Last minute canceled

Safari tour booked. We had to drive a long way to get to the meeting point. Tom knew that. Still he had the nerves to wait upto ten minutes before our arrival when he texted(!) us to let us know that he had to cancel the tour, because the car was out of order. You can imagine our disappointment and anger. Also the communication was terrible!

Last minute canceled by Tom after driving hour and 30 minutes.

Tom really did a number on us. We called before booking online to see if its all good and available. During the phone call he told us about our tour and how it should go etc. So far so good. But, we didn't quite catch what the meeting point was so we tried calling. Didn't pick-up. So we tried 7 times in total to call him, both on the same day and the day we were supposed to be given the tour (we booked in day in advance). He didn't answer our calls once. So, we assumed it was the Cawen castle since that sounded like the place he told us to meet. Which was a 1,5 hour drive from our holiday cottage. Before leaving and during the drive we tried calling Tom several times. No succes. 10 minutes before we arrived he finally responded on our texts (we had sent several by then)! "the touring car isn't available, so unfortunately I have to cancel the tour' Furiously we drove all the way back home again, seriously what an awful experience, totally not what the rest of Whales shows in contrast to what kind of aditude Tom showed us.

Disappointed

Unfortunately I tried to book this 4 x 4 Tour as part of my Husbands 70th birthday celebrations, we are due to be visiting the area so I thought this would be ideal for him. Booking was completed but the next day I received an email to say my booking had been rejected by the Tour Operator but not giving me another details or reason for the rejection. Out of principle I would not use this firm of booking a tour. Very disappointed.

Cancelled.

I can't comment on the trip itself unfortunately as the booking was cancelled a few days later without any word or notification. I just happened to be double checking everything was in order, otherwise my partner and I would have arrived on a very special day and been very disappointed. Check and recheck the booking I would say just in case.

A disaster

The tour operator is out of reach, a disaster and I lost a good memory in good weather. I was very angry.

Essential Day Out in Pembrokeshire

This is an essential day out if you are visiting Pembrokeshire. 5 hours of great scenery and views that we would never have found on our own. Our tour guide Joe is a local and gave us all the local knowledge and history. Bonus was the homemade bara brith which was amazing. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice, but not what we expected

Our guide Tom was delightful, enthusiastic, polite and concerned about our comfort and safety. We’d booked and were charged for a private tour, but agreed to share it with others when requested to do so. The reason we booked a private tour is because it’s impossible to see all that’s promised in 5 hrs. We enjoyed the many beautiful beaches, but had most looked forward to getting photos of the 3 castles mentioned in the trip information. We stopped for a photo at Pembroke Castle, but only got a photo of the top of Manobier Castle through the car window. We missed beautiful Carew Castle and tidal mill completely because we ran an hour behind schedule already, from seeing the many beaches. Others mentioned snacks and water in their reviews which were not offered in ours. I’m not sorry we went on this tour, but was left disappointed. I guess we were fortunate to go however, because the tour we’d been confirmed on the next day was cancelled with no explanation or apology. As I stated earlier, our guide Tom was great, but the management leaves room for improvement.

Great!

Spent today with Joe, really enjoyed our tour. Comfortable ride and good cake, easy to talk to with lots of local knowledge- going back to stackpole tomorrow to walk some of the places we were shown today- probably best to do this trip earlier in the holiday so have more ideas about where to head for later!

Well worth it

Lovely day out with joe. He shared some gems with us that we never would have found. Friendly, knowledgeable and good humoured joe made it a great experience and well worth doing. A must to see the hidden side of Pembrokeshire. Thanks joe.

Best tour of Pembrokeshire 100% recommend

If you’re visiting South Pembrokeshire, then this little gem is a must. 5 hours of wonderful scenery and exquisite beach’s and views we would never have found on our own. Joe, the owner and tour guide for the day is amazing and due to living in the area all his life knows the sights and history inside out. The homemade bara brith was amazing. Excellent safari!

Joe owns and runs the tours. He is a real local (the tour goes through his village!) and knows everything about the area. Joe took us to see places that we would not have found on our own and there are some wonderful sights. His Land Rover Defender is brilliant!

Highlight of our holiday

Great safari and you can’t beat a local tour with a local guide

Joe our guide was easy to get on with and showed good knowledge. We particularly liked the bays he took us to and was fascinated by the chapel in the rocks.

We really enjoyed our tour with Joe yesterday. It was door to door service with water and delicious home-made cake on offer. Joe is an excellent guide who is passionate about his birthplace and whose tour covers a variety of beaches, tucked away coves and castles. He gives enough information to keep the tour interesting and varied with plenty of stops for short walks and photos. Thanks Joe!

Beautiful experience

We enormously enjoyed travelling through the fields to cliffs and beaches, such as St Gonan's cave bay and other beautiful beaches hidden from the roads. Joe is a very good guide and in his friendly way he gave us the top experience of our South Wales holiday. Thank you Joe! Bernard and Zina.

The Classic Tour (Pembrokeshire)

A brilliant tour with local host Joe. He arrived on time at our B & B on time, introduced himself and gave us a safety talk and summary of where we would be going. The tour took us all around Pembrokeshire around 8 locations and others pointed out. We had a fantastic day and saw all the important places and a number if hidden secrets. He told us loads of interesting local, historical and important information. Things you wouldn't know if you weren't with him. Joe is a friendly young man from a local family. This is his own business that he set up from scratch. Hence it was authentic, relaxed and took us places we probably wouldn't have found, never mind known much about if we did. If you are coming to Tenby or surrounding area this is a must do trip. We did it in our second day which means we can now choose where to explore for the remaining holiday. We have been on trips all over the world. This is great value for money, really interesting and a great day out whether a couple or family. It was from 10 am till 3pm with a stop for dinner. Joe is friendly and provides lovely local cake baked by his mum. Highly recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed our day out with Joe. He was friendly, informative and professional. We got to see stunning sights we would never have found on our own. He knows exactly where to go! His mums Welsh cakes were very tasty. Fantastic way to see the the local area

Amazing scenery

A brilliant tour which takes you off the main roads to find the real hidden gems of the Pembrokeshire Coast. Some glorious coves and beaches you would probably never see unless you knew where you are going, and Joe tells you all you need to know about where you are. Lunch stop at a cafe by the beach at Angle which had fantastic views of the beach and bay. Joe even supplied some Welsh cakes for the journey! Well worth the money.

Great tour of the coastline

We took the trip on a rainy day, it felt warm and comfortable in the Jeep. Joe was an excellent driver and very friendly. There was lots to see along the coastline and many stops along the way. Several times we left the jeep and walked up to get the best views from the cliff tops. Lunch was a quick pit stop at a beach cafe, where service was good and the food tasty. There were many places we saw along the way that gave us an idea of where to go for the rest of our holiday. We both really enjoyed the day out.

Tours

Definitely worth your time and money. Joe is very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend this tour especially for first timers in Pembroke. Try also the fruit cake made by Joe's mum. It is one of the best cake I've tasted. ☺ 😍 Kris, Philippines

Tenby tour

Our favourite of the few days we spent in Pembrokeshire was partly down to Joe and his impressive tour. Really nice guy. Had lots to show us and explained everything so well. If you are going to visit Pembrokeshire (Tenby) I would 100% recommend the tour. I would also say best to do it at the beginning of your stay. This could help you decide what to do in the following days.

Wonderful tour and delightful host.

What a wonderful day we enjoyed with Joe in the Landrover. Stunning scenery, knowledgable commentary, a host who couldn’t do more to make us comfortable and ensure we had a perfect day...he even brought his mum’s homemade Welsh cakes for us to share; Joe was a perfect host and we recommend his tour most highly.

Great tour of Pembrokeshire - thanks Joe

My husband and I had a private hire tour of the Pembrokeshire Coast today with Joe and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Joe is very knowledgeable and very pleasant and knows all the hidden gems. We were able to see alot of things in a five hour tour, Joe certainly knows all the back roads. If you want a really impactful chance to see the best of what Pembrokeshire has to offer, go with this tour! .

great day

Had a great day exploring the coastline with Joe in his Land Rover Defender. Never been to the area before and saw this as a great opportuntity to see the highlights and get ideas of where we might return to spend more time. Our host Joe was friendly and informative and we did return to one of the great beaches the following day. Got some beautiful photos and a car parking space all day in Tenby allowed us to explore there the rest of the afternoon/ early evening too after the tour.

Looking over the cliff edge and just the feeling around the coastline that u feel was the best for me. The heavens open when we did the tour so thats why only put good as if the weathers their would of been better!

Nice chilled tour

Joe took our family on a fantastic tour around the Pembrokeshire coast line. He has great knowledge of the area and we now know where we will be going for the rest of the week. It was a lovely chilled affair and the kids were dead chuffed with their badges. I'd highly recommend Joe to anyone who wants to know a bit more about the area via a nice relaxed tour.

الجميل في التجربة معرفة جو بالمنطقة فخلال ساعات قليلة مررنا بأماكن جميلة جدا ووقفنا للتصوير وكان تعامله ممتاز بحيث اخذنا للاماكن اللي تناسب طلبنا حتى لو ماكانت ضمن الجولة. مرينا قلاع وشواطئ ومزارع وحيوانات ومحلات شعبية وكوتجات ووقفنا بمكان للغداء. ومن لطافة جو اهدانا كيك ويلزي من عمل والدته وكان مره لذيذ. عموما استمتعنا بالجولة وماكنا مستعجلين وغطينا اماكن جميلة مستحيل نمرها بمفردنا. من اجمل الذكريات, انصح فيها ولو رجعت لنفس المكان ممكن اكررها.
