A great day

Our family was super excited for a boat day around the Whitsundays and Cheeky was the perfect boat for us! Chris and Zoe were a great team and took us to all the best spots. We fed fish, snorkeled with turtles, played on Whitehaven. It was fab! They were so polite, fun and played great music!

I could not recommend the Freedom chart more. We were a family with 10 people and it was so worth it to have a boat all to ourselves and enjoy the beautiful activities planned by the team. Alex and Zoe were absolutely fantastic, they made the day really great!

Incredible day on Cheeky

Our 6 hour cruise on Cheeky was amazing! We could not have asked for a better crew with Mitch and Matt (Swanny). Mitch effortlessly glided us through the rather large swells that day and took us to some incredible snorkeling with no one around. Swanny was a great guide showing us the “must see” around the reefs. Thank you for a great day!

A private charter is well worth it

We had a great time with Chris and Jessica, who was so kind. They took great care of us, including setting up a picnic for us on Whitehaven Beach. We weren't the most experienced group in terms of swimming and comfort in the water, yet they were so patient and understanding. Doing this as a private charter allowed us to go at our own pace and make adjustments to fit our interests.

Boat Charter

We had a great day out on "Cheeky" with the team. They understood what we were after and took us to the best spots for both fish and coral. My sister, bother in law and nieces were over from the UK so it was great to show them something very Australian. The team are highly recommended.

Magical day in paradise, the Crewe were fabulous, everything was perfect. Lovely way to spend a day in the Whitsundays with friends.

Great experience, perfect size, great fun

Our experience onboard Cheeky was fantastic! We were crewed by Stu, Chris and Kane, all of whom were knowledgable, friendly and excellent babysitters! We headed out promptly at 8am which allowed us to have Chalkies to ourselves, and a very quiet Whitehaven. We appreciated the tent on the beach and loved the beach games (cricket, rugby balls and buckets/spades), esp for our children. We had previously looked at bigger (more expensive) boats but in reality Cheeky was perfect for us (2 adults, 2 children). We would certainly recommend!

Sunset done right!

We had the most amazing sunset cruise on "Cheeky". The Skipper and Hostess were accommodating and welcoming to us. A great way to finish our final evening in Hamilton Island. The worst part was it ending so quickly! Highly recommend this with a group of friends or family.

Cheeky charter was the best!

We had an amazing time on our six-hour charter. Emily and Cody were so knowledgeable and helpful in finding the perfect snorkeling spots. The boat was in immaculate condition and all the details were attended to. We had such a great time that we chartered a second day because there is so much to see. Beautiful landscape, wonderful people and the picnic on the beach was the best. Thank you and we cannot wait to return someday. Highly recommend this charter group.

Best day trip ever!

Best day trip ever! We booked the 6 hour private charter with Freedom charters and we had the best day trip ever! To start off with, our vessel “Cheeky” is so nice and clean with comfortable seats. Our host Amelia and Skipper Chris are simply beyond fantastic! They are both so lovely to talk to and super helpful in making sure we have the best time! We went to the chalkie beach for snorkelling followed by turtle spotting and wrapped up swimming at the Whitehaven beach. We have also ordered catering through Freedom and the food is so fresh and delicious. It’s certainly not the cheapest trip but it’s worth every penny! Well done team Freedom Charters! We will be back!

A day spent travelling around the Whitsunday islands on a beautiful boat, experiencing the magic of the Whitsundays .

We had to the most magic day circumnavigating Whitsunday island from Hamilton Island up to Hayman island and back. We experienced the beauty of the Whitsundays, from the white sandy beaches, the magnificent coral, the unbelievably beautiful fish, even treated to a whale with her calf. We saw all the resorts on the different islands, even called into Palm Bay resort for a drink. Our crew were wonderful Chris, driver and guide and Ella host and guide were wonderful. Chris went out of his way to meet all our expectations and exceeded them. We felt completely confident with his driving of the beautiful boat and enjoyed his incredible knowledge of the Whitsundays. Ella looked after all our needs and more, as well as giving us more fascinating information about the islands. We would highly recommend the Freedom Charters and highly recommend the premium charter, well worth it. The boat is beautiful to travel in. Thanks Chris and Ella for a truly wonderful day.

Fantastic trip

It was a fantastic tour. We had nice guides. We did abreast snorkelling. We enjoyed the whole day. The countryside is no nice.

Perfect day, magnificent tour

Chris and Ella (drivers and guides) were terrific. Both very knowledgeable, competent and safe. Perfect day of snorkeling (took us to quiet coral reef where we had the place to ourselves) followed by a visit to Whitehaven beach and a tour of the islands. Highly recommend.

A great family day in the Whitsundays!

We had a great day touring the Whitsundays from Hamilton Island! Chris and Ella were great with the kids, safety conscious, friendly and did everything they could to accommodate our preferences. We snorkeled, visited Whitehaven beach and overall a fantastic day in the Whitsundays! Amazing day with family!

Fantastic 4 hour cruise

We had an incredible time on our charter with Captain Mick. We were able to fit in an impressive amount of locations for our 4 hour cruise. Extremely happy with Mick and his knowledge of the local history and fun facts about the Whitsundays.

Nice overall but disappointing as far as what we paid

Our guides were great and definitely tried to make us all feel comfortable. I didn't feel like we got to do enough of what we had hoped most to do though, which was to snorkel. We were out there for about 20 min (maybe 30 if I'm being generous?) and the tour we had booked was for 6 hours. So needless to say, it was a little disappointing! Our time at Hill Inlet took a pretty good little chunk of the day as well as WhiteHaven Beach and I felt more time could have been devoted to snorkeling since that was what we said was our main desire for the day. But all that aside (those are things that could easily be remedied) - we ultimately wished we had just saved the $3k or whatever we spent on this and just booked one of the group charters. The small boat experience is really not fun with the waves and the larger boats provide a smoother ride with basically the same experience (and bathrooms!). We had booked a private experience on a previous vacation and the guide was a wealth of local knowledge and stories. We never forgot that experience and I guess thought this might be similar. On this tour, we went to all the places that the group charters were at so it wasn't super unique. I appreciated that we got GoPro footage of our trip and how kind the guides were. One of our guides gave us some info on Hill Inlet that was really interesting. Also appreciated the tent they had for us while on WhiteHaven Beach as it was super hot and the sun was blazing. Wished I had left my stinger suit on so that I could have escaped the heat on the beach but it was back on the boat, which was way out in the water.

Amazing family day - highly recommend

Jack and Chris were brilliant hosts, brought us to the best places for snorkelling and the quietest beaches. Amazing day, they were great with the kids (family of 7, kids from 20 down to 10) highly recommend as a must do if you are on Hamilton or daydream island

An Amazing Experience

This was one of the best experiences ever. We were with Mick and Ian and they took very good care of us. Especially me, as I am very scared of water yet Ian was always beside me and gave me the assurance I needed. The Snorkel was amazing and the private beach experience was extraordinary. Will definitely do it again!

Amazing Experience

We were accompanied by Mick and Ian for the Half-Day charter. Both of them were fantastic and we had a great time! They were very professional and extremely nice. My mom especially is terrified of water, however, Ian took good care of her and guided her well. The highlights of the charter was the independence of doing things at your own pace, the reefs they showed us, and the private beach experience. Will definitely go again and recommend it for everyone.

Great Day on the water!!!

Everything about our half-day with Mick and Jack was awesome. Boat was clean, perfect size, and team had everything well prepared - including sorting out snorkel gear, lunch order, itinerary, etc. Highly recommend it. Not inexpensive, but worth every penny.

Outstanding!!!!

We had a a great day out with the guys at Freedom Charters, took us snorkelling in an area with a heap of fish and coral then to Whitehaven for a few drinks, a swim and some nibbles. It was an outstanding day!!!!

Unforgettable experience not to be missed!!

The amazing Adele went above and beyond to help out even when Jetstar cancelled our flights and messed with our booking. The experience was absolutely fantastic and Skipper Luke on the day was very knowledgable of the Whitsundays and took us on a breathtaking trip to some spectacular spots and created a beautiful charcuterie board and picnic on a deserted island. My family and I were in awe of this pristine area and very grateful for the wonderful day out. Highly recommend using these guy for your tours. It was lots of fun! 10/10

Whitsundays gems like no other

These guys are absolutely amazing. Very professional and extremely knowledgable crew who made us feel comfortable and catered to all our needs. We saw most of the Whitsundays gems, including Whitehaven beach, Hill Inlet and the crew also took us to a magical snorkelling spot where we saw many special fish including Maori Wrasse & GTs. We also saw a whale and a turtle, what else could one wish for!!!! Thank you Jarrod and Tiana for such a magical and adventure filled experience :) highly recommend to anyone who wants to avoid the crowds and is looking for something special!

Fantastic day out, at our leisure

Fantastic day out, at our leisure on the Europa. Started off with a visit to Whitehaven Beach before the crowds arrived. The sand is amazing. Ventured to the lookout with our guide and then chilled for a bit on the beach. Wanted to move on to a spot for snorkelling (which we had paid an additional $300) as Whitehaven didn't have much to offer in the way of snorkelling. Went to a location not too far away and as we neared the location spotted whales so stopped the engine (just short of our snorkelling spot) and watched until they left. Carried on the short distance to our snorkelling spot which we could snorkel at our leisure for about 45 mins with our guide hovering around and pointing out a few things. We did the 6 hour option which was just enough (allowing 1 hour out and another back), probably would have preferred the 7 or 8 hours to stay at Whitehaven a bit longer or venture to another snorkelling spot. Food provided was great (we opted for the $20pp option) - muffins, brownie and wraps. More than enough for all of us. Highly recommended.

Overpriced and Disappointing food

We went for a 7 hour premium charter last week around Hamilton Island. - Our boat skipper was lovely and so was his deck hand. Both were very courteous and lovely people - the tour itself was also good -We were made to pay an extra $300 for a "tour guide". It turns out the "tour guide" was actually the deck hand who was sent on hikes with us (he was a nice guy) but he knew NOTHING about the area at all. He did not give us any information about the area and did not know anything. We had to eavesdrop on other tour guides from other groups to get some information about the area. The second person is meant to be on the boat anyway to guide the skipper, etc. So why charge us $300 for a person who is already going to be on the boat. When we went snorkelling he gave us 20 min in the water and rushed us to get out of it (when we were enjoying) telling us that time was up. When in fact we still had 45 min left for snorkelling time. Once we were out we asked the skipper and he agreed to let us snorkel at another destination on the way back but that spot was not great. - After paying for a premium serivce there are no food or drinks included - no problem as they told us at the begining. We ordered a "charcuterie board" which was meant to be our lunch. That was a joke! We paid $110 and it was barely enough for 4 people as a morning tea - let alone a meal to last us the whole day. We got 4-5 crackers each and 2 small pieces of carrots, capsicums, some cheese and a couple of cherry tomatoes and 1 spoon of olives. That was definitely not lunch for 4 people by any means. It was very disappointing and we were all absolutely starving at the end of it all. For the price that is charged for this tour a generous lunch should be provided anyway. And if someone has paid extra then at the least it should be enough to fill up 4 people. I saw other cruises (not private) doing generous BBQs for their guests on whitehaven island. At least have enough food for lunch esp when you are charging extra for lunch. We were very disappointed by these things mainly. Other than that the boat was lovely.

Such a great way to get around. I did not realise the distances between places. These are fast boats so you spend more time at destination rather than getting there.. Hook Island is amazing if you like snorkelling. Stay here as long as possible I just loved the fish.. Big GT's, Maoris Wrasse, bat fish and many more amongst all the beautiful tiny colourful ones too. We got the catered option and it was pretty good. yummy sandwiches and fruit and an antipasto platter also.. would do this again for sure.

Private snorkelling experience

What an amazing day, Matt and Tom were excellent guides, very knowledgeable and great guys. The seas were a little angry but Matt not only made the ride comfortable but also a lot of fun. Tom’s guidance in the water was fantastic, he pointed out some incredible features that you might otherwise miss. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

Best private snorkel tour off Hamilton Island

Amazing half day tour with Luke, Adele and Jay. Highly recommend for anyone keen to see the best snorkelling spots, enjoy a beautiful boat with wonderful hospitality. The guys were able to guide us to untouched parts of the reef for a private snorkelling adventure. They provided everything and made sure the day was very comfortable and suited our abilities.

Amazing day out, highly recommended!

This was a great day out with Luke and Jay! They took us to turtle island, a fantastic secluded beach. Went out of their way to go above and beyond and show us things we wouldn’t have seen. Our family (including a 6 month old baby) took the private tour for my wife’s birthday… our crew were Ian and Jay. They were both professional and exceptionally friendly. They made us feel so special. The snorkelling was fantastic. When we returned to Hamilton Harbour they asked if there was anything more they could have done to make our trip more enjoyable… our answer was “No everything was perfect”. They were both great ambassadors for the company.

“Best day of my life”

The team took our family of 4 (incl. a 7 and 9 year old) from Hamilton Island to Whitehaven Beach and snorkelling the coral and sea life off Chalkies Beach (the kids jumping off the side of the boat). On the way back to the boat from snorkelling our 7 year old exclaimed “this is the best day of my life”. You can’t ask for better feedback than that! Matt and Jay were brilliant, the boat was (fast) and fun and the experience unforgettable.

Best Experience

We recently experienced an amazing day out with Freedom Charters. There were six of us in our group, two couples each with a teenage son. We had the opportunity to select what we would like to do. We went to two incredible snorkeling locations as well as Whitehaven Beach. Our guides for the day were Jarrod and Emily. They were fantastic! They were experienced, friendly, funny and knowledgeable. They definitely contributed to making our day memorable. We couldn't recommend this tour and these guides more highly. Thank you.

Island Time

We experienced the Europa premium Private Charter with catering. I am in my third trimester of pregnancy, so we only booked the 4 hour express option. Was lots and lots of fun. Jarryd was our skipper and he made the experience enjoyable and was very knowledgeable. We went to Honeymoon Bay and Whitehaven. The food was fresh and delicious and the BYO option was excellent for the other 7 who could drink. The company supplied beach umbrellas, picnic mat, Eskys full of ice and water and also cutlery, plates etc... Highly recommend the 2pm time as you get to see the beginning of the sun set on the way home.

Dream Team. Personalised experience, relaxed fun, with serious knowledge on hand. 2 Actual Marine Biologists. Some of us have done this before in a more luxury vessel and we would still do this again for sure. Awesome local knowledge, timing and suggestions.

Beautiful day

Día genial de principio a fin, pasando por la playa de whiteheaven, continuando por la isla de hook (manta ray bay) para hacer snorkeling (peces de todos los colores y tamaños, corales de colores, ..), langford island y finalizando la vuelta con la puesta de sol. Equipo genial formado por Chris y Emily, eran encantadores, nos recomendaban dónde ir, los mejores sitios acorde con el viento y marea y se adaptaron a nuestras necesidades en todo momento. Cuando bajábamos a las playas montaban una especie de tienda con lona para zona de picnic y sombra. Nosotros cogimos el pack extra de aventura por 300 dólares que incluye guía para hacer snorkeling y el equipamiento con stinger suits (hemos ido en temporada de medusas), solo nos faltó ver tortugas y mantas rayas. Esperemos que a la próxima. Sin duda repetiríamos! Lovely perfect day! Thank you!
