Hallstatt from Salzburg - 6-hour private Tour

Great day visiting Hallstatt!

Patrick was an amazing guide. Our family of four took the tour in October. Patrick was on time and knowledgeable in everything we asked. We needed to make a few adjustments to our day and he was totally accommodable. We had some with mobility issues in our group and Patrick made sure that we were all able to get the best experience in our day and recommend what was best. Once he knew what we were interested in he made sure to point things out. We loved every minute.

Amazing trip with beautiful views and a great local guide

One of the best trips we have ever booked. Our driver, Patrick, was outstanding-very knowledgeable and friendly. Hard to describe the beauty of Hallstatt - every angle was a picture. We highly recommend and will be back for another trip with Patrick!

Hallstatt

We took the tour to the Hallstatt from Salzburg. WOW! So beautiful! The tour guide was punctual and professional. He drove us to our destination and pointed out several areas on the route! It was spectacular scenery and the tour guide/driver knew the area well! He maneuvered the traffic well and took different routes to and from so we could see different scenery. We were very pleased with this group and would recommend!

Great way to see Hallstatt!

This was an excellent tour! Our tour guide Patrick picked us up promptly, and drove us to several beautiful spots on the way to Hallstatt. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and enjoyable. Hallstatt was a picture perfect town. Per Patrick’s recommendations, we rented an electric boat to go out on the lake, and had lunch at the Gruner Baum Terrace restaurant. Patrick met us at the other end of town and dropped us back at our apartment. I highly recommend this tour and Patrick!

Best tour ever - don't miss this one!

Hallstatt is absolutely stunning, and our guide - Patrick - was amazing. Professional, knowledgeable, funny, and responsive to our in-the-moment requests. He knows the area very well (he grew up there) and even our most unexpected questions led to a terrific story or example. Each stop was better than the last. Next time we're in Salzburg, we will 100% choose another tour with MCM and Patrick!

An amazing tour to Hallstatt from Salzburg!

Everything was perfect, our guide Patrick was very nice and took us to beautiful spots on our way to Hallstatt to take amazing pictures and knew very well the history of each place. Very clean and comfortable van for the four of us.

Scenic day trip from Salzburg

Amazing day trip from Salzburg with stops at various sites in the lake country along the way. Tour guide was very friendly and we had plenty of time for pictures and a great lunch in Hallstatt. Can’t beat the views.

Great Day Trip from Salzburg!

Manfred is an incredible guide! He picked us up from our hotel promptly and made us feel so comfortable! On the way to Hallstatt he even stopped by sights that were off the beaten path and we were able to see different parts of the beautiful Austrian countryside. In the description of the tour it said we’d have a photo opportunity at St Gilgen, however we had already taken photos there on a separate tour. Manfred was so considerate because he didn’t want us to have a repeat experience- instead he showed us other beautiful landscapes so we can really appreciate the diverse natural beauty of Austria! Upon arrival at Hallstatt he provided directions to get to the most picturesque spots and made lunch reservations at Hotel Grüner Baum. We didn’t expect the reservations but we’re so happy that he did! The restaurant had such an amazing view of the lake and town. He really helped us maximize our time. The whole experience was just so charming- I highly recommend this tour! Manfred was so wonderful and patient with us! Thank you again, Manfred!

The driver was friendly and knowledgeable. The van was super clean and comfortable. Would recommend those who keen to go to Lake District without hassle.

Wonderful

What a wonderful tour! Patrick is a wealth of information about the area. We stopped at a number of places to take pictures of the most gorgeous scenery on the way to Hallstatt. He made a reservation at a lovely restaurant in Hallstatt where we ordered traditional Austrian food. Patrick took care of every detail. He was so easy to talk to and was eager to answer all our questions and offered recommendations of places in Salzburg to eat. Great private tour

Hangover cure we didn’t know we needed

Patrick was the best part of our trip! He was such an amazing tour guide (despite our obvious hangovers)- he made the experience so enjoyable. His expertise and light hearted spirit was the perfect start to our days. Patrick even went as far as to book us a dinner reservation in Salzburg! Day from Salzburg

Lena was great. We stopped for photos along the way and she answered every question we had. At Hallstatt, they made a reservation for us for lunch so we had a nice meal and still had time to take photos, shop, and take in the town. Great overall day away from Salzburg.

Great day trip from Salzburg

We loved our day trip to the Austrian Lake Country & especially beautiful Hallstatt. (Though we were glad we hadn’t opted to spend a night there!) Everything was exactly as advertised. Our driver, Patrick, was pleasant, polite, patient & professional & the van was very clean & comfortable. Highly recommend MCM tours.

Sound of Music/Lake District/Hallstatt

Not sure if this was the same tour we were on, but we had Patrick as our guide and Manfred as our driver for this personal Sound of Music tour on our way to Hallstatt. It was the highlight of our trip to Austria! We decided while visiting our daughter, who was studying abroad in Vienna, to visit Salzburg as well. My husband got us this tour and we all thoroughly enjoyed it!! We have so many pictures, I can't add all of them. Patrick provided so much detail and insight into Austria for us! It was wonderful. I highly recommend!!

Beautiful Town, Excellent Guide!

Our family very much enjoyed our day trip to Hallstatt. The little stops along the way made the trip extra special. The scenery and foliage were just gorgeous. Patrick was a fantastic guide- very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us really helpful advice on how to spend the remainder of our time in Salzburg. I highly recommend this tour, and I would not hesitate to book again with them in the future.

Just nice for one day activity from Salzburg

This 6 hours trip was just nice for us, a group of 6 persons. Enough time in the car and couple of photo take location in lakes, with mountains as background. Got 2.5 hours to spent in Hallstatt, with 1 hour spent during lunch, the timing is just nice. Back to Salzburg at 4 PM, still have time if you want a quick stroll around the old town.

Lakes region and Hallstatt

We spent a week in the Salzburg region and this tour was by far the best day of our whole trip. Patrick was our guide and he was amazing. Highly knowledgeable, friendly, wonderful conversationalist, and a great driver. He took us to some places off the beaten path we would have never seen otherwise. Excellent English speaker and just all around great. Showed up early, took care of us in every way. Perfection.

Had ample time to explore village and took a boat ride on lake. Lena was informative friendly and a great driver.

Amazing landscapes, hidden spots and great conversation learning about local culture and customs -all that on top of gorgeous Hallstatt. Lena was so generous with advice and flexibility. She also helped us book the right place for lunch and provided all advice needed for our own exploration of Hallstatt. Definitely the proper way to visit this iconic town from Salzburg!

Loved this tour

Patrick our driver and guide was amazing. We learned so much on this tour about the country and the history of the area. We made a couple stops along the way to take breathetaking photos. Once in Hallstatt you feel like you have been transported to a fairy tale town. Minus the hordes of tourists (just like us) the town is magical. We hope to make it back one day and stay the night. If you are considering this tour ask for Patrick he made this tour awesome.

Amazing day tour to Hallstatt from Salzburg!

This is the first time for us to visit Salzburg , Austria and we are delighted to join MCM Tours for this amazing day trip. The communication and pick-up arranged were wonderful. Our tour guide - Manfred is a passionate and knowledgeable guy. He is friendly and kind enough to share with us a lot of information about Salzburg even Vienna (our next destination after Salzburg). Due to time limitation, we opt for the 6 hours private tour to Hallstatt. I would recommend everyone to go for the 8 hours tour and you will really enjoy the full day 8 hours tour i am sure! =)

Beautiful Hallstatt

We highly recommend this day trip to Hallstatt. The town and the landscape are incredibly beautiful and we had plenty of time to wander around and enjoy a nice lunch. Our guide, Manfred, was very friendly and knowledgeable; he gave us tips not only on how to spend our time in Hallstatt, but also pointers for top attractions, view points and restaurants when we returned to Salzburg. His restaurant suggestion was our favorite meal of the trip. Manfred stopped at several charming spots on the way to Hallstatt so that we could take pictures; and he also took some great family photos for us. We were picked up promptly at our Salzburg hotel; transportation was a small luxury touring van that was quite comfortable for our family of three with plenty of room for more.
