My mom and I really enjoyed this tour! Benny was our tour guide. He was prompt picking us up in the morning. He kept us on a schedule and structured our tour very well! We ended up missing a lot of the crowds, especially at Nami Island, which added to the experience and made for a calming vibe. In addition to all of the information/knowledge about the stops on the tour, we had great conversations with him about a variety of different topics throughout the day! He also took us to a restaurant for a delicious lunch. This day was one of my favorites on this trip so far. Thank you, Benny!

Best tour guide in Korea

Our day began by meeting our tour guide, Mr. Chance Kim. He was prompt, pleasant and very good looking. We enjoyed his comedic style in talking about current events in Korea and also history as well. He gave us plenty of free time and also took us to the best Korean barbecue we've had so far. Both Nami Island and the Calm Garden were a spectacular visit. He showed us all the highlights in both places and even spoke about the trees and plants. Both of these place would be a place where I would come back again and again. What we liked about the tour beside the locations we visited was the fact that we could understand His English and his humor. We have never laughed so hard with the tour guide on a tour.

Nice experience in Korea

Outstanding Tour Time in Korea

Our Tour guid (Mr. Kim) made us feel very welcome and comfortable from the first minute. He was very friendly, professional, personable, and very helpful. We will highly recommend Mr. Kim to our friends and everyone. Nami Island is a fantastic place and we wished we could have spent more time there. The Garden of morning calm is a very unique experience. Loved it.

Great day trip away from Seoul

Our guide Dave was great & knowledgeable about the sites as well as Korean history. I would highly recommend Dave if you have a small group. We liked this tour as it’s difficult to travel by yourselves to these places. Spring is such a good time to go with cherry blossoms blooming & lots of tulips in garden of morning calm.

Solid tour

Kim our guide had a good blend of being part of the guiding but then giving us time to do our own thing. Explained things well, what we were doing when and where to meet.

Go in April

Tour guide Mr. Kim was great! Very informative and entertaining. It was a bit too cold. Its probably better to visit these places later in Spring to see the beauty of the trees and plants. 5 stars for our tour guide!

Great Starter Tour in Korea

We booked the Morning Calm/Nami Island/Petite France experience. Out tour guide Chance Kim, was an awesome, excellent, wonderful tour guide. We were a family of five from Hawaii, and he kept us very well informed about Korean history/current events and the places we were going to. We really loved the resturant he brought us to eat bbq chicken! He is very accomadting, fun loving, and a flexible guide! A nice break from urban Seoul

It is a great way to get out of Seoul if you are looking for a break . Nami island and the garden of morning calm are very developed/commercial areas. It is not wild nature at all so just be prepared for a more produced experience.

Fantastic Day!

BJ was phenomenal; he made the entire day a lovely experience. He was knowledgeable, fun, friendly, and patient. His professionalism was second to none. We enjoyed Nami and the light show at the Garden of the Morning Calm the most. Actually, lunch was spectacular too. All in all, BJ made it an amazing day!

Unforgettable and Memorable Private Tour

Our guide for this private tour was Kim. He picked us up from our hotel on time in a clean, comfortable car that made us feel like we are K Pop celebrities! Kim was very knowledgeable, funny, helpful, and friendly. He happily took photos of us when we asked him. He encouraged us from the beginning of the tour to ask him as many questions about be it about the tour or Korea. Kim organized all the entrance tickets for the places we visited and explained the significance of the notable areas in each of the locations. After introducing and explaining us about the location, Kim allowed us to wander around on our own and enjoy the different sceneries, which we absolutely appreciated. Our first stop was Le Petite France which was about 1.5 hours drive from Seoul. It was a very charming and delightful mini-France which also has guest houses that can be rented out. This place is also a very popular K drama location. Shows like Secret Garden a My Love from the Stars filmed in this spot. Next stop was Nami Island-a popular spot made famous by K drama show Winter Sonata. However, it was more than a show location. Looking and walking around the island in winter was truly magical and unforgettable. There were so many things to do and see. Then it was time for lunch. Kim took us to a Korean BBQ restaurant famous for its chicken. Kim happily took over the BBQ cooking and picking all the side dishes to go best with our meal. It was truly one of the best lunch experience! We were so full at the end. Last stop was the Garden of Morning Calm. It was a beautiful garden with illumination lights set up. Unfortunately, we did not see the night light festival as we did the day tour. We decided that we had to come back. Overall, it was truly a memorable day trip. We didn’t know a lot about the places we visited but by the end of the tour, we truly loved and in awe. Kim gave us a private tour we will always remember for a long time. Highly recommended to everyone visiting Korea. Thank you Kim for an outstanding tour!

Fantastic winter tour

Mr Chan Soo Kim is great company - Knowledgeable and very friendly. A fantastic way to see the countryside in winter. Rode in comfort. Great day out with family. Will definitely recommend Mr Kim to everyone.

Superb Tour

Mr. BJ was very attentive, accommodating and knowledgeable. He gave us a background of Petite France, Nami Island and the Garden of Morning Calm. Plus the free lunch was so delicious and of course authentic Korean cuisine. Definitely 2 thumbs up! Highly recommended!

Spend the day at Nami rather than visiting 2 places

Nami Island was beautiful and very enjoyable. We would have loved to just be there the entire day rather than going to 2 places. Very disappointed with Petite France - I am not sure why this cultural village is still even opened. It’s very run down, everything seemed to be closed and rather than a lively cultural park it was more like an abandoned place which is sad to see.

Nice trip with Kim

Kim is such a very nice guy. He was so organized during our whole day trip that despite the heavy traffic we experienced, he still managed to transport and tour us to Nami Island, Garden of Morning Calm and Petite France.

More than just a sight-seeing tour

My family and I had a wonderful day with Alfonse. He spoke excellent English and is very knowledgeable about the sites and other points of interest in S.Korea, and of course K-Drama. He prompted us when there was a nice photo opportunity and offered to take our picture. He is also knowledgeable about current and past world events, including happenings in other Asian countries and USA. Mr Kim is a warm and friendly guide who has a vast knowledge of Asian culture. We truly enjoyed the 1-day sightseeing in Petite France, Nami and the Garden of Morning Calm.

Out of Seoul

1. Our guide Chance Kim was amazing. Personal tour guide. Took great pics.we loved this private tour. 2. This is a chance to see sights out of Seoul. There were mostly Korean visitors. We were the only foreigners. For us it was great. Some KDramas filmed here. Beautiful pictures. 3. The garden was very tranquil. I could have stayed there all day. 4. This was our last day in Korea and it really was perfect. Good food. Good sights. Got to see countryside.

Nami getaway

This is the ultimate ultimate package. Marie picked us up in her Genesis car. Just me and my husband. Very comfortable. Marie is knowledgeable about her city. You can really see that she lives Seoul very much. She even took pics of us with her phone and still gave us ample time to explore in our own. Will recommend especially we are bit part of a big bus tour so we have our own time away from the crowds taking pictures

BJ was very good, he knew all the spots and gave a back ground on all history on the stops. Along the way he gave expert opinions of all the questions we had while traveling stop to stop.

Took a tour of The Garden...

Took a tour of The Garden of Morning Calm and Nami Island with our guide Sophia Kim. We were travelling as a family with two young children so we wanted to take a private tour so we could be on our own schedule. Sophia was an amazing tour guide, super patient with our kids, interacted with them and related stories of her own children and grandchildren. She treated us like family and we were so grateful. The locations were great for a family and a good retreat if you want to take a day away from the city of Seoul.

Best way to see Nami Island!

Shout out to our tour guide Chance! He was friendly and professional which made the whole tour memorable. We were talking, laughing, and having a great time the entire trip. Chance is very knowledgeable about many things and has many fascinating stories to share. If you plan to go to Nami island, I can't recommend this private tour enough. Chance picked us up from our hotel at 7:00AM. We arrived to Nami Island early and took one of the first ferries over with all the workers. We had the whole island practically to ourselves to take all the picture we wanted (Chance took fantastic photos at all the hallmark places for us then let us freely roam to ride bicycles, eat snacks, and visit gift shops). As we were leaving around 10:40 it was getting very crowded as about 10 tour buses showed up. If you want photos with nobody else inside, go early! He took us to an all you can eat specialty Korean BBQ chicken place for lunch that was tasty and perfect if you wanted to experience authentic Korean BBQ. Last, we went to the Garden of Morning Calm. He took pictures for us at the main attractions then let us freely roam until we were content. We arrived safely back to our hotel around 3PM. Thank you Chance for all the beautiful photos and trip. We will always remember it!

Bright and beautiful spring gardens

Thank you Alfo for a great day experiencing Nami Island, Korean fried chicken for lunch, and the Morning Calm gardens! You shared stories, cultural points, and knew were the best spots to take pictures of these beautiful areas. A private, pleasant day tour outside Seoul

Fast, easy and efficient online booking experience. mine was a private tour, only me and my wife were in the van!!! I felt like celebrity. Lunch was included. The visit to Nami island was very pleasant. Go early to avoid the hoards of people from other tour operators.

Wonderful experience

Fun in the countryside

Alfo, our tour guide, was wonderful and provided us with so much information. He arrived on time and kept us on track to all three places. We first went to garden of morning calm, then to Nami island, and then petite France. He stayed with us most of the time but also gave us free time to be on our own. The Garden of Morning Calm is both beautiful and serene and we arrived early to beat the crowd. Nami Island is a fun place to visit. Petite France was okay. We enjoyed their live show but more suited for families with young children. We highly recommend Alfo and this tour to those seeking to venture outside Seoul.

Did not meet our expectations.

Our tour guide and driver showed little interest in showing the places. As our driver we give him 4 stars. As our tour guide we give him 2 stars. We wished a dedicated tour guide was with us.

This tour with Sophia was great!! She went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable time!! Transportation on this private tour was excellent!! Sophia is friendly, professional, fun, and informative. We learned so much about each location. I highly recommend asking for Sophia when taking this tour. You won’t be disappointed. 👍

Wonderful relaxing day visiting gardens

Our guide this morning was Mr Chansoo Kim. We visited petit France, Nami island and Morning Calm gardens. Mr Kim was punctual and organised the tour perfectly staying 1 step ahead of the crowds. We appreciated the fact that in each instance we visited all sights before the buses came allowing us to take great photos. Mr Kim accompanied us a bit and took pictures for us and left us to wander the parks by ourselves During the drive he was full of information, enough to keep us informed but not that much that it went over our heads. Lunch was a delicious Korean Chicken BBQ Overall a great day , we enjoyed the parks especially Nami island and very happy with Mr Kim’s services.

Good

Nice tour guides. Really helped with how to eat lunch. Left us to enjoy the Island and the Garden without deciding what we should do and so we could go at our own pace. Provided water and answered a lot of questions. We had a great time.

The Nami Experience

Our guide, Alfo, was very friendly and provided a lot of information throughout our tour. Nami was amazing! Not much people when we went so it wasn't that crowded and we could enjoy the island. As for Petite France, it was very picturesque but not much to see. Next time we'll choose the Garden of Morning Calm. Thank you Viator and Alfo for a very smooth tour and experience.

Tour guide likes a friend

We had two days of private tours with Chanso’s tour agency and Chanso is our tour guide on the second day. He is very friendly, punctual and personal. Besides being very accommodating on the day, he gives us an option of cancelling the third day tour because it is forecasted that it will rain on the third day. We don’t even have to ask! He really puts the interest of the customers ahead of profit. Not every guide is the same, certainly not the one we have in Jeju but that is another story. On the two sites we have visited, Nami Island and the Garden of Morning Calm, I am sure both will look amazing if you come at the right time but we were there early March so there wasn’t much to look at. I highly recommend Outdoors Korea and thank you Chanso and Jimmy for taking us around.

The guide tour Dongsu is very informative. We enjoyed walking on the Nami Island and Petite France on the cold day.

The coldest day

Mr Kim, our tour guide, is nice and knowledgeable. The day we had this tour was the coldest day in seoul in the past 20 years, yet, we still enjoyed it very much.

He was on time and knew exactly when to visit certain spots to get the best experience away from crowds. Wonderful guide that made the difference

We took the Nami Island and Garden of Morning Calm option. Our guide, Alfo, was very good in conversing in English, and provided very useful background of Nami Island. Even though I had been there before, I learned so much more from him, which made the difference. He managed our expectation on the Garden, being in winter, with no flowers, but the visit was better than expected with snow covered vegetation giving it a very different experience. Overall, a great trip!
