Wonderful Evening

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this evening the food was OK but the real stars where the musicians and singers I understand there is a performance every evening but it is obvious that the standards set remain high, we had a table at the front and we are glad we did we even had a brief ,but enjoyable, involvement in the performance, well done to all of you fantastic evening

This Dinner concert was well worth it!! The Dinner was OK but the concert was simply Fantastic. My wife and I really enjoyed it and we're very impressed with the Two Singers and Musicians. Great Performance... Bravo!!!!

Worthwhile experience

Wonderful experience! Music was exceptional and the singers were very entertaining. My husband and I loved it! They even provided a vegetarian option for my meal that was delicious.

Mozart Dinner Concert

We have just returned from Salzburg. Whilst there we went to the Mozart Dinner Concert. The setting was lovely with nice stained glass windows and an interesting frieze on the ceiling which I think was the last Supper. I'm not normally an opera fan, but this performance was very entertaining with a good small orchestra and two very good singers who knew exactly how to please the audience. The food was nice and each course served between performances. A very enjoyable evening. One slight point, the venue is a little difficult to find and could do with a few more directional signs.

Music was wonderful, but the food absolutely the worst

The music is wonderful but the food was terrible. For a famous restaurant in the old district it is some of the worst food I’ve had in Europe. The meat was dry and bland, and the sauces lacking. I had bad stomach afterwards as well. I paid with cash and they didn’t give back the changes and just took it as tips, without even asking at all! It’s a total scam! If not for the music I’d give give 1 star. The music was really enjoyable but the food and service left a sour taste in my mouth (and stomach.

Great performance and dinner, but upcharges are a scam

Incredible performance and fantastic dinner! They charge over 8€ for a bottle of water though, which is a disrespectful exploitative scam. It is very upsetting that they upcharge so egregiously. If you go, demand tap water because this was insulting.

Enchanting evening - very enjoyable

It was a nice event to attend. It was organized pretty well. The performance was very good, and the food was good as well. A couple of things to mention. When we booked this event, we have been under the impression from the photos that we have seen on-line that it will be a lot smaller event with only a few tables. To our surprise we discovered upon arrival that the hall was packed with tables. There was a lot of people to be served, and it looked like there wasn’t enough servers as waiting time to be served was pretty long. Another thing. I personally found it a little surprising that the female singer, while being dressed in a costume of the old days, had her hair completely undone as if she just rolled out of bed. Aside from that – it was an enjoyable event in a beautiful hall.

A night to remember!

The music, the opera singing, the setting, the dinner and wine, all together made a most memorable night.

Entertaining but not outstanding

Interesting close up venue of a combination opera and classical music. Performers were only slightly above average. I base that on the fact that we had attended an opera at the Vienna Opera House earlier in our trip and we saw top tier talent. Also food was embarrassingly average. Started with a lukewarm clear soup, followed by overcooked banquet style chicken. Dinner was saved by the dessert- a Salzburger Nockerl soufflé. Would I go again? I don’t think so. But everyone has their own definition of what is good and what isn’t.

Great music and singing. Terrible seats where we looked at the back of the singers and musicians. No one should have this PREMIUM table.

Adored this experience

Magical evening! I had no idea that I’d enjoy this as much as I did. From the warm and welcoming maître d, the really lovely dinner to the totally entertaining singers and musicians, we had a delicious time. The venue is over the top with history and the modern decor is colorful and whimsical. I’m so glad that we attended.

A wonderful musical evening

The setting was lovely and authentic, the food good, and the music and singing excellent from a highly talented group.

Enthralling!

This evening was amazing, so much more than we were expecting! The venue was breathtaking - oldest restaurant in Europe, built 803. The opera singers were first class, on par with the performers I've seen at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London. They were enthralling! And the 3-course dinner was lovely too (wine expensive but then all of Salzburg was too), waiters gave a first class service. Lovely evening!

Beyond Wonderful

*****Beyond wonderful. Highest rating. We were celebrating our anniversary and will remember this evening for years to come. The singers, string quartet, and ambience excellent. The food was delicious and service great.

Amazing experience even for non-opera fans!

I took my parents and we all had a great time! We are not very familiar with classical music or opera but we were still blown away by the performances! Having the performers move throughout the dining room makes the experience very intimate and special. Without the separation of a sound system, you can really appreciate the raw talent of the singers and musicians. We had the pleasure of seeing Niccola Ziccardi and Donata Meyer-Kranixfeld, both of whom amazed us with their stage presence and musical talent. The food was delicious and the service was quick and attentive. The performances timed out perfectly with each course of the meal. It was the perfect ending to our day of sightseeing in Salzburg.

Highly recommend

The food was good. The performers were fantastic! I enjoyed the evening and the others at my table! My server was excellent and even showed me some of the older rooms of the restaurant that has an interesting history. I highly recommend!

Evening delight

Wonderful dinner and great performances. The facility catered to our need for a vegetarian diet and the singers and musicians were outstanding Bravo!

Absolutely fantastic!!! - This is not the sort of thing I would normally go for but I was blown away!! Brillant singing, great musicians, very entertaining and food was lovely. Everything was perfect and well worth the money, I would highly recommend!!

Amazing experience!

My husband and I very much enjoyed this dinner concert. The food was delicious and just the right portions. Music, both instrumental and vocal, was incredible. Our server was amazing - attentive, gracious, friendly, and accommodating. Truly a highlight of our time in Salzburg. Highly recommend this experience!

Nice Experience!

Nice evening of entertainment and food, both excited our expectations! The location of St Peters built into the hill side was very special, arrive early at the restaurant below and enjoy the history!

Amazing Salzburg experience

Such a great event if visiting Salzburg even for a short time. The entire experience was excellent - venue, staff, music and food. The musicians were all amazing.

Lovely dinner with Mozart performance

A very enjoyable evening, not to be missed in Salzburg. The performance was high quality, the venue is beautiful, and in spite of my low expectations regarding the food caused by a couple of the earlier reviews, I found the food to be delicious as well.

Incredible Evening

Attended the Mozart Dinner Concert on 11/23 at St. Peter's Stiffskulinarium and was so glad we did! The music was provided by a piece orchestra and the show had 2 opera singers as well performing songs while acting out the lines from the various operas. It was incredibly entertaining and well worth the ticket price. There was only one meal option (chicken soup, chicken entree and a dessert. We didn't care much for the menu and was a little taken back by the prices of the available wines as no alcohol was provided in the ticket price. But given that we would definitely still do it agin as it was that good!

Music was exceptional and service was great, food was good but keep in mind it was designed to be a menu Mozart would have eaten.

Wonderful concert but the food and cold spoiled it!

We booked the dinner-concert on-line a couple of months before our trip. It was easy to book and we chose the ticket price that gave us a good view of the stage area. The day before the dinner we checked out the venue as it was a bit complicated to find. On the night we arrived about 30 minutes before the set time and were greeted at the door to the room. We were literally ordered to take our coats off and had to hang them in the cloakroom. I asked if the temperature would be warm enough as it felt bitterly cold, but a lady insisted that it would be okay. We were then shown to our table and told we had been up-graded to a table just for us two. There was a good view of the stage area. The waiter came then with the wine list. He tried to talk us in to ordering a bottle of white to start with and then a bottle of red! I told him that I just wanted a glass and my husband sparkling water! He didn’t seem too chuffed! In fact he was quite brusque. The temperature of the hall was too cold for confort so I went and got our coats. I noticed a few others hanging on to their coats or wearing jumpers. The concert was absolutely fabulous. Basically it was a musical piece and then a course of the meal. The musicians were fantastic and the singers walked around the room so it felt incredibly real! The costumes were amazing. The first course was a soup, or rather a consommé. Rather bland. Then the capon served with vegetables (plural) but I only got carrots. That too was bland. The worst part was the dessert it was like two balls of uncooked meringue with a tiny amount of jam underneath. The dessert was so “popular” that there seemed to be several left and we were offered extras! There was no coffee or tea. A wonderful concert but the food was bland and boring and the room far too cold. We went back to our hotel cold and hungry. Would not return. We should have just gone to a concert without the dinner.

Fantastic experience! Delicious dinner, beautiful historic dining room complete with chandeliers and first class waiters! Show was humerous and encouraged audience participation. Opera singers and orchestra were stellar! Highly recommend!

A little night music

Absolutely delightful evening. Performers were spectacular. Food was even better than expected for a dinner show. Hope to be back!

Great evening - good traditional food and an extensive wine list coupled with Mozart music, and performance at a great venue.

It was great performance. Would definitely recommend it! I did t like seating with my backs to the show. And the dessert was lacking berry sauce on the bottom.

Mozart Dinner

Vocalists were OUTSTANDING! Charming and talented. Musicians were fine as was the food. Patrick and Petra gave excellent service. Very enjoyable evening!

Unique baroque experience

Amazing, don’t think about it just book it. Amazing music, opera and delivered with humour. Also made a special desert for my wife’s birthday and met a lovely Canadian couple at our table.

Lovely Evening

This is fantastic! The music, the food and the ambiance is wonderful. We attended this our last night in Salzburg and it was truly the icing on the cake of our time in this beautiful city. It would have been a shame to miss this or any other experience that gives you a wonderful taste of Mozart. The singers and musicians were incredible. I’m so glad they shared their talents with us. The service at the restaurant was also very good! I would highly recommend this event, you won’t regret it!

Worth doing in Salzburg for a night out.

The concert was short pieces from Mozart operas and was very well done. The singers especially the female vocalist were great as was orchestra. It had elements of good humor as well. The food was just ok. The soup interesting, the chicken and polenta very good and meringue dessert fair. All in all it was a good experience!!

One of the highlights of our trip to Salzburg

We had the best table in the house. Right in front of the chamber orchestra and vocalists. They were very engaging and obviously enjoyed performing. As a musician and, one who has played some of the operas being performed, I was very impressed with the quality of the musicians and vocalists and the attention to detail during the performance. The meal was delicious and brought out between performances so you could really focus on the musicians.

The highlight of my Europe trip!

If you are lucky enough to go to Salzburg do not miss the opportunity to attend a Mozart dinner. This was the highlight of my Europe trip. The hall was beautiful & historic. The food was delicious and the waiters were all wonderful. The instrumental ensemble was incredible! The opera singers were amazing! They interacted with the audience and it made it very special. Thank you all for an incredible experience. I’ll never forget you!

Wonderful evening with Mozart

Loved this dinner concert! The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious and the music was wonderful! The singers were great and they even sang songs from my 3 favorite Mozart operas. It was an evening to remember — highly recommended!

Mozart dinner/concert was the highlight of our visit to Salzburg!

This has been the highlight of our trip to Munich and Salzburg. The singers and musicians are young and so talented! They sang arias and duets from 4 different Mozart operas. All were dressed in period costumes. The concert/dinner was held in a lovely, candlelit Rococo ballroom. The program started with songs from one opera, followed by the first course, then more singing, then the main course was served, followed by more singing, then the dessert course and finally the last set of songs. The wine list had over 800 bottles to choose from. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Get the best tickets that you can afford so that you can be close to the stage. It's worth the extra money for this experience. Program starts at 7:30 but get there at least 30-60 minutes in advance.

Highly recommend, must do in Salzburg!

Amazing! The music was phenomenal in such a special setting. We loved it all. The food was reminiscent of Mozart's time. It was delicious, especially the unique Salzburg dessert. Yum! I took my 3 boys ages 9, 11 and 13 and they absolutely loved it. What a perfect way to experience their first Mozart concert!

Highly recommend

Everything about this evening was wonderful: the setting, the food and music. There was plenty of room at each table, waiters were attentive and food was quite good. The music was interspersed between courses and was superb - both the musicians and the two singers with the exquisite opera voices. Apparently there was a program which we could have pre-bought that we didn’t know about which would have described the scenes being sung, but the soloists had wonderful facial expressions and movements which told the story without the need to understand the language. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. 7:30-10 pm.

Great family evening

Lovely entertaining dinner which our two teens enjoyed as well thanks to the engaging performers. We loved the Mozart selection - some familiar to us, some not. The performances were lively and lovely. Concert started at 7:30 and was over about 10. The musicians and opera singers perform between courses. The food was all chicken based which was a positive for our family who tired of schnitzel and veal several days ago! We didn’t realize most people would be quite dressed up. Women in dresses, many men in sport coats. With my husband son and daughter all in shorts and nice shirts we felt under dressed but certainly we were not made to feel that way! Extensive wine list.

Amadeus revisited!

Fun and lighthearted evening in beautiful early 1900s salon near historic cathedral where Mozart actually played. Musicians and singers were very talented and entertaining. Wait staff were excellent. Great for kids too as they were included in the performance. Period style dinner was chicken and polenta, chicken dumpling soup and dessert was light sugared whipped egg whites. Enjoyed this very much. Amadeus revisited!

A fun evening

A very fun evening. The concert was delightful. There were selections from Don Giovani, The Marriage of Figaro and The Magic Flute as well as Eine Klein Nachtmusik. The meal was served during the intermissions. The food was surprisingly good for serving that many people in a short period of time. Even our friend who is not an opera fan had a good time
