Best DMZ Tour Korea from Seoul (Red Suspension Bridge Optional)

Insightful DMZ Tour

Highly recommend this tour of the DMZ. The tour is well organized and comfortable. Gogo, our friendly and informative guide, provided us with interesting facts about the history and tension between North and South Korea. He was good about keeping us on schedule and looking for shady spots for us to stand when we had to stop. There's time to grab a bite at a small cafeteria and visit a souvenir shop. Be aware there is a lot of walking and much is up and down steep slopes (especially at the Third Tunnel).

Great experience

It was a great experience that I recommend. Sunny was an excellent guide! It started very early in the morning but we were back to the hotel by 15.30.

Great Tour and Great Tour Guide!

Highly recommend doing this tour. We learnt so much about the tension between North and South Korea along with the history between the two countries. Special shout out to our tour guide Yuma who was fantastic!

DMZ Tour

The tour to the DMZ exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide, Sunny, was rich with history & stories to enlighten & educate us throughout our tour. She was very attentive to our questions & followed through with her promises to forward photos of our trip. We highly recommend Sunny as a tour guide and if you can request her do it!

Nature and history

A day with beautiful nature by the suspension bridge which makes me want to go on a hiking trip in Korea soon. Yuna, our guide was amazing and gave us all the info we needed and more. Learned so much about the countries history and ongoing battle.

Sunny’s Tour with Excellent Stories and Surreal Sights

Sunny was an excellent tour guide and told very informative stories of the history behind North and South Korea in way that made it fun to learn about. I liked seeing actual landmarks such as unification bridge while she referenced them in her stories. The tunnel was surreal to walk through and the soy bean ice cream in unification village was good as well.

Excellent guidance

Our DMZ tour with Jenny met all expectations. I was impressed with her cheerful enthusiasm and ability to lead us all through the maze of military instructions, requirements, and changing schedules that all the tour guides face. Do take all the warnings about the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel seriously and opt out or go only part way if not well physically fit.

Best experience ever!

Lina was an amazing tour guide!!! She explained everything extremely well, was very knowledgeable, and gave lots of reminders but also added humor so it was entertaining! You didn’t feel the hour drive there because of the fascinating facts and things Lina was sharing with us the whole time. The tour itself was awesome! We got lucky and had a super clear and perfect day so we saw a lot of North Korea! The tunnel wasn’t too bad for us because we were expecting it to be much harder as everyone in the reviews kept saying. The unification village was neat to see and the soybean ice cream is very unique. Of course the North Korean view was the best part, but a close second was the red suspension bridge! The view was breathtaking!!! Lina also took our pictures after we crossed too! I definitely rate this experience a 10 out of 10, and you’d be very lucky if you got Lina for your tour guide!!

Great tour with Henry

Henry was a very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide! I had a great time on this tour and learned so much about Korean history. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Seoul and to ask for Henry as your guide! He also provided us with lots of great recommendations around Seoul.

Informative trip and very friendly guide .

Our tour was very interesting , our tour guide Henry , was the perfect host , and made the trip both interesting and thought provoking , with general history and reems of knowledge. He was helpful in the shops, helping me to pick out some items , and always on hand for questions. On our last stop we tried soy bean ice cream . A great day was had by all .

DMZ- worth a visit

Great day at the DMZ

Henry, our tour guide was great. Easy to understand, and had an answer for every question I asked! He was also good at keeping us to our schedule which we appreciated. The tour was worth doing. We only had 3 days in Seoul and I wasn't sure if we should spend the day in the DMZ but I was glad we did. Lots of clean eating places, toilets and air conditioning!

One of the must see tour in S. KOREA.

It is an interesting tour to see the border between north and south Korea. The sight is magnificently beautiful with a sad history of conflict.

Best tour guide in the Land

Thanks to Gogo we learned so much about how the DMZ works and its history, he told us all the stories during the whole journey in depth. We entered a Nord Korean tunnel, we went to an observation platform and saw North Korea with our own eyes. Gogo even was offering everyone to take pictures and he’s really good at it. Will definitely come back with other friends to share this experience with them !

Thank you Gogo (our guide) which teached us a lot about the DMZ and Korean history. The activities are tiring, make sure to wear something light in summer as you will sweat a lot ! :) Overall good experience

Amazing experience

Travelling with gogo to the DMZ was a real pleasure. I could learn about new things, find out more about Korean war, especially some interesting details. Were I to choose once more, I would definitely go there with gogo. It was an honor.

Great All Around Tour with Yuna

Excellent Trip with 4 Main Events! The Tunnel / Overview to North Korea DMZ / DMZ Village / Red Suspension Bridge. (The Tunnel is a workout, be prepared) All in all Yuna our tour guide did a great job. We had plenty of time on all the stations we have visited. The Buses have AC and enough room to sit comfortably. Yuna was wonderful! She was a wealth of knowledge along our journey. We appreciated her perspective and guidance along the way. The only thing that could have made this experience better was being able to go to the JSA, if we know this is beyond Yuna’s control 😁 Grateful we had the opportunity to take this journey with Yuna. A day well spent

Team Nancy was great. I came to the DMZ back in 1983. I couldn’t believe how much it has been built up for tourism in a good way. Our first stop was at Imjingak Park. It was quite emotional. Then we went to the Third Tunnel and DMZ Theatre. A short but informative movie. And then the descent! It was an 11 degree long ramp to get to the tunnel entrance. Even if you are 5’3” you will find yourself needing to duck at times. Then we went to Dora Tower.There is an observation tower (the weather fairies were with us) and we could see all the way to Gaesong in North Korea without the binoculars. Finally the suspension bridge! So cool, unless you have a fear of heights. What we appreciated about Nancy was that she kept us together as a group, downloaded plenty of information about each site and gave us the extra time to check out the parts that interested us. We were grateful for her candor on which souvenirs were worth getting and why. And finally, on our specific tour day, there were 600 tourists from China. Due to that, we didn’t have the chance to take the gondola because of the long queues. However, her experience had us moving along quickly so we would always be one step ahead of the large group. I can highly recommend this tour. It is sad but eye opening. I wish that Korea or the tour would show a short video of the folks who were briefly reunited at the border during the 1980’s. It really drove home the sadness of never being able to see your loved on again. (Perhaps it was in one of the museums but we didn’t have enough time to peruse the exhibit

Fun and worth the hike

Lina was an amazing guide! She was bright and cheerful even at 6.30am in the morning all the way until the end of the day nearly 10 hours later. Her commentary was informative and she made sure to let us know when to take photos. We had a great time!

Best DMZ Tour!

Yuna was the best tour guide. She was very pleasant, helpful and very knowledgeable of the Korean War. She assisted in translation with the locals at the restaurant and recommended a few things to checkout in Seoul.

Great tour but no guarantee you sit together.

Lina was a great tour guide. However my family of 5 was separated because of the bus seating. It would’ve been nice for there to be an effort for families to sit together.

Amazing tour guide

We had the privilege of doing the DMZ tour with Yuna. She was so amazing and friendly. She was continuously willing to answer any questions, attentive, got us the best spots, took pictures for us etc. We definitely recommend her as she was a highlight of the tour!
