Scammers with no care for their customers.

These people are SCAMMERS beware, read the reviews they have done to so many others. They give you a expired pass which is not accepted on the day. When a request for a refund is made they will give you 10% back. Do not go with them. They are heartless. Can't believe that this is happening in Australia.

Poor customer service

Had to Randel due to a family emergency and didn’t even get a response very disappointed as I requested a refund under the circumstances. .

Sydney visit

Very much enjoy hop on hop off buses in cities we are not familiar with. Great way to see the city and decide what to see. We did have a lot of difficulty reaching additional passes and were unable to use them. Not being phone savy with the app. I Would try again.

Needs some refinement

Go city is a great concept but very confusing, each venue had a different method to allow entry/passage. Had to take a particular ferry to get zoo tix, etc. hop on hop off bus scanners didn’t recognize QR but still let us ride.

A lot of hassle for something that should have been easy to resolve

We purchased a seven attractions Go City Pass for Sydney prior to leaving the UK and as the Go City App suggests decided to book and reserve several of the options given that we were travelling in the busy Christmas season. When we came to board the Hop on and Off Bus tour we were advised that the passes had expired. I had no alternative but to call the Go City helpline to have this matter resolved. I spoke to one customer service agent and was advised that one of the attractions had activated the pass and the Go City Pass had expired. I explained to the agent that we had only just arrived in Sydney and still had a week left before leaving for our next destination. I explained the situation that I had reserved the attractions as advised on their own website and at this point the phone call was ended by the agent. I was absolutely furious given that we were just starting our holiday and I had to sit down and make a further call. The next call was answered by a different agent and I had to go through the whole situation again. The agent explained that all we could do was to wait until we had used the attraction that had activated the card which was on the Wednesday and he THOUGHT that we would be able to continue to use the pass. I explained that I was not willing to do this - firstly, there was no guarantee given that we had already been advised that the passes had expired and also, this was only Sunday and we were not prepared to waste four days of our holiday waiting to find out if the passes would work. I literally had to argue with the agent for approximately 40 minutes until the agent decided to provide new passes which was sent through to my email address. I then had to book all the remaining attractions that I had previously booked prior to leaving the UK.

It was nice to see Sydney in the comfort of the Bus. Especially travelling on my own this was a safe and convenient space

Good pass

The pass is a great thing and it paid off for us because we combined the cruise with dinner, the HoHo bus in Syeney and the Blue Mountains, Urban winery and Taronga zoo with the ferry. However, we ran into problems when we arrived and loaded the card numbers into the app the day before because the agency that organizes the dinner cruises activated our cards when booking and when we arrived they were no longer valid. I called the customer service and they managed to issue us new cards by the next day that we could use and they recognized all the reservations despite the change of Explorer Pass

Excellent value and experience

This is an excellent value for tourist time and money. You can chose what you want to do depending on the time you have available. You don't have to waste time deciding what you might want to do with your time there.

Not so Go with the city pass

I found that not enough information was available to properly get to the sites we wanted. Who knew that the hoho cruise boat was not available every day? Some days were whale watching only. We also weren't aware you had to take a 2 hour train ride for the Hoho bus to the Blue Mountains. It wasn't easy to navigate the pass entrances to sites. They always wanted you to pay upfront. We at least were able to break even. Not a lot of good choices for adults either. I have used London Pass so I know how a good pass should work. The only

Highly NOT recommended

Do NOT buy this. Prior to purchase all reviews were positive so I decided to give it a try with my family- maybe negative reviews are blocked so I hope this one gets out. What a stressful and money wasting experience! Go City customer service no where to be found- zero response and companies unwilling to assist 3rd party bookings. Half the options on the site are no longer offered in person and they also don't mention the companies only operate on certain days. So if you're in the city for just two days like we were, you cannot use the passes and still waiting to hear from Go City for refund....

Unpleasant

The QR code provided cannot be used at your venue. It is not just a waste of money but also waste of time as need to resolve booking issues.

Opera House tour

The opera house tour was very enlightening and very well administered. Great thing to do they had just finished a major renovation of the sound systems a few days before we arrived.

Too difficult to extract full value

Unable to recommend this pass, as using it and extracting the full value was very difficult. Purchased a pass in late 2020 but was unable to use until 2022 due to COVID. By this time, the number of available attractions had diminished (either been removed from the pass or closed down altogether). Was able to use pass for the Sydney Opera House tour and jetboat riding without issue but Sydney Tower Eye wouldn't honour it (we then had to pay for a ticket), bus tours weren't running through the week at the time of our visit, and other attractions we tried were booked out for passholders. Ultimately we paid over $500 for three seven-attraction passes but were only able to use it at three, and would have been less out of pocket buying tickets through the attractions. You might be able to make it work to your advantage but from our experience, I can't recommend.

Don't purchase a "Pass" as it isn't one

I am writing re the unhelpful reservations system for Sydney Pass. It is not a good pass! Purchased a London Pass just pre covid 29th Jan 2020 for well planned UK visit. Paid a premium for 2, but good choices for attractions. Unable to obtain refund when world collapsed, so settled for Go Sydney credit. Due to Covid lockdowns, unable to utilise pass earlier. Very limited Tours now available, limited buses, with many attractions now unavailable, but not informed of this till attempted to make reservations. No one seems to know anything about poor people with credits, they certainly do not wish to assist any 3rd party booking; apart from Dark Tours, Opera House, Rocks Tours. Sydney Eye most unhelpful.

Fantastic Day out

Beckenham, United Kingdo I’d not been to a zoo for 30 years and wasn’t sure what to expect. The day started with a gondola ride over the top of the zoo letting you see the animals and getting a feel for the layout. The tigers, chimps were brilliant to watch - really close up to the tigers! Walked through the enclosure where the Wallabies and Kangaroos were - great to see them without glass or fences between us. The Free Flight Bird show was one of the best I’ve ever seen with literally dozens of birds flying directly over our heads.i found it very moving and it brought tears to my eyes! BUT the best thing we did was the Koala Experence - we weren’t allowed to touch but got so so close - was very reasonably price at 29 Australian dollars for the 4 of us. When told the price I initially though it was each ( still reasonable ) this include a photo of your group with the koalas and of the chance to take hundreds of your own photos! They were so cute and this time I did cry - I was just blown away by the experience. A very tiring but wonderful day - get there early and stay late you won’t be disappointed. Great place to see the Australian unique animals

For the price of the ticket, we rode the air tram up to the zoo and then down to the ferry. We were able to see koalas sleeping and eating in trees. The zoo has zip lines, and rope bridges if you climb up the trees. The zoo has a bird sanctuary.The zoo is not accessible for those with handicaps because of the rough terrain.

Steer Clear of Magistic Cruisemart

The Magistic Cruisemart advertisements showed a nice luxury cruising boat. But it actually takes place on the Dinner Paddle Wheel boat. The boat was slow and not exciting and the boat had a strong smell of seaweed. Do not waste your money or time on Magistic Cruisemart. It's not worth it.

Good value

Give easy access to most important Sydney attractions. Special recommandation for Taronga zoo. Just make good evaluation on how many attractions or site you can go to before chosing pass.

Great Value!

We booked this pass for five attractions and were pleased with the value. We used the Hop On Hop Off bus both in Sydney CBD and Blue Mountains, the Opera House Tour, River cruise and Sydney Tower Eye. All are must see when visiting Sydney and this pass gets you in for significant savings. I highly recommend purchasing this pass. All of these places were easily accessed from the Sydney train system including the Blue Mountains.

Pocketbook-friendly way to explore Sydney

Our travel group of four got our monies worth purchasing The Sydney pass. Just the speed boat tour alone made the four-attraction option worth it. We stayed in Sydney for only seven days so we had to make the most of it and The Sydney Pass was the solution. We enjoyed the Sydney Opera House tour, the Sydney Tower and the Hop On Hop off Bus.

Avoid Magistic Cruisemart 2-Hour Harbour Sightseeing Cruise

Save your money and use the pass anywhere but at Magistic Cruisemart We thought that taking a 2 hour sightseeing cruise with our two boys on the last day of our trip would be the perfect ending to a fairy tale vacation. WRONG! This cruise turned out to be a nightmare. First when we purchased tickets for the cruise, the lady behind the counter could do nothing but complain about the weather and that it was winter. (It was 64 degrees and clear blue skies all day). The cruise brochure pictures a sleek cruising boat, but we quickly learned that the cruise would take place on the Showboat Dinner Paddle Wheel boat. We had seen the paddle wheel in the water earlier in the week and had commented that we didn't want to ride such a slow monstrosity. What a disappointment to learn this was going to be our ride The boat was late in leaving the harbor due to its late arrival at Darling Harbor after a lunch cruise. When we boarded the boat it was filthy. There were dirty dishes and glasses on the tables on the lower level of the boat. The boat smelled of seafood. The interior steps of the boat looked as though they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. Since it was such a beautiful day we decided to sit outside for the cruise. When we reached the top deck we found it odd that there were still several passengers on the boat from the lunch cruise. We could find no outdoor seating, the only seating was indoors at dining tables next to the windows. We were not on a dining cruise and had anticipated sitting comfortably where we could see the views. We asked the Captain if there were chairs outside and he said yes. The only thing we could find were four plastic chairs which we wiped down with our own hand wipes since they were so dirty. The cruise left late since we had to wait for staff to load a cart full of food which I presume was for the dinner cruise. The cruise allowed for one free drink. The sodas were sitting on the bar and were luke warm as was the beer. When we finally left Darling Harbor, we noticed that we could not hear any commentary on the outside speakers about the trip. We ventured indoors to see if we could hearing anything -- NOTHING! We were told the boat would cruise several of the harbors so we were perplexed when the boat turned into Circular Quay. It took over 40 minutes to pull into the Quay as the boat seemed to "tread" water for quite some time. When staff were asked where the cruise went, I was told we were going into Circular Quay to let some passengers off and to let others board. I was also told the cruise went up and down the harbor. I specifically asked if the cruise went to the other nearby bays in the area and I was told yes. Since it took so long to get into Circular Quay we decided to waste $120 and get off the boat. As we were standing at the door to disembark, some woman in a green dress was trying to talk us into staying on the cruise. She told us it was all a misunderstanding. Interestingly enough, another couple left the cruise at Circular Quay as well. We watched the boat long after we disembarked to see where it went as we walked the Botanic Gardens. It went no where......it floated in the harbor by the bridge for a while and then returned to Darling Harbor. This was NOT a sightseeing cruise. It was just an expensive shuttle from Darling Harbor to Circular Quay and back. Magistic Cruise has mastered the bate and switch technique. Do not waste your time or money. There are definitely plenty of other cruises out there that follow through with what is advertised.

Easier Way

Did not use the pass, because of misleading event's. Did everything on my own which turned out to be the easier and cheaper way

Go Sydney is most likely a fraudulent organization. You pay but get nothing.

Chapter 1 I bought the pass in November for my February vacation. The website said to make the reservation as early as possible. So I made 2 reservations in November. In January I noticed that the pass had expired. Because I had booked a reservation in November for February, the pass was activated and declared "invalid" after 30 days. It took me a week and 5 emails before someone got in touch. Finally I got a new pass. Chapter 2 I now wanted to make a reservation for the Sydney Tower. The email address for the reservation was invalid. I reported this to customer support, now the 6th email, but no one wanted to comment. So I didn't visit the Sydney Tower. Chapter 3 I wanted to take the Big Bus. I showed the pass. When Big Bus wanted to issue the ticket, the Go Sydney system blocked the request and the issue was debited as a purchase on my pass. Big Bus could not issue a ticket. Go Sydney is most likely a fraudulent organization. They take your money but there is no service. All the good reviews are most likely bought

Wasted money

Bought a 3 Attractions pass, reservations were either only possible with a lead time of several weeks, the pass was not accepted or there were no replies to reservation requests that mentioned the pass. In the end I did the sightseeing without a pass and visited significantly more than just three attractions and at a lower price. There were also places that are not covered by the pass. Public transport including ferries can be used much more cheaply with a contactless credit card without registration at OPAL card conditions. Requests to support and requests for refunds have so far been completely ignored. So completely useless.
