Great day trip from Sydney!

We had time for only one day trip; very happy we chose a private tour with Matt. He was great fun and extremely knowledgeable. Our experiences ranged from a stop for fresh oysters on the coast, to a private koala encounter at a nature reserve, a "bushwalk" in which Matt shared his knowledge of the local flora, and a forest with hundreds of hanging fruit bats. Highly recommended!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

Matt is an ABSOLUTE rockstar! We had the most amazing day! My 14 year old daughter said it was the best day of the entire trip to Australia! I did the private tour before a group tour. The difference is night and day. The private tour was hands down the best experience! Matt was knowledgeable, funny, and nice. Perfect guide!

The Real Deal - Unique, Authentic Experience

Rarely does a tour ever live up to the hype. This is the exception to the rule. Matt is fantastic! He really is the real deal. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a unique, authentic experience. It was the highlight of our time in Sydney. He knew all of the secret areas to go. A Great Experience...Creating Memories

We had an absolutely fabulous time with Matt. He was very knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable with him and even got us to be a little adventurous to walk across the rocks at Avoca Beach. We laughed and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Our walk through the bush and seeing the nature of Australia was fantastic. The photos uploaded are just a small representation of the things we experienced and great photos taken throughout the day. No crowds and just a perfect start to exploring Sydney. We got to see kangaroos and experience sleepy time with a koala. The highlight of our trip was meeting a local aboriginal artist and seeing his awesome works of art. We were in awe. Amazing Experience to Remember for a Lifetime

We had the most amazing time with Matt as our guide. Matt is incredibly knowledgeable about the area--from locations to plants and animals to everything in between. He has his tour set up in a way so that you get to see the best of everything AND avoid huge touristy crowds. In most of the places we went we were either the only people there, or there were only small groups. He ALSO takes amazing photos, and edits them so you've got high quality pictures even if you've forgotten a nice camera. I highly, HIGHLY recommend. Matt will make the most of your experience, even if you only have a day in Sydney (like we did).

Matt, our guide showed us local hidden gems that not all tourists get to see. This has been a highlight of our trip, and we had some truly memorable moments that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. We couldn't recommend him enough!

The best tour in Sydney!

Wow! It was the best tour ever. Matt is amazing and we would give him 12 stars if available. He is knowledgeable, respects nature, the animals and loves his country. We saw ocean, forest, the hidden gems of Sydney. He is also a personal photographerand register amazing moments. And to top it off he introduce us to the best meat pie of Australia at the end of night! All we need it at the end of our wonderful day! Matt is our Mate from down under. Matt is amazing! He has so much knowledge of the area and took us to so many hidden gems! We felt comfortable the whole time and he has a great personality. Matt customizes your tour to suit you. He is very well prepared as we had reservations for a koala encounter and lunch. I was cold, he gave me a jacket. It rained, he had umbrellas! He thought of everything. But probably my favorite thing…the PICTURES!!! Matt is also a photographer, and sent us 21 pictures that same night that he touched up and everything!!! Couldn’t be happier!! Definitely book this tour, you won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic day

Wish we could rank higher as this was one of our best experiences. Matt is very knowledgeable and easy to be with. Very accommodating. The day was chocked full of varied experiences and we enjoyed them all. Magnificent views. Great easy bush walk. Loved the animal sanctuary. Very pleasant day and well worth the cost to experience so much of the beautiful Sydney area.

Best day in Sydney

Been here a number of times but Matt took us places we have never been too and each had a special charm. It’s hard to pick a favorite. The view locations were unsurpassed and he was so knowledgeable about everything yet kept the day very interesting and entertaining. It was a wonderful day and we hated to see it end. You can’t go wrong with Matt and Sydney Guided Tours.

Amazing Tour

Matt is an amazing guide. He is friendly and very knowledgeable about Sydney and the surrounding areas. We saw some beautiful countryside in the mountains and also fantastic beaches (where we had a great lunch). Also had an encounter with a cute koala named Arnold, so sweet. Brilliant Sydney day tour

Amazing tour of Sydney and the surrounding nature and wildlife. Matt was brilliant with his knowledge of the bush and helped us discover the many treasures of this great land He was delightful and kind and took us to secret spots, private beaches and other spots that only a true local guide could share. Highly recommend a tour of sydney with Matt!

We had an amazing day in Sydney with Matt! Unfortunately we hit the one day that week where the weather was horrible, but that's just the kind of thing that's out of anyone's control. Matt was upbeat and friendly throughout the tour, and we made the most of the day in spite of the bad weather. Everything was very flexible as well, he gave us plenty of options for different places to visit. We did a short bush walk through one of the national parks outside Sydney, had a close up experience with some koalas and kangaroos at a sanctuary, had a delicious seaside lunch, watched some surfers in action, and took a short hike to see a colony of flying foxes. Either for the weather or the holiday, we were fortunate that most of the stops we went to had few crowds. Matt made the ride very fun overall (we spent a great deal of the time during the rides between destinations talking about and listening to different Australian bands), and the transportation was comfortable. Touring with Matt is ideal to see some amazing sights outside Sydney, especially if you only have a short time to visit.

Hands down the best private tour in Sydney. Matt knew all the local hidden gems. His knowledge of native plants on the bush hike was perfect. A one Day Tour of Sydney and surroundings

Matthew was an incredible tour guide. He had areas he wanted to show us and he also listened to what we wanted to do. He combined this information and gave us a wonderful day. We were able to pet a Koala and Kangaroos. Went to a Gin Distillery, Winery and a Brewery. Visited an incredible park and it ended with a spectacular view of a river from atop a mountain. I would take this tour again and recommend this to anyone staying in Sydney.

Best Tour EVER!

Matt made Australia the most magical place for us! It was amazing doing a private tour because you can make your day your own! We got to pet koalas and kangaroos, grab delicious chocolate, enjoy lunch, discover untouched areas and enjoy the amazing beach and views! We had the best time with Matt! I loved his passion and knowledge of the Wildlife and plants in Australia. He checked off a lot of things to do and see in One day! Favorite Tour

We can not say enough good things about this tour! Hands down our favorite thing we did in Australia! Matt is a wealth of outstanding knowledge and completely entertaining. He personalized our tour based on our interests (and that’s hard to do with our teens), and we were constantly surprised at all the stops/locations he came up with. He was able to take us to breathtaking areas away from all the crowds/tourists (and even the perfect lunch stop right by the ocean). We all still talk about our animal encounters (that we were able to feed and pet without those crazy crowds). He even took several pictures along the way with his camera, so we didn’t have to worry about trying to capture everything. This tour is the first thing our kids talk about when talking about our trip. Would do this again in a heartbeat. 10/10!

Fantastic day!

We had 3 days in Sydney and wanted to see as much of Australia as possible. Our tour with Matt was amazing! Get out of Sydney and experience Real Australia!

Where do we begin?! Matt did an OUTSTANDING job of making our short time in Sydney fantastic! He showed us so many things about the “nature” side of Australia that we never would have found out on our own or with another tour. He took us to a wonderful wildlife preserve with SO many kangaroos as well as other native animals! And then we got to pet a koala, which was perhaps the highlight of our trip! He took us to beautiful venues and beaches as well as a chance to see original carvings from the native aboriginal people. Honestly we just can’t say enough good things about Matt and this trip! Get out of the big city and see the REAL Australia-you won’t regret it, or this tour!

Awesome Tour, Book Now!

Since we planned to see the city of Sydney the next day, we focused on the perimeter attractions including an up close visit with Koalas, Emus, Roos and Wallabies. Great nature walks with a visit to see Aboriginal carvings in sandstone. Saw some fantastic beaches and had a lovely lunch at a beachfront restaurant. The information and texture given by Matt, our guide was outstanding. He gives a 360 on historical Australia with a great overview of today in this great country. Champagne and chocolate overlooking a beautiful beach was the capstone of our best tour in Australia…and we’ve done a lot. Thank you Matt, you’re the best!!!!

Great day around Sydney!

We cannot thank Matt enough for the great day that he gave our group while in Sydney! We only had one full day here, and this private tour was the best thing we decided to do. Matt picked us up at our hotel and showed us around for nearly 11 hours. He gave us options throughout the day and our group of 4 decided from there. If you’re nature and animal lovers like us, this was the perfect way to spend the day and see so much you wouldn’t normally see on a “city tour”. We appreciated seeing the Opera House and Harbor Bridge, but we had the most fun out in the bush. My favorite stops were the animal sanctuary and fruit bats. Matt also took us to several pretty beaches. So if you only have a short time in Sydney, I highly recommend doing this tour to visit and learn as much as possible! x Jennifer from Kansas

Matt was fantastic! We truly leaned a lot about Autralia in one day. Amazing, fun and informative day. We saw so much that we would have never seen without Matt's help. Wonderful experience

Georgia was fabulous, she had knowledge only a local can know. She individualized our private tour to our cruise schedule. She picked us up from the cruise terminal an hour early and we got to see the highlights of Sydney. We stopped at a park with a great view of the opera house, Sydney skyline and the harbor bridge. The kangaroo, koala and emu experience was amazing; the animal sanctuary was such a beautiful place. They had other animals there as well, such as Tasmanian devils, meerkats, parrots, flying foxes, and dingoes. We had a lovely lunch in the shade at the Avoca beach and walked over on the rocks to look out at the ocean and cliffs. Georgia shared a lot about the local and Australian culture and customs. She dropped us off at the cruise terminal in plenty of time to get back on the ship before embarkation. This is a must-do for anyone with a limited amount of time to enjoy Sydney.

Awesome and authentic Aussie experience!

We loved spending the day with Matt. He was extremely knowledgeable about plants, animals, and the history of Australia. He took us on great nature walks and to beautiful beaches giving us an authentic Aussie experience. We got up close and personal with koalas, kangaroos, and even an awesome hidden fruit bat colony. It Truly is Australia in One Day

Wow! It truly is Australia in One Day. The day starts and ends with views of Sydney Harbour with the sun at your back. Urban suburban bush beach river and ocean waves with crashing surf between rocky outcroppings. Aboriginal carvings. And the animals; Iguana monitor wallabys and kangaroos fruit bats, colorful birds and that oh so cuddly koala who put on a show. So much is crammed into the day, yet we were never rushed. Great guide. Well designed itinerary with more to do than you can do. Perfect, you get choices.

Urban suburban bush beach iguanas monitors aboriginal carvings fruit bats wallabys and kangaroos and a koala that put on a show. The day was a WOW. It really is Australia in One Day. Memorable tour - sign up!

This was our 2nd tour with Matt during our short stay in Sydney. Once again, it was an excellent experience, we leveraged several of the optional tour stops. Highlights included stops at several scenic areas, a visit to an animal sanctuary which included a photo shoot with Dobby, one of their koalas, lunch at Avoca Beach, visiting the flying foxes, viewing the aboriginal engravings at Bulgandry Art Site Aboriginal Place and meeting Garry Purchase, an award winning aboriginal artist. Really appreciated Matt’s focus on providing a full day of superior experiences. He was very responsive to my inquiries related to booking the tour as well as outlining our preferences. Similar to our first tour with Matt (Blue Mountains), the day went by quick - we learned a lot, saw a lot, and laughed a lot. Highly recommend using Sydney Guided Tours.

Koalas, Wallabies, and Roos! Oh my!

We can’t say enough about our adventure. We travel frequently and this was one of the best tours we have ever been on. Georgia picked us up at our hotel and immediately honed in on our interests. We were very interested in nature and wildlife and wow did she deliver! She had so much great information about the trees and plants. She could tell us their uses in aboriginal culture and how the plants have adapted to the unique climates of Australia. Then we went to a wildlife refuge that left us amazed. The koala experience was like nothing I have ever done before. To be that close with these beautiful creatures as well as kangaroos, wallabies, and many others was a dream come true. Lunch on the beach was delicious. A surprise hike to see a colony of flying foxes was a truly unique experience. If you are looking to see real Australia through the eyes of a native, this is the tour for you.

Bucket List Tour

This was a BUCKET LIST tour! Absolutely amazing and Matt was so friendly and wonderful during the tour. The kangaroo and koala experience was like nothing else I've done. Truly a must do especially if you only have a few days in Sydney.

AMAZING TOUR - HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Matt’s tour around Sydney was amazing!! My fiancée and I are from the US and have never been to Australia before. We spent a few days in downtown Sydney which was great but we wanted to spice things up and see some wildlife. This tour was perfect for us! Matt took my fiancé and I out for a nature and wildlife tour on our 2nd day in Sydney and I feel like I could leave tomorrow having seen everything. Matt was extremely intentional and helpful with curating the tour to meet our needs. We learned so much about Australia’s ecosystem, history, culture, etc. We got to see parts of NSW we would’ve never known existed. Matt is extremely informed and in tune with Sydney, he was able to answers all our questions. Being able to get up close and personal with a koala and kangaroos was incredible.
