Great way to meet some new people and hit some places that you would otherwise have never known existed. I left the experiences feeling much better about the world.

A fantastic way to enjoy craft cocktails & see some Vivid attractions

A wonderful way to enjoy cocktails in Sydney I likely wouldn’t have gone/found on my own. Plus, incorporating in some Vivid highlights - 5 stars from me for sure! Mitch was an incredible guide, providing great stories and encouraging us to interact with Vivid attractions I may have just walked by. Excellent tour!

Amazing bar discovery

I had a very good time at this pub crawl. The group was very nice and easy going we had a lot of fun. Even though it was heavy rain that day, the event was hosted at the perfection by Claudia. She was always looking out that everything goes smoothly. I also love the different bars we went, all very unique in their way with great drinks. I would do it again and I would recommend anyone that is still hesitating to go for it.

Awesome night on the town exploring out of the way hip bars.

Had a great time and the bars were really cool. Great way to check out some of the lesser visited bars in the CBD. We even returned to some of the bars during out trip. Our host, Mitchell was super awesome and went out of his way to take care of everyone. Also a great way to meet other people visiting Sydney.

Great Bar Tour of the Rocks Area!

We had a great time exploring bars that we wouldn't have gone to if not for the tour. Jack was very helpful in showing us around and making it a comfortable experience!

Great way to enjoy a night out. I travel solo most of the time and this is my favorite way to enjoy the night life while I’m traveling. This tour didn’t disappoint. The bars we visited were very cute and each time we arrived somewhere, everything was set up for the group. Jack, our guide was a great host as well. Highly recommend!

Solo Out & About Pub Crawl

As a solo traveler, I was nervous before the event, but wanted to do something, to remember my first day in Australia. Note, I had set in my mind to leave the event early, but Mitch was so inviting, and protective of his participants that he helped me relax and loose my fear of being in a big city all by myself. All of the sudden, I felt like - I was not alone; like e.g. I belonged to a group, part of the team, had friends, wasn't solo...He made sure we were all inclusive, and intrigued us with the stories and history of each fun place/pub/bar he studied and took us to. At the end of our alloted time, those who wanted to stay on, did so, but he had committed to ensure my safe passage back to the train station, so he escorted me safely there. This will be added to my fun experiences that I am pleased to have found on TripAdvisor. C. Bernota

Great evening out in Sydney

I loved the experience. It was great for meeting new people and get to know the city from a different perspective. Mitch was welcoming, knowledgeable and full of interesting stories. I highly recommend this activity.

Excellent tour of Sydney’s top bars

Mitch & Justin were amazing in showing us their city and its nightlife. Not only did we visit awesome bars with great drinks, we also went a step deeper in understanding the fabric of Sydney and its culture. All with some new friends too - highly recommend!!

Great way to kick-off your Sydney trip!

Joined the Saturday bar crawl around Darlinghurst & Surry Hills with four other people. Claudia our tour guide was knowledgeable of the neighborhood, and the itinerary was well-thought of while still offering some flexibility (we had the option to have some proper dinner at one of the places!) What a fun night to meet new people and explore bars that I wouldn't have thought of visiting~ Def recommend to do this!

Marble Bar and Barber shop, host Mitchell was excellent. highly recommend this tour to anyone. really good crew of people on the tour, was not a great distance between venues and the variety of beverages to choose from was really good.

Book This Tour!

Husband and I went on the Saturday night crawl with Eddie and had a FANTASTIC experience. Our group had 12-13 folks from at least 5 different countries. We hit up some incredible little bars that we would have NEVER found on our own including one that had no marked door but you looked for the loitering cowboys in the alley. Eddie dropped a little local history at each location. Absolutely recommend this tour it was a highlight of our 24 hours in Sydney.

A great night out with Mitch. Excellent company and a knowledgable host who kept us entertained and informed. The bars were very much 'off the beaten track' and really interesting. I would highly recommend this tour and a great one to do at the beginning of a stay in Sydney.

Creatuve bar tour from a local

The secret bar tour was a great way to see the different types of bars that Sydney has to offer! Was the first of two tours we did with Local Sauce Tours. Would book them again in a heartbeat! If you like trying new drinks or just want to see the more creative bar scene Sydney has to offer, this is the tour for you!

Fantastic tours with Justin. We went to two of the bar tours (Tuesday and Thursday) and visited some true gems intertwined with interesting facts about Sydney. Highly recommend!

Would Do This Again!

This was a terrific tour, and Justin was a great host. We visited a number of excellent bars we would’ve never found by ourselves. The drinks were unique, and the whole group dynamic was just as good. Justin‘s knowledge of the local bar scene put everything in context.

Terrific time!

My adult son and I had a great time with Justin on the Thursday evening Bar Tour, notwithstanding that the group happened to be small that evening. Justin was engaging and informative, and enjoyed the bars we visited. Would definitely repeat!

Amazing bar crawl tour with a knowledgeable, friendly guide! Not only did I get to know lots of fantastic local bars, but also the guide told us history about cocktails and venues, making the experience more fun!

Highly recommended

This was one of the funnest things I did in Sydney. Our guide Jack was hilarious, kept the group engaged, and gave me some really good recommendations about other things I could during my visit. The bars covered were also quite nice and some of their signature drinks are delicious!

Fun tour of great Sydney bars

Kieran was a great host for an evening visiting 4 fun and extremely varied bars in Sydney. It was a fairly relaxed bar crawl aimed more at finding high quality cocktails and food in fun venues with a small group, which is what I was seeking. This is not the sort of bar crawl that is a group of 50 going from bar to bar for shots. I met some interesting fellow travelers in the tour, and overall it was a great way to spend a Saturday evening as a solo traveler. (Note: I was a part of a Saturday evening tour, and the venues do vary by day.)

Exceptional bar tour

Justin was amazing as he took us to some quite quirky bars in the Rocks area with great cocktails. We had a great time, thanks Justin.

Secret bars sydney

Was a great evening to take some time out of our busy work week. All of the locations were great but the gin bar at the end was definitely my favourite. Will definitely be going back there for the sampling tray and to enjoy the atmosphere. Thanks Jack you were a great host.

Brilliant Insider Intro to Sydney

Fantastic evening hosted by the wonderful Kieran. The bars we visited were all brilliant and unique (mostly focused on spirits but each with a good selection of beers), and after the event we were treated to a map of the places we visited, plus a few extras. These were all hidden gems you’d struggle to find without insider knowledge. As a newbie to the city, travelling solo, it was a brilliant way to meet people of a wide span of ages, nationalities, and experiences. As well as Kieran’s natural humour (endemic to all Australians, it seems), he gave us a flavour of the history of the neighbourhoods with a few quick and highly engaging stories. Brilliant - highly recommend.

Outstanding

Very enjoyable and even historically significant. Learned a great over the event and got to experience bars I didn’t even know where there. Eddie did a fantastic job guiding us and pointing out historically significant thing for the area.

A new perspective of what Sydney has to offer

The pubs visited were very boutique and some of them were hidden as well. Even I have lived in Sydney for over 10 years, I have not been to these ones in the past. Tour guide Nina was very friendly and acknowledgeable. It gave me a new perspective of what Sydney has to offer. I would say this tour is very good for both local people and tourists.

Different bars, different drinks, different people, all great

Had tons of fun with Kieran, our tour guide, and other companions - both Australians and foreigners. I enjoyed the varied bars and drinks since they all have such distinct personalities. And true to it's name - some are quite hard to find. Great way to learn the less mainstream parts of Sydney (e.g. apparently there were female gang war leaders in the 1920s).

Must experience for SOLO TRAVELER

The guide Kieran was very nice, I was late for few minutes but he waited me there in the bar. Not only that, I forgot to bring my passport with me and I thought I couldn't join them but Justin ensured me that it would work (turned out yes!). Kieran explained all the historical street, the bar as well as the popular drinks that we consumed. It did not feel like a tour, basically it felt like we all knew each other for long time! I went there solo but I had so much fun with everyone! Definitely a must go !

Secret Bar Crawl in Sydney's CBD

I went on the Drink & Discover Secret Bar Crawl in Sydney’s vibrant CBD. With a small group of four and an enthusiastic tour guide leading the way, we embarked on an adventure to explore the city’s best-kept secret bars, each offering its own specialty recommended drinks. As a local, this is a fun way to discover your backyard and meet new people. You can go solo (which I did) or with a group of friends. So what do you get? • 3 – 4 hour guided activity • Reservations at 3 – 4 small hidden bars • 1 alcoholic drink and share snacks (eg fries) at the first bar • At the next few bars, you pay your own drink and support the local bars • Group photos • Map with recommendations after your tour It was fun, and I found new bars I've not been to before. They also have other types of tours which I'll definitely check out.

A super fun experience!

The tour was definitely of "secret" bars that we wouldnt know if not for the tour. Also the guide was very friendly and told us stories about the history of the locality or other interesting events that had happened in the vicinity. Also, all the visitors were fun and i left the tour having made some good friends.

Good experience with secret bar crawl

It was nice experience I had. If you don’t know which bar you can go, this is the tour for you. The tour guide is very nice, not only bring us to 3 nice bars, but also bring us to walk around the city and introduce little bit of history.

Fantastic way to see new bars

What a great way to see some new bars. I did this for my birthday with a group of 8 friends. Our host , Nihar, was knowledgeable and friendly. The bars were fantastic, some very different, underground, hidden doors, others more obvious. We grabbed some dinner at one along the way and Nihar helped us with where to go after the tour finished. Would definitely recommend to others.

Great Experience

The Bar Crawl tour was amazing! It was my first time experience such tour alone, and I was afraid that it would be awkward, but was totally the opposite! Kieran was very welcoming when I first arrived at the appointed destination, and he introduced me to the others in the group. To my surprise, most of the participants joined the tour alone, so solo travelers out there, this tour is very much recommended! I get to meet people from different country, some just moved to Sydney and some were just visiting. We explored 4 bars with different setting - old school 90's rock, classic Nashville style, Jamaican inspired bar and the last one is Mexican inspired. Along the way, Kieran shared some stories about the area and vicinity, which is interesting!

Great tour with great people

Had a great time on this amazing bar tour with a fantastic host. Great way to meet people and have a chat. This tour definitely takes you to the secret bars in Sydney and there are some pretty cool places out there, you will not be disappointed. If you are thinking about booking any tour with the Local Sauce Tours, do it!

Great experience

This was the second of Local Sauce’s tours my friend and I attended, after enjoying the Hidden Sydney tour too. Justin is a very skilled guide, interspersing a pleasant and friendly walk with stories and facts you’d never have found out off your own back, and guiding everyone to hidden spots and sights. Highly recommended.

Great Bar Crawl

Had a really great crawl with Justin while staying in CBD. We went to a few really awesome bars that exceeded my expectations. Justin shared Sydney history and guided us really well. Really thankful that justin offered tips for me in Melbourne as I was visiting there next. Definitely recommend!!

A Highly Recommended Sydney Tour

Justin and Lisa were excellent guides. Justin explained historical locations as we ventured to four bars in the Rocks area. Each bar had it’s own unique experience and my favourite bar donated money to a great environment cause.

I really enjoyed this tour of secret bars in Sydney's York, Clarence and Kent (YCK) street neighborhood. I was traveling solo, and this tour allowed me to meet fun people (mostly Americans on my tour -- including some who were familiar from my home state), and get to know the city. Our guide, Justin, was really knowledgeable about the city's bar scene and gave us a good run-down of the history of each establishment. He also had good tips for the rest of our stay in Sydney and followed up with other bar suggestions. Would recommend!

Great Tours for Solo Travelers

I booked this tour during my trip to Sydney World Pride / Mardi Gras. I ended up booking the Rocks Bar Tour experience. This tour experience exceeded my expectations. As a solo traveler, I wanted to experience Sydney's bar scene without feeling weird going to bar on my own. As a queer person, I had concerns that the tour may have had a very pub crawl (i.e. masc heterosexual) vibe, but I couldn't be more wrong. The tour had a mix of different people who were all very inclusive. I ended up rotating between everyone during the night and made new friends/connection at the end of the night (which I wasn't expecting). As to the venues...SUPERB!!!! We went to a range of venues (4 in total) from a dive bar to exclusive cocktail bar which offered a range of different drinks to try. However despite the variation in venues all served high caliber drinks. The tour went for about 4.5 hours which was ample time to spend at each venue. Justin our tour guide was super knowledge; both in his historic knowledge about the area but also each venue we attended. He is very personable and made the effort to speak to everyone during the night. Could not recommend this tour more and hope to try the other tours on offer when I go travelling to Sydney again!

Interesting, hassle free tour

We really enjoyed our evening. Our guide was really engaging and we were really happy with the variety of bars we visited. Majority we would never had found had we not booked the tour.

There are three reasons to take this tour. 1. Access to bars you may never see or visit since they are sometimes hidden, 2. Justin the guide is not only knowledgeable but a great guy with tons of information, and 3. Fun, Fun, Fun! I will be coming back!
