Great change of scene and biking was a fun way to do food tour

Jeff was amazing. We had a limited time in Singapore and he accommodated us so we could do the food tour. He provided great history on the Katong area. There was so much food but a diverse selection. All of which we enjoyed (ok… I didn’t try the chicken feet!). Really, come hungry.

Bike&Food&James = the best in Singapore

Great tour away from the usual tourist run.

Through this tour we had the opportunity to see an entirely different part of Singapore compared to the usual tourist spots. The tour is nicely balanced with enough stops, all centred around food. We enjoyed the different tasting along the way, despite not all being our/my cup of tea. It is about the experience and trying new things! Our guide Han was very knowledgeable and easy to relate to. Thank you!!

The tour was awesome! I have a 11 year old and 13 yr old and both enjoyed it! They cant stop talking about it and want to retake the tour again w/ Derrick and bring along their relatives! Derrick was great and came prepared! He even has first aid kit and helped my son feel better. He was very considerate to our feelings and asked questions. He is also very knowledgeable about the Singaporean culture. He knows his food as well! I recommend this tour. It is kid friendly as well! Love biking at the coast! Views are great. Derrick also took photos so we can concentrate on biking.

Fun in the Singaporean Sun

This was such an enjoyable bike tour! We stayed close to Chinatown during our visit so this really gave us not only a fun and unique tour of a large Singaporean neighborhood, but it also gave us the opportunity to learn about a part of the city we didn't plan anything in. Zac was our tour guide and he was personable, fun, and very knowledgable. We also lucked out as it was a small group and so it felt even more personalized. I think we ended up with 7-8 different food stops and so felt genuinely stuffed by the end. I would without reservation recommend this food tour and this group, they were responsive and extremely helpful during the tour and after with any recommendations we asked for!

Fun in the sun with biking and lots of food

Had the opportunity to try 9 different local foods and then enjoy a nice, easy bike ride. Zac did a great job leading us around and giving some history and also info about the foods we were trying.

Great food and bike ride

A fantastic sunny day for a bike ride with our tour guide Zac. I know I am usually skeptical when people claim to be full from the food on a tour, but it was completely true on this trip. We got to try 9 different foods (1 bonus dessert) over about an hour and a half. Then went on a leisurely ride through East Coast Park to try to work off some of the calories.

Great food great guide!

James was a great guide who showed us some amazing local food. He really catered for our needs and included lots of interested information and more in response to our questions. He even went out of his way to help us out with some tourist advice and even got us cheap tix to gardens by the Bay

A must-do in Singapore!

This tour was the highlight of our trip! I could not recommend it more. The food stops were exceptional and it was great to see the non-touristy areas of Singapore. I really appreciated that it was a small group and it felt fun to get to know everyone. The one thing I’ll say is that the biking requires a lot of maneuvering on sidewalks and crossings that I would not recommend for a brand new cyclist. But if you have some bike experience, you absolutely should book this excursion.

Lovely alternative to see the real Singapore

The Katong cycling tour is a great alternative way to explore a different side of Singapore. And as always with Singapore; it is about food; especially the Peranakan style. After 4 hours of cycling, eating and chatting about history etc you feel completely satisfied. Zac did a great job in entertaining my two ‘hangovered’ companions with success.

Awesome tour with knowledgeable local guide and amazing food

Han was incredible - we’d give him 10 stars if we could! What an amazing and informative trip. So cool to get off the beaten track and in to the smaller local spots - learning all about the history behind the cuisine as we went. Great photo opportunities and the food was incredible. The only hard bit was saving enough room until the very end! Thanks so much Han we had a great time and learned so much 🚲🥟🍲

Amazing bike tour and interesting history

Thanks Derrick for the amazing bike tour through the old districts of Singapore. We could see lots of picturesque corners and taste dishes specifically "invented" in Singapore, having Indians, Malaysians and Chinese work together. The tour route was great and I think all participants loved Derrick's storytelling about the history and culture of Singapore.

Authentic Katong neighbourhood and it's amazing history and delicious food

Zac has been an amazing host and took us to a lot of local places in the Geylang en Katong neighbourhoods. The food was in abundance and it was all delicious. Tip of the day, please skip breakfast or you'll explode. I've been to Singapore a couple of times, so I had seen the obvious places, these neighbourhoods were very interesting and beautiful authentic. Zac had a lot to tell during the whole trip, food wise, but also about the history of this part of the city. I can highly recommend this bike & bike tour!

A tour to sample some of Singapores delights.

Hun was very informative and knowledgable. It rained on and off during our tour, however it didn't stop us from having a fun time. The food consists of sweet and savoury, including meat and fish. There is plenty of food during the tour offered. Bikes were in good condition and the cycle was easy enough. Thanks Hun ! Highly recommend

A Great Guilt-Free Food Adventure.

Han was an amazing guide with an exceptional level of local knowledge. He weathered a storm of questions from our three teenage sons ranging from politics to engineering and never missed a beat. All this coupled with a gastronomic-focused adventure into the world of Peranarkan cuisine, history and culture. This was certainly the highlight of our four days in Singapore and we would recommend to anyone who wants to see a ‘less frequented’ part of the city. Go with a healthy appetite, we were impressed by the company’s ability to tailor to our food preferences. Make sure you take plenty of water as it is hot work, but overall the cycling component was very manageable and suitable for all levels / ages. Thanks again for the calorie neutral experience!!

Awesome biking foodie Adventure

We loved this tour seeing where the people of Singapore live, what dishes are significant and the significance of the dishes, the history of the area and the final bike ride along the beach front was fabulous. Han gave us insight into each area and the dishes we were eating and answered all of the groups various questions. A must do when in Singapore to see the old suburbs and the fascinating Hawkers centers. If you don’t eat seafood it would be advisable to let them know in advance as a couple of the dishes were too “fishy” for 3 out of the 4 of us but Han changed those dishes to give us a different one which also had a story attached to the dish. Do not eat breakfast as you will be eating enough for breakfast and lunch.

This bike tour is an absolute must for your visit to Singapore giving you local access to the streets and delicious foods where thel locals eat! We did the Katong tour which had all my favourite treats with the Bachang and Curry Puff absolute stand outs. Wyman was a fantastic guide with so much knowledge of the area, the history of Singapore and all the dishes we sampled. He expertly led us around Katong providing so much information and history. Wyman also spent time and provided heaps of links to all the places we needed to visit while in town including a plan! Make this your first stop you won't regret it!

Fun food and bike tour

Great trip with lots and lots of food. We won’t need to eat again all day. Our guide Zac was excellent knowledgeable and fun. We saw interesting parts of the city that we wouldn’t have visited and ate things we would never have tried .

Review of Highlights of Singaporr bike tour. Jan 2024

We arrived in Singapore and got this tour through Get Your Guides. From the get go, the Biking company tour had about four or five people ( including our tour guide) to help all of us. We were fitted with the right bikes and our tour group split up to 6 or 7 per guide. It was very well thought out and organized. The tour started at 9 am, and we started to bicycle away at 8:55 ! Even though I and my daughter Amanda had been to Singapore before, this was my boyfriend John's first time. I had visited some sights independently before ( for example Chinatown) but under our guide Wyman's direction, we saw more sights and some other areas that we would never have visited on our own. At every sight, Wyman explained in depth about the background history of the place...and therefore the develooment of Singapore itself. The tour itself was very organized and well planned. We felt safe and the pace was very relaxing. We truly appreciate this whole experience and were so glad to do this the first morning that we had arrived. Our compliments and gratitude go to our guide Wyman, whose knowledge, kind manners, and sunny attitude made this excursion such an amazing one. Please do this tour, for your first or even fifth time in Singapore.

Interesting and tasty!

Food and culture tour Joo Chiat, Geylang and Katong

Wyman is a really friendly local who is passionate and open about the history and culture of Singapore, Geylang and Joo Chiat. The food highlights during the tour were delicious and you would never know where to find them without taking such a tour!

Best Bike Tour in Town!

This was my second time experiencing the Food and Bike Tour - Joo Chiat. I was pleasantly surprised by the new food stops; it was well curated to show off a truly unique Singaporean food scene. So delicious! It ended with a lovely bike ride around East Coast Park - not too challenging and just the right amount of exercise to help manage the food baby I grew over the 3 hours of eating. Zac was a pleasant host - humorous and engaging. This tour is always a must when I have family in town!!

Wonderful tour of Singapore even for those who know the city well

Amazing tour round east Singapore with stops at restaurants and food stalls we wouldn’t otherwise have visited, and time for some sightseeing and photo stops. Han is a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide who is happy to share his experiences and answer questions. A recommended tour for beginners and regulars to Singapore alike!

Amazing food and views

Amazing views and food! Awesome tour guide. We got to try 8 types of local Singaporean food which were all super delicious. Biking was a great way to see the city. We stopped at the beach in the end as well. Our bellies were very full at the end of the tour and we also got plenty of photos taken (by both us and by the tour guide Zac)

Enjoyable morning

We enjoyed the different ethnic groups snacks and food very much, including the stories told with these cultural cuisines. Our host Wyman has done an excellent job in this regard. We will surely recommend this.

More of a food tour than a bike tour ;)

Great tasting menu of local dishes that would be hard to recreate without a guide. Highly recommend if you like food and want to see the city along the way on a bike.
