Honestly, this didn’t feel like much of an experience. I realize that this is a “self-guided” tour, but the effort from the employees seemed pretty minimal. They basically just poured me 2 glasses of different makgeoli and gave me a QR code to scan to read a slideshow about the history and production process, and then left me alone to figure it out. The makgeoli is good, but I’m not sure I would do this again or recommend it to others.

Great tasting and setting.

A great experience - we really enjoyed the setting of the brewery. The tasting itself was very interesting, especially the contrast of flavours between the different types - definitely a worthwhile experience!

Amazing host and experience!

Makgeolli here is very good and the overall experience with Sam even better! Did a 3-week girls’ trip to South Korea in June 2023 and chose this tour as my friend spoke so highly of Sam. Great opportunity to learn about the process to make makgeolli and various types in Korea. You also have the opportunity to purchase some to take with you. Great opportunity for a self-guided tour and enjoy the tasting!

Memorable Seoul experience !

Really enjoyed this tour, a lot more than I expected. And the product, wow so amazing! One of the samplings immediately had everyone touring at the time wanting to buy. Just some of us couldn't as we didn't have the luggage space to travel with. Looking forward to going again!

Unique Makgeolli Experience in superb Ambiente

We went there with friends (3 girls) because we tried makgeolli in korea and thought it was great and wanted to try and find out more. The brewery was a totally great experience. Unlike the local restaurants and bars we've been to before, this was a totally classy ambience and unique experience. We sat at the bar and received information about the production and tasted the wine on the side. The bartender was very helpful and answered our questions. We tasted 2 great makgeolli and were even able to try the clear version. Sam, the host, was very helpful beforehand and afterwards with tips and requests via what’s app. He even gave tips for bars and restaurant to try.

Very cool Makgeolli Brewery!

Spring Breeze Makgeolli Brewery is a cool spot. We tried four different types, and not only were the makgeollis good - we bought a bottle to bring home and share with friends, the bar itself had a great vibe. Learning about the history and process of making makgeolli was bonus.

Great for 1st timers!

Sam is a super host. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about the makgeolli making process. The makgeolli was tasty and I had a great experience trying it for the 1st time. The brewery and bar had a good vibe as well.

Best tour/experience guide in Seoul

Sam is absolutely the best tour guide/host I’ve ever experienced. I have done several tours and events with him and the most recent was at his Brewery. Best Hidden Makgeolli Secret

Wonderful tucked away brewery and makgeolli tasting in Seoul. Highly recommend dropping by for samples and especially going for the most expensive bottle (which is still very reasonable) - you won't regret it and it will change the way you think about makgeolli forever!

Great experience! Highly recommend while in Seoul. The makgeolli is so good I brought several bottles for friends and my wife. I also think the brewery interior design is great, that alone is worth a trip to Spring Breeze.

Great makgeolli experience!

I had a great time learning all about makgeolli and how it's made. Sam was very informative and engaging. The makgeolli they served for the tasting was absolutely amazing as well! I went solo but still had a great time getting to know the other guests. The place was really great too and very easy to find. Definitely a must experience when you visit Korea! I recommended this activity to my friends too

Fantastic Makgeolli testing experience

Beautiful brewery, small and cosy; big efforts to produce local and with the most traditional and ancestral techniques salvaged throughout the tough country’s History. Makgeolli is by far one of the best ones you could ever try with different percentages levels and tastes. 12% one is the most unique and I highly recommend visiting this brewery and going for a taste test. They deserve all the support!

Must go! Trip highlight

This tour was a highlight of our group trip to Korea- An excellent introduction to makgeolli and the culture it represents. Now that we’re back home in the US, we cannot find makgeolli that’s as tasty and fresh as Spring Breeze’s, and you’ll find out why on the tour! Please go to this tour- it’s a must! 12/10

A lovely trip with Makgeolli

This was one of my favourite moments on our trip. Not only was Sam informative, engaging and enthusiastic the Makegolli was also fantastic. All those three put together with like minded people as well, really made this experience that much better. Will come here again just to have lovely Makgeolli with lovely people. I highly recommend this experience. You won't regret it.

Delicious and fun.

I loved this tour! Sam Is charming and fun and the process of brewing maggolli (my new favorite drink) is really interesting. We tasted a wide range of maggollis and of course I fell in love with the top of the range product which is surprisingly reasonably priced. I have promised friends that I will buy bottles for them to drink and take on picnics at the Han river when I return this year. Can't wait! I recommend you go on this tour.

#1 makgeoli in Seoul

One of the best tour we had in Seoul and definitely the BEST makgeoli we had in Seoul. Special mention to Sam who made the tour extra fun and special. Will be back but this time with the whole family.

Beautiful brewery, great makgeolli!

I was looking for things to do with my family and came across Spring Breeze brewery — we did a tasting and my whole family really enjoyed tasting the different makgeollis. The tasting room was also really beautiful! Would recommend this to travellers looking for a taste of Korean traditional alcohol :)

Great Brewery

The makgeoli here is high quality and feels classy! Very nice brewery and close to the station. There is seating at the bar as well as a more comfortable/casual area upstairs. Highly recommend!

Great tour！Sam knew a lot about Korean alcohol beverage industry. In this tour, you are able to know how Magoli process, history of magoli and you are able to drink some hand crafted magoli. Must to trip if u r a magoli lover.

Best Makgeolli experience

It was my first experience at a brewery in Korea, and they explained the process they are using vs others which was interesting. With every new drink they told us a description of the stage and the flavors it will have. I definetly enjoyed it a lot.

I visited this brewery in August and it was absolutely amazing. I loved the interior design and the overall experience. They’re makgeolli is superb, and even bought a bottle a few days later to take back home. I definitely reccomend their brewery to anyone visiting Seoul!

Great experience

Great experience to fill in some time during my solo trip. Got to learn more about makkeolli’s history and tried different variations and understood the flavours better. Walked away the perfect amount of tipsy and with a premium bottle that was delicious.
