Engineering Marvel

Jewel is an engineering marvel. You got to experience it when going to Singapore. It's one of the most iconic places in SG. The country maybe mostly concrete jungle but it is rich in culture and history. It has diverse set of people living in the area. 😻❤️

Amazing!

Amazing! We viewed the waterfall from many different levels, and it was worth the trouble of going up and down because it looks so different from different vantage points. Loved the experience of being in a lush tropical rain forest, too.

A waterfall in just another mall ...

We had looked forward to landing in Singapore Airport due to all the mentions of it - so the expectations were high ... But the airport is just huge, not great. And 'the Jewel' with the famous waterfall is just a part of just another mall in Singapore. Yeah, we suppose you want to see it, and you can do that very quickly.

Top Level Feature - it changes colours and is best at night-time to watch. It can be seen on arrival from T1 and the levels of shops and restaurants that encircle it for multi-level viewing.

never use viator again

Couldn't open viator site to get tickets. They wouldn't accept printed tickets. Viator site to difficult. Won't use viator again. Had to pay more money in Singapore to use jewel. LS

Nice airport mall

Spent a couple hours here before heading to our hotel. Time well spent-beautiful mall attached to the airport and, if needed, there's a free shuttle to take you from any Termianl to the Mall. Beautiful waterfall area! Nice to see lots of other folks with their luggage walking through the airport mall.

Introduce Jewel changi to my beloved husband We like the decoration, I was visit after Deepavali, some decoration still got Deepavali theme and start with Chrismas theme. I always amaze with their secoration, we took a lot of pictures. The place is clean and good maintenance, comfortable to spend time with my husband ❤❤

Very beautiful but very bad indications.

Absolutely beautiful airport. Must take the time to visit all that you can. Don't miss out on the free visit of the city. I missed it because bad indication in airport. Got to the booth too late. Very sad. I want to stop at this airport again on a next trip on my way to Asia. Someone also told me about a pool you can go to while lay over. Never saw that either. Like I said, very bad indication in the airport.

Fantastic

What a fantastic place to visit. The central waterfall is spectacular and there are so many excellent spots to experience your visit. A must see when in Changi airport.

OMG

No Stress at this airport. The Jewel is a gigantic circular waterfall feature falling from the sky to below it a spectacular tropical garden in the middle of Singapores magnificent airport not just a feature but a destination day out for shopping locals with every conceivable shop coffee house and restaurant you cold desire. I’ve said it before but the pride Singaporeans have in there country and surrounding is 100% justified. To marks to the governments programme and ability to maintain not just build and forget.

Free jewel waterfall viewing

It is free to see the waterfall at the jewel and definitely worth visiting if you have an hour or so spare at the airport. After checking our bags in it was an easy walk from terminal 3 to 1. The waterfall is turned on from 11AM and it's worth checking it out from all the different levels.

Wondering feeling just like you walked into a forest!

Wondering feeling just like you walked into a forest! Have to appreciate the architect for this brilliant idea and how is being maintained. A must visit and suggest to sit sometime there you will sure be relaxed.

Great for an Extended Layover

Not cheap, but worth it--once: A glass walkway-- high above the Jewel base, cost around $10USD/person. It's only around 20meters long (corrections welcome), but it offers breathtaking (literally and figuratively) views and photo-ops. In an attached photo, the object between my feet is a large (20 feet/6meter) Mickey Mouse statue. The information/opinion bellow is well documented, but worth repeating. A layover of 5+ hours is plenty to eat a meal, shop and enjoy the falls and garden. 3-5hrs is adequate to grab a quick bite and snap some photos. Less than three hours? Stay on air side and take photos from the inter-terminal air-train as it passes through (but does not stop in) the Jewel. As the Jewel is on the land side of the airport, you have pass through customs and enter Singapore. The process can take up to one hour. Completion of the SG Arrival card is required prior to entry; details are easily found elsewhere. *Answer the questions carefully. On the SG electronic questionnaire, I accidentally checked that my 8yr old had been to the Middle East... it took nearly an hour to clear up. Returning to air side is much faster. Showing/scanning passport and boarding pass, followed by posing for a photo (for comparison to the scanned passport) takes just 1-2 minutes per person. At Changi, the security checkpoints are at the gates, shortening the process even more.

Another world in an airport

Located at Singapore Changi Airport is the Jewel which is like another terminal. There is extensive shopping and restaurants centred around a massive dome. In the middle is the impressive Rain Vortex and Sheisado Forest. There are plenty of activities including elevated walks and you can spend a couple of hours here and feel like you are well away from an airport.

Probaly the best airport in the world

Our second time in Changi and it was just wondaful. If you got time, there is the jewel and the mall. Self check in luggage drop off was a breeze and the whole airport is just spectacular, with many attractions inside the terminal.

Wonderful Layover

Fantasctic airport ... well... is more like a mall ... you get virtually anything possible in Jewel as if a normal mall maybe more as they got so much food stall variety than most mall can offer... worth while to visit if you got some time layover in Changi Airport. Just need to watch out the time require from jewel to your departure gate, because changi airport is quite big.

Be careful when buying a Sim card from Changi Airport Do not buy from Changi Recommends ( information) as they rip tourists off Asked for a Sim card for 4 days - was told will be $50Sin Questioned the price and was told all the others shops are the same price I know from a previous visit this is not true Look for Telco Kiosks and not the information booth out of Terminal 2 - Immigration doors

Amazing Mall

This is the best shopping mall I have ever seen attached to the airport. It is not only a shopping mall but also a leisure and entertainment destination for travellers and others. You can enjoy it while waiting for your flight or waiting for someone to pick up from the airport. You can store your luggage ( with a fee of around 10 Singapore dollars) per bag, while you enjoy the surroundings in the mall

Airport shopping mall

Jewel is essentially a shopping and entertainment mall attached to Changi Airport. We checked our luggage in at the airport and then wandered across to Jewel which is outside the airport itself. We had a nice lunch at a baguette shop and then wandered the various levels of the mall. The highlight is a massive waterfall situated in the centre of the complex. Amazing. Great photo opportunities from all around and from all levels. They've done it well. There's also lots of lush vegetation. Take the time to walk around all levels to see how well it's been done. Up on the top level is a range of entertainment areas which you need to pay for. We didn't look at any of them but a couple looked interesting. Maybe next time when we have more time available.

Slechte service and update online

The tour was nicely signposted, which also took a long transfer. Now the tour seems to no longer exist at all. Apparently Changiairport has not made an update. It is very badly arranged after Corona. I am with my mother (87yrs) and have hand luggage. I have arranged for my mother to receive assistance but only to the lounge. My mother is not helped to go to the toilet, the fellow traveler can do that. But how are you going to do that if you also have luggage. my mother needs help on the toilet and her change is in the luggage bag. Assistance has become so bad that I have no words for it. Singapore Airlines has become really bad with their service after Corona. Think Singapore is really going downhill. Definitely not a top airline anymore.

Still as nice as ever

Visited Jewel after a 3 year hiatus. It's a nice as ever. The vegetation is more lush now. Always nice for a quick visit to witness that amazing waterfall.

Great Mall, Eateries, Indoor Waterfall & Pokémon Centre

A month ago today, Monday 24.10.22, we went to Jewel Changi Airport which is a new mall attached to Singapore’s airport with Jack, my sister Teresa, brother Peter and my two grandnieces, Grace and Faith 🥰 We didn’t know that they have the tallest indoor waterfall in the world. It was really lovely to watch it! We also went to Jewel Changi food court and it’s so clean and well managed as all Singaporean food areas are and there’s even designated halal and non halal food tray trolley here. Lovely to see both Muslims and non Muslims able to dine comfortably in a shared space, this is harmony 💛 We did the forest trail walks as well as visited the Pokémon shop which is one and only in this region! Quite a lovely day of outing and it’s a huge mall with lots of restaurants so you can spend a whole day here! Easily getable by bus or train and highly recommended 💛

Best shopping mall in the world connected to an airport!

The rain vortex is definitely the highlight of my visit. Although it is connected to the airport terminals (it is a shopping mall and not inside an airport terminal), it is open to the public which means you can visit it if you live in the city, even if you do not have a flight. A brilliant idea ;) As many have said, there´s a plethora of shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. that there is no way you will run out of things to do. I have also visited it a few times during a short lay over and it was always worth it.

It doesn't feel like an airport

Jewel airport is falsely called an airport. It should be the jewel entertainment centre. One should reach hours earlier, do an early check in and visit Jewel. It's conveniently connected to all terminals. You will be greeted with the water vortex as soon as you enter. Then deposit your hand baggage at level 1 and go to the rooftop level to explore much more which means- hedge maze, mirror maze, net walking, net jumping, canopy walk amidst beautiful floral erects, mist bowls and what not. If u still have appetite for more, indulge in some shopping and dining. It will be time for your flight, leaving you craving for some more... Is the best airport experience

The location is huge for Jewel Airport Changi, many place for shopping. They have acess fo Terminal 1,2,3,4.

Amazing airport

Changi airport is by far the most amazing airport I’ve been to. Such a lovely place, with an inside man made waterfalls. The airport is so clean, with tons of shops and restaurants. You will feel so relaxed as you walk around the airport. Lots of people taking pictures.

Terrible Shopping Experience. Not Worth The Grief.

Janitors and cleaning staffs are extremely rude and foul mouth to customers using the washrooms and facilities! They have the audacity to chastise us for the slightest issue. They talk loudly amongst themselves and sometimes shouting right across the shopping aisle to communicate with each other without the slightest regards for the shoppers, totally oblivion to our existence! I definitely don’t recommend this place! There are much nicer malls but this is Not! Made a complaint with management but is futile. Good Riddance.

Out of this world

It’s mesmerising Singapore certainly know how to give an amazing experience. From how magnificent the water fall is to the flowers, lights, food, shopping and photo ops, you won’t be disappointed and your children will love the interactive areas and sights and sounds. Along with all the amazing things you can do in Singapore this is a great addition.

Lots of photo locations

A very new place to spend the day. Besides lots of photo locations, the tours are worth trying. Lots of food outlets and shops too. A very unique shopping and dining experience. You can literally eat the whole day.

Jewel is great

The most beautiful airport! Enterteiment, shopping, restaurants, hotels and Jewel! Great line park for kids. We spent entire day there just to hang out at the airport.;)

A Unique mall next to the Singapore Airport

It's an upscale mall about a 5 minute walk from the main terminal checkin. The waterfall is worth the walk. There are so many restaurants it's difficult to decide where to eat. We were tired of oriental food so we ate at the A&W Restaurant because it was supposed to be "American Food." It was terrible! Our worst meal of the trip. Try the Spanish Restaurant as you enter the mall.

Airport Entertainment!

They made the airport into a destination to relax and shop. The Jewel is very entertaining, immersing due to its constant color changing. The sounds of water with music very relaxing. If you are at the airport travelling or not, go watch the Jewel.

Beautiful changi airport

It has beautiful waterfall inside the airport in terminal 3. Also, there are other attractions such as sunflower garden, butterfly garden, gaming stations and shopping!! Perfect for layover and transits!!

Love this place!!!

Great venue including adventure/flower and plant park, awesome water/music show every evening on the 1/2 hour. Really unique food and stores. So easy to check in and drop off your bags on level one. Don’t miss it!

Best airport I saw

Is the best shopping area in an airport (and I passed 40+), impressive architecture, main brand stores like in Downtown, great food option (fine dining or average price like Tonito, with amazing view). No sense to pay for activities, as you can walk everywhere, and the Flying fox or amusement area are small and expansive. As well as the Baggage depot: NO SENSE TO USE IT IF your Airline have EARLY CHECK-IN in Changi (in Jewel L1) 4-6-9-12 hours before! Just stroll around for 1-2-3H, leave the baggage to your airline directly, and enjoy 6-9 hours of Singapore downtown!

Amazing shopping centre

We came to this amazing shopping centre before our flight home to the uk. There’s hundreds of restaurants we ate at the pizza express and then got an ice cream afterwards at the Denmark ice cream place. There is also hundreds of shops and the rain vortex attraction in the middle of the centre which is a huge waterfall coming in through the roof amazing. You can easily get to the shopping centre from the airport by a 15 min walk or by the free sky train which takes about 3 mins.

The cascade was working but not the full waterfall

A bit disappointing that we only saw the water flowing down the shiny metal funnel as the water from the top was not flowing. However the facility for eateries and relaxing areas is second to none for any airport we have visited.

Wow 🤩

More then just a water fall it’s an adventure in what money can do! It felt like I was in our space and we had build a new world to be live in. Plants, animals, Food, exercise, shopping and more! What in just few hours we got to do was great!

Multi-level shopping / dining mall with amazing waterfall at its center.

This is basically a multi-level shopping / dining mall with amazing waterfall at its center. It is quite busy with visitors from Change Airport as well as from Singapore itself. Excellent photo opportunities, and general entrance is free, although you have to pay a fee for some of the special activities like the canopy bridge at the top. If you fly into Changi Airport, you must however first fill in an embarkation card and go through Immigration/Customs to visit Jewel.

We visted on Nov 08, 2019

There are many nice spots to view at Jewel Changi Airport & there is from Level 1 to Level 5 as well as Basement B1 to B3 Or B4 But the vister who visit the places is not aware or guideline which Level it is. We read there are many items made from flowers example elderly couple, peacock & few others. We were there is not to fill our tome or for shopping but to admire the craftsmen ship. What we saw is the main water fall pillar & the shopping stores. IWe know there are lots of attractions but we miss almost all.

Nice architecture design

I visit three times so far but i willing to visit there again. Shopping around the compound and have a lot of nice food there to eat. but a bit expansive for me.

Fun Mixed Development

Basically, it a multilevel shopping mall surrounding an airport indoor garden with a spectacular water feature. That said, it is a great place to walk, take selfies, walk, eat, walk, sit and people watch, walk and admire clever design. You never need to shop. There are some mazes and climbing attractions at the top floor that cost extra. This is worth going out of immigration control with your carryon luggage and spending an hour or two. Lots of people do it.

Was this really at an airport?

AMAZING and breath taking, it’s the largest indoor waterfall, I had read about it before going and was still totally amazed, it’s worth flying to Singapore just to see it, we managed to see the laser show WOW WOW 😮. If you find yourself at Changi airport please please don’t miss it.

Must see

Even if the flight to Singapore was long, you should take the time to go to the "Jewel" after landing. Entry is free. In a gigantic hall, a 40 m high waterfall falls into the ground. The walls are covered in greenery, trees grow and a cable car runs through the hall. The whole thing is located in a shopping center with many, many shops on the edge of the airport Terminal 1

Great airport

Jewel Changi Airport in Singapore is a very pleasant airport for a stopover. It is beautifully laid out with lots of green plants. The carpeted floor makes it pleasantly quiet. The seats make the time spent there very pleasant and the transit time flies by. The airport is also very clean.
