can recommend this tour to everybody who wants to experience a lot without any stress of planning and driving.

Excellent trip with splendid driver/guide

We had an excellent experience with Winata from Hire Bali Driver. Good communication before the trip via what’s app, very safe driving, and above all Winata was a very nice driver/guide who told us many things about the surroundings. Because it was my birthday and I asked for a special diner, HBD suggested the Sundara restaurant in Jimbaran. This was so beautiful. So an excellent experience with HBD and especially Winata.

Fun Uluwatu Temple visit

Incredible to watch and we had a fantastic tour guide who was very fun and informative. He encouraged us to ask many questions. Just make sure to leave early because of traffic.

HBD gave us a great experience! We booked very last minute (an hour in advance) and they found a way to make it work. We were really impressed with their turnaround time. Also, the SUV they sent was modern, spacious, and clean. Dika, our driver, was amazing in every way! Very kind, helpful, and polite. We felt safe with him and had fun at the same time! Before we booked, I was dreading such a long drive (about an hour), but it seems very short with the great conversation we had on the way there. On the way back, we both feel asleep in the car, but when we woke up we were right in front of our villa and our villa is hard to find so his memory with directions is impressive too. We can’t say enough nice things; if you decide to book with “Hire Bali Driver”, make sure you request Dika!

Amazing afternoon in Uluwatu temple with Merta

Merta who is Wayan co-host has been just truly amazing during the whole trip. He told me a lot about the temple and gave me all the information I needed to be able to follow the kecak fire dance in perfect conditions. He is so easy to communicate with that he made this experience one of my favourite of my trip in Bali. I cannot recommend him enough ! You will be in good hands with Merta! He is simply the best!

Risma is the best!

We took a tour with Risma and he was awesome. He educated us about culture and traditions of Bali. Brought us to the wonderful lunch place. Climbed to every temple. My 6 yo enjoyed trip with him a lot. We saw, learned and enjoyed it a lot.

The best layover ever!

Hire Bali Driver was such a heaven-sent answer to countering long boring hours of layover in the airport. My driver, Yudi, was a good driver, great photographer (instagram levels!), and knowledgeable guide. I was very very happy I got to see a bit of Bali, even for just a few hours. This short trip definitely convinced me to be back for longer as soon as possible, and still going to do it with Hire Bali Driver and Yudi the next time! :) All possible stars rating!
