Mount Batur is Worth the Climb

Our guide for the hike, Madi, was wonderful. She made sure we were safe and allowed us to climb at our pace. While the hike was strenuous, she made us feel safe. The views were worth the climb, simply gorgeous when the clouds parted. The breakfast and warm coffee was appreciated. Our driver was on time and very helpful. We enjoyed the hot springs after our hike and our visit to the coffee plantation for some samples and relaxation.

Absolutely Wonderful

This was such an incredible experience! Though we had a foggy morning and weren’t able to catch the sunrise, the trek itself was once-in-a-lifetime experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting Bali and is physically able to do the hike! Made was a great organizer/host, we thought we’d fall asleep on the early drive to the volcano but time flew as we chatted the whole way there. We really enjoyed getting to know him, learning about Bali, and receiving lots of helpful tips and tricks from him!

My Mt. Batur Trip

We had a truly amazing day! Made, the driver, was kind and helpful and so patient. We never felt stressed to hop in the car and go to the next place/activity. He just said that he was ready when we were, so you could really enjoy your time at the hike, hot springs and coffe- and tea plantation. Our guide at the hike, Komang, was also super helpful and always made sure that everyone was ok. Stunning views at the hike, relaxation at the hot springs and a new, fun taste experience at the plantation.

Absolutely amazing time with Made and our guide for the trek, Arto! Although we were a bit unlucky with the weather once we got to the top (incredibly foggy day), we were fortunate enough to catch some stunning views on our sunlit trek back down! Made was super friendly and helpful, and our guide, Arto, was an absolute legend!

Great Views

Our tour guide was Wayan, who was very helpful and funny! We really enjoyed the tour together with him! He gave us a lot of information and gave us enough time to enjoy nature!

The best experience ever - highly recommend. Both of our drivers were lovely. Our tour guide to climb mount batur was amazing, so kind and funny too. This is a must if your in Bali. John was also great. They all made sure we had the best time.

Awesome Experience

Amazing trip, our driver Ketut was perfectly on time and really friendly offering to stay as long as we liked at the hot springs which was really nice as we weren’t rushed or anything. Our trekking guide was amazing and I couldn’t have made it without him, he let us set the pace and made sure I got to the top when I wanted to give up!

Very Enjoyable Trip

Our excursion was incredible. Starting off with an easy ride where we all were rocked to sleep, then meeting up with the kindest guide to lead us up, finishing with breakfast at the top, and a special request of being dropped off at another destination! We definitely recommend.

Amazing Guide & Views

Organized trip, all the team worked well, our pick up driver contacted us 1 day before the activity started and he arrived on time then he took us to the starting point to start the hike and meet our guide Guide Komang is a very polite and kind guide he always helped us when we had difficulties on the hike he also took lots of photos and videos for us I really had fun on this trip

This was one of the most amazing experience we had in Bali. The moment and sunrise cannot be expressed in words. The drivers here are very frienly and good photographers, they took soo many nice photos of us. It's will unforgetable tour for us in bali. Recomended to take this trip

excellent trip

This was our first experience at Mount Batur, and we really liked this trip. Excellent trip with a great driver and tour guide. The guide on the trek was extremely helpful and accommodating, he always helped us and took photos like a professional photographer. Our driver was great, he answered all our questions and gave us plenty of time to explore Mount Batur and the Hot Springs.

Mt.Batur Sunrise Trekking & Hot Spring Tour

This whole tour was fantastic! Our camping was so great & comfortable. The dinner cooked over the fire was delicious too!! The Trek was harder than I expected but our guide Komang was amazing and helped me up the whole way! The sunrise was totally worth it & the hot springs afterwards were the perfect reward. Having delicious coffee in the plantation afterwards really woke us up. Thanks to our great driver too, who got us there and back again! Thank you

The tour was Amazing. Everything worked out very well. Our driver was very entertaining and attentive and gave us some tips. Our guide at Mount Batur was very nice and helpful. She explained some things to us and took wonderful photos of us on the side. We would recommend the tour to anyone and do it again and again

Bali treking tour

Highly recommend this tour! The guide was fantastic and super helpful. He took the extra time to make sure we weren’t too tired and to help us up some of the steeper areas. The sunrise was beautiful and was made even better by the acoustic guitar playing and singing from our guide. He was also an excellent photographer. The hot springs afterward were the perfect way to relax after the uphill hike!

Highly recommended

Driver and tour guide Mr Wayan is very polite and friendly throughout the trip, making it an enjoyable and smooth trip overall. He coordinated with the biking guide Mr Gede and transition was smooth at Mt Batur. Mr Gede was also very patient with me during the cycling tour. He constantly checked on me to make sure I kept up with him, and he showed me around the black lava fields, a village and temple, and led me to the hot springs. After having a relaxing soak in the hot springs, Mr Wayan took over and drove me to lunch with a nice view, and then to a coffee plantation and tasting thereafter. Everything was executed smoothly and I'm back at my hotel in the afternoon. A very nice and relaxing trip, with professional tour guides! Highly recommended, 5/5.

Great Experience

Spectacular trip! The view from the top were amazing. The driver, Ketut, was really kind and professional, arrived on time and got us back to the hotel quickly when the trip ended. Our guide, Made, was really knowledgeable and knew some great routes up the mountain. He was really friendly and made sure the group was ok going up, and made a good breakfast! Would definitely go again.

Good Views

The climb was tough for me but my partner really enjoyed it! Our guide Made was amazing - she really helped me on the tougher parts of the climb and I couldn’t have done it without her! She was amazing! He really helped the whole group when we all had difficulties and was super funny and friendly. The view at the top was a little obscured by clouds but we managed to get some good views of the sunrise. Although it was tough an absolute 10/10 experience! Worth the 1:30am wake up!

Trip to Mount Batur

We had a very nice trip to mount Batur. Everything worked out is easily. The hike was super nice and enjoyable but since it goes 1,5h straight up I would recommend a certain fitness level. A special thanks goes to our driver Eri who was on time, drove as safe and sound all the way to the mountain and back and was open to any questions and special inquiries. 10/10 recommendation!!

Great Experience

Both our driver Juna and our guide Jenar were fantastic! Juna answered all of our questions about things we saw on route and Jenar took lots of care in getting us down and down the mountain safely 😅 we had the most beautiful sunrise and even saw some baby monkeys at the top of Mount Batur

Very Enjoyable

The climb to the viewpoint was challenging but doable. There are breaks in between and you could communicate to the guide if you wanted to slow down. The path is very dusty in the dry season so be careful if you have sensitive eyes or asthma! There are a lot of people at the lookout point, but the view is beautiful, so the trip is definitely worth it. On the way back down the mountain (if you leave early) you have a great view and not so many people.

Worth it

We had a wonderful time with our guide and our driver Ketut was excellent. They provided a small breakfast at top with coffee and tea to purchase. The guide took the time to take pictures of us and walk us through the more challenging aspects of the hike. Wonderful experience and the view was absolutely stunning!

Great experience and lovely driver and guide

We had a fantastic day, with some amazing guides taking us through from beginning to end! Our driver Gede drove us to and from Mount Batur and the coffee plantations, and Putu was our guide for the hike itself. Both were welcoming, kind and made our day unforgettable! Gede was always on time and made an effort to chat to us. Would highly recommend to friends and family who love a good adventure and would be keen to visit Bali in the future.

Great Hiking Experience!

This day is really well organized with a very pleasant driver and guide. After the effort of the climb we are rewarded with a magnificent view and breakfast. The massage which is optional following and really great and the thermal springs end the day in style.

Our driver Ketut was very friendly, punctual and extremely accommodating. Felt very safe with his driving! Our guide for the hike D was amazing, very knowledgeable and a complete gentleman. Overall a great and smooth experience. Thank you very much Ketut !

Very good company, awesome staff

Komang was great, he was on time and got us to all the locations in the trip with plenty of time. Made was a great guide, took us up and down the mountain at the perfect pace for us. He was particularly useful helping my girlfriend down the mountain as it was quite slippery.

Great Experience

Jenar was a great driver starting our day at 2:00 am. The hike was great, we were offered an orange, a banana sandwich, and a granola bar with a hard boiled egg at the top for breakfast. The hot springs were very refreshing after a hike and the coffee plantation was interesting. You got to try the tea and coffee they made there (except for the most expensive kind). Our guide Jenar even brought us to a chocolate shop which was nice! Great expJenarence

Amazing views

Felt safe during the whole activity. The hike's level of difficulty is rather medium because the path practically only consists of sand. But you get a stick and torch, which I appreciated a lot. The view on the top was amazing as we were one of the first groups to arrive. I definitely recommend both our tour guide and driver. Thank you guys!

Perfect

This is an amazing trip for anyone to do and comes with great guides and excellent transport to and from your hotel. Our driver was fantastic and was always there when we needed. She is a true local and has extensive knowledge of the island and what it has to offer. In addition, our hiking guide called Technik for the climb up Mt Batur was also a local and had a great sense of humour. He really got to know everyone individually and made sure we all had breaks when needed. Overall a big thanks to and Technik for making the day very special and unforgettable.

Lovely tour

The day was wonderful. Our driver Gede was prompt and ensured we understood what we needed and made us comfortable. Our hiking guide Putu was a steady hiker who took some great photos of us. The trip up the mountain then to the hot springs and coffee plantation was fabulous. A truly memorable day.

Amazing sunrise trek to mount batur!

Getting up early was definitely worth it, you will be rewarded with an incredibly great view of the sunrise. But the hike should not be underestimated. It takes 1.5 hours to climb quite steeply, the ground is sandy. The pace was quite quick, but there were breaks. The hike wasn't a problem for me, but some of the group didn't make it to the top. The thermal spring was more like a swimming pool with warm pools, I wouldn't book it in this form again. Overall a great day with a super nice guide, Komang!

Sunrise hike

We had a beautiful sunrise on the volcano, the thermal spring baths were perfect to relax after the hike. After the warm bath and the hike we got a little tired. Perfect for coffee tasting. On the farm we learned a lot about growing coffee and tea and the different varieties. The driver Nengah was great, he drove very safely and was even able to teach us some Balinese.

Morning climb!

My driver, Juna was very punctual when picking me up. He was super friendly and easy to converse with.. He was waiting for our group when we arrived back at the start of the hike. He worked your guide Putu to ensure we were fully taken care of. Putu is a very caring guide. I was a slow hiker and Putu stayed with me making sure I was ok. Great team at GYG. I would book with them again!!

Tranquil Trek & Thermal Delight: Mt. Batur Getaway

Had such a good time with my friends on this sunrise hike! Our driver Ketut and guide Jenar were the absolute best, they made the trip so enjoyable with their amazing hospitality. Sunrise was beautiful too, and made better by Budi’s excellent breakfast. Never get this happy about having to wake up at 2am! Highly recommend :)

Amazing and Adventurous Experience

Top was my driver and he was great!! His English was very good and he told me a lot about Bali. It made the drive fly by. We were able to visit Natural Hot Spring after the hike - they were beautiful. He was ver accommodating and was able to drop me off at the Monkey Forest at the end. I forgot my hiking poles in the car and he came back looking for me to give them back to me! Thank you Top!!!
