Tasty. Friendly guide (shout out Tae!). And we covered a few different neighborhoods. It was totally worth it.

Great experience, ok value

Really knowledgeable local guide who took us to some great spots in markets that would otherwise be pretty overwhelming to navigate. I think there could stand to be more stops on the tour for the amount of money paid, especially since the drink tastings were an additional USD 11 or so, but it was a lot of fun.

Gwangjang market with secret food market.

The tour of Gwangjang market was amazing with different types of food that we tried. Our guide Taeseong was amazing and provided us with so much information. I really loved trying different foods from street stalls and then going to specific shops that specializes in certain foods. At the end, we went to a traditional korean tea experience which was great with traditional sweets.

Delicious way to experience the city!

Chris was fantastic as our personal tour guide for the morning. We didn’t book a private tour but it was just us and Chris. It was so nice to have someone else to walk the market with and show us around and explain everything to us. We tried some amazing food that we likely wouldn’t have found otherwise and we got to just chat with Chris throughout and ask questions. We did this very early in our visit to Seoul which I recommend because he gave us more recommendations for things to try and places to go. He even stopped and helped us find his favorite ramen so we could take it home with us. Our tour was at 10:30 in the morning and we were unable to eat for the rest of the day as we ate so much delicious food and treats on the tour. Highly recommend.

Secret Food tour

Chris was extremely knowledgeable and helpful . Not only was he a extremely knowledgeable on the food part of the tour. We learned a lot about daily Korean life and history throughout the day. We felt like we were traveling with a friend . He made the experience extremely rewarding and memorable . The tour was 6 starts , beyond our expectations.

Food Tour with Chris. An excellent guide for an excellent Tour.

Chris was an excellent guide! The food that he picked for this tour was truly authentic and tasty. We are used to Korean food are not easily impressed but the food we tried with him was very good! the organizational aspect was also great. the restaurants that we visited had everything ready and hot for us to try. Chris explained ingredients and method of cooking. Sometimes he added historical facts about some dishes. We really enjoyed this tour! We traveled with 5 friends and all of us were very satisfied with the experience. Chris gave us recommendations for some local restaurants, and we tried one of those for dinner. The food was excellent, the service superb. i would strongly recommend this tour with Chris to others.

Wonderful afternoon!

Great tour with Taeseong! He showed us some wonderful spots, introduced us to new foods with the explanation of what they were and their relevance to Korean food. Highly recommended!!!

Do It :)

I booked this as a solo traveler, looking to try some traditional Korean dishes. This tour exceeded my expectations! We tried many delicious (and interesting!) dishes. Our guide, Chris, was incredibly informative and friendly - sharing history about the dishes we ate, the chefs who cooked them, the sights we saw. The food and experiences were well worth the cost!

Chris was an awesome guide. Very personable and made sure to give us a thorough amount of context for each of the places we visited. Was very accommodating and made it easy to enjoy the market through the eyes of a local. Chris also went above and beyond with recommendations for restaurants that helped us throughout the rest of our trip!

Food tour across Seoul suburbs

Chris our guide was super helpful and interesting. He never rushed us and catered for the groups various dietary needs. I would highly recommend doing this tour the 1st day of your trip as Chris gives some great tips on many local suburbs and places to visit.

Amazing introduction to Seoul street food

This food tour was amazing. Our guide Taeseong was very friendly and knowledgeable. He made sure that we had everything that we needed and answered all of our questions. My nephew and I did the tour on our first day in Seoul. It was a great introduction to the food and it gave us time to go back and eat this things we loved. I would highly recommend it.

Seoul Food!

Taeseong was such a pleasant tour guide. We had a group of 7 people from around the world and it was such a neat experience. Do this tour to see the best food Seoul has to offer! Including the tea house!! We loved it and highly recommend!

Food for the Seoul

This food tour was awesome! Our guide took us to several different places and we tried things that normally we wouldn’t try. The food was delicious and the experience was amazing! So glad we went to this tour and was able to experience so many different things and to become familiar to the culture. The tea at our last stop was simply incredible. So appreciative to our guide as he also helped with the navigation back to our hotel.

Travelling solo i was keen to try a lot of foods. Tour guide Alex was excellent, kind, patient, and open to questions on both the food and Korean culture. Food was delicious and a good walking tour of the city and its Hanoks. Alex even helped me plan the rest of my stay in Seoul. Could not recommend enough!

A really fun food tour!

This is a very fun and informative tour we took with Chris , a Korean who speaks flawless English with an American accent as he spent his formative years in the States while his parents studied there. He spent close to five hours with us taking us around various restaurants and a market where we sampled Korean specialties. The tour is well worth the price and includes the food . Thanks, Chris for a great afternoon with you as well as sharing your thoughts and insight on life in Korea!

Great tour, we had Alex

My whole group loved this tour. Our tour guide (Alex) did a fantastic job of showing us different foods unique to SK and Seoul while simultaneously taking us through different neighborhoods (with some history tidbits to boot) to show off the vibe of Seoul. On top of everything, he was very accommodating and thoughtful to my wife and I who have a couple of dietary restrictions. He also heard her discussing a specific dessert that was on her “bucket list” and made sure she got that during the tour.

I had a great time with Chris. He gave the group a lot of info about the Korean cuisine. Not only that, but also about the Korean people and their customs, traditions and habbits in general.

Heesu was amazing! She did a wonderful job introducing us to many favorite local dishes. Also enjoyed the market, ice cream stop and tea house. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Good intro tour if unfamiliar with Korean cuisine

Taesong was accommodating and friendly. We had a great time eating and drinking and walking it off. Worth the money. I recommend doing this on the first day of your holiday.

Wonderful Food Tour In Seoul

We had a wonderful time on our secret food tour during a long layover in Seoul. We unfortunately were running late due to heavy traffic from the airport, and our guide Taeseong waited patiently for us despite being late. He was so kind and knowledgeable not only about the food but about the city as well. He was also extremely personable and we talked a lot about our different lifestyles living in different countries. The food was wonderful, we stopped at several different spots for savory food as well as dessert and ended at an adorable little tea house. The tour walks you through several different areas of Seoul so you get to see and experience different parts of the city which is also nice! 10/10 would recommend if you are looking for a food tour in Seoul!

Our tour with Chris was perfect! Really good choices of food and perfectly planned so everyone would feel confortable all the time. Chris would also answer every question we would have about korean culture which was a great plus! Great tour!

This tour is a great introduction to Korean food. We had 7 stops, all very varied. The guide was really friendly and knowledgeable, and accommodated one of us being vegetarian. I would highly recommend the tour.

Excellent tour - highly recommended!

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time on this tour! Our guide, Chris, had a very in depth knowledge of the markets, vendors, and foods we encountered. He also had an extensive knowledge of US culture, having lived in the US for many years, which helped in drawing parallels between our experiences in South Korea and what we've experienced back home. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone that's wants to learn more about South Korean cuisine and culture in Seoul!

Good Introduction to Korean Food

What a wonderful introduction to Korean food - we covered a wide variety of savory and sweet tastes, plus drinks and special dishes. Chris was a knowledgeable guide and happily answered all of our questions about far more than food. We enjoyed walking through Gwangjang Market, Insadong and Ikseondong.

A good Korean food tour.

Chris was a good guide, friendly and informative about all sorts of things Korean. The food was a mix of street and other food and OK but a lot of it. Lose the live octopus!

Great guide but incomplete tour

The guide was great and very kind but the tour should should offer more typical dishes, ones that are out of the ordinary.

Food Tour

We had a great time with Chris who was raised in the US so he spoke perfect English. He was very knowledgable of the area and food and saw to it that each member of the group was able to get back to their hotel easily which was a relief for those of us who couldn’t speak the language. Overall, an excellent time with a very knowledgeable guide.

The best food tour ever!

CHRIS KIM gave us the best food tour we have ever had! We have easily done over 50 food tours in our travels to over 50 countries, so we have a pretty good basis for comparison. Chris took us to a fabulous food market and restaurants and we got to eat over 13 types of Korean food. It was all delicious and interesting and unusual. We loved it! Especially important was all of the information Chris gave us about Korea and Seoul and the neighborhoods we passed through. DEFINITELY A 10 STAR TOUR! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Seoul Food Tour and Hidden Areas

Great time with Chris. For Americans, he was originally from USA so there was no difficulty whatsoever in understanding him. He showed his knowledge of the area by his extensive amount of detail in his talks. He took the time in answering all of the questions of the group. He was a great find as a guide. We only wish we could take him with us in our travels to provide guide services of the other areas we’ll visit.

Seoul Food Tour with Youla

Youla was an amazing guide for our group in Seoul. We loved being in Gwangjang Market and trying the different Korean foods! And loved she took us to Ikseongdong and Insadong. We returned to all of these places later in the trip to be able to spend more time there. Highly recommend taking this tour when you arrive in Seoul so you know what foods to look for during your stay.

I had an amazing experience on this food tour focused on a good variety of classic Korean dishes. I highly recommend booking this tour early in your itinerary to sample small plates and discover what you like. This way, you can order more of your favorites later on in your trip. The tour offered a great mix of street food, local dishes, and drinks, so there is something for everyone. Our tour guide, Hyun (Hans), was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He shared insightful information about local specialties and provided fascinating historical context about the areas we passed through. Additionally, Hyun gave us valuable recommendations for other markets and souvenir spots to visit for the remainder of our trip. Be sure to come with an empty-ish stomach because all the food really does add up!

Fun foodie tour

This was a fun tour and gave me a good first impression of Seoul, Chris was a kind and helpful host. We checked out a few of the must see places in Seoul and Chris was able to get some yum food that you would normally have to wait in line for. He also gave us a great list of other restaurants to try in Seoul.

Alex was a great tour guide. He had a lot of knowledge about the areas we were heading to, as well as the food and other recommendations he gave us. The food was great and a lot, but you don't have to feel obligated to finish it all of you can't eat more, or you don't like it. It was a really fun experience and can highly recommend the tour.

Outstanding food tour with Youla!

Our group thoroughly enjoyed Youla’s tour. We were able to sample a variety of foods without being overwhelmed. Much of the background info she provided gave us a better understanding of Korean food and customs. She also gave us ideas for additional activities. Our group was interested in beauty products so Youla pointed out a few products we might be interested in. She took very good care of us!
