Ticketing process was simple and efficient. Tickets were reserved through Viator and picked up at the opera house ticket office. Great experience. Beautiful place. Great tour guide.

Sydney Opera House walking tour was great

This tour gave a good overview of the Sydney Opera House. I liked having the headsets so everyone could hear the guide regardless of where you were in relation to the guide. Seeing a couple of the venues was nice. It was interesting to learn not only opera occurs at the opera house. Seeing the short video was a nice way to give additional information. I especially enjoyed learning about the tiles on the outside of the Opera House. Alot of material was covered in a short amount of time.

Stunning architecture in and out.

The architecture and the history on how the opera was built was truly informative. I am a fan of Danish architectures and this is one I am gobsmacked. Love the wood panels the shapes of walls and the design of the stage. The tour guide also described how the sound is controlled by some invisible curtains. We were also shown the other stages for other performances. Love it. The tour is a must to do.

The tour was very informative and th headsets were a welcome addition to the experience. They made hearing the guide so easy!

Worth it!

I loved this so much. My guide was a little quirky, but very nice and knowledgeable. He provided great information about the structure and history. We also got a chance to witness the rehearsals.

Great way to experience the landmark

Great tour -- took us to multiple areas inside of and around the opera house. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history as well as the inner workings of the space. A don't miss attraction in Sydney -- would recommend booking tickets in advance as they do sell out!

This was a wonderful tour, the architecture and history of the building is so interesting. Our guide was Emmy and she did a fantastic job of giving us great information. Would totally recommend doing this if you are in Sydney.

You don’t have to be a tourist to explore this iconic building. This was an educational and truly interesting tour. We had a passionate, well versed guide, Immy, whose wonderful energy and knowledge made this a memorable experience.

Opera House Tour

Our guide, Nick, gave us an excellent insight into the building of the Opera House and what makes it such a great venue for a variety of performances. I’ve attended concerts there, but feel much better informed having done this tour. Thanks Nick.

Great day at the Opera

Michael was amazing. Very animated, did a great job getting the group involved. Lots of information. Got blessed with a 15 minute rehearsal. The acoustics were amazing!!

Great brief overview of the Opera House

Tour guide was extremely informative about the history of the building and we were able to listen to a choir practice. She also told us about past and upcoming events. Great start to my Sydney visit!

Excellent tour. Well organized and good tour guide. it rained, but that didn't affect the tour at all.

Great access

Wonderful way to learn about the Opera House AND get a close up look at things you normally can't access We even got to see a bit of a rehearsal.

A thoroughly engaging tour

Brilliant tour guide, warm and funny and we got to access lots of areas of the opera house we wouldn’t have need able to solo. It was a succinct and riveting tour, even had my non-musically minded teens engaged. Great combination of information; architectural, musical and historical. Loved the headphones so we could clearly hear your guide throughout tour.

Interesting tour but expensive

The guide was outstanding, very professional, knowledgeable and passionate about the opera house. However for the price we expected to see more of the 1000+ rooms which are not open to the public.

Very nice architecture and very photogenic. Nice ambience and best to see in cool weather. Easy to get to and near to the pier and train station.

Inside the Opera House and the full story of the architecture - with the highs and lows. The views from the Opera House of the harbour and located walking distance to the botanical gardens added the value for the money.

It was a tour of the opera house. There's not a lot to say. The architecture was impressive. The highlight for me was dinner at the opera house. They have the best fish and chips that I've ever tasted. So make sure you choose the dinner option so that you can try it for yourself. The atmosphere was great, but I was there during the Vivid lights festival

Sydney Opera House - Guided Tour

This is an amazing experience. There are a lot of stairs however the experience of seeing inside of this beautiful building was worth it. These memories will be with me forever. There is so much history—happy 50th Birthday to this building.

Very knowledgeable tour guide gave a lot of information about design, and operations of the Opera House. Very easy walking tour for a little more than an hour.

Reasons why we enjoyed ourTour of the Opera House.

Seeing the Opera House up close and being able to be inside a variety of spaces. The architecture and design was amazing to see. Hearing the background story behind what happened during it's design and build. The help that staff provided to make sure we were able to attend the tour was appreciated as our presence, with kids in tow, had overbooked the tour by one 2 year old! I loved it and to top it off we enjoyed a tasty meal together looking out over the harbour at the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

You Will Learn and Experience So Much!

This is a must-do in Sydney. The docents are so knowledgeable about the architecture and history. If you are lucky, like we were, you might enjoy a warm up ballet session and an orchestra rehearsal.

Beautiful building with so much history behind it! Our guide did a great job of answering questions and stating the interesting facts throughout the tour.

Amazing!

Highly recommend this tour. While not very long, it shows you the different parts of the extraordinary architecture as well as the interesting history of the design and build. We also opted for the tour and dine option and didn't regret it. Food was amazing with views of the bridge as well.

Top tour with a top guide Jason

We had the most amazing guide Jason- unbelievably knowledgeable and a delight to listen to. It was really worthwhile. Pity tips weren’t encouraged as he was a winner. Please pass on these comments to him- I’m the blonde who asked if Utzon was still living-😂 obviously I’m not a mathematician. But tell Jason that I have told anyone who will listen since the tour, that the architect who designed the interior of the Sydney Opera House is Peter Hall and is Australian.

Must do in Sydney

It was a great tour inside the opera house. If you don't want to see a show there but you want to see the inside and the history. It's highly recommended!
