From pick up at our hotel by (driver)Rob to take off and landing by Jay (pilot) the whole experience was absolutely amazing. The knowledge of these two men was brilliant and funny at times. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending this company. Do not consider the others just go straight to the best.

Great Hot Air Balloon Experience

Fantastic way to spend a morning, all the staff were great and the views very spectacular. They are very passionate about what they do and this comes out in the tour. Breakfast, wine tasting and an alpaca walk were great additions too, showcasing what else is available in the local area. Would recommend this tour.

Great vibes, exceptional service

Every aspect of the experience was exceptional. Kelly is an excellent communicator and comedian, Dawal is an extremely competent pilot, and explained every step of trip clearly. Jay went above and beyond to ensure our trip was extra special. The entire team had the best vibe, and went above and beyond to ensure every customer had a wonderful time. A experience you will never forget.

The guys at Hot Air Balloon where on point we booked a private charter and wow what an experience it was smooth sailing from start to finish our driver Richie aravide on time and took as to the location and kept us company on the driver which was about an hour drive and Jay our pilot was incredible with 27 years experience it does show we took our 3 kids we are all under the age of 11 they felt safe and enjoyed the smooth flight over the hinterland an experience they shall never forget thanks for the amazing trip today.

Awesome way to spend 35th wedding anniversary 😍

Amazing experience for our 35th wedding anniversary. From booking until the end communication was excellent . The ride was breathtaking even though not much wind so didn’t travel too far. Breakfast wine tasting and alpacas at O’Reilys winery was perfect 😊🥂

An amazing experience if you havent done a Balloon ride before do it with these guys

From the early pick up in Surfers our driver Oliver was great a seamless drive to the balloon lift off point, laughs along the way and a pre flight briefing, Our pilot Dhawal was professional and informative with a great sense of humour. They took some awesome photos of everyone in the balloon. Absolutely a dream flight. Thanks guys.

Very well organised. Took good care of the group. Breakfast was excellent at the vineyard. The views were spectacular.

Tranquil and stable

This was a fantastic trip. Our hotel pickup was scheduled for 3:25am. When we came down at 3:24 our driver was there waiting. The balloon is so stable and tranquil that even someone fearful of heights can be at ease. The Pilot, Dahwal was entertaining and knowledgeable. The takeoff, trip, and landing were all picture-perfect. Most of our crew pitched in and helped with packing up the balloon at the completion of the trip, which was also good for a few laughs. The takeoffs and landings are done from cow paddocks, so it is recommended to heed the advice to wear closed-toe shoes. If you are traveling internationally, make sure to clean them thoroughly and declare.

Stunning

As a Canadian travelling Australia, I loved seeing these views from a once in a lifetime experience. Hot air balloon ride was a bucket list item of mine and so happy to do it there.

Hot air balloon flight followed by breakfast at winery with return transfers

This was a wonderful morning from start to finish; worth the very early start! The transfer bus, ground staff and balloon pilot were fun, informative and highly competent, the flight exciting and the views from the balloon spectacular. All followed by delicious breakfast at the winery. Truly an experience of a lifetime! Highly recommend.

Wonderful experience with Jay and crew, they had excellent knowledge of the local area and good description of everything we could see from above; answering all our questions. I felt completely safe at all times. Big bucket list tick.

Hor air balloon with warm people and wry sense of humor

We did the tour reluctantly because it starts at 0330 hours in the morning. Then Rob appeared bang on time and was bubbly and happy as though it was his birthday. Rob made the journey lively with his chirpy and funny conversations all through. We reached the place where the Balloon was at around 0500 in morning. The support crew and Pilot - Dhawal were immaculate in their preparations. We knew instantly that we were in safe hands. The experience was very nice. Our Pilot Dhawal was informative and engaging with a typically Aussie sense of humour. Our landing was very smooth. The hot air balloon experience makes you come very close to Mother Nature and all it’s elements. Post landing was a bit of a work. We joined the crew in folding up the balloon and placing it back in the truck. We then went to Reilly vineyard. Very well maintained, neat and clean and with a homelike breakfast. By the end of it, waking up at 0300hours in morning looks very worth it. Surely worth an experience. Go for it folks. Kudos to Rob & Dhawal and the crew

Sublime experience - magical !

Outstanding all-round experience ! Very professional operation from start to finish. Plenty of pick-up locations with some flexibility (just ask), excellent communication, really pleasant, very experienced and competent staff who seem to thoroughly enjoy their jobs. Balloons launch on average 300 out of 364 days a year, so high success rate. Sublime floating experience topped off with a hearty breakfast and glass of bubbles. Special thanks to Rob - chauffeur and tour guide, Jay - pilot extraordinaire who loves his job, and Matt - all-round guy. Would highly recommend, despite the early morning start :D !!

Well worth it! Great Exoerience!

Hot Air Balloons were extremely well organised and professional. I would gladly recommend them and the amazing experience of hot air ballooning. Kelly was an excellent driver/co-ordinator and very entertaining - not an easy task with a sleep deprived audience at 4.30am in the morning. Stu the pilot was excellent and the whole experience, including the breakfast afterwards was memorable and amazing. My only suggestion would be 15-20 mins longer at o’reilleys so there is more time to enjoy breakfast and still have time to wander the facilities and visit the alpacas.

Stunning!! Well worth the trip

Absolutely amazing!!! This experience is one of a kind, the whole crew (Stu -pilot, Kelly and Wayne -Support crew) were very friendly, highly knowledgeable and made this experience very enjoyable. Kelly had some great puns and jokes to kee the mood light, Stu had fantastic skills and interesting stories and Wayne made all the jobs in the background happen. I loved the view, going inside the balloon once we had landed and the fun facts as we packed up the ballon. The breakfast was enjoyable and the view was spectacular. Great photos too and photo opportunities.

A truly wonderful experience.

It may not be everyone's cup of tea to get up at 3 30 am and be driven through the countryside in the dark, but once you arrive at your destination to see the balloon being inflated that's when the fun begins! The weather was perfect, the views stunning and the pilot(sorry forgot his name) very professional and informative. A smooth landing was followed by everyone having photos inside the balloon and all helping to pack it away. It was then a scenic drive to Oreillys Vineyard for a lovely champagne breakfast and finally back to our hotel by our fantastic driver Chuck. It was a brilliant day from start to finish (a good 8 hours door to door) and we would highly recommend this to anyone.

Great service from the very friendly team at hot air GC, bus transfer included from our hotel on main beach to launch site. 🎈🔥 Very exciting from the moment you jump into the basket! Our fantastic pilot Jay has so much experience and really knows his stuff, and takes his time to answer any questions that about the experience. Perfect landing, then it was back on the bus to an outstanding complimentary breakfast at a beautiful vineyard. Highly recommend this company, and all of their staff.

Magical experience

This is an amazing experience. The team is really good. Not to mention Rob, the driver who is very funny but Wayne and Dwana are also great. They make you feel very comfortable and safe. The experience was not stressful at all. The landing was very gentle and the flight went for about an hour. Breakfast is simple but good. Overall, I would definitely recommend it.

Epic Adventure

Everything was perfect from the start to finish. The team was really friendly, helpful, fun and have a great sense of humour. The weather was amazing which made the experience so much more breathtakingly beautiful & enjoyable. This was a gift which exceeded all expectations. Amazing communication prior trip, great service and laughs with the guys, Kelly, Stu and Wayne knowing exactly what to do to take away any fears. Would recommend this trip. Food at O'Reillys Vineyard very good any plenty of it. Bubbles delicious even purchased half a dozen bottles. Alpaca's and gift shop at the vineyard well worth a visit.

Hot air ballooning over the Gold Coast interland

Had an AMAZING TIME with these guys. We took our 8 year old grand daughter with us and we all had a great time. I have gone on 2 balloon flights even though I am terrified of heights. The thing is when you are flying in a balloon, you are not afraid of heights. It is so gentle and subtle, that it is impossible to be afraid of heights. You just want to be up there forever. All the guys were amazing. Stu, the pilot is very knowledgeable and experienced and we felt totally safe with him; Kelly the driver is such great fun.. has such a great sense of humour and Wayne was extremely helpful. Great customer service from everyone. We also got to walk inside the balloon which is very unusual. Loved that part too. The breakfast at O'Reillys was just lovely and they catered for our vegetarian and lactose and gluten free needs. Highly recommended. Had a great day.

ANZAC Day Flight and Champagne Breakfast

Our booking was cancelled in Covid 3 years ago. Our Credit Voucher honoured today without additional charge. Admin team have been amazing in the 3 attempts through Covid to rebook this trip. Finally today we Tick this Box on our Bucket List. The service was exceptional from start to finish. As a nervous flyer, Rob was reassuring and in contact via text as we met the group at Canungra. Great Aussie Humour and banter the whole way. The 20 years experience of Stu our Pilot was calming and I knew we were in great hands. Absolutely amazing feeling as we float away and no sense of fear for the entire flight. I highly recommend this company and congratulate the team on a memorable, morning. What a great way to see the dawn of ANZAC 2023, as we remembered in complete silence.

ADVENTURE IN A HOTAIR BALLOON

I gave my wife a gift voucher for a Hotair Balloon experience. We both took our flight on April 20th 2023. What a wonderful adventure. We were picked by Rob, our tour guide for the day ... what a great start he had a real sense of humour as he explained the activities and safety requirements. We arrived on site and watched as our balloon was inflated. We then boarded the basket, I have a hip problem, no worries they had special steps just for me. We took off our pilot was Dhawal, he was very good and made everyone very comfortable during our amazing flight. We watch the sunrise over the Gold Coast, our landing copybook. We boarded the bus again off to Breakfast at O'Rilley's Vineyard... an outstanding breakfast, we relaxed for a while then back on the bus our adventure was over. We must thank the Hotair Balloon staff, Rob, Kevin and Dhawal. I highly recommend this fabulous adventure.

Everything! How smooth the take off was, the flight itself, the landing, our fabulous pilot and the crew! Helping fold the balloon was great and so much fun. We loved the breakfast at O'Reilly's vineyard and the alpacas! Honestly I want to do it again and am definitely recommending it to everyone to at least try it once!

A 2:55am pick up almost stopped us but I’m so glad it didn’t! The perfect experience to make the holiday a trip to remember! Ballooning without bubbles What a wonderful experience! Floating over the Gold Coast on a beautiful summer morning. This was a gift for my wife bought in 2018. Due to the recent restrictions, we had not been able to use it. Apart from the very early start, it was an amazing opportunity to fly in a hot air balloon. Thanks to the team at GoBallooning.com. Excellent job! Sadly there were no bubbles at the Sheraton buffet breakfast, sumptuous as it was.

The flight was wonderful, we had great views and the whole team was so nice. We got some awesome photos provided to us at the end of our trip. Our driver Richard was great added some humour to the trip. Jay was our pilot and he just made the flight so seamless and calm. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I had one of the most memorable experiences with #hotairballoongoldcoast. From the time we were picked up through to when we were dropped off, the whole team was professional and welcoming. Chuck, our driver, was cheerful, professional, informative and helpful from the beginning. Dhawal, our balloon pilot, was a great host. He made us feel safe, and comfortable throughout the flight and was full of information about the balloon and his piloting career. We also enjoyed assisting with the packing up of balloon at the end of the flight and also the ride back to the bus. Thank you to @OReillysCanungraValleyVineyards for a lovely breakfast by the creek alongside the alpacas. With great hosts like Chuck and Dhawal, we will definity be recommending this experience to our friends and be booking another flight very soon!

What a beautiful morning we had with a witty and professional team. Stu (pilot) Wayne (crew) Kelly - Driver and comedian :)) made sure every aspect of the flight went to plan. The champagne breakfast at O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyards ensured we finished the morning in style. Highly recommend.

Unforgettable experience

We loved every minute of it! A really unforgettable experience. We got Dhawal fly us and he was brilliant, great landing and tells you interesting information about hot air ballooning. We also had Kelly transport us to and from, he was super. And great job to Kevin too who set up and took down the balloon.

An amazing experience

Amazing! From the start to the end and everything in between was just amazing. Our awesome crew Kelly, Kev and Zenden looked after us and are incredible at what they do. We had fun, learned a lot if interesting facts and just had a good time. The brekky afterwards was a great way to round it all off. Zenden's mastery of flying the balloon while entertaining us with info, updates and great views was incredible. We had a 6 year old and a 70 year old in our family group and the crew were spectacular with them.

A Wonderful Experience

My wife and I enjoyed the Hot Air Ballon experience for the first time the staff were very accommodating specially the Bus Driver Kellie. The Pilot Stewart was great explained in great detail about the operating the Balloon and the sights. Also, the Breakfast at O' Reilys was fantastic and also gave us a surprise because it was my wife's Birthday and they had a Cake for her. Wayne was very helpful also to get us started in the morning and when we landed. Thanks, Guy's, for a wonderful experience which we will remember for a lifetime, specially at our ripe old age.

An absolute must do

An amazing balloon ride that was perfect from the time we were picked up to when we were dropped off. All the staff were super friendly, informative and professional. Everything was explained to us in such a professional manner that you felt confident in the level of competence. All the staff were lovely from the girls who did the booking, Rob for the bus ride with loads of interesting stories and information, Jay for the fantastic flight and Wayne on the ground whom we couldn’t have done without. The champagne breakfast at O’Reillys was the perfect way to finish. Again lovely staff. This was the end of a 60th birthday celebration and it couldn’t have been better. Highly recommend.
